| Jan 2026 | SEATS | Toyota issued a recall on some 2025 Toyota Sienna’s. Our app notified us in October and we immediately took it to the dealership for a rental, as we were advised not to use the second row seats. We have to use those because we have 3 kids in car seats. The interim notice was not even mailed out until December. We were told they would start rolling out the fix for this issue in late December or January. It is now January, and there is no update on the recall and nobody can get any information from Toyota. Our car has been sitting for over three months at the dealership, undrivable. They are not offering any compensation for people affected by this recall. Since it has been out of service for that long, it should should be a lemon law qualification. We did not purchase a brand new car for it to sit there unusable. There does not seem to be any urgency on Toyota‘s part for this to be fixed. We have no updates or information and this does not seem to be a priority for them. There are 55,000 vehicles affected. This is a large number of people, and somebody needs to put some real pressure on Toyota to fix the problem. This is unacceptable and somebody needs to look into this further. Please pass this along and do something about it because this is not fair to those of us who in good faith are making our payments every month on a car that we are not able to use. It’s basically sitting there rotting while Toyota takes their sweet time to figure out how to fix it. I am extremely unhappy and am looking for some type of recourse. And I know I am not the only one as I am seeing posts about it on online daily, from unhappy customers. This recall is due to a safety issue, if it’s so unsafe, why aren’t they fixing it? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | SEATS | They stated the second row is not safe in a high speed collision because they could eject. I’ve been using a rental for 3 months with no end insight. They stated they would have a timeline by 12/6 but that has yet to happen. My car is sitting at the dealership out in the elements for the unforeseeable future. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jan 2026 | SEATS | I received a notification on my Toyota App in mid-Oct advising there was a recall due to the second-row seat being improperly welded. At that time, I was advised a repair was in work and to avoid using those seats. However, I have four children and require all the seats in my Sienna so I have been forced to continue to use the seats, despite the warning. In December, we called our dealership to inquire if the repair was ready or if they had a loaner vehicle we could use until the repair was ready since we were not supposed to be using those seats. The answer was "no repair is ready" and there was no loaner they could provide for the foreseeable future. At this point, I feel like I am driving an unsafe car, continually forced to put my toddler and infant into seats that could become disconnected at any time because in almost 4 months Toyota still can't seem to figure out a repair for seat welds. Toyota either needs to get a repair done ASAP, provide us with a loaner, or pay for my family to rent an appropriate vehicle to support our needs until such a time as a remedy has been enacted. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jan 2026 | SEATS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I am writing regarding my 2025 Toyota Sienna, purchased in June 2025, which is currently subject to Safety Recall Interim Notice 25TB12 concerning unsafe second-row seat welds that could result in serious injury or death. I appreciate the professionalism and concern shown by Sparks Toyota in acknowledging the seriousness of this recall and providing a loaner vehicle while my Sienna is deemed unsafe to drive. However, the current loaner—a Toyota Highlander—does not meet my family’s needs and is not a reasonable substitute for the vehicle I purchased. We intentionally purchased a minivan due to our family size and lifestyle requirements. My daughter is a competitive gymnast, and we frequently travel with athletic equipment and multiple passengers. The Highlander is significantly smaller than a Sienna and cannot safely or practically accommodate our needs. Additionally, I am concerned that there is currently no repair solution or estimated completion timeline for this safety issue, leaving us indefinitely without access to a comparable vehicle. At this point, I am respectfully requesting the following: 1.Placement in a replacement vehicle comparable in size and function to a minivan (such as a Toyota Sienna or similarly sized vehicle). • If Sparks Toyota does not have an appropriate vehicle available, I request authorization for a comparable vehicle through an outside rental agency at Toyota’s expense. 2.Compensation for the ongoing inconvenience caused by the safety defect, lack of a repair timeline, and the inability to use the vehicle I purchased. 3.A clear estimate or update regarding when my vehicle is expected to be repaired and returned in a condition that is safe for my family. This recall involves a serious safety risk, and I believe it is reasonable to expect transportation that meets the same capacity and purpose as the vehicle I purchased—especially while awaiting a manufacturer-level remedy. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | SEATS | My name is [XXX] , and I am filing this safety complaint regarding my 2025 Toyota Sienna, VIN [XXX] , subject to Recall 25TA12. The vehicle has been under recall for a safety issue related to second-row seat rails, and I have been informed by both the dealership and Toyota representatives that they cannot guarantee the vehicle is safe for transporting children. I continue to pay full monthly finance payments (to Toyota!!! They financed my car) for this vehicle, which I cannot safely use as intended (for transporting my four children), and the dealerships in my area do not have suitable loaner vehicles. I am filing this complaint to document the ongoing safety risk and the financial and logistical burden this situation has created. I request that this recall and its handling be reviewed, and that appropriate action be taken to protect consumers. Thank you. | Jan 2026 | SEATS | Recall 25TA12 for a 2025 Sienna Van second rows seats rail welds is not being handled in a timely manner by Toyota. I received a notice on Oct 5, 2025 about this recall and 90 days later there still isn’t a remedy by Toyota. This is unacceptable as Toyota put the owners on notice by saying not to use the second row seats as injuries may happen due to improperly welded seat rails. Toyota needs to step up and get this recall completed now. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jan 2026 | STRUCTURE | The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Sienna. The contact stated that the rear liftgate was not properly aligned with the rear door frame. The contact stated that there was a gap of approximately ¼-inch between the top of the liftgate on the passenger side and the door frame when the tailgate was closed. The gap on the driver's side of the liftgate was not as pronounced as the gap on the passenger’s side. The contact stated that the liftgate appeared unbalanced. The contact stated that the liftgate was making abnormal creaking sounds while being raised or lowered. The contact stated that the latch where the liftgate locked to secure the liftgate showed scratches. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where some minor adjustments were performed on the latch. The contact stated that the liftgate failure was not addressed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 11,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 11,000 |

| Jan 2026 | SEATS | My vehicle is subject to a safety recall issued on October 7 for improperly welded second-row seat rails. Toyota has stated that if these seats are occupied during certain high-speed collisions, they may lose structural integrity, increasing the risk of injury. Because these seats are required to safely transport my young children, the recall renders the vehicle unsafe and unusable for its intended purpose. It has now been over three months since the recall was issued, and Toyota has not provided a remedy. The dealership has no information regarding when repairs will be available, and our vehicle is currently being held at the dealership. Toyota has provided a rental vehicle; however, this does not resolve the issue. The rental is not the same vehicle we purchased, does not meet our family’s needs, and requires frequent renewals, creating an ongoing burden. We purchased this vehicle specifically to meet our transportation needs and remain unable to use it. The vehicle was only six months old at the time of the recall. We requested a replacement vehicle due to the seriousness of the safety defect and the lack of a repair timeline, but Toyota denied this request and has offered no long-term solution. I am filing this complaint due to the unreasonable delay, loss of use, and lack of a permanent remedy for a serious safety defect involving child passenger seating. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | SEATS | Manufacturer Recall Number: 25TB12 NHTSA Recall Number: 25V668 This recall was created almost three months, but we were not notified of it until receiving a letter a few weeks ago. That means we were putting our children in unsafe seats for two months! Why is the manufacturer allowed to wait so long to contact us about such a serious safety issue? Furthermore, why aren't they required to pay for us to rent comparable vehicles until they are able to fix the issue? Not being able to use the middle row of seats completely nullifies the utility of owning a minivan in the first place. What avenues are available to me for seeking recompense in this case? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jan 2026 | SEATS | I purchased this vehicle on March 8, 2025. On October 7, 2025, I was notified of Safety Recall 25TA12 involving the second-row seats. Due to this safety defect, the second row cannot be used, rendering the vehicle unsafe and impractical for its intended purpose. This vehicle was purchased specifically to transport my family of five, including three children (currently ages [XXX] , [XXX] , and [XXX] ), all of whom require car seats. It is not physically possible to safely install three car seats in the third row of this vehicle, particularly an infant seat. As a result, I cannot safely transport my children and the vehicle cannot be used as a family vehicle. As of January 5, 2026, more than 90 days have passed since I was notified of the recall, and I have been informed that there is still no available remedy or repair timeline. During this period, I continue to make monthly payments of approximately $1,000 on a vehicle that does not meet basic safety and usability expectations. No adequate resolution or interim accommodation has been provided. Owning a family vehicle with a known safety defect and failing to provide a remedy for over 90 days is not acceptable business practice. The vehicle cannot