| Mar 2026 | SERVICE BRAKES,LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Warning came on the dash board saying braking power low and a lot of the lights were orange like the anti collision and 4 others | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Every time I start my vehicle I get an advertisement on the media center saying "experience drive connect". I hit the selection on the left to open Android Auto and the display flickers to Android Auto then goes back to the advertisement for drive connect. This happens 2 or 3 times before I can get rid of the advertisement. This is especially bad when I am trying to use maps to find a place, and is clearly safety issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I’ve had the vehicle two months and it has the black screen of death. Although there is a massive recall due to this my car is not on the recall list. Why is Toyota allowed to continue selling vehicles that they have known to have this issue since 2023? The car is not safe to drive at all. I didn’t spend 40k for a paper weight. Unacceptable they’ve been allowed to continue to sell vehicles with this defect for years and giving no disclosure about the issue when purchasing the vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | SUSPENSION,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I am reporting new issues with my 2025 Toyota Camry that started immediately after the dealer completed the rear-camera recall service. 1. Right-Side Wheel Housing / Suspension Problem Since the recall, the right side of the car makes a loud noise whenever I drive over small bumps or uneven roads. It may be related to the shock absorber possibly leaking fluid, but the exact cause is UNKNOWN. •The part is available for inspection. •This raises a safety concern because it affects stability and may indicate a failing suspension component. •No warning lights appeared. 2. Infotainment Screen Glitch / Electrical Issue After the recall work, the infotainment screen began glitching every time I start the vehicle, and while driving it sometimes shows a large red line across the entire screen. •The issue happens randomly but consistently. •It is distracting and may indicate an electrical or software malfunction caused during the recall repair. •No warning messages appeared before the screen failure. 3. Inspection Status The vehicle has NOT yet been inspected for these new issues by Toyota or any third party. The problems did not exist before the recall and began immediately afterward, although the exact cause is UNKNOWN. I request a full investigation and inspection for safety concerns. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | VISIBILITY | The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, a small crack developed on the front windshield. The crack continued to expand to 18 inches across the windshield. During the failure, no objects had struck the windshield to cause the crack. The contact indicated that, over time, other cracks developed on the front windshield. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the cracks, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 100. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The hybrid propulsion system in my Toyota Camry Hybrid malfunctioned. The vehicle displayed multiple warning messages, including “Hybrid System Malfunction” and other system failure alerts. The accelerator pedal stopped responding, and the vehicle lost propulsion while driving at highway speed. The vehicle would not restart after coming to a stop. The vehicle has been towed and is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle lost power while I was traveling at highway speed during severe weather conditions (tornado and thunderstorm warnings). The car began rattling and shaking, then the accelerator stopped responding, and the vehicle gradually decelerated despite pressing the gas pedal. I was forced to activate hazard lights and maneuver to the shoulder. Multiple large trucks were traveling at high speed and did not immediately move over, coming dangerously close to striking my disabled vehicle. Because of the severe weather and approaching storm conditions, I was stranded on the highway in a vulnerable position. The sudden loss of propulsion created a significant risk of a high-speed rear-end collision. The vehicle was towed after the incident. It has not yet been confirmed whether the dealer has reproduced the failure. The malfunction occurred suddenly while driving and has not been intentionally reproduced by me. The vehicle would not restart at the time of the incident. The vehicle was towed following the incident. It has not yet been inspected by police or insurance representatives. Inspection by a Toyota dealer/manufacturer representative is pending (or currently in progress, if applicable). Approx. 15 minutes before reaching my destination, the vehicle began rattling and shaking unexpectedly while driving at highway speed. Shortly after, the rattling stopped, but the accelerator pedal stopped responding and the vehicle began decelerating. Multiple warning messages then appeared, including “Hybrid System Malfunction” and other system failure. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The electrical charging system is failing to properly charge the 12V battery. This is a hybrid vehicle and the hybrid battery is not effected. The dealer has had to replace the battery once as defective but the problem persists. The battery is not being charged and I am getting battery warning lights and a dead battery. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | SEATS | Defective driver seat. The lumbar support on the drivers seat is loose and pushed forward when driving, it presses against the lower back when you brake while driving. This issue is very prominent when driving for over 20 mins and makes it uncomfortable to use the car. Toyota has replicated the issue but have failed to over a repair | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I was driving on 2/11/2026 at roughly 45 mph and all of sudden my car lost power. The whole engine shut down while the vehicle was still moving. Then it came back up and reset my whole dashboard settings. This is the second time that display has reset itself. I am taking my vehicle back to the dealer for inspection. This is not safe. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | VISIBILITY | The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the front windshield fractured. The contact stated that the windshield was fractured at the rear-view mirror area. The contact stated that there was no impact on the front windshield. In addition, the contact stated that the failure occurred while the vehicle was occupied. The dealer was contacted and made aware of the failure. The contact stated that the failure was a known issue with a similar vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 78,001. | Crash: No Fire: No | 78,001 |
