Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE A software update for the Uconnext system was pushed to the vehicle and accepted. Immediately after the car said the system was updated, the vehicle engine stopped completely, and the whole dashboard shut down. Restarted the car, but this repeated several times in a very short distance. The “D” was blinking in the transmission. It was barely possible to pull the vehicle over, as all power was lost. After some time stopped and waiting for a tow truck, driver pushed the factory reset button to reset the system. After factory reset, the car operated normally.

Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM A software update was installed yesterday, and I almost died on a busy interstate when my vehicle shut down and would not restart. The jeep software update is causing THOUSANDS of vehicles to shut down. I literally had to wait hours for police to show up to clear the road so we could safely tow the vehicle. I come to home look on the Jeep forums and LOTS of people had the same issues.

Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE While driving the car shut down. We had to come to a stop to put it in park to restart. Thankfully we were in a a parking lot after one incidence and once on a side road. We would be in a very dangerous situation if we had been on the highway. Our dealer service center said it might be a software update issue but they are not sure. These incidents did occur immediately after a software update. The check engine light did come on a stayed on after the shut down.

Oct 2025 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Got an OTA Update last night, this morning saw some post on the internet about that update went to check my jeep and it came on but once it kicks the gas engine for like 2 or 3 seconds the vehicle shut off and asked to shift to park, if I don’t see this internet news I’d have been stranded on the road

Oct 2025 POWER TRAIN,ENGINE OTS update today on 10-10-25 on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE caused my Jeep to stall/die about a mile from my house losing all engine/motor power and my Drive selector D to begin flashing. I had to put my Jeep in park in a busy intersection narrowly being hit several times by oncoming traffic. I had to put in park and shut the Jeep completely off, then back on and finally after reboot, could put in drive to safely get out of the intersection. My check engine light is now on and I have zero trust in my Jeep and know it is EXTREMELY dangerous to safely drive. When all traffic was gone, I made it home, but engine light is on, and radio display that shows icons are all missing, and screen is flashing and changing screen sizes. Jeep is not drivable.

Oct 2025 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE After downloading the latest UConnect update, I turned on my Jeep and started my drive. About 500 feet later all the dash lights came on, told me to shift into drive to drive (I was) and I lost all power and steering control. I turned the Jeep off and back on and I could drive. This time I made it 1/4 mile and it shut off again, same situation in the middle of an intersection making a left turn. I was nearly hit by other vehicles and had to rely on the downhill slope to roll into the closest parking lot. The software update is bricking all 4xe jeeps that download the software update. UConnect help said they didn’t have a solution and to call Jeep Customer Support. I called them and a man answered the phone and said “we can’t help, call back on Monday” and hung up. I called my dealership and they didn’t know what was wrong with it either. I now do not have a vehicle until Tuesday at the soonest due to the holiday and the weekend.

Oct 2025 STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL Jeep pushed out an OTA update for their Uconnect system. Upon completion of this update, that occurred while I was driving, I lost control of my vehicle. My steering wheel locked up, all of the lights on my dashboard started flashing, and I was instructed to pull the jeep over. I was unable to operate the vehicle and had to be towed.

Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE Jeep pushed a Uconnect update on 10/10/2025 which I installed, caused my vehicle to shut off completely during driving on a main road shortly after leaving my home. All engine and dash lights came on, coult not take the vehicle out of drive. The shifter was stuck. I turned the vehicle off then moved shifter back to park and started it again. It continued to do this every few feet. This is extremely dangerous and could cause major accidents to happen.

Oct 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER On 10/10/2025 at approximately 11:00 pm CT I was driving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe on a four lane divided highway at 70 MPH. During the drive a check engine light popped on solid and three seconds later the vehicle killed power and the steering wheel locked up. The Check Engine light was solid and NOT blinking. 911 was called as this incident occurred at the crest of a hill and I was still partially on the roadway. This was following an Over the Air UConnect Box update at 5:00 pm CT. The vehicle was able to be moved to the shoulder and was towed to the service center.

