| Jan 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The above vehicle was rented to my wife from Avis location at Bradley Airport in Connecticut from January 4th,we had it until January 12th before learning about the recall. Avis swapped the vehicle for use when learend about it, but have not refunded us for the days of diving with a recalled vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | It’s been an ongoing and progressively worsening condition since about week two after my purchase. Was not experiencing any of these things upon purchase or I would not have purchased a consistently and worsening progressively alignment issue castor is out and there is no adjustments provided by the manufacturer, therefore it can’t be fixed . Second issue is the transmission which has had continued issues progressively worsening. It doesn’t shift right at rattles it vibrates it shutters on the highway. It likes to make me put it in Park before putting it back in your to proceed further not even from limp mode just out of the blue that has a weird thump around 70 miles an hour at a steady speed has a highway shutter for about 20 seconds that feels like you’re going over the Rumpel sticks, but you could be in the middle lane and there are no rumble sticks and it’s not lane assist. It has a groan to it. That is worsening. It winds in reverse it howls upon startup. I’ve had multiple claims with the manufacturer closed without resolve. I take it to multiple dealers, and they all say the same thing can’t duplicate operating ass design, which clearly it is not because if it was operating like this when I bought it, I wouldn’t have bought it again. I’ll repeat it. Third-party ASE tax have confirmed the issue with the alignment that the castor is out and it is not repairable and furthermore when I call the manufacturer there’s no direct number. There is no number for the Customer Care to push me forward too. There’s no email there’s no address. There’s no nothing provided. Communication is halted. It’s not allowed. I have asked I’ve requested and it isn’t providedfor a vehicle that is not operating as designed or normal operation.it is unrepairable, and unresolved. TSB‘s have been provided and refused. Taking to dealership at this point results in a car wash, which is not what I request. Too many documents to upload. 14 dealership visits multiple others to outside ase techs | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Twice in two weeks stopped at an intersection vehicle went into sleep mode and when the light turned green, the vehicle restarted but when I stepped on the gas the engine raced but went no where. With traffic behind me I shifted the transmission to neutral. When the tachometer dropped to a normal level I shifted the transmission to drive and off we went. Since then have sent it back to the dealer to find the root cause of the problem. During this time I was provided with a loaner that just happens to be the same year make and model. Upon leaving work yesterday with it, the exact same loss of power upon leaving an intersection occurred. And again the only way to get the vehicle to move, required shifting the transmission to neutral then back to drive. There is a definite problem here that needs to be looked into by CJDR. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I was driving at an estimated speed of 55mph when I heard what sounded like a gunshot or tire popping inside the vehicle. Next I felt glass hitting my face, head, neck, and hands. I looked up and my sunroof had exploded. This could have been a very bad situation because when the loud boom and immediate feeling of getting hit with glass happened, naturally I tensed up, I swerved into the left lane as a result of my body reacting to the falling debris coming from right side. Thankfully no other cars were around. I only suffered minor injuries due to glass shards in my hand. | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 1 | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | ENGINE | My 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee PHEV is subject to Safety Recall 78C/NHTSA 25V-766 for ENGINE FIRES caused by sand contamination in the 2.0L engine that can cause "catastrophic engine failure" and "vehicle fire. On January 9, 2026, I took my vehicle to Stewart Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in Colma, CA. While other recalls were serviced, I was informed that Recall 78C could not be completed because remedy parts are unavailable. Following the dealership’s advice, I contacted Jeep Customer Care (1-800-334-9200). I was told the vehicle is safe to drive despite no expected resolution date for the repair. Furthermore, my request for a rental vehicle was denied unless I paid out of pocket. My car leasing company, Stellantis’ own notice states this defect creates an "increased risk of occupant injury" due to fires. It is unacceptable to be forced to choose between driving a known fire hazard with my infant child or having no transportation. I have attempted to escalate this with Jeep Customer Care but have not received a return call from management. I request that the NHTSA compel Jeep to provide a safe loaner vehicle or initiate a vehicle buyback immediately due to this imminent safety hazard. I am being forced to either: Drive a vehicle Jeep admits may catch fire or have no transportation for my family. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Took vehicle possession Mar 24, 2025. Battery total drain after being in airport parking lot for 10 days in August. Dealer (MeGee Motors Georgetown DE) replaced accessory battery after failing bench test. Battery total drain in Dec after being in airport parking lot for 2 weeks over holiday. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | ENGINE | Vehicle engine shutoff while driving which led to no acceleration. No warning lamps prior to failure. It just completely shutoff and on the message center it stated how to start the vehicle as if it was not already started and running. I was in electric mode. