Date Component Summary Severity Mileage
Nov 2025 SERVICE BRAKES ABS system activated when I hit a bump of any kind and I'm slowing down, like a speed bump, a 1/2"edge on my curb as I enter my driveway a little faster than usual. Or exit a long drive at that is dry and lower than the sidewalk and tires flyi over the edge of sidewalk and it activates pumping the brages repeatedly. Dates have been recent and a while ago. 11-25-25 and I don't have exact dates but probably 2 months ago and 4 months ago and 6 months ago and even 1 year ago. I took to the dealer but they said they couldn't recreate it so the couldn't fix anything. That was early on. I thought I was going to hit my garage door because it prevented me from stopping faster. It disengages my ability to use the brakes. They don't activate when being slammed on just when the road is rough. I looked in forums and many others have this issue. Please got it I hate it and it makes me want to return the vehicle because I don't feel safe when it happens.

Nov 2025 SERVICE BRAKES There has been several occasions where I am coming up to a corner or to a stop light and when I brake and, there is an area of 'washboard' or pot holes, the brakes stop working. I took the vehicle into the dealership (7/24/2025) and told them about the breaking issue and they were able to replicate the issue, but they do not have a fix for it. It is very disconcerting when this happens and the car doesn't stop right away.

Nov 2025 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL When driving over bumps, potholes, or railroad tracks with the breaks being pressed, the brakes would pulsate and causing vehicle to stop at a further distance. Due to taking longer time to slow down and stop, I almost hit another vehicle in front of me.

Nov 2025 SERVICE BRAKES I have owned the 2024 Hyundai Palisade for 11 months. On average, I experience at least twice a month an issue with the braking system when coming to a stop. It appears mainly associated with uneven road or where loose gravel or asphalt maybe on the roadway. The vehicle's frontend vibrates and the brakes do not grab and hold. I have to release the brake pedal and then reapply the brakes, all the while my vehicle is continuing moving forward. Today, I was coming up to a stop light and almost went into cross traffic.

Oct 2025 SEAT BELTS,SEATS I’m writing to report a serious safety concern with my 2024 Hyundai Palisade (VIN: [XXX] ). The second-row seat belt on the passenger side does not retract or stay secure properly. It often remains loose or gets stuck when pulled, and sometimes won’t tighten back automatically. I brought my vehicle to the dealership, but they said they couldn’t replicate the issue. I recorded a video clearly showing the problem, which I am attaching to this message. This is extremely concerning to me because I have young children who sit in the second row, and I’m worried the seat belt could fail to protect them in an accident. It’s very scary as a parent to see a safety feature not working correctly in such a new vehicle. Additionally, the rear charger port doesn’t work properly — the dealer said it’s due to using a non-Hyundai phone charger, but the issue happens with multiple certified chargers and different devices. After checking online, I learned that Hyundai has an active seat belt recall (#283) for Palisade models (2020-2025), and my vehicle seems to fall within the affected range. I am requesting a case number and for this issue to be investigated under that recall and warranty coverage. Please confirm receipt of this message and let me know how to send or upload the video evidence for your review. I’d also like a follow-up from a regional case manager, as this is a potential safety defect involving children. Thank you for your attention and for helping ensure my family’s safety. Oct 2025 STRUCTURE Windshield trim on driver’s side A pillar has failed (come loose) multiple times causing a rattling noise to be present when driving at high speeds. After trim, brackets, rivets (to include larger rivets), and windshield have all been replaced multiple times, the noise is still present. It goes away in cold weather, leading to believe that the issue is with the frame of the vehicle.

Oct 2025 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING There have been many times when driving, specifically over bumpy ground, but it has also happened over smooth/dry ground, where it feels like the anti-lock brakes suddenly kick in when they are not supposed to causing an inability to brake. You have to take your foot off the brake and brake again. This has caused several close calls of rear-ending someone or running through a stop sign or light. You must be keenly aware that this sudden braking inability/shaking of car, etc may happen and there always needs to be a lot of room in front of you. I mentioned it to the dealer, they noted there was nothing they can do but that they have reported it to Hyundai and Hyundai is aware and they have had other complaints. It has not been reproduced or inspected by anyone else at this time. I have not had any warning lamps or messages.

