| Dec 2023 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE | All warning lights come on and engine lags. Lights come on every time and lags about every 10th time driven. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | POWER TRAIN | I drove my 2019 Honda Accord EX-L from my house, about ¼ mile, to a stop light. I noticed that the outside temperature readout on the dash, which started out at 28 degrees, was rapidly rising. By the time the light turned green, the outside temp read 42. After driving several hundred feet the readout dropped back to 28 degrees. After traveling about 1 mile more, at either the next or 2nd red light I came to, while idling, I noticed the car was vibrating. I put the car in neutral, raised the engine speed slightly, and the vibrations went away. I placed the transmission back into drive, and when I went to accelerate, the car would not go faster than about 10 MPH, and the “malfunction indicator light” came on. I was able to make a U turn and head back towards home. Even at 3000 RPM the car was going about 10 MPH, but I noticed if I took my foot off the accelerator, as the RPM’s were winding down, it was like the transmission engaged just a little, enough to speed up an MPH or two. If I gave it gas again, I was back to about 10 MPH max. I limped back to my home, and had to leave with my other car for an appointment. While I was away, my wife heard the Honda’s horn in our driveway continuously honking. She went to the Honda and when she grabbed the driver side handle, the honking stopped. That afternoon I had the car towed to Troy Honda. When they drove it, it worked fine, and they got no hits when they scanned the computer. I picked up the car without the problem found or solved. The service manager said without it acting up on their test drive and nothing showing up on the computer, there was nothing they could do. How can the malfunction indicator light come on, and then leave no code to be read? This is definitely a safety issue. This problem could be deadly if it happens, for example, when I am in the middle lane on an interstate. At the least this problem could leave me stranded who knows where. This is serious. This is dangerous. In my opinion | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | On Thursday November 16th at around 8:00 am I was driving down La Cienega Blvd going around 30-40 mph. I was about to pass a green light when my 2019 Honda accord sport started showing the brake signal on my dash. My car suddenly brakes and comes to a complete stop by itself in the middle of the road. There were no cars in front or on either side of me, no potholes or anything of that matter that would’ve caused this to happen. I am now suffering with severe neck and shoulder pain from this unexpected incident. My 1 year was also in the car with me. My car is now being inspected at the Honda dealership where it was purchased. | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 1 | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | These cars being known for having very bad fuel injectors. So much so that Honda cannot keep up with the demand for replacement parts. These cars are now being known for blowing head gaskets and having their fuel injectors go bad before 80,000 miles. It’s not just a simple fix because when these injectors go out they turn off all of the safety equipment on the car and make it loose all power. This happened to my wife while she was driving on the highway. Thank god she was able to pull over safely but this is an issue that needs to be looked into and addressed before someone gets killed! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | VISIBILITY | My windshield has a stress crack I know it's a common problem | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Nov 2023 | STRUCTURE | Paint on my Platinum White Pearl 2019 Honda Accord 2.0T Touring has started peeling in the rain channel on the roof. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | I was highway driving when suddenly a brake light flashed on and off and car came to an immediate stop (then go). There was no use of the brake pedal, nothing ahead of me - and fortunately no one behind be which could have resulted in a serious crash, Safety was a major risk!! Husband checked fluid, car is now "awaiting" inspection at a reputable diagnostic service location. Read an article about these similar defects/complaints, but the Honda dealership claims there have been no like incidents, complaints or concerns. I read otherwise that indicated such events were under investigation (CNN Wire Feb 27,2002). When I called another dealership, they explained that there were not enough complaints to warrant a (safety recall). I beg to disagree!! Today's date is 11/04/2023. Thank you. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Since may or June of 2023 my car has automatically breaked at random times without coming close to anything. It has happened approximately 5 times, 3 times on the freeway when I was going anywhere from 40/70 miles an hour and twice on side streets going less then 20 miles an hour. It has caused me to think I was getting rear ended due to the brakes slamming for no reason. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | ENGINE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE | My car will be driving down the road and all my lights will come on and go to fix the problem and they all come back on . I’ve had the car for two years and been in the shop majority of the time . First the front senor was bumped out so none of my safety equipment on the car did not work , all my lights where lit up and check engine was blinking and went to take to Honda dealership and they said they tightened the bolts and car is running good and I picked it up and 15 miles later all my lights came on blinking , this has been ongoing and I know online the years 2018-2021 have has similar problems. I have a warranty but I want to get this checked out for others as well | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | TIRES | The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated that on three separate occasions, a bubble had formed on three different tires which resulted in the tires being replaced. On each occasion, an abnormal, thud-like sound was coming from the vehicle. Once the vehicle was taken for an inspection, the contact was notified that a bubble had formed on the tire. The contact stated that the failure had occurred twice with the rear passenger’s side tire, and once on the front driver’s side tire, each with a different tire brand. On the last occasion, the contact stated that while driving at 75 MPH, the tire pressure warning light illuminated on the instrument panel with a burning rubber odor coming from the vehicle. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 38,000 |
