| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | These vehicles need to be taken off the road and Stellantis needs to buy them back. 4 recalls all related to fires and/or failure of propulsion at speed that can cause accidents. Now I have 2 more open recalls, one for battery fire risk and another for the gasoline engine fire risk. Both the battery and gas engine systems on this vehicle are not safe enough to drive but there is no available fix for either. If the vehicles are unsafe enough to warrant these safety recalls with no fix then they should not be on the roads and those of us that are stuck with them should have relief from the manufacturer to get rid of them. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | THIS HYBRID VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH A BATTERY THAT CAN COMBUST AND CATCH ON FIRE. A REMEDY IS UNAVAILABLE - THE CAR IS A SAFETY PROBLEM TO MY FAMILY SINCE IT CAN NOT BE CHARGED OR HOUSED IN MY GARAGE. THIS CAR WAS LEASED FOR ITS HYBRID OPTIONS FOR MY TRAVEL TO WORK - BASICALLY I AM PAYING FOR A FEATURE I CAN NOT USE. I ALSO WORRY ABOUT MY FAMILY DRIVING IN IT AS WELL. I WAS NEVER INFORMED BY ANY CORRESPONDENCE FROM STELLANTIS REGARDING THIS RECALL - IT WAS DISCOVERED BY MY OWN RESEARCH FROM NEWS ARTICLES. THERE IS NO IMMEDIATE REMEDY AND STELLANTIS REFUSES TO RELEASE ME FROM MY LEASE. THIS PROBLEM WAS CONFIRMED BY THE DEALERSHIP I LEASED THE VEHICLE FROM. THIS SUV IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION AT ANY TIME | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | On 11/1/2025 my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe lost propulsion in a middle of a left turn do to a recall that was sent to me 4 days prior. The jeep completely stopped and caused another person to rear end me. The recall has since been fixed but my damages have not yet been fixed. I was in an accident due to this Jeep recall and I now have damage to my vehicle and a ticket from the police for stopping in the middle of an intersection. I opened a case with jeep customer care 2 weeks ago and haven’t since received ANY update. I need assistance because nobody is taking accountability or fixing anything. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Towed | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact noticed on the Mobile App, that the battery was charging every 3–5 hours. In addition, the contact stated that the failure had started immediately after a service appointment with the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the contact was informed that parts were not available to repair the vehicle. In addition, the contact was informed that a diagnostic test was needed, but because the parts were not available, the vehicle could not be repaired. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System) and NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V766000 (Engine); however, parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer for a diagnostic test. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 12,000 |
| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, there was an abnormally strong burning odor coming from the vehicle after driving. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V576000 (Electrical System), 25V741000 (Electrical System), and 25V766000 (Engine); however, the parts to perform the recall repairs were not yet available. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,417. | Crash: No Fire: No | 4,417 |
| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | My vehicle is affected by Recall 25V-741 (FCA recall 68C), which involves a risk of high-voltage battery fire due to potential internal separator damage. FCA’s NHTSA filing instructs owners to refrain from recharging the battery and to park the vehicle away from structures or other vehicles until a remedy is available. The recall remedy is not available. FCA Customer Care advised me by phone that the vehicle is “safe to drive in e-save mode unless symptoms appear,” which contradicts the recall notice because the defect can cause a fire without warning or symptoms. This vehicle automatically recharges the high-voltage battery through regenerative braking and engine charging, making it impossible to comply with the instruction to “refrain from recharging.” During another discussion, a technician also told me that the “stop sale has nothing to do with the safety of the vehicle” and advised me to “drive normally.” When I asked about the prior cases where vehicles covered by this recall had caught fire, the technician replied, “Well, they’re still around, right?” This guidance minimizes the documented fire risk and contradicts the official recall filings. The vehicle cannot be safely used or stored under normal conditions, and no interim solution or transportation has been provided. The dealer stated they were instructed by the manufacturer’s warranty team not to assist and reiterated that no remedy exists. I am reporting the unsafe and contradictory guidance from the manufacturer and the inability to safely use the vehicle while the recall remains unresolved. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Right after the 73c recall, the high voltage battery is experiencing a drain while sitting. Typically the longer it sits after it has been charged, the more depletion it experiences. It is currently at the dealership for this problem. They charged it to 100% on a Friday and was not driven. By Monday, the high voltage battery was at 50%. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact had received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V576000 (Electrical System); the vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the recall repair was performed. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the vehicle shutoff upon exiting the driveway and the battery message was displayed on the instrument panel. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed back to the dealer however, the vehicle failed to duplicate the failure. The contact was informed that since the failure could not be duplicated, the vehicle was safe to drive. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact expressed concerns about the safety of the vehicle despite the dealer stating that the vehicle was safe to drive. The failure mileage was approximately 19,000. | Crash: No Fire: No Towed | 19,000 |
