| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | This car is a hybrid, plug in electric. I have issues with the car racing on it's own to charge the battery, meaning if I come to a stop and take my foot off the brake the car will race forward and cruise at 15mph without me accelerating. I find this to be extremely dangerous and will take it back to the dealer once again. I have had many other issues with the car and none have been resolved. This one to be is the most worrisome. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES | While driving a message pops up that says push brake and shift to park and the it shuts down while driving which is a major safety concern. It did it to me twice and could have lead to a significant accident if someone was behind me and if I was on the highway. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the temperature gauge rose to the maximum, the engine revved loudly, and the vehicle suddenly stalled. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was unable to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was able to restart, and the contact continued driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the dealer attempted to diagnose the vehicle, but the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that the failure recurred while driving. The vehicle was taken to AutoNation Chrysler Jeep West (16300 W Colfax Ave, Golden, CO 80401); and the contact provided a video of a previous occurrence of the failure to the dealer; however, the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was referred the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 60,000 |
| Jun 2025 | POWER TRAIN | In traffic, in drive, at speed 40 MPH, vehicle shifted automatic transmission to low gear, dropped speed to 10 MPH, every alarm indicator came on, RPMs were in the 6K red line range, was able to pull of the road, engine shut down, was not able to shift, restart, or use key fob functions. Towed to dealer replaced aux battery, replaced TCM valve body assembly. Vehicle mileage 4,380. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | As I was driving onto the highway I reached to about 70 mph. The vehicle said “service electric system” on the dashboard and instantly the vehicle lost power and turned off. It then shifted from drive to park without warning as I was still on the highway. I pulled over safely without causing an accident and turned the vehicle completely off. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE | First, this Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4XE is a disaster! It has broken down 4 times so far. And it has been towed to the dealership 3 times. The safety issues is that is has literally stopped in the middle of the road or highway 3 times so far. It has been to shop 4 times to get fixed with no solution at all. I have talked to others who have or had this vehicle with many of the same issues. They hate the car, including m,e, and cannot wait or have gotten rid of the car. Lemon law is my next step. Cannot believe that you have not done a mandatory recall on all of these 4XE Jeeps/. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | On several occasions, FCW activated unexpectedly in low risk situations (in driveway, pulling into neighborhood) May 2024 & Nov 2024. While driving 60MHP on a 4 lane highway during rush hour on May 19, FCW activated unexpectedly; immediately taking me down to 20MHP. The “BRAKE” warning and beeping remained with the brakes activated for 30-60 seconds. I was unable to accelerate. Vehicles behind me had to swerve to avoid impact. As I was pulling off the highway immediately following, FCW activated again and I was nearly rear-ended. There were no vehicles in front of me for a least a mile during these incidents. Vehicle has been inspected by 3 separate certified Jeep mechanic. All claim they cannot identify an issue with the vehicle as there are no active codes in the system. The dealer has not been able to reproduce the concern. It appears to happen every couple thousand miles. My safety and my family’s safety and other drivers are at risk if this vehicle remains on the road unfixed. The sudden braking could cause a major accident. Jeep refuses to address the issue. The dealer insists nothing is wrong because the issue is not found. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| May 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | My jeep is a 2024, with just about 12,000 miles. On Monday, May 5, 2025. My Air Conditioner stopped working. It was only blowing out warm air. Now I’m told there’s some kind of AC leak and it will take 2-5 days for parks and a full day to repair. After reading reviews. This is a known issue with 2022 jeeps. This needs to be an issue with 2024. This is my 3rd jeep and I’ve never had issues like this. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I was changing my right rear tire due to a nail on a slight slope in my driveway and I had a roll away incident. The top of my driveway is a slight slope and then changes to fairly steep. My vehicle rolled off of my jack and jack stand and continued into the street. Fortunately there was no damage other than extreme stress | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Since I began leasing the vehicle, it has not consistently switched into electric mode, even when charged. Sometimes, it will stay in hybrid-only mode for days. Today, I received a warning of an electrical system failure. I have only had the vehicle for 3 months. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I was traveling on a highway at 65MPH in Hybrid mode. The car displayed a Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System Warning Message along with several other system failure messages in rapid succession. The battery failure icon was also on. The car lost all power and started slowing down. Luckily traffic was light and I was able to reach a point to where I was able to move to a spot on the roadside. I stopped the car and it automatically went into park and would not move out of park. After several tries I was able to start the vehicle in esave mode and it was running on the ICE. All of the errors cleared. I was able to proceed to a side road and eventually make it home. I took it to my local dealer the next day and a read of the code was a B273C indicating digital crash detection. The service manager said this is a known problem and they are waiting for a fix. Reference Star Publication S2408000063 Rev. C In most cases only the Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System Warning Message comes on for a few second and goes away. This has occurred on my vehicle multiple times with no side effects. One other time the car went into Turtle mode, which cleared after a restart. It was in town so was not an issue to pull over. This time the loss of power could have been catastrophic if traffic was heavy while traveling on a busy highway at high speeds. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2025 | STEERING,SUSPENSION,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | We have an unknown problem with a clunking/creaking noise while driving the vehicle we believe is coming from the front of the vehicle, possibly the suspension or steering. We are not sure we feel safe driving the vehicle since after taking it to the dealer three times in the past year, the dealer acknowledges the clunking but has not been able to identify and fix the issue. We have been told by the dealer it is safe to drive - but if they can't identify and fix the issue - how do they know that to be the case? Without being able to identify the cause of the noise and whatever resulting unusual wear and tear, will we have a catastrophic steering or suspension failure while driving the vehicle? Our 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe Trailhawk, (purchased new) has an "air" suspension - not sure if it's an option or standard on the Trailhawk models. We have had it in to the dealer three times for this issue - this last time the dealer had the truck for 16 plus weeks. The front stabilizer bar has been replaced multiple times, the upper and lower control arms have all been replaced, all four air shocks have been replaced, and a mounting bracket replaced. The dealer told us they opened a Star case with Jeep and the Jeep engineer has been on-site to examine the vehicle. After the engineer requested three different fixes that did not fix the problem, the dealer returned the vehicle and stated they are aware the issue persists and the Jeep engineering group is working on a resolution (even though they no longer have the vehicle in their possession to test solutions). They will notify us when a repair is available. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2025 | EQUIPMENT | 1. The red wrench light, accompanied by a "service hybrid electric vehicle system" 2. The unconnect box needing to be serviced screen is also always popping up when the car turns on. Dealer was notified and did nothing about it. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2025 | POWER TRAIN | The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while attempting to complete a right turn, the vehicle studently jolted and surged forward. The contact stated that because of the failure, the vehicle struck the curb before coming to a complete stop. The air bags did not deploy. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the contact was not provided a cause for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened for a potential vehicle buyback. The failure mileage was 18,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 18,000 |
| Mar 2025 | STEERING | The contact who is a State Trooper reported that the driver of a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee was fatally injured when a second vehicle crashed into the rear of the vehicle. A witness reported that the vehicle had stopped in the left eastbound lane on [XXX] when a second vehicle traveling approximately 70 MPH crashed into the rear of the vehicle. During the crash, the driver was partially ejected from the closed sunroof. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was transported to the hospital with multiple fractures. No further information was available. The contact indicated that medical personnel removed the deceased driver from thru the sunroof of the vehicle and no doors had opened during the crash. While investigating the crash the contact reported that the steering wheel had separated from the steering column and was located near the rear seat area. Also, there were no visual signs of damage to the steering column or any sheered-off bolts from the steering column present. The contact indicated that an eye witness also indicated that the vehicle was driving erratically prior to stopping. The vehicle was later towed away. The cause of the incident was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not yet contacted. The failure mileage was unknown. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Injuries: 1 Fatalities: 1 Towed Medical attention | Unknown |