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I purchased a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo earlier this year. The salesman told me that the fuel cover locks when the doors are locked, but the cover does not lock. I sent an email to Stallantis, the corporation to Jeep and inquired about this. They replied that all 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokees should have lock gas covers. (See uploaded file) I also tried to purchase a lock cap for my car, but I couldn't find one AND I LOOKED ALL OVER. A vehicle that does not have a locking mechanism to the gas tank leaves it vulnerable to vandalism. Substances can be inserted into the gas tank that could cause permanent damage to the engine. And since Stellantis indicated that all the these vehicles should have a locking gas mechanism, IT IS CLEARLY A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. I am requesting that you instruct Jeep to have a recall on all of the vehicles that do not have locking gas cap mechanisms and have them installed. The "date this incident occurred" is the date of the vehicle purchase, February 11, 2025. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I recently had recall work done. I picked the vehicle up on December 23, 2025, and the vehicle is not charging properly or driving well. When plugged into the level 2 charger it took 10 plus hours to charge when it used to take 2.5 hours to charge. The vehicle is also not driving well now. As soon as you take your foot off the gas it’s almost like a major brake is being applied. It’s not safe to drive this way. I have contacted the dealer and will take it back on Monday, December 29, 2025. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | SEATS | Had the kids loaded up ready to leave the house. Opened up the drivers door and my youngest pressed her feet on the drivers seat while in her car seat and the back of the seat was lifting up. I then investigated it further only to realize it was missing bolts. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE | The contact owns a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The contact was informed that an over-the-air software reset was performed. In addition, the contact stated that the unknown over-the-air software reset caused issues with the vehicle. The contact was informed that the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. In addition, the contact stated that the failure reoccurred three additional times. The contact stated that the unknown over-the-air software reset was performed in September 2025. The contact later received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System) and 25V766000 (Engine); however, the parts were not yet available. The dealer was contacted, and the contact was informed that the parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was contacted, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 6,500. | Crash: No Fire: No | 6,500 |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | This recalled vehicle cannot be driven safely. No remedy is available. I am paying for a lease. I cannot use and requesting federal assistance for a lease termination or replacement.. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | POWER TRAIN,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | The car has a strange thump when driving around 70-75. This is always and the dealer says it’s normal, which is not true! This weird thump is now happening at lower speeds and also a weird shuddering at speeds around 25-40. Shudders are more random Also starting at about 8-10,000 miles randomly while driving highway speeds 70-75 the vehicle shudders /vibrates for about 20 seconds and then stops. I do not use lane assist so it’s not that. It feels like when you run over the rumble sticks on the highway but amplified x20. Also since almost purchase I have had several alignments because the car continuously pulls to the left. In Florida the roads crown to the right for rain water run off. If anything the car should pull to the right but it pulls to the left consistently even right after an alignment. Other complaints I’ve made are how unstable and wobbly it drives and this has gotten significantly worse to the point that the ability to maintain control of it on the highway is not pleasant and feels very unsafe Any cat that randomly shudders at highway speeds is not safe And needs to be fixed. However,14 service trips and several manufacturer complaints and still nothing… they promise things and give it a car wash instead. They are not saying much about their own product to tell me it’s running as designed. I’m tired of hearing I can’t duplicate it. Absurd excuse. At this point it’s been very scary at times… so I’m selective with where I use my vehicle. So I’ve been renting when I need to go on the highway. This is costly but at least safer for myself and others. I wish they would just fix the car | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Vehicle: 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Anniversary Edition Lease Start: April 2025 Mileage: ~5,000 mi This vehicle has now been subject to two major battery-related safety recalls within the first year of lease: A “Stop Propulsion” recall that rendered the vehicle inoperable until a module replacement was performed. The current Recall 68C (battery fire risk) covering 2021-2026 Wrangler and Grand Cherokee 4xe vehicles. According to Jeep and NHTSA, owners are advised to park outdoors and away from structures or other vehicles because the high-voltage battery could catch fire even when parked and turned off. There is no available remedy or timeline for a fix. This has created an ongoing safety risk to me and my family, along with substantial loss of use and financial burden under my lease. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate the scope and timeliness of Jeep/Stellantis’s corrective action and determine whether interim guidance or consumer relief is warranted for vehicles that cannot be safely used or stored. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I leased this new vehicle in July 2025. had it for a month and it wouldn't start. Premier Jeep in Hyannis, MA 02601 said it was the start/stop battery and replaced it. a month later the car experienced an system failure and the car put the parking brake on and put the car in park and shut it off WHILE I WAS IN TRAFFIC! this time the dealer service said it was the lift gate mechanism and the on/off/start button. these have been replaced. each incident resulted in the vehicle spending a week in the shop. I asked for a loaner but none available both times. now the car is back in the repair shop because when I get in to start it it turns itself off right away. no loaner car was offered. I have no car now AGAIN! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ENGINE | I was driving down the rode going 30 miles per hour and my vehicle turned off. I lost all power. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | The contact owns a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving 68-69 MPH, the vehicle unexpectedly decelerated to 11 MPH and went into LIMP Mode, shifted to park, and then shut off unintendedly. The vehicle coasted off the highway safely. The gear shifter was not in park, and the message "Auto Park not Engaged" was displayed. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was previously towed to the local dealer, where it was determined that the START/STOP button needed to be replaced. The DTCs retrieved were: B1A70-09, B1A70-2A, and B1A7D01. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 5,781. | Crash: No Fire: No Towed | 5,781 |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | The current recall with loss of propulsion occurred in my vehicle on 10/16/2025 at 5:10pm while I was on the highway during rush hour. Thankfully I didn’t get injured, this is so dangerous. I’m afraid to drive this vehicle in fear of it occurring again. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES | Driving on freeway and Service 4WD light came on. Upon reaching destination, parking brake automatically engaged for unknown reason. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | POWER TRAIN | The contact owns a 2025 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that occasionally while driving at slow speeds, the transmission slipped into park(P), causing the vehicle to jerk to an unintended stop. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed, and the contact was advised that the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 3,000 |
| Sep 2025 | POWER TRAIN,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | My 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe began with an intense burning smell followed by the “Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle” warning light illuminating. After this, the vehicle experienced numerous electrical issues with the infotainment system, and the air conditioning failed. At one point, both the service and battery lights came on and the car lost all power, would not shift from park, and could not move. The service light continued to illuminate a total of eight times. During the seventh and eighth occurrences, the vehicle became unsafe: once while stopped, the electric and motor systems appeared to fight for power, and the next time while traveling around 55 mph, the car suddenly lost power and rapidly decelerated, creating a serious risk of a rear-end collision. This problem has been reproduced by the dealership, who attempted to replace the Module Control Module without success. Dealership and myself contacted the manufacturer and were told there is currently no fix and to “hang tight” until one is available. Due to the severity and ongoing nature of the issue, I have also filed a claim with NCDS USA for further support. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | POWER TRAIN | When driving the vehicle, it appears to shift roughly and at times, it seems that there is no power to the vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | LANE DEPARTURE | Blind spot alert light came on and has stayed on. Took on 7/8/2025 to Jeep dealership… they still have as of 8/28/25 and can’t figure how to fix it. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | While driving vehicle goes into limp mode I lose acceleration but RPMs on dashboard jump into the red zone and various warning lights show up I coast off to the side and put vehicle in park and shut off engine. When I restart everything clears and vehicle is normal again. This happened 3 times so far and dealer had the car 12 days and cannot duplicate the problem saying no codes show up show up on the scanner. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | LANE DEPARTURE,BACK OVER PREVENTION,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | *The AEB light comes on saying Limited Functionality Service required. We have Taken it to the dealer and they service department said no codes for that problem showed up and said if it did it again pull into any dealership and have them check it. It happens constantly so it happened right when in front of one of their dealership so we pulled in and they checked again and it did come up showing an electrical issue. They saw our pictures I was continuing to take of the dash showing how often it comes up. So I did just that and had a photo book, the size of a wedding album showing how it went off sometimes every two hours. *Then the lane depart doesn't work, it will not vibrate, which we have all the settings on and set to the highest setting. *The warning for cross traffic when in reverse doesn't always work sometimes it won't even go off when someone walks close to the back of vehicle. * On just a few occasion the rear door will not close when button is pushed, we have to physically close it. *Sometimes it will continually slam on the breaks when we try to back out of our garage, taken several times of me putting in park and trying again. *Also sometimes when backing out it won't drive when I put in drive, I have to put in park, then move it to drive. *It is currently in the dealership, they have had it for 4 days and cannot figure it out but acknowledge it is happening. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
