| Sep 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Lost power temporarily traveling on highway. Recall exists but Mopar says they have no fix but aren't providing owners with alternative transportation or offering to take the vehicle back. If this issue is significant enough to warrant a recall and stop sale then the vehicles should not be on the road. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | POWER TRAIN,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | While driving 70mph the vehicle had a sudden loss of power which required me to quickly navigate over two lanes of highway traffic to the right shoulder. I had no power or ability to accelerate. I was in hybrid mode with adaptive cruise control active. Upon safely making it to the shoulder of the road, I saw message on the dash saying something about electrical mode unavailable. I turned the vehicle off completely and back on again after waiting approximately 30 seconds. The error message cleared and the vehicle operated normally. This has not happened again after another 1,000 miles of driving, but it is currently being seen at the dealer for another issue with that will not allow electric mode operation, only combustion engine. We believe we may have a vehicle in the 1% outlined in NHTSA 25v-576 and are waiting a solution from the manufacturer. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | A current recall on vehicle reference to the propulsion and no remedy is available. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | THERE IS a safety recall on vehicle that Manufacturer Safety recall issued. there is no remedy. while reading all of the safety issues that come with this. this is not a great way to feel as you drive with fear vehicle may stop operating while you are driving and can cause an accident. | Crash: Yes Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Hybrid system failure alert (red wrench)– the vehicle has shut down while driving, including on highways. When the light goes on – it has braked on its own without me touching the pedal. DCI- is the code the dealership says is coming up No fix for it | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES | When slowing down to park vehicle, there was a sudden surge forward on 3 separate occasions. The first in June 2025 caused me to go over a mound of dirt and into wooded area before stopping. This cost my insurance $7200. to fix. Then again it happened with my husband driving. Again, on 8-27-25. Both times we were able to slam on brakes to prevent hitting another vehicle or person. | Crash: Yes Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I have a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE and have owned it for about 11 months. I bought it new. For the first 7 or 8 months, no problems at all. However, in the last 2 or 3 months, the truck has intermittently shutdown while driving. It's happened on the highway and on local streets. I've taken it to two Jeep dealers for service, and neither could replicate the problem. It's not showing any fault codes when they diagnose. One dealer said they updated the software and should have fixed the issue. It hasn't. I am afraid to drive this vehicle and will never let my wife drive it. I've searched online and see others have had the exact same issues. I need to get this vehicle repaired by Stellantis/Jeep otherwise I'll be forced to return it. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM FAILURE While driving and using navigation the system aborts, the screen either blanks out or message "system loading". The radio freezes as well or plays music from a different radio station that driver has chosen. This causes driver to take eyes off from road - which is a safety issue while in traffic. The manufacturer contends that this does not pose a safety related situation. We disagree as have had a near accident as result of system aborting while using navigation and not knowing route when this happens.....we try to reboot system by pushing different buttons which takes our eyes from traffic and road conditions. There have been 8 repair attempts and now manufacturer claims a fix may be out in late September. NHTSA literature states this condition is "Distracted Driving"---we completely agree... The manufacturer has been working on this issue for 12 months now and says may be another 3 months or maybe longer. This condition is unsafe and we believe a factory mandated recall should be released. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2025 | ENGINE | Vehicle states “Service Hybrid System” intermittently while driving and being idle. Vehicle shuts off intermittently while driving and being idle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving approximately 2 MPH, the vehicle experienced an unintended and excessive acceleration, and the vehicle failed to respond upon depressing the brake pedal. The contact stated that the vehicle came to a stop independently. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle remained at the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,422. | Crash: No Fire: No | 5,422 |
| Jul 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Emergency electric brake system has set up a number of times on its own always when it was parked. I was towing the car behind a motorhome ,it is 2024 grand Cherokee Jeep Summit with approximately 6600 miles on it ,the electric emergency break system set up going down the road at 50 mile an hour behind the motorhome. The motorhome has 650 hp engine. I didn’t even feel the brakes set up on the car. I saw a lot of smoke behind the motorhome . I pulled over and it turned out the electric brake set and I couldn’t get it to release. I called the dealer where I bought it to see if they could tell me how to release it. They referred me to jeep, I thought sure that they’d have someone but they referred me to a jeep dealer in Santa Fe, New Mexico The dealership had a tow co haul it to the dealership and told me tow ins were 3 to 4 weeks out before they could get in and look at them . After a month and they had not looked at it I had it hauled to Mike Shaw Jeep where I bought it. My concern is that had I been driving that car on interstate highways in Colorado 75 mph or states where it’s 85 miles an hour and the brake set up I’m going to be in the ditch or in the front of another vehicle killing my self and family or someone else family. This Jeep needs to be taken off the road before someone is Killed. I refuse to drive it.or let a family member drive it.have had no satisfaction from Jeep dealers. I had to have a car to drive so I had to spend another $60,000 for a car.. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | The rear turn signal on the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee is very small. Following vehicles seem to have difficulty in seeing a signaled turn. This condition is exacerbated when driving into the sun. On several occasions, when attempting a left-hand turn and stopped for oncoming traffic, following vehicles have had to brake hard to avoid a rear end collision. This puts the occupants of both vehicles at risk for injury. It is unknown if this condition has been reported to the manufacturer. Because it is a design issue it is unlikely to be resolved by a dealer. The turn signal indicator in the instrument panel was functioning and a visual conformation of the functioning turn signal was made after the incident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | This car is a hybrid, plug in electric. I have issues with the car racing on it's own to charge the battery, meaning if I come to a stop and take my foot off the brake the car will race forward and cruise at 15mph without me accelerating. I find this to be extremely dangerous and will take it back to the dealer once again. I have had many other issues with the car and none have been resolved. This one to be is the most worrisome. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES | While driving a message pops up that says push brake and shift to park and the it shuts down while driving which is a major safety concern. It did it to me twice and could have lead to a significant accident if someone was behind me and if I was on the highway. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the temperature gauge rose to the maximum, the engine revved loudly, and the vehicle suddenly stalled. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was unable to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was able to restart, and the contact continued driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the dealer attempted to diagnose the vehicle, but the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that the failure recurred while driving. The vehicle was taken to AutoNation Chrysler Jeep West (16300 W Colfax Ave, Golden, CO 80401); and the contact provided a video of a previous occurrence of the failure to the dealer; however, the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was referred the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 60,000 |