| Feb 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,SERVICE BRAKES | I parked the car to load something into the trunk. I admit I did not verify that the car was in Park, and I missed fully moving the selector all the way forward and it clicked into reverse. I turned off the car and stepped out, the car started to roll away going forwards. I was able to chase the car, hop in and stop it. No injuries or damage occurred. Cars with electronic parking brakes should apply the parking break if a door is opened, the seatbelt is unbuckled and the brake pedal is released. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | STRUCTURE | Front bumper is detaching on driver and passenger side. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | POWER TRAIN | UNKNOWN. Car manufactured in 7/25 but should be part of recall 25V869. Loud knock reported in 2025 and subsequent decrease in acceleration and gas mileage. Taken to dealership multiple times in 2025 to diagnose issue but no resolution. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,AIR BAGS | While driving, the vehicle experienced an unintended side airbag deployment without any collision or impact. At the same time, the seatbelt locked, the vehicle came to a sudden stop, and a hybrid system malfunction warning appeared. The vehicle immediately became undrivable and was towed. The vehicle remains available for inspection and is currently under the manufacturer’s control. This sudden failure created a serious safety risk due to the unexpected airbag deployment and loss of vehicle control while driving. As a result of the incident, I sustained physical injuries and sought medical attention. The vehicle has been inspected by the manufacturer. The manufacturer has stated they are unable to confirm whether the vehicle is safe to operate and the investigation remains ongoing. No warning lights or messages appeared prior to the failure. The event occurred suddenly and without warning. Law enforcement responded to assist with traffic safety and relocation of the disabled vehicle; no formal accident or crash report was generated. | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 1 Medical attention | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | My 2025 Toyota Camry XSE (Hybrid) is subject to an open safety recall issued December 16, 2025. The recall involves a serious safety risk, and I was advised by the dealership not to drive the vehicle. At the time of the recall, the vehicle was approximately two months old with about 1,500 miles and in like-new condition. Because there is currently no available remedy, I was required to leave the vehicle stored at the dealership. I have been without use of my own vehicle since January 6, 2026 and am using a loaner vehicle solely due to the safety recall, not by choice. Toyota has stated a fix may not be available until at least Q1 2026, with no defined repair timeline, and customers are being told to wait without interim mitigation. I am concerned about the inability to safely operate my vehicle and the long-term impact of extended storage on a nearly new hybrid vehicle, including hybrid battery health, fuel and fluid systems, seals, tires, and interior and exterior materials. Prior to the recall, the vehicle was routinely garaged and properly maintained, and extended outdoor storage due to the recall introduces risk of premature wear unrelated to normal ownership use. While the dealership has indicated the vehicle may be started periodically, this does not replace normal driving and ownership use. In addition to loss of use, I am required to maintain a $300 monthly loaner vehicle deposit while my vehicle remains unusable due to the recall. Toyota Customer Service has stated they cannot escalate or provide assistance and are instructed to close cases without resolution, creating ongoing financial burden through no fault of my own. Toyota has acknowledged similar recalls on other models lasting extended periods, yet no interim remedy, mitigation plan, or customer relief is offered here. I believe this raises concerns regarding recall remedy timeliness, consumer safety, and loss of use. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | POWER TRAIN | There is a squeaking noise that comes from the front DRIVE SHAFT TRANSAXLE SEAL of my 2025 Toyota Camry XSE when turning the vehicle at slow speeds without applying the brakes. The vehicle was inspected by the Toyota Dealership I purchased it from and they replicated and confirmed this defect on 1-03-2026. A defective or malfunctioning axle seal can wear out over time, which can cause it to leak. If there is significant fluid loss it could lead to failure of the transmission while driving which could lead to an accident. There were no warning messages, only the symptom of the squeaking noise. The dealership states there is currently no fix to this issue and had no solution for me at this time. They stated that this issue is currently under investigation by Toyota engineers. The squeaking appears to be getting louder and more frequent. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | TIRES | Dear Bridgestone Customer Care Team, I am contacting you regarding factory-installed Bridgestone Turanza tires, size 235/45R18, on a 2025 Toyota Camry. Despite normal use and routine maintenance, the tires have experienced extreme premature tread wear: At 20,000 miles: three tires 4/32”, one tire 3/32” At 25,000 miles: three tires 3/32”, one tire 2/32” (unsafe) Bridgestone Turanza tires are advertised as long-life touring tires (50,000–65,000 miles expected). Reaching unsafe tread depth at only 25,000 miles is far below expectations. I am requesting a prorated replacement or reimbursement based on remaining tread life. Please advise if you require additional documentation or inspection. Thank you for your attention. I look forward to your prompt response. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | WHEELS | The OEM Bridgestone Turanza tires installed on my new 2025 Toyota Camry SE Hybrid exhibited dangerously premature tread wear. At 20,000 miles, three tires measured 4/32" and one measured 3/32". At 25,000 miles, three tires measured 3/32" and one measured 2/32", which is the legal minimum and a safety concern. The vehicle currently has 26,000 miles. Both Toyota and Bridgestone have refused warranty coverage. This creates an unreasonable safety risk for normal vehicle use. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | STRUCTURE,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY/WIPER | I am reporting a recurring safety defect involving the front bumper assembly on my brand-new Toyota Camry Hybrid. The front bumper repeatedly detaches, separates, and pulls away from the vehicle during normal driving conditions. This has occurred multiple times despite repeated repair attempts by the authorized Toyota dealership. Toyota and the dealership have acknowledged that this is a known issue affecting other vehicles and have admitted that there is currently no permanent repair remedy available. Despite this, the defect has been misclassified as “cosmetic,” which is inaccurate and unsafe. The bumper is a critical safety component designed to absorb and distribute crash forces. A bumper that is already detached or partially unsecured compromises crash force pathways and reduces occupant protection in the event of a collision. If an accident occurs, the bumper cannot perform its intended safety function, increasing the risk of injury. Additionally, I can hear air intrusion entering the vehicle through the front area where the bumper is separating, confirming that the vehicle’s exterior seal and structural integrity are compromised while driving. This vehicle has never been in an accident and is operated under normal conditions. A front bumper should not detach on a new vehicle. This is not a cosmetic concern it is a safety defect that places occupants at risk. I am requesting that NHTSA review this issue as a potential pattern defect and require Toyota to address it as a safety matter rather than mislabeling it to avoid corrective action. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | Left Headlight Issue - Roadway Shadows This report is based on multiple observations of the car's owner while driving a Toyota Camry hybrid 2025 at night time . At issue is that the left side LED headlight projects fixed black shadows onto to roadway, partially obscuring the driver's view of the roadway while driving. On 2 dealer visits, the dealer found the left headlight misaligned, and reported making adjustments to the left headlight. Despite these adjustments, the car owner continues to observe persistent roadway shadows from the left headlight while driving at night - based on car owner photographs of these projected black shadows, most recent photos on December 5-16, 2025 ( see attached). On a 3rd visit to the dealer in December 2025, the dealer was provided with the owners photographs. Yet, the dealer restated its position that the Toyota Camry hybrid's left LED headlight is normal, even though this left headlight has required 2 adjustments and roadway shadows persist. Unknown whether or not the headlight has/had a defect issue. In fact, the car owner's multiple photographs document and show fixed black shadows projected on the left roadway in front of the car, emanating from the Toyota Camry's left LED headlight. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES | Iwas coming to a stop sign in a supermarket parking lot there was astreet you could either go left or right the car kept rolling across as i put my foot on the brake repeatedly as it did not stop it went up acurb hit a heavy wood fence and stopped before going down a steep embankment the cabin remained fine the back wheels remained in the street the car was totaled also the car would pull to the left once in awhile no auditory sounds went off at any time thus no safety features prevailed | Crash: Yes Fire: No Towed | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | STRUCTURE,WHEELS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Loud squeak/squealing sound from inside area of the left front driver side wheel after driving for an extended amount of time (after 4 hours of driving on first observation). The squeaking is intermittent and not always able to reproduce the sound. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Several times when I have honked my horn on my 2025 Camry SE cruise control has engaged. That is a dangerous situation if I'm trying to avoid a slow vehicle or accident and the vehicle goes into cruise control mode. Not sure what Toyota can do about this as the cruise control buttons are on the right side of the steering wheel behind the horn. Maybe it is overlapping or too close. There are auto braking cruise control options with the Camry but there is also a disengage non control mode that could lead to that accident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | STRUCTURE,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | While driving the vehicle in high winds, wind and air can be heard entering the cabin near the front of the drivers side door. Multiple heavy gusts of wind caused the car to move into the other lane and had a negative effect on steering the vehicle. Toyota denies there is something wrong with the door seals or design of the vehicle, but this is a safety hazard when driving in high sustained winds of 15MPH or more. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | This reports night-time driving experiences, during which the front left LED headlight projects/creates fixed black “shadow” images onto the roadway in front of the car, partially obscuring the driver’s far left field of view of the roadway. Despite adjustments of the front left headlight by dealer technicians, the left headlight “shadows”, while lessened, are still projected onto the roadway and represent a night time driving safety concern. Dealer technicians made adjustments to the left headlight projection on 2 occasions. (1 the technician reported that there seems to be “bubbles” in the left side headlight projection. Technician adjusted the left headlight’s aim to proper height. Technician reports that “shadow” on roadway is a normal characteristic of LED projector inside headlamp. (2 the technician reported that the left driver side headlight is slightly high and needed to be properly aligned. Technician reports that “shadow” marking on roadway is considered normal. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
