| Dec 2025 | ENGINE | I periodically have throttle lag issues when starting to roll and take off from a stop - a lot of times this is in the middle of an intersection or pulling out into traffic lanes. The throttle almost doesn't respond or drops and then a few moments later takes off trying to make up for the throttle lag. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The truck has a hesitation or lag at stop signs every day, every stop sign it's like the transmission doesn't know what to do and doesn't shift into 1st unless you come to a complete stop for several seconds. Hit the throttle and nothing is happening. Even more scary thing that has happened about 8x so far is when you are stopped at an intersection and either need to wait for traffic to proceed across the road or if you are at a stop sign and waiting to merge into flowing traffic the truck will let you accelerate into traffic but then the throttle just goes dead. You can push the gas pedal all you want and the truck is just dead in the water for several seconds. Motor stays running and everything the throttle just wont work and you have to be very careful because when it suddenly comes back on if you have the pedal down to the floor it'll suddenly give you full power. It has almost caused me to get tboned 3x now and almost rear ended and then people are screaming at you and creating road rage because they think I just pulled out and stopped on purpose. I've gotten to the point I go to stop lights because I don't trust the truck to merge into flowing traffic. It feels to me like the crash avoidance is sensing something and cutting throttle but it doesn't beep or set off anything indicating that's what's happening. Dealer just always says they can not duplicate the issue. I'm going to mark 7/8/25 as the date that it's happend as I have that one written down but it did happen as recently as last week also I just don't remember the exact date. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | The vehicle experiences throttle lag/hesitation when going from a stop. At stop lights or when at a complete stop when you apply gas there is a good amount of hesitation before the engine moves. I found this is dangerous because the warmer the vehicle is the more I expirience it. Very concerning when trying to move out of traffic, when making left and right turns at intersections. There has not been an accident yet but it is a ticking time bomb. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Vehicle hesitates to accelerate from stop or slow roll when pedal is engaged. This hesitation nearly caused a collision when attempting a left-hand turn in heavy traffic. Problem can be reproduced easily and is exacerbated when on an incline. It has not been confirmed by dealer or service center. Occurs regardless of whether auto start/stop feature is enabled or not. Putting transmission in "S" mode and manually down shifting to first gear appears to prevent the issue. After the hesitation, when the vehicle begins to accelerate, it performs a "hard" acceleration, like the pedal was slammed to the floor, even though consistent pressure was maintained on the the pedal. Problem has existed since purchasing the vehicle new in Dec. 2023. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | While driving the vehicle there is excessive lag in throttle response when giving the vehicle gas pedal input. Example being when you push gas to accelerate there is a 1-2 second delay from the vehicle before there is movement or acceleration. This happens every time i drive the vehicle and has almost caused numerous accidents due to the inconsistent response to throttle input. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | I am the second owner of a 2024 Toyota Tundra that is branded as a manufacturer buyback/lemon. The first owner had the engine short block replaced at around 31,000 miles due to bearing failure. I later bought this truck at around 36,000 miles specifically because Toyota stated that the engine problem had been fixed with the short-block replacement. I relied on that representation and believed I was buying a vehicle whose defect had been properly remedied. Toyota has now issued safety recall 25V767 / 25TA14 (“engine may stall during driving”) for this same V35A engine, including service short blocks. I am concerned that the earlier short-block repair either did not fully fix the underlying defect or may have introduced additional problems. At around 41–42k miles, the truck developed starting issues and then completely failed to start, leaving me stranded in the middle of an intersection in town. The vehicle would not crank or start and had to be towed out of traffic, which I consider a serious safety risk. The dealer ultimately replaced a 50-amp fusible link, the 12V battery, and the starter. The total repair bill was about $2,100 before my third-party extended warranty paid a portion of it. Even with that coverage, this is an extremely expensive repair for a relatively new truck that has already had major engine work. Now I have engine history, electrical/starter problems, and I do not know what other issues may appear. I trusted Toyota’s assurance that the engine problem was fixed, and that is why I felt comfortable buying a branded lemon; this now feels like I was misled or cheated. I am also aware of ongoing engine and reliability complaints on newer 2024–2025 Tundras, which suggests there may be a broader design or quality issue. My concern is that my truck remains defective despite the prior engine short-block replacement and that other owners could experience similar no-start or stall situations in traffic. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I experience hesitation when applying the throttle from a stop followed by surging. This is incredibly alarming when trying to pull away from a stop sign or light, especially in residential areas with pedestrian traffic. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ENGINE | Was driving with flow of traffic and the Engine lost power went to zero RPM check engine light came on. It’s a non hybrids motor. Wouldn’t turn over once pulled on side of road Check underneath engine bay for leaks of fluid nothing was leaking. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ENGINE | Throttle lag happens quite frequently. Transmission issues dumping into gear stalling at times delayed start. Dealer says it was normal. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ENGINE | My 2024 tundra with 33000 miles is part of the latest recall, I called the dealership and was told I got to wait ( wait for what a XXX accident to happen) until Toyota sends me a letter and then dealerships get the parts! My truck is ticking, and not even running rite and no parts to fix it? Does anybody know how dangerous this is? XXX I drive myself and family in a 70000 truck that can literally blow up and cause a severe deadly situation especially living in southern Maine, and instead of fixing it rite away I gotta wait months from the sound of it.. no letter, no parts, no loaner, just prayers that God is with us until this XXX is fixed.. sad thing people with a brain know how dangerous it but nobody offers XXX. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ENGINE | Hesitation and throttle lag when accelerating the vehicle from a slow speed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | TIRES | I own a 2024 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition equipped with Falken Wildpeak A/T 265/60R20 112H tires (original equipment). The vehicle currently has 17,000 miles, and the tires have been rotated at regular intervals according to Toyota’s maintenance schedule. Despite proper care, the right front tire has shown excessive wear on the outer edge. This issue first appeared at 5,000 miles and was noted by my Toyota dealer, who performed an alignment and rotation at that time. The same wear pattern has now reappeared and worsened. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Severe throttle hesitation/lag when accelerating from a rolling stop for at least 2 seconds. This has happened at least 20 times since purchasing the vehicle in September 2024. On a few occasions, I had to abort acceleration completely to avoid an accident. It’s a very dangerous situation, especially with my family in the vehicle. I have noticed that putting the gear selector into ‘S’ manual mode seems to help considerably, therefore, this appears to be some form of a TCM problem. I took the vehicle to the dealer and they said that it performs like similar trucks. This problem is embarrassing and dangerous, and it needs an expeditious resolution. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | Throttle lag/hesitation. Significant throttle lag/hesitation when trying to accelerate from a dead stop. Throttle input isn’t instant, sometimes the delay in acceleration from a dead stop has put me in dangerous situations when pulling out to the road way or having to move out of the way. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Transmission hesitation when starting from a stop/ stop sign. Will take 1-2 seconds before transmission kicks in after coming to a stop and then proceeding with no one else in the intersection. Happens about 95% of the time. Has put me in a few near- misses where I expected the truck to get out before oncoming traffic. a similar issue occurs when starting on an incline- press the accelerator and it takes a few seconds for the transmission to catch up. Ongoing issue since about 7, 000 miles. Seems to be getting worse | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | WHEELS | Both front tires have premature wear to the outer edge. Additionally, all four tires have warned to 3/32" with less than 30,000 miles on them. Vehicle has been serviced by Toyota every 5,000 miles. All components have been inspected and per Toyota the vehicle alignment is within spec per manufacture. That being the case, the tires shouldn't wear unless there is a manufacture defect. Toyota nor Falken wants to honor the warranty or take responsibility for the defect of the OEM equipment. Toyota has a TSB for the Tundra alignment with 18" tires but refuse to add trucks with the 20" tires. They keep pointing the finger at each other leaving the customer with zero resolution. Others have replaced the tires but having the same issue reoccur. This is a safety concern as premature wear can contribute to poor cornering in curves, turns, and handling in wet or icy conditions. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | Truck has had several instances where there is throttle lag when accelerating from a standstill and from a rolling stop. Happens more often when making a right hand turn. This is a safety issue when turning at a stop sign or stop light in heavy traffic. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ENGINE | Hybrid 2024 Toyota, was accelerating on freeway on ramp when I received a notification of hybrid system malfunction and engine shutdown notice, "pullover". I was not able to use either system as there was no charge on the hybrid system and the hybrid system was not functioning due to the error, and the engine was shutdown. I was put in a situation of having to coast in a location of high vehicle traffic and greater relative speed to the road shoulder until I could safely stop. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ENGINE | Toyota has just extended the engine recall for debris left in it thru the 2024 year model for all non-hybrid Tundra vehicles. This recall makes no sense the Hybrid vehicles have the exact same engine and therefore have the exact same safety issue. The claim they are not being recalled because they can still be powered by the hybrid system, but this is false. If the engine seizes from this debris it will render the vehicle inoperable and cause a safety issue too. Those with the Hybrid who have experienced the failure confirm the vehicle becomes inoperable. When they take it to Toyota if still under warranty they are only offered a short block rebuild and not the long block and turbos as all non-hybrid receive under the recall. Please look into this issue and force Toyota to extend the recall to both Hybrid and Non-Hybrid as they both have the same engine and pose the same safety risk to the driver and other vehicles on the road. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | On Wednesday 10/21 at approximately 11:30pm I was traveling on the Clearview Expressway. While changing from the middle last to the left lane at 20mph due to a construction merge with some traffic. When trying to accelerate the truck lost all throttle power and my speed quickly dropped to 12mph before throttle response came back. No noticeable or harsh change of gear for this episode. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | On Tuesday 10/21 at approximately 4:30pm I was on the Grand Central Parkway traveling about 50mph. When trying to accelerate the truck lost all throttle power and I quickly lost speed down to 40mph before throttle response came back. There was a noticeable change in gear upon throttle resuming. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | On Saturday 10/18 I was traveling about 60mph on the Long Island Expressway at approximately 12:30pm when I went to accelerate to pass a vehicle. Immediately upon pressing the accelerator the truck lost all throttle power and I quickly lost speed down to 45mph before throttle response came back. The truck harshly went into gear once throttle power resumed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Brakes - When descending down a hill at speed the brakes on my truck pulsate as if the rotors are warped. My family was put at risk due to the brakes not functioning properly and causing me to let off the braking system in order to prevent overheating. I asked my dealer to review the brakes and they indicated nothing is wrong, I can reproduce this action anytime for the dealership with a simple ride up and down the mountain. This could result in a crash harming myself, my family, or other motorists. The problem began between 5k-10k miles and is getting worse. My truck currently has 16k miles. The brakes should last 40k-60k miles with no problem. Engine/fuel system - Since new, my truck has never met the window sticker EPA ratings listed. 22-23 models being recalled due to engine failure leads me to believe my engine is not performing at peak performance, thus, affecting fuel economy. I am afraid my model (built in 2023) is slowly experiencing the same main bearing failure as the 22-23 models suffered, having catastrophic results and was recalled to have a full engine replacement. My engine failing while driving could result in a crash harming myself, my family, or other motorists. I prefer not to wait for my engine to fail, given the fact that 22-23 models have all been recalled due to this manufacturing defect. Some, if not all 2024 models should also be recalled out of abundance of precaution. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ENGINE | Was driving at approx 35mph when engine started making clanking noise and truck shut off. Stalled on main road and barely made it into parking lot. Tried to started it again and did not start. Had truck towed to dealership where dealership assumed engine has ceased at 32k miles. No warning, messages, or symptoms. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | I have taken my vehicle in more than 3 times, regarding braking issues, the vehicle would brake automatically even when there is nothing in front of it, the pre collision sensor comes on in rain when there is no debris in front of it.Vwhicle was having throttle lag when come to a complete stop at a light. Now the panoramic roof is leaking, took it to the dealer more than 3 rimes for some these issues, regarding the roof leak, they said they were unable to duplicate it, I have videos showing it was leaking & pictures of all the malfunction from the dashboard. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