| Nov 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Vehicle will randomly downshift on freeway risking unexpected acceleration and potentially causing a crash. Dealership is unable to rectify issue as of 11/04/2025 | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Lane keep assist and automatic emergency braking turning off on their own at startup. Issue has persisted intermittently in July 2025. Dealership has replaced parts with issue persisting. Vehicle has been in the shop over 40 days for this issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | POWER TRAIN | 10/24 Loss of power while driving. Dash indicated vehicle was not on. Tried pushing the ignition button but received the message that vehicle could not start unless it was in park. Accessory power continued allowing me to pull to the side of the road. Fortunately I was not on the freeway but on a residential road. Was able to restart after putting the vehicle in park and drove the few blocks to home. Vehicle was operating in Hybrid mode and had 2% left on the battery so it had not switch to ICE mode at the time of the incident. Reported the issue to Jeep and they arranged towing to the dealership. Dealer reports no codes and cannot find an issue. Vehicle is still at the dealer as of 11/1. The September recall was done early in October and since then the hybrid warning light has not come on like it did before the software upgrade. Did not experience a loss of power before the recall software was installed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | SUSPENSION | I am writing to you regarding a persistent creaking noise in the front end of my vehicle when turning the wheel. I have brought the car in twice already for this issue, but the problem has not been identified or resolved. The vehicle is scheduled to come in again for the same issue. While I have been told it is not a safety concern, I am troubled that the source of the noise remains unknown. Without identifying the root cause, I am uncertain how it can be definitively determined that there is no safety risk. I would appreciate it if you could ensure a thorough investigation is conducted to pinpoint and resolve this creaking noise. But, it does not do it when it is warm out. It started around 25,000 miles and we had to wait until it was cooler outside when they could get it back in and really look at it without the outside tempurature affecting the noise. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | I am writing to inform you that I discovered a cracked windshield on my car yesterday after work. I had driven the car for lunch earlier in the day, and the windshield was not cracked at that time. I believe this may be a stress crack. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | On 10/19/2025, my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe experienced a serious electrical malfunction. When I attempted to start the vehicle, it became stuck in RUN mode and would not shift into Drive. The vehicle also would not shut off — even after pressing the start/stop button multiple times. The hybrid system remained active, and the dashboard stayed illuminated. The only way to power the vehicle down was to disconnect the 12-volt battery manually. This created a significant safety concern, as the vehicle could have remained running unattended or in an enclosed space. Afterward, the check engine light came on. The dealership later stated they “just reset the ECM,” but no explanation was provided for why the vehicle failed to shut off or shift out of Park. This incident indicates a possible defect in the electrical, powertrain, or propulsion control system. It poses a safety risk to occupants and anyone nearby if the issue reoccurs. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Vehicle had recall done for “loss of propulsion” and module replaced. Had vehicle back for 2 days and while driving 55mph, it shut itself off abruptly. Had to find an emergency place to coast to. The display says “service charging system”. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN | The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended or to exceed 20 MPH. The contact stated that several warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had occurred several times, and the vehicle had been taken to the dealer on several occasions for repairs. The contact stated that the safety features of the vehicle were inoperable. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, the contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V576000(Electrical System). The manufacturer was made aware of the failures, and a case was filed. The contact had also filed a Lemon Law complaint. The failure mileage was unknown. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES | From vehicle start, traveled approximately 1.5 miles at top speed of approximately 25mph, applied brakes and came to a complete stop at stop sign to make left hand turn. A couple brake pumps to inch closer to ensure all clear. Once clear and removed foot from brake and attempted to accelerate into left hand turn vehicle accelerated approximately a 2-4 feet while in drive, auto park and emergency brakes abruptly engaged. Disabling the vehicle from movement, and locking gear knob from movement. Removed emergency brake and attempted to return car in drive with foot applied to brake, gear knob was still locked and would not engage. Turned off car and turned back on and gear engaged as normal. All of this took place while in oncoming traffic lane. Thankfully the oncoming traffic stopped and waited for me to move my vehicle. This could have been a critical accident. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Brakes Locked up/auto parking brake engaged, yes available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Yes, thankfully oncoming traffic stopped. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Awaiting appointment date. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Awaiting appointment date. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes, I was in a state of panic and could only remember seeing something about the parking brake engagement. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | This Jeep does not get the fuel milage it is suppose too (19 city and 26 hwy). It has a rough idle and almost dies when air condition is on at a stop sign or red light. The valves chatter no matter what octane of gasoline you use. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Driving on highway( no other cars or overpass in area) and sunroof on 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee exploded. Sounded like a shotgun going off, then loud flapping sound . Fortunately the Sun visor was closed or the shattered glass would have caused serious injury to driver & passengers, and could have resulted in serious or even fatal accident. The noise of the explosion scares you & could cause you to have an accident, especially if the sun viser over the sunroof had not been closed. Caused me to have to get to side of road in a construction area at night, not a safe situation. Reported to dealer next morning, were told Chrysler would have to review to see if covered. This vehicle is less than 1 yr old! No warning and no previous problems with sunroof. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Radio screen flickers and audio skips in the vehicle and causes a distraction while driving. It is sometimes a half screen flicker, full screen flicker, flickers multiple times, sometimes flickers like a strobe light. Very distracting. Had flickering radio screen replaced in vehicle by dealer who seemed familiar with the issue. Issues continued after replacement and now the music skips too. The music will sometimes skip once or twice occasionally like a CD. Otherwise is is a constant skip and you need to pull over to either restart the car or restart the radio by going through multiple levels of settings on the vehicle radio. Dealer said would need to wait for a software update. This was around April of this year. It’s September and the issues continue. Called dealer and there are no updates on this. At the same times since inception of issue I have been in contact with the manufacturer who has offered no solutions or care in the issue. Wrote a letter to the company during the spring of this year and do not receive a reply. The issue continues today and probably first noticed it at the beginning of 2025. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | I have been having this error message appear intermittently in the car upon starting the vehicle since I purchased the vehicle in August 2024. See attached photo. The message appears seconds after starting up and will go away. Lane keep assist will turn off but I can turn it back on. Additionally, I have had a similar occurrence in multiple occasions while driving where these systems will turn off and present an orange light on the dashboard. I’m not able to turn the systems back on when this happens. It will reset itself after turning the car on and then off. I have had it in the dealer for this. The explanation was if the battery is below 80% charge this will happen. Seems like a weird response. You would think that if it happens once when the battery is allegedly under 80% charge, if you immediately turn off the car, and restart it ( not giving the car time to charge) it would happen again. I have tested that and it appears untrue. Appears to be some sort of software or sensor issues within the car. I have seen this issue online and the dealer seemed familiar with it on other cars. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES | The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While the contact's husband was driving 80 MPH, the liftgate independently unlatched. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact's overnight bag flew out of the back of the vehicle. The contact stated that her prescription medications were in the overnight bag. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while her husband was driving in heavy traffic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 14,225. | Crash: No Fire: No | 14,225 |
| Sep 2025 | STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Sudden loss of power steering. After starting car, Codes came up immediately for backup sensor needing service, then loss of power steering needing service, check engine light and flashing mileage on dashboard. Currently at dealership waiting for assessment. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I was driving with my three children in the car (including a newborn) on Monday, September 15th and was in the drive thru at the bank when my Jeep just froze. I luckily had placed it in park but it would neither turn on nor turn off - it was locked and I couldn't do anything to it. Right before it died it said "service hybrid system" and while it was in the weird not on but not off state, the battery icon was illuminated - even though the car was on. I called Stellantis for a tow because I was stuck - however they told me if they couldn't get it into neutral they couldn't tow it. After about 45 minutes the Jeep finally allowed me to turn it off and turn it back on, but I was terrified driving it home. My husband took it to Findlay Jeep in Post Falls on Wednesday, September 17th to see what the error code was and they said something about a cooling system error for the hybrid electrical system. We are taking it to Dishman Dodge on Monday September 22nd because that is the dealership we purchased from and they didn't have a technician who knew how to work on the hybrid system until then. I am also concerned about the current active recall for the propulsion system that has no current fix. I use this vehicle to carry my children around and now there are multiple safety concerns that can have lead to a fatal accident. I have filed a buyback request from Jeep because we have this vehicle on a lease - FCA Case #94280851. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | On 7/14/25, While driving 70mph on interstate, vehicle shut off, displayed service hybrid electric system, then came back on like normal. Today, 9/19/25, driving 60mph on highway, vehicle shut off, displayed service hybrid electric system and would not turn back on. I had to come to a complete stop on berm, shift to park, and restart vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