fulfill the purpose for which it was purchased, and the ongoing financial obligation without a resolution is unreasonable. I am requesting either a buyback of the vehicle, including associated costs, or a replacement vehicle of comparable value. This issue has persisted for an excessive period of time without resolution and requires immediate corrective action. | Jan 2026 | SEATS | I am writing to formally document Toyota's failure to provide a reasonable and lawful solution following the safety recall and was advised by my attorney that Toyota does not yet have a remedy available. Despite this, Toyota has offered only a $42/day reimbursement for a compact rental vehicle, which is wholly inadequate and functionally useless for my family. Toyota is effectively forcing us to choose between: Operating an unsafe vehicle with my children and unborn child Paying hundreds to thousands of dollars out of pocket for appropriate transportation This is not a reasonable or lawful position. I also want to make clear that I am currently pregnant and due in April. The uncertainty surrounding this recall, the lack of a safe and appropriate vehicle, and the absence of a clear resolution timeline have caused significant and ongoing stress for me and my family during a medically sensitive time. Reliable and safe transportation is not optional for us - it is essential for prenatal care, medical appointments, and daily needs for our children. Being told that there is no timeline for a repair, while simultaneously being offered only an inadequate compact rental vehicle, places an unreasonable burden on our family and creates unnecessary anxiety during my pregnancy. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | SEATS | My 2025 Toyota Sienna is subject to Safety Recall 25TA12 involving suspect welds on second row seat rails. Toyota instructs that the second row seats not be used while the vehicle is in motion. No repair is available and no timeline has been provided. Toyota has not provided a viable interim solution. Toyota coordinated outreach to multiple dealerships, all of which confirmed they cannot provide a comparable vehicle or accommodation. Toyota’s only option is limited rental reimbursement, which does not restore equivalent seating capacity or function. As a result, I am forced to either stop using the vehicle for its intended purpose or continue operating a vehicle Toyota has identified as unsafe to use as designed. Toyota has acknowledged the defect but has not mitigated the safety risk. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | SEATS | Toyota is completely unwilling to provide a rental vehicle unless I leave the recalled Toyota sienna on their lot for an indefinite period. They are not willing to let me perform any kind of maintenance while it is in their care and I am not allowed to keep the vehicle in my home to Provide proper storage. The dealer is not willing to provide any sort of maintenance or care as well. When escalating this to toyota corporate, they didn’t even dignify me with a response. They simply just closed the report and are refusing to provide me with any form of written denial. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | SEAT BELTS | Relatively new Toyota Sienna, bought 6 weeks ago and currently at 1300 miles. Passenger side 2nd row seat belt inexplicably became stuck and would not retract, making that seat unusable as the seat belt was no longer able to safely restrain a passenger. No accidents or unusual incidents were noted. This was completely unexpected and random following a routine short-distance errand. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | SEATS | I am submitting this complaint regarding Safety Recall 25TA12 (Interim Notice 25TB12) for my 2025 Toyota Sienna XLE Woodland Edition, VIN available upon request. Toyota has acknowledged that the second-row seat rails may have improper weld penetration, creating a risk that the seats may lose structural integrity in certain high-speed collisions, increasing the risk of injury. Toyota has issued written instructions advising that no one should sit in or use a child restraint in any second-row seat while the vehicle is in motion, and has also issued a stop sale, indicating Toyota’s determination that the vehicle should not be sold or delivered in its current condition. There is no repair remedy available, no parts, and no estimated timeline for correction. Because this vehicle is used to transport four young children in car seats, Toyota’s instructions render the vehicle unsafe and unusable for its intended purpose. I have complied with Toyota’s guidance and removed the vehicle from service. The vehicle has been out of service continuously since October 8, 2025 through today, December 30, 2025, totaling 84 calendar days and 60 business days with no repair attempt possible due to Toyota’s inability to provide a remedy. Toyota has stated that a loaner vehicle substitutes for safe seating; however, loaners do not correct the underlying defect, do not restore the vehicle’s certified safety condition, and do not eliminate the ongoing risk or loss of use of the purchased vehicle. Toyota continues to sell similarly equipped vehicles while leaving affected owners without a path to repair. I am requesting NHTSA review whether Toyota’s handling of this recall—including extended delays with no remedy, reliance on stop-use instructions, and indefinite loss of safe use—meets federal safety obligations and adequately protects consumers and child passengers. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