| Jun 2025 | POWER TRAIN | In traffic, in drive, at speed 40 MPH, vehicle shifted automatic transmission to low gear, dropped speed to 10 MPH, every alarm indicator came on, RPMs were in the 6K red line range, was able to pull of the road, engine shut down, was not able to shift, restart, or use key fob functions. Towed to dealer replaced aux battery, replaced TCM valve body assembly. Vehicle mileage 4,380. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | As I was driving onto the highway I reached to about 70 mph. The vehicle said “service electric system” on the dashboard and instantly the vehicle lost power and turned off. It then shifted from drive to park without warning as I was still on the highway. I pulled over safely without causing an accident and turned the vehicle completely off. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE | First, this Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4XE is a disaster! It has broken down 4 times so far. And it has been towed to the dealership 3 times. The safety issues is that is has literally stopped in the middle of the road or highway 3 times so far. It has been to shop 4 times to get fixed with no solution at all. I have talked to others who have or had this vehicle with many of the same issues. They hate the car, including m,e, and cannot wait or have gotten rid of the car. Lemon law is my next step. Cannot believe that you have not done a mandatory recall on all of these 4XE Jeeps/. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | On several occasions, FCW activated unexpectedly in low risk situations (in driveway, pulling into neighborhood) May 2024 & Nov 2024. While driving 60MHP on a 4 lane highway during rush hour on May 19, FCW activated unexpectedly; immediately taking me down to 20MHP. The “BRAKE” warning and beeping remained with the brakes activated for 30-60 seconds. I was unable to accelerate. Vehicles behind me had to swerve to avoid impact. As I was pulling off the highway immediately following, FCW activated again and I was nearly rear-ended. There were no vehicles in front of me for a least a mile during these incidents. Vehicle has been inspected by 3 separate certified Jeep mechanic. All claim they cannot identify an issue with the vehicle as there are no active codes in the system. The dealer has not been able to reproduce the concern. It appears to happen every couple thousand miles. My safety and my family’s safety and other drivers are at risk if this vehicle remains on the road unfixed. The sudden braking could cause a major accident. Jeep refuses to address the issue. The dealer insists nothing is wrong because the issue is not found. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | BACK OVER PREVENTION | The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while her mother was driving, the rearview camera displayed a distorted image while the vehicle was in reverse(R) and failed to sound as intended, compromising the back-over prevention system. The contact stated that the failure prevented the driver from safely operating the vehicle. Due to the failure, the contact stated that her mother had been involved in a low-speed parking lot accident. The vehicle moved forward and hit a brick wall, where it came to a stop. It was unknown if warning lights were illuminated. The driver-side and passenger-side air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries sustained. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a collision center. The body damage was repaired. However, the rearview camera was not repaired. The insurance company was contacted. Weeks later, the contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign number: 24V944000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION). On a separate occasion, the contact was driving at 5 MPH while parallel parking, the rearview camera image froze, compromising the back-over prevention system. The contact stated that the failure prevented the driver from safely operating the vehicle. Due to the failure, the contact hit a cement flower pot, where it came to a stop. The driver-side and passenger-side air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries sustained. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. | May 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | My jeep is a 2024, with just about 12,000 miles. On Monday, May 5, 2025. My Air Conditioner stopped working. It was only blowing out warm air. Now I’m told there’s some kind of AC leak and it will take 2-5 days for parks and a full day to repair. After reading reviews. This is a known issue with 2022 jeeps. This needs to be an issue with 2024. This is my 3rd jeep and I’ve never had issues like this. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I was changing my right rear tire due to a nail on a slight slope in my driveway and I had a roll away incident. The top of my driveway is a slight slope and then changes to fairly steep. My vehicle rolled off of my jack and jack stand and continued into the street. Fortunately there was no damage other than extreme stress | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Since I began leasing the vehicle, it has not consistently switched into electric mode, even when charged. Sometimes, it will stay in hybrid-only mode for days. Today, I received a warning of an electrical system failure. I have only had the vehicle for 3 months. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I was traveling on a highway at 65MPH in Hybrid mode. The car displayed a Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System Warning Message along with several other system failure messages in rapid succession. The battery failure icon was also on. The car lost all power and started slowing down. Luckily traffic was light and I was able to reach a point to where I was able to move to a spot on the roadside. I stopped the car and it automatically went into park and would not move out of park. After several tries I was able to start the vehicle in esave mode and it was running on the ICE. All of the errors cleared. I was able to proceed to a side road and eventually make it home. I took it to my local dealer the next day and a read of the code was a B273C indicating digital crash detection. The service manager said this is a known problem and they are waiting for a fix. Reference Star Publication S2408000063 Rev. C In most cases only the Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System Warning Message comes on for a few second and goes away. This has occurred on my vehicle multiple times with no side effects. One other time the car went into Turtle mode, which cleared after a restart. It was in town so was not an issue to pull over. This time the loss of power could have been catastrophic if traffic was heavy while traveling on a busy highway at high speeds. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
