| Apr 2026 | SEATS | Toyota issued a recall in fourth quarter 2025 for this batch of Toyota Siennas that have bad welds on the second row seats and as a result of these, no one should be sitting in the second row. Toyota still doesn't have a fix in place for the 50k vehicles with this problem. Publicly Toyota says a fix is on the way, but at the dealership the service department has indicated that they've heard nothing on this. I am in a loaner from Toyota for the foreseeable future and it doesn't seem like I have much recouse through lemon laws based on the way Toyota issued the recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | STRUCTURE:BODY | I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall for my 2025 Toyota Sienna involving the second-row seat welds. VIN: [XXX] NHTSA Recall ID: 25V668 Recall Date: October 7, 2025 Manufacturer/Dealer Recall Reference: 25TB12 This recall involves the structural integrity of the second-row seat welds. A failure of these welds could increase the risk of injury to occupants in the event of a crash or sudden stop. As of today, more than six months after the recall was issued, no remedy has been made available. I have not been provided with a repair, a timeline for when a fix will be available, or an adequate interim solution. On February 25, 2026, I brought my vehicle to the dealership, and it was placed out of service due to this recall. I was provided with a smaller loaner vehicle, which is not comparable to my Toyota Sienna and does not meet my transportation needs. This situation has left me without use of my vehicle for an extended period of time while also dealing with a known safety defect. I request that NHTSA review whether the delay in providing a remedy is reasonable and compliant with federal safety requirements, and whether additional action is necessary to protect vehicle occupants. All relevant vehicle details are included in this complaint. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Apr 2026 | SEATS | See attached document for complaint. My husband and I purchased a Sienna, 7-passenger van, April 2025 and have received two safety recalls, the first being the lack of second-row seats being installed correctly presenting a safety problem, and later a possible problem with the backup camera. We purchased a vehicle of that size especially for the convenience of transporting family when they visit. Also, we have a granddaughter, husband and one-year old great-grandson who live nearby and thought having a van would be helpful for trips together. Unfortunately, all our hopes were diminished at being able to enjoy the reason we purchased such an expensive vehicle, $65,000+. We are an elderly, retired couple, considered the vehicle an investment, because our two previous Toyota vehicles had lasted us for 15 years with no problems. Therefore hoping our daughter and grandchildren would be able to use the van for many years. The van has been nothing but an Albatross, not being able to drive it with only two passengers, in the front, since learning of the first recall on the second row seats. The local dealer told me if I’d get an appointment and be at their door at 7:00 a.m. they could repair the camera. BUT, dealers have no fix from Toyota for the second row seats. However, I went on line to the Toyota web site and they have a “FIX” process listed. I cannot imagine how a vehicle maker can be allowed to sell a vehicle when they find out it has such safety hazards? We consumers can beg our Legislators to pass laws to that effect, but, hope your agency will take the lead on protecting us consumers since we know this Congress will do nothing. I ask your agency to please take action on this issue and prod Toyota to do something concerning the major safety hazards with their 2025 model Sienna vans. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | AIR BAGS | The affected component appears to be the rear seat / seat track recall system. I took my Toyota vehicle to the dealership / repair center in approximately October 2025 for recall-related repair, and the vehicle was then kept there for months. During that time, I was deprived of the use of the vehicle while continuing to make lease payments. I repeatedly contacted the repair center for updates but was not provided a clear repair completion date. Toyota and the dealership later claimed that the recall had been repaired only after the stated 60-day buyback review period had expired, yet NHTSA’s VIN lookup still showed the same recall as unrepaired for my vehicle. No credible current documentation was provided showing the exact recall repair completion date or the work performed. Under these circumstances, I am not comfortable accepting return of the vehicle. My children ride in the rear seat, and because this recall involves the seat / seat track area, I cannot reasonably be expected to trust the vehicle without clear proof that the recall repair was properly completed. I have also experienced a serious accident in the past, which makes this issue even more concerning to me. At this point, I have lost confidence in Toyota’s handling of this matter. I am seeking repurchase of the vehicle and fair final resolution. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Apr 2026 | SEATS | I've had the car in the shop for 3 months plus now. Toyota has not had a remedy for the impacted 55k people. We bought a Hybrid, brand new, paid it off and has been on rental for a non hybrid. Toyota won't trade in our car, refund us anything such as gas ( hybrid vs non hybrid). So we're stuck with a rental we don't like. Basically we felt like we spent 50k on a car we did not want since it's not the Sienna we wanted. I need them to be held accountable or have options we can do something with the car. We have kids that utilized the 2nd row and this is unacceptable. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I bought a new 2025 Toyota Sienna Hybrid in Feb 2025 and shortly after, I was informed by letter by Toyota that there was a recall. We were informed NOT to use the second row. (Exactly why we bought a van!) I am STILL waiting for a remedy. Toyota has not offered a rental or any kind of assistance with us being out of a new van for OVER 1 YEAR. I am beyond discouraged and disgusted. | Apr 2026 | SEATS | The second row seat recall has effected us so much, we transport a [XXX] and [XXX] old ( [XXX]) all the time to appts and out to dinner, we are putting them in the 3rd row seats Our dealership told us there were no rentals available when we contacted them. So we have been suffering and my inlaws as well! They are finally fixing some of them, saying it by vin number. From what I can see the are fixing the ones that they are paying for a rentals on first. This is unacceptable. | Apr 2026 | SEATS | The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Sienna Hybrid. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V668000 (Seats). The two children occupying the car seats were positioned in the third-row seats due to the recall. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. | Mar 2026 | SEATS | We learned that our 2025 Toyota Sienna was recalled as of October 2025. We dropped off our Sienna at One Toyota of Oakland on 10/31/25. We have not heard anything back from them about when the seats will be repaired. We have had a Rav4 in the interim, but the ergonomics of this car are painful for one of the car's users. We purchased the Sienna because of the ergonomics when using the vehicle with our baby. The Rav4 replacement vehicle does not meet the needs for which we purchased the Sienna, yet have had to have a Rav4 since 10/31/2025. We placed a lemon law claim within Toyota internal lemon law department 60 days ago and we were denied on 3/26/26, with the department starting that a remedy will be provided. No other info was provided, nor was a date provided for the repair. It is still unclear when we will get our van back. Other than denying our lemon law claim, Toyota has been completely noncommutative. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | SEATS | RE: NHTSA Recall Number 25V668 Defective Unsafe 2025 Toyota Sienna 2nd row seat rails. I purchased a brand new 2025 TOYOTA Sienna Hybrid on May 20th, 2025 as a family vehicle to transport my grandchildren in their car safety seats. In July, Toyota discovered that the 2nd row seat rails were defective and posed a serious safety risk. Dealers were sent a DO NOT SELL notice on October 7th for the unsafe Siennas. I was not notified until December 12th that no one should occupy the 2nd row seats while the vehicle was in motion due to a serious safety risk, so my grandchildren were strapped into unsafe seats without our knowledge all that time. Since then, the vehicle has been unusable for its intended purpose due to this significant safety risk. I have been waiting for months for the vehicle to be fixed without any update of any kind from Toyota on when this will happen. I have called the Toyota Brand Engagement Center several times and they have had zero information to provide beyond that listed in the Interim Notice. This is completely Unacceptable. Toyota has continued to produce new 2025 Siennas and 2026 Siennas with corrected seat rails since July 25th 2025 without supplying any replacement seat rails to remedy the recall and end the hardship it has caused for the families affected. This needs to be addressed and Toyota needs to be compelled to put their pursuit of profit on hold and fix these vehicles NOW. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | SEATS | The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Sienna Hybrid. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V668000 (Seats); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while attempting to adjust the position of the second-row seat forward or backwards, there was a lot of resistance, requiring an excessive amount of force to move the seat. Occasionally, the contact had to physically push the seat with their feet. The dealer was contacted and informed that the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle remained with the dealer, awaiting parts for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue; however, the manufacturer failed to follow up on with the contact. The failure mileage was approximately 18,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 18,000 |

| Mar 2026 | SEATS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I am reporting an unreasonable delay in the remedy for NHTSA Recall 25V-668 (Toyota Recall 25TA12). My 2025 Toyota Sienna has been subject to Interim Notice 25TB12 for approximately 170 days. Per Toyota’s official safety instructions, I have been directed to ensure that 'no one sit in or use a child restraint in any second-row seat while the vehicle is in motion.' Despite this recall being active since October 2025, Toyota has failed to provide the necessary replacement seat rails or a firm repair date. This defect involves structural weld failures that pose a high risk of seat detachment in a collision. By rendering the primary passenger area of this minivan unusable for nearly 6 months, the manufacturer has caused a substantial loss of utility and safety. I am requesting NHTSA investigate the lack of remedy availability and Toyota’s failure to support owners who cannot safely use the vehicle for its intended multi-passenger purpose. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