Oct 2025 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE I was slowing down for a stoplight vehicle shut off, came to an abrupt stop and shifted itself into Park. I then had to use the shifter knob to adjust it to Park to get the vehicle to turn on. This almost caused and rear end accident as I was not fully to the stop line area of for the light. The vehicle would then not go over 2500 RPMs and had to be limped off of the roadway. There were no warnings before this happened. All of it happened in a split second and my partner and I were jolted forward. I immediately reported this to the jeep dealership and they were very concerned about this. After this incident, my service engine light came on and stayed on later in the day it disappeared on its own without any clearing of any devices. I have attached pictures of what showed up as warning lights as soon as this incident happened.

Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE Jeep pushed a software update on 4xe models on 10-10-2025. Today on 10-11-25 I pulled out of my driveway drove less than 100 feet and lost power. The check engine light came on vehicle said to switch to park and start the vehicle. This happens four times trying to turn around in a 2 block radius to get home. With the vehicle parked I turned it on kept my foot on the brake vehicle in drive and it continues to occur. Dealership said they had several 4xe towed in and multiple calls. Jeep customer service claims they are unaware of the issue. My 2024 Jeep is not drivable.

Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM After an over-the-air update of the Uconnect system on 10/10/25 the vehicle repeatedly lost propulsion. In each instance I abruptly had absolutely no acceleration, the gear indicator on the dash started flashing, the power mode indicator (electric/hybrid/esave) disappeared, an alert said shift into park and press the brake + start button, and the check engine light and red wrench lights came on. I was still able to steer and brake with power steering and brakes for maybe 30 seconds before those went out too. After putting it into park and pressing the brake and start button it started back up and I could drive it normally for a little bit, but it happened two more times on a 1.5 mi drive. This is a serious safety issue. I read the check engine code which was P1E1D

Oct 2025 POWER TRAIN After a prompt on the infotainment system to update “Uconnect” I accepted. The car was parked for the duration of the update. 30 minutes later, I was driving on a 45mph road and lost power and an error stating to put the car in park and restart the vehicle. The check engine light stayed on after restart. I was able to drive about a mile home and jeep towed the vehicle to the nearest dealer.

Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE After Jeep pushed over air update on 10/10/25, car experiences sudden and complete loss of power. Vehicle basically dies while in motion and had to wait until it stops to restart. In less than .5 mile, this happened 5 times.

Oct 2025 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM When I pulled my Jeep 4xe into my garage, I got an alert on my radio saying my Jeep needed to updated. I selected to go ahead and update it. The next time I drove my vehicle, I made it about a quarter mile. When I was crossing an intersection, all of the lights on my dash went crazy and my Jeep completely shut down. Luckily I could put it into neutral to coast through the busy intersection. It was very scary. I had to pull over, turn it off and back on again. It did start up and continued to drive. Now my check engine light is on.

Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Immediately after downloading the Uconnect 10/10/25 update, as requested by my Jeep, the car immediately lost all power, shutting completely off in 6pm traffic. This problem on 10/11/25 has been posted all over social media. Took the jeep to the dealership for service and they said they have no information from Stellantis about this occurring. No warnings prior to downloading update. We could have been killed.

Oct 2025 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE Had an update, and now the Jeep is flashing lights everywhere, there was a thud, and it won’t drive. If this happened while I was driving, it could have caused a big issue and accident.

Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM My car will abruptly lose all power will driving down the road and the dash directs you to put it in park and restart the vehicle. This requires coming to a complete stop in the middle of the roadway. This happened 10x in a 30 mile drive and at times at highway speeds. Forcing me to either stop in the middle of the freeway or hope i can get to the side of the road to pull off. This is extremely dangerous and from my early research this is happening to all 4xe wranglers after a failed update last night. Jeep is advising people to drive the car in gas mode (which it does not have) but all 3 hybrid modes have the same result. Someone is going to be seriously injured or killed because of this issue. Nobody should be driving these vehicles like this and i dont know what my 18 year old daughter would have done if she was driving on the highway. This emergency needs immediate attention not the response from Jeep that they will “look into it monday”