| Oct 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Car won’t start suddenly. Message says “brake system not working contact dealer”. Then says “system initializing” then goes blank. No response at all when start button is pushed | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,SERVICE BRAKES | My three year old daughter was locked in the vehicle recently which is a major safety concern and was a very terrifying experience. All door locks were malfunctioning. I was unable to gain access to her for several minutes via my key fob or manually pulling the handle/latch. It was in the 40s, after several minutes I was able to gain access through the drivers door. I struggled to undo her car seat from the front. Finally I was able to reach her and she crawled out through the front seat. I was frantic because I was unable to manually unlock the doors when the door release latching system failed. The very next morning I went to warm up the car to take my daughter to school and 10warnings displayed: TPMS, brake system hold, brake system performance, vehicle stability assist, hill start assist, adaptive cruise control x2, electric power steering, collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation. This incident constitutes as CHILD ENDANGERMENT in the state of NC. I am terrified and afraid to drive this vehicle, because if in the event of an emergency the doors/car could malfunction AGAIN and we would not be able to exit the vehicle. Surprisingly, I took my car the next morning to a scheduled diagnostics appointment with my certified Honda dealership and they failed to identify the problem. This experience is very anxiety provoking and overwhelming to know that the one thing that is supposed to protect us and keep us safe is the one thing that failed us. Someone needs to hold Honda accountable before this defect results in bodily harm/injury and/or death. This is something that should be taken seriously as Honda has had known problems with the body control modules and safety mechanisms. I would like for NHTSA to conduct a causation survey for failure of safety mechanisms. I would like an update after investigations have been conducted. Sincerely, Terror stricken and perplexed mom. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Car will apply brakes randomly without warning. This will happen when a vehicle is in the left or right driving lanes. Car has been to the dealer to address the issue as recently as 7/17/2023. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Door actuator malfunctioning on 2019 Honda Accord. Won't lock at times, won't unlock at times either. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | We were driving on I 75 southbound just north of Knoxville. We were in high speed lane going 60 mph (adaptive cruise control and front collision mitigation systems were on). We were on cruise, and had been for many miles. Our cars adaptive system had slowed us to 60 mph due to traffic, and again this had been for several miles. The cars braking system suddenly brought the car to a stop. I swerved to left to get in median and floored the gas peddle to get out of the way of traffic behind me but nothing worked. The car came to a complete stop in seconds. Again in high traffic in the fast lane of interstate. It was a clear, beautiful day. Luckily the 3 vehicles behind me were able to swerve and brake in order not to hit us. If it had been a semi behind us…. We would not have had a chance. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE | The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle hesitated, and the engine misfired before the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The contact then stated that while the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle hesitated and decelerated to a slower speed. The check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated that while depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle hesitated and the engine overheated. The vehicle was then taken to a body shop where it was diagnosed that the radiator and thermostat needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the head gasket and intake manifold failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken back to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the head gasket and intake manifold had not failed, but the contact was informed that the fuel pump failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced the NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V314000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was notified of the failure by the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 126,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 126,000 |
| Sep 2023 | FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE | The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. There was no warning illuminated. The failure mileage was approximately 104,422. | Crash: No Fire: No Towed | 104,422 |
| Sep 2023 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | I was driving 40 mph on a street when the car's break suddenly went on and the car stopped. There wasn't another car in front of me, no animals or birds were crossing my path, the car just braked and then stopped. The car then started moving again after I pressed down on the accelerator. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | SEAT BELTS,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Seat belt: multiple instances where the seat belth latch does not fully engage causing the seat belt to unlatch while I'm driving. Engine/Fuel: Car bogs down specially with hotter weather. Stalled twice in the past month. when attempted to restart the car, it would crank but it would not be able to fully start. I had my mechanic check the battery, fuses, and even use a scan tool with no issues to be found. The car would eventually start 30-45 minutes after it has cooled down. There is suspicion it is the fuel pump and there is a recall out for this same year, make, and model car but apparently, my VIN was not included in the recall so my local dealer is not able to honor it. I am concerned that this will turn into a bigger problem or worse, that it will happen when I driving down the highway. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | SUSPENSION,SEAT BELTS,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | LF diver side belt loosens up and has had a rattling noise . The braking system has happened 4 times one almost causing an accident behind me for randomly braking . And suspension has caused me two sets of tires in one year and 3 alignments | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The automatic braking system will deploy without anything in the road, especially going over one particular hill. Now the car will not start and says there’s an electronic braking system failure | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES | Rear brakes rotors and pads are wearing out quickly. Vehicle has 14,000 miles and rear brakes need to be replaced. Front brakes and rotors are wearing as normal | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I was pulling out into the road when my car stalled out of no where. Multiple errors/lights started flashing. It scrolled through many warnings saying many things weren’t working and to call the dealer. Car would not start or move. Had it towed to the dealer. They are saying it was the fuel pump and is no longer under warranty. They say they do not know when they can get one as it’s on back order. They will not call me back and my car is at the dealer and cannot be driven. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