Oct 2025 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES These vehicles are a hazard to the driver, passengers and others on the road. I have been experiencing regular failures of the brakes, which failed to stop the vehicle when and where intended. Always at speeds below 20mph, uneven pavement/surface, the vehicle experiences strong vibrations in the front, shakes violently and skids forward for a few yards uncontrollably. Brake pedal is unresponsive and must be slammed as hard as possible to have any effect on stopping the vehicle. I have been in near collision situations several times already, where I rolled onto the road with incoming traffic or almost rolled into the intersection. The vehicle is at the dealership for a month if not longer by now, for the third time and Hyundai corporate refuses to provide any solution. NHTSA and DOT MUST open a proper investigation into this. Hyundai refuses to solve it, has no solution and yet fails to recognize the defect and issue a recall or do anything about it. Fed government MUST step in ASAP.

Oct 2025 SUSPENSION,POWER TRAIN,SERVICE BRAKES at low speeds on bumpy surfaces the entire front end, (brakes and suspension), sometimes shakes heavily when brakes are applied. Shaking is so severe that brakes have to be released then reapplied. When dealer was advised during a normal service the advisers claimed to have no knowledge of the issue. I had advised before visiting for the service however no action was taken by them. I shall visit another Hyundai dealer in the immediate future to attempt a resolution.

Oct 2025 SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle vibrated and failed to stop as intended. In addition, the contact noticed an abnormal sound before the vehicle slid while stopping. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the failure only occurred while driving on uneven pavement. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer several times; however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and a mechanic performed a ride-along with the contact and confirmed the failure. The vehicle was diagnosed with ABS failure. The contact was informed that the ABS system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the contact was informed that there was no fix for the failure. The contact stated that the failure had occurred seventeen times within six weeks. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 150.

Oct 2025 SERVICE BRAKES When stepping on the brakes on a somewhat bumpy road the brakes will at times stop braking and the car will still keep going unless you take your foot off the brake and step on the brakes again. This is a massive safety issue.

Oct 2025 SERVICE BRAKES We own a Hyundai Palisade that continues to experience unexpected ABS engagement while driving, causing sudden and unsafe braking. This issue has nearly resulted in multiple accidents and poses a serious safety risk to my family and others on the road. The vehicle is currently at the dealership, and we’ve been informed that Hyundai is aware of the problem but does not yet have a fix. It is unacceptable that such a severe safety defect remains unresolved. We urge NHTSA to investigate this issue and hold Hyundai accountable for ensuring a timely and permanent solution.

Oct 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER While closing the front door to the vehicle the back window shattered. Cause is from thermal shock or improper installation of the rear window heating element. I tried to reach out to Billingsley Hyundai of Lawton and they simple stated that they are not able to do window repairs and that it would not be covered under warranty. They didn't even offer to look at the vehicle to diagnose the issue. I have an appointment with Safelife to replace the window. No symptoms were shown prior. We only use the buttons on the rear hatch to open and close it. No manual operation to open and close the rear hatch have been done since owning the vehicle. Safety wise it is a good thing none of our dogs were in the vehicle at the time or the shards of glass would have sprayed onto them. The glass also flew out the back around 2 feet that could have harmed anyone if they were around the vehicle.

Oct 2025 SERVICE BRAKES It was a sunny day with no water around and I was pulling up to a signal and decide to put brakes on and the car didn’t break right away, instead the car slide for at least 10 ft before it came to a stop. This incident wasn’t the first one and has happened in exact same manner at least 3 times. All the times it has scared the driver as the driver doesn’t know if the brake feature works and when this happens the vehicle drags several feet before coming to a stop.