| Mar 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The entire vehicle failed with a No Start Issue. The vehicle will not wake up, can not jump off. My safety is being stranded without a workable vehicle. No the problem has not been resolved after being towed into service to the dealer twice. The STAR engineers got involved this last time but asked the service center to release the vehicle to me because they could not replicate the issue. No warning lamps, messages or other symptoms to indicate a problem with the vehicle/engine/electronic system, the vehicle is just simply dead. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The catalytic converter had to be replaced after 3000 miles. Vehicle was purchased in September and it had to be replaced in December. Had to take vehicle in twice for them to diagnose the problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING,SERVICE BRAKES | The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the brake pedal failed to keep the vehicle stopped while at a stop light or stop sign, allowing the vehicle to continue to roll forward. The contact stated that the taillights failed to illuminate until manually turned on. The failure occurred intermittently. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who could not determine the cause of the failure. The contact was informed to return the vehicle to the dealer if the failure occurred again. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, Ron Carter Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram League City (3535 Gulf Fwy, League City, TX 77573) however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 1,000 |
| Jan 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Bought my new 2024 Jeep in July 2024 and went to work this morning and came out 8 1/2 hours later to a dead car and the after a jump the engine malfunction light was on called to make an appt to get my car in to see what’s going on. I have noticed that I have been having problems using the car starter sometimes it won’t start and my seat and steering wheel warmers are programmed to come on at all starts and if the temp outside is 40 and above they do not come on. When starting the vehicle it starts very heavy and loud. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Car consistently will not start after sitting for more than 2 days. Cannot be immeaditly jump started. Talke to dealer and was told that is an ongoing issue with all Gran Cherokee's. A check of their car lot shows most cars needed to be jump started to show clients. They also told be they just had a service meeting discussiong issues with cars and JD power surveys. It was agrred by the sales force the batteries were not powerful enough for the carsa. Stallantis rep said they never heard of this before | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | the issues I'm experiencing are a rubbing sound when breaking and turing the wheel. THE CAR TURNED ON AND COULD NOT BE TURNED OFF. nothing worked or responded no matter what you pushed. The brake sensor and lane assist diagnostic fault codes (error codes)popped up which they couldn't find a bulletin or error code to replicate the issue. The vehicle would not read the key fob, it would say the fob had left the vehicle because the door opened, or if i move the key while in the vehicle( bulletin for this issue). I get the call that my vehicle is ready and I'm driving away and the steering wheel vibration coming from the engine between 40 and 49mph feels like I should be driving on rumble strips, but the drive is smooth, this is coming straight from the engine or transmission when you accelerate through the steering wheel. This was not an issue before they ran their tests and fixed said problems. The computers are still updating on the screen and I hope that it evens out when the car turns on and off and the computers reset.NOW TODAY the car starts dinging and error codes are flashing on my dash. It's the lane sensor and the lane assist error code going crazy. This was the issue they couldn't replicate or find a bulletin on. Here's the fun part, the problem becomes more consistent when I apply the brakes. One time the brakes seem to not work properly. All these error codes pop up when you initiate the braking system. Then the final error code was warning me that the breaking system was faulty. I drove it straight to the dealership and left out with them again. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | SUSPENSION,STRUCTURE,SERVICE BRAKES | When driving on any kind of roads the brake pedal has a vibration. I recently changed the tires and it helped a little but the vibration is still there. I want to get this resolved bc I’m afraid of driving sometimes. The vibration isn’t crazy but I don’t know what is causing it. I feel unsafe driving sometimes. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | it failed to shift out of low gear while merging onto the highway and the engine revved up to 6000 rpm as a result. I read that this is happening to other owners and the dealerships are unable to locate the problem. This is the first time that this happened to me, but from what I've read it will happen again. I'm afraid that the engine or transmission might blow up injuring me or or another vehicle next to me on the highway. I'm also afraid that if something does fail that it might cause me to lose control of the vehicle. I currently have a call into the dealership, but with what others have stated online, the dealerships have not been helpful in isolating the problem. There was no indication of any type (lamps or messages) that there was a problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
