| Jan 2026 | POWER TRAIN | UNKNOWN. Car manufactured in 7/25 but should be part of recall 25V869. Loud knock reported in 2025 and subsequent decrease in acceleration and gas mileage. Taken to dealership multiple times in 2025 to diagnose issue but no resolution. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,AIR BAGS | While driving, the vehicle experienced an unintended side airbag deployment without any collision or impact. At the same time, the seatbelt locked, the vehicle came to a sudden stop, and a hybrid system malfunction warning appeared. The vehicle immediately became undrivable and was towed. The vehicle remains available for inspection and is currently under the manufacturer’s control. This sudden failure created a serious safety risk due to the unexpected airbag deployment and loss of vehicle control while driving. As a result of the incident, I sustained physical injuries and sought medical attention. The vehicle has been inspected by the manufacturer. The manufacturer has stated they are unable to confirm whether the vehicle is safe to operate and the investigation remains ongoing. No warning lights or messages appeared prior to the failure. The event occurred suddenly and without warning. Law enforcement responded to assist with traffic safety and relocation of the disabled vehicle; no formal accident or crash report was generated. | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 1 Medical attention | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | My 2025 Toyota Camry XSE (Hybrid) is subject to an open safety recall issued December 16, 2025. The recall involves a serious safety risk, and I was advised by the dealership not to drive the vehicle. At the time of the recall, the vehicle was approximately two months old with about 1,500 miles and in like-new condition. Because there is currently no available remedy, I was required to leave the vehicle stored at the dealership. I have been without use of my own vehicle since January 6, 2026 and am using a loaner vehicle solely due to the safety recall, not by choice. Toyota has stated a fix may not be available until at least Q1 2026, with no defined repair timeline, and customers are being told to wait without interim mitigation. I am concerned about the inability to safely operate my vehicle and the long-term impact of extended storage on a nearly new hybrid vehicle, including hybrid battery health, fuel and fluid systems, seals, tires, and interior and exterior materials. Prior to the recall, the vehicle was routinely garaged and properly maintained, and extended outdoor storage due to the recall introduces risk of premature wear unrelated to normal ownership use. While the dealership has indicated the vehicle may be started periodically, this does not replace normal driving and ownership use. In addition to loss of use, I am required to maintain a $300 monthly loaner vehicle deposit while my vehicle remains unusable due to the recall. Toyota Customer Service has stated they cannot escalate or provide assistance and are instructed to close cases without resolution, creating ongoing financial burden through no fault of my own. Toyota has acknowledged similar recalls on other models lasting extended periods, yet no interim remedy, mitigation plan, or customer relief is offered here. I believe this raises concerns regarding recall remedy timeliness, consumer safety, and loss of use. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | POWER TRAIN | There is a squeaking noise that comes from the front DRIVE SHAFT TRANSAXLE SEAL of my 2025 Toyota Camry XSE when turning the vehicle at slow speeds without applying the brakes. The vehicle was inspected by the Toyota Dealership I purchased it from and they replicated and confirmed this defect on 1-03-2026. A defective or malfunctioning axle seal can wear out over time, which can cause it to leak. If there is significant fluid loss it could lead to failure of the transmission while driving which could lead to an accident. There were no warning messages, only the symptom of the squeaking noise. The dealership states there is currently no fix to this issue and had no solution for me at this time. They stated that this issue is currently under investigation by Toyota engineers. The squeaking appears to be getting louder and more frequent. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | TIRES | Dear Bridgestone Customer Care Team, I am contacting you regarding factory-installed Bridgestone Turanza tires, size 235/45R18, on a 2025 Toyota Camry. Despite normal use and routine maintenance, the tires have experienced extreme premature tread wear: At 20,000 miles: three tires 4/32”, one tire 3/32” At 25,000 miles: three tires 3/32”, one tire 2/32” (unsafe) Bridgestone Turanza tires are advertised as long-life touring tires (50,000–65,000 miles expected). Reaching unsafe tread depth at only 25,000 miles is far below expectations. I am requesting a prorated replacement or reimbursement based on remaining tread life. Please advise if you require additional documentation or inspection. Thank you for your attention. I look forward to your prompt response. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | WHEELS | The OEM Bridgestone Turanza tires installed on my new 2025 Toyota Camry SE Hybrid exhibited dangerously premature tread wear. At 20,000 miles, three tires measured 4/32" and one measured 3/32". At 25,000 miles, three tires measured 3/32" and one measured 2/32", which is the legal minimum and a safety concern. The vehicle currently has 26,000 miles. Both Toyota and Bridgestone have refused warranty coverage. This creates an unreasonable safety risk for normal vehicle use. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | STRUCTURE,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY/WIPER | I am reporting a recurring safety defect involving the front bumper assembly on my brand-new Toyota Camry Hybrid. The front bumper repeatedly detaches, separates, and pulls away from the vehicle during normal driving conditions. This has occurred multiple times despite repeated repair attempts by the authorized Toyota dealership. Toyota and the dealership have acknowledged that this is a known issue affecting other vehicles and have admitted that there is currently no permanent repair remedy available. Despite this, the defect has been misclassified as “cosmetic,” which is inaccurate and unsafe. The bumper is a critical safety component designed to absorb and distribute crash forces. A bumper that is already detached or partially unsecured compromises crash force pathways and reduces occupant protection in the event of a collision. If an accident occurs, the bumper cannot perform its intended safety function, increasing the risk of injury. Additionally, I can hear air intrusion entering the vehicle through the front area where the bumper is separating, confirming that the vehicle’s exterior seal and structural integrity are compromised while driving. This vehicle has never been in an accident and is operated under normal conditions. A front bumper should not detach on a new vehicle. This is not a cosmetic concern it is a safety defect that places occupants at risk. I am requesting that NHTSA review this issue as a potential pattern defect and require Toyota to address it as a safety matter rather than mislabeling it to avoid corrective action. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | Left Headlight Issue - Roadway Shadows This report is based on multiple observations of the car's owner while driving a Toyota Camry hybrid 2025 at night time . At issue is that the left side LED headlight projects fixed black shadows onto to roadway, partially obscuring the driver's view of the roadway while driving. On 2 dealer visits, the dealer found the left headlight misaligned, and reported making adjustments to the left headlight. Despite these adjustments, the car owner continues to observe persistent roadway shadows from the left headlight while driving at night - based on car owner photographs of these projected black shadows, most recent photos on December 5-16, 2025 ( see attached). On a 3rd visit to the dealer in December 2025, the dealer was provided with the owners photographs. Yet, the dealer restated its position that the Toyota Camry hybrid's left LED headlight is normal, even though this left headlight has required 2 adjustments and roadway shadows persist. Unknown whether or not the headlight has/had a defect issue. In fact, the car owner's multiple photographs document and show fixed black shadows projected on the left roadway in front of the car, emanating from the Toyota Camry's left LED headlight. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES | Iwas coming to a stop sign in a supermarket parking lot there was astreet you could either go left or right the car kept rolling across as i put my foot on the brake repeatedly as it did not stop it went up acurb hit a heavy wood fence and stopped before going down a steep embankment the cabin remained fine the back wheels remained in the street the car was totaled also the car would pull to the left once in awhile no auditory sounds went off at any time thus no safety features prevailed | Crash: Yes Fire: No Towed | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | WHEELS | Loud squeak/squealing sound from inside area of the left front driver side wheel after driving for an extended amount of time (after 4 hours of driving on first observation). The squeaking is intermittent and not always able to reproduce the sound. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Several times when I have honked my horn on my 2025 Camry SE cruise control has engaged. That is a dangerous situation if I'm trying to avoid a slow vehicle or accident and the vehicle goes into cruise control mode. Not sure what Toyota can do about this as the cruise control buttons are on the right side of the steering wheel behind the horn. Maybe it is overlapping or too close. There are auto braking cruise control options with the Camry but there is also a disengage non control mode that could lead to that accident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | While driving the vehicle in high winds, wind and air can be heard entering the cabin near the front of the drivers side door. Multiple heavy gusts of wind caused the car to move into the other lane and had a negative effect on steering the vehicle. Toyota denies there is something wrong with the door seals or design of the vehicle, but this is a safety hazard when driving in high sustained winds of 15MPH or more. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | This reports night-time driving experiences, during which the front left LED headlight projects/creates fixed black “shadow” images onto the roadway in front of the car, partially obscuring the driver’s far left field of view of the roadway. Despite adjustments of the front left headlight by dealer technicians, the left headlight “shadows”, while lessened, are still projected onto the roadway and represent a night time driving safety concern. Dealer technicians made adjustments to the left headlight projection on 2 occasions. (1 the technician reported that there seems to be “bubbles” in the left side headlight projection. Technician adjusted the left headlight’s aim to proper height. Technician reports that “shadow” on roadway is a normal characteristic of LED projector inside headlamp. (2 the technician reported that the left driver side headlight is slightly high and needed to be properly aligned. Technician reports that “shadow” marking on roadway is considered normal. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | 12 volt battery only charges to 50% of capacity. Dealer says it is normal. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | SEATS | The driver and passenger seats has popping on the back side near the lumbar support. This happens during braking and acceleration. Its a safety concern because it distracts when driving and gives an uncomfortable feeling. Brought to dealership twice and no help into fixing the problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | STRUCTURE | The front bumper of the vehicle is falling off, it seems to be too heavy for the vehicle. I went to the dealership and was informed this is a common reported issue with the 2025 Toyota Camry but as there is no open recall the warranty is unable to provide any assistance. This is a safety hazard and the bumper could fall off during anytime and cause a serious hazard and or accident can occur. I informed the dealership that due to the falling bumper the bottom has scrapped and caused damage and they continued stating there was nothing they could do. lm left with an issue that is dangerous for me and my family. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | POWER TRAIN | squeaking noise from left front side drive shaft at speeds of 1-5mph , known issue from forums online | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | While driving between 0-10 mph, a high pitch squeak can be heard coming from the front drivers side of the vehicle - I have it recorded on video | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Camry. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V595000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. | Nov 2025 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | Wiper blades motor is way too slow. This is on high and dangerously to slow to operate my vehicle in semi heavy rainfall. All my other vehicles are way faster. The 2025 hybrid is the unsafest to drive in rain. Online many have stated same issues. One owner mentioned coming here to report it. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES | The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while pulling into the garage, the brake pedal was applied but failed to respond. The vehicle jerked forward with unattended acceleration and crashed into the wall. The wall of the garage was damaged due to the impact. There were no warning lights illuminated. There were no reported injuries. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, but they were unable to determine the failure. The manufacturer was contacted, and a case was filed. The manufacturer will be sending a special inspector to inspect the vehicle and check the EDR box. The failure mileage was approximately 7,100. | Crash: Yes Fire: No | 7,100 |
| Nov 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | While parking my car in a parking spot at work I backed up a few feet to straighten the car out, when I shifted back into drive and transitioned from brake to accelerator pedal the car suddenly accelerated at a high rate of speed and hit the building totaling the car. I did not push the pedal down to make it accelerate that fast. I received a concussion and a broken sternum. If this had happened in traffic or in an area where people were present it could have been much worse. Toyota had the on board computer analyzed, and they say that there is no fault of the car. State farm is in the process of picking the car up due to the total loss. There were no warning lights or messages prior to the incident. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Towed Medical attention | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | TIRES | The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Camry equipped with Bridgestone Tires, Tire Line: Turanza, Tire Size: 235/45/R18, DOT Number: (N/A). The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the front passenger’s side tire experienced a loss in air pressure. In addition, the contact stated that over time, the front driver’s side tire experienced a loss in air pressure. The TPMS warning light was illuminated. The local dealer was contacted; however, no assistance was provided because the warranty was invalid. The vehicle was taken to a local independent Tire shop, where the front driver’s side and passenger’s side tires were patched. The vehicle was repaired at the consumer's expense. The contact stated that the rear passenger’s side tire had experienced a loss in air pressure. The tires were the original tires. The vehicle manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The Tire manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The front driver side and front passenger side tire failure mileage was approximately 6,000. | Nov 2025 | STRUCTURE,VISIBILITY/WIPER | 1. The driver side door has a rattling sound when driving. It sounds like the door is not shutting all the way. Air/noise comes through. The noise is annoying when driving and I am concern that the door will open. This does not make me feel safe. 2. Windshield is fragile. Within a month of purchasing my Camry, my windshield cracked (passenger side). A couple months later I see another crack on the drivers side. I am afraid that it will shatter soon enough and cause me not to be able to drive safely on the road. 3. Paint is already chipping on the hood of my 2025 Camry. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
