Dec 2025 POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,UNKNOWN OR OTHER Known issue with these trucks apparently. Occasional throttle lag after stopping at a stop sign, with little response from the gas pedal. On november/december of this month pulling out into a main road with traffic coming, I stepped on the gas and experienced a complete "dead pedal". I stepped on the gas and had 0 response from the truck staying at 5-10 MPH. With cars now coming towards me quickly as I was not moving I floored the gas pedal and had 0 response for another 2-3 seconds until finally the truck jolted at an extreme rate of speed. *Also have a dash cam that recorded in the incident of me flooring it with some vulgar words as cars were coming and the truck was not moving at all.

Dec 2025 ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING,EXTERIOR LIGHTING The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V767000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) and 25V322000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The message "Engine Stopped" was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact was able to coast to the side of the road, and the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that there were metal shavings inside the engine. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, four weeks after the engine was replaced, while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that force was used to maneuver the steering wheel. The contact was able to coast to the side of the road. There was an unknown message displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that an unknown cable was not attached when the engine was replaced. The dealer tested the battery, and the battery failed the test. The battery was replaced. The contact stated that the infotainment screen displayed the message "Passenger Side Window Open" while the passenger side window was closed. The contact stated that when the passenger’s side window was rolled up, the window independently rolled down a few inches. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 31,000.

Dec 2025 VISIBILITY/WIPER The high speed on the wipers is absurdly under powered. It is truly pathetic. The equivalent of low speed on every other vehicle on the road. You can NOT continue to drive in even a minor downpour, safely. Those who insist on doing so WILL cause, or be involved in crashes. Having owned 4 generations of Toyota vehicles amounting to several models, this downgrade is really, very shocking. We have always found our Toyota's to meet or usually exceed safety features. There is NO WAY that they sincerely believed this was "okay" or were unaware. It exceeds "obvious" failure by quite a margin. They simply WILLFULLY ignored IT!

Dec 2025 POWER TRAIN,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE When in stop and go traffic, almost coming to a complete stop or completely stopped the truck will intermittently have a throttle delay or lag where there is no power for 1-3 seconds followed buy a surge of acceleration. I’ve almost had a couple accidents where in stop and go traffic the truck surged almost Causing me to rear end the vehicle ahead of me. Another time I was stopped at a 2 way unrolled intersection. I pressed on the accelerator and the truck just rolled without power for a couple Seconds until it surged or jolted to acceleration. Otherwise I would’ve been in the middle of the intersection with oncoming traffic approaching. The dealer inspected and was unable to replicate the problem and I have taken it in several times. Repairing dealer confirmed manufacturer has had complaints about the same issue with the same model vehicle. There were no codes or error messages ever displayed. The dealer said they would contact when and if the manufacturer had a remedy or recall available. .

Dec 2025 ENGINE Intermittent throttle response issues or engine lag. When coming from a complete stop, the truck will sometimes move slightly once the throttle is applied, then lose all engine power momentarily before beginning to move again. This is a recurring issue.

Dec 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Throttle hesitation from a stop, when pressing the accelerator truck does not move then suddenly will accelerate. This can cause delay when pulling in or out of intersections / traffic making it a safety hazard as the driver is not in control of the vehicle as it is random when it occurs. Multiple other vehicle owners of the same make model of this year and others of the same generation have made the complaint and nothing has been done to solve this issue.

Dec 2025 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE My 2024 Tundra has a throttle delay at times. When you go to accelerate quickly there is a second where the throttle cuts out and the truck stalls. This has almost caused me to get in multiple accidents.

Dec 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER My vehicle is subject to multiple recalls, including a serious safety recall. On November 6, 2025, Toyota issued NHTSA Safety Recall 25V767 stating that the engine may stall during driving, creating a crash risk. As of today, no repair remedy has been made available. Because of this safety risk, I stopped driving the vehicle. The issue has not occurred because I discontinued use out of safety concerns. An earlier recall, NHTSA Recall 25V322 issued on May 15, 2025 regarding reverse lamps becoming inoperable, also remains unresolved with no available remedy. Toyota acknowledged the safety concern by authorizing a rental vehicle. I am concerned about the lack of a repair timeline and the safety of this vehicle.

Dec 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE The vehicle will hesitate incredibly bad when driving in normal mode, when you go to take off from a stop or a rolling stop at a yield sign, the engine and system simply does not engage. It's about a three second delay, and then the vehicle takes off like a rocket, I have also had misfire engine codes that have left me on the side of the road with this vehicle, once you know about the hesitancy of the starting takeoff, you know, not to pull off in front of somebody as often. There is a delay in the throttle response of the vehicle. Have also had several infotainment system issues where the system goes totally blank or shows the front camera when in reverse, we use this vehicle for business, and all the issues have been a major concern of mine, as they are all safety issues.

Dec 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE When I am coming to a stop , but not a complete stop ( such as at a yield sign) the vehicle hesitates when I hit the throttle. It takes a second for the truck to engage. This is very dangerous. I believe that this could potentially cause a collision due to the vehicle not beginning motion when the throttle is pushed.

Dec 2025 POWER TRAIN My 2024 Toyota Tundra Platinum Non/Hybrid regularly stalls when trying to accelerate from a stop. This happens every day. When accelerating from a stop, the truck takes several seconds to move the truck to the point of almost being hit by oncoming traffic that I should have plenty of time to turn in front of. This is a very common problem among the Toyota Tundra community. I’ve brought this up to my dealer several times. They document it and call it normal operation.

Dec 2025 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,UNKNOWN OR OTHER At a stop, there is a delay when accelerating. It almost feels like it is "thinking" before it starts to go. There are no warning lamps. It is unsafe when pulling out of highway because of the uncertainty of when the vehicle feels like its going to go. Some call it turbolag but it feels more than that.

Dec 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,TIRES The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that the rearview camera displayed a frozen image or a black screen while the vehicle was in reverse(R). The contact stated that the failure obstructed the driver's visibility, which prevented the driver from safely operating the vehicle. In addition, the infotainment screen failed to function as intended. While the contact was using the hands-free phone, the call occasionally disconnected. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the hands-free phone disconnecting was due to the cell phone service. The dealer updated the software. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not inspected or diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that prior to the failure, the tires on the vehicle showed inner sidewall damage. The tires were not replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer contacted the dealer, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 4,000.

Dec 2025 POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE I am experiencing an ongoing issue since the truck was new: the engine hesitates upon acceleration at any speed. When stopped this lag in throttle response makes it difficult to navigate in heavy or unpredictable traffic as the vehicle does not response to the pedal instantly and making intentional sudden speed changes is all but impossible to do safely. Depressing the pedal heavy to try and hasten the response makes the truck surge into hard and fast acceleration, worsening the issue. I have discussed this with the dealer and they said this is “normal” for this truck, and I have heard the same from numerous other 3rd generation Tundra owners. This is a safety issue because I don’t have adequate control of the vehicle’s dynamics as the computer is overriding my control of the acceleration, presumably to improve fuel economy. Ultimately this seems to be an intentional design decision by Toyota and puts me and my passengers at risk.

Dec 2025 ENGINE On 11/28/2025 I was driving to work and all the warning lights on my 2024 Toyota lit up and the engine shut completely off. I had the vehicle towed to Performance Toyota Dealership in Bountiful, UT. I learned that there is a recall for the engine on these vehicles. The vehicle is still under factory warranty and had 34k miles on it. After a week of my truck sitting at the dealership they still are waiting on a decision from “Corporate” on whether they want to replace the engine under the factory warranty or they want to replace the engine under the recall which they are saying “no remedy” has been put out on the 2024 Tundra recall yet. The outcome of either remedy is a new engine. I also asked about just trading the truck in for a newer model which when I asked they took the Blue Book trade in value down $10k since it had a recall on it. This is no fault of my own and this is terrible customer service from Toyota. I also received a loaner car from them which I cannot drive because I don’t meet the age requirement so my dad has to drive the loaner vehicle which he is very unhappy about since I’m having to borrow his new vehicle to drive back and forth to work and putting miles on his new car. This whole process is very frustrating and unfair to not have a decision made on the engine replacement or being treated fairly on a trade in. Thankfully there was no accident with injuries.

Dec 2025 ENGINE Several situations where the throttle hesitates when entering traffic or trying to come to interstate speeds on merge ramps. 1-2 sec delay has caused potential close calls while merging, when plenty of room existed to merge at speed.

Dec 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER This sunroof has a rattle that will not stop. I have taken it to a Toyota Dealer twice, and was told this was a known issue and will do what they can to help with the rattle. The sunroof shakes and rattles like glass hitting the tracks, or glass hitting metal when driving down the road. I am afraid one bump will shatter the glass. Will be returning to the dealership for a third time today to see if it can be fixed.

Dec 2025 ENGINE While moving through an intersection the vehicle will occasionally loose power and the engine returns to idle. I will press on the gas for 3-4 seconds before the engine throttle reacts and the vehicle starts to accelerate. This has happened many times. The vehicle will turn or brake but it will not accelerate.

Dec 2025 ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING,EXTERIOR LIGHTING The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that while driving in inclement weather, the rearview camera became inoperable, and moisture was visible in the displayed image. The contact also stated that while driving at 50 MPH, the vehicle stalled. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle did not need to be restarted. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V322000 (Exterior Lighting) and 25V767000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the parts to perform the recall repairs were not yet available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

Dec 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The truck has a hesitation or lag at stop signs every day, every stop sign it's like the transmission doesn't know what to do and doesn't shift into 1st unless you come to a complete stop for several seconds. Hit the throttle and nothing is happening. Even more scary thing that has happened about 8x so far is when you are stopped at an intersection and either need to wait for traffic to proceed across the road or if you are at a stop sign and waiting to merge into flowing traffic the truck will let you accelerate into traffic but then the throttle just goes dead. You can push the gas pedal all you want and the truck is just dead in the water for several seconds. Motor stays running and everything the throttle just wont work and you have to be very careful because when it suddenly comes back on if you have the pedal down to the floor it'll suddenly give you full power. It has almost caused me to get tboned 3x now and almost rear ended and then people are screaming at you and creating road rage because they think I just pulled out and stopped on purpose. I've gotten to the point I go to stop lights because I don't trust the truck to merge into flowing traffic. It feels to me like the crash avoidance is sensing something and cutting throttle but it doesn't beep or set off anything indicating that's what's happening. Dealer just always says they can not duplicate the issue. I'm going to mark 7/8/25 as the date that it's happend as I have that one written down but it did happen as recently as last week also I just don't remember the exact date.
