| Feb 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | On January 12, 2026, the vehicle shut off twice during the same trip while driving in traffic. All dashboard warning lights illuminated, the tachometer spiked, RPM readings did not correspond, the gear selector became unresponsive, and the vehicle lost propulsion while in motion. On February 15, 2026, the vehicle shut off again while driving under similar conditions. The vehicle was taken to a Hyundai dealership for diagnosis. The battery failed a load test and was replaced. According to the repair order narrative, after the battery replacement, the stall condition recurred during dealership testing. Multiple extended road tests and datalogging were later performed. The dealership has stated they are unable to re-replicate the condition and that no active diagnostic codes are present. The vehicle has experienced multiple loss-of-power events while in motion. An intermittent stall while driving presents a significant safety hazard, particularly in traffic conditions. The root cause has not been definitively identified. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | STRUCTURE | The paint on my make and model vehicle has a widespread paint adhesion defect, not isolated to road debris damage. I have reported the issue to my dealer and to Hyundai Customer Care and I have been told that it would not fall under a warranty repair. The paint delamination is extensive enough to lead to structural rust if it is not repaired. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | POWER TRAIN,SEAT BELTS,STRUCTURE | The vehicle has two open safety recalls. Recall 26V034000 – the vehicle does not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 226 for ejection mitigation. There is currently no remedy available. Recall 25V607000 – seat belt buckle may not latch properly, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. The vehicle also had a powertrain fault that triggered the check engine light and it has been at the dealership for more than 30 days for I am concerned about the safety of my famil | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | SUSPENSION | Rear shocks have gone out I am hearing metal on rubber noises dealer had explained issues is common and shock are on back order | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | STEERING | Approximately 4 months after purchasing our 2024 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy we started experiencing a serious steering issue. When driving slow while making turns, either right or left whether going forward or reverse the steering wheel intermittently abruptly stops mid turn and locks with a big bang. It forces me to apply the breaks because I cannot complete the turn. After about 10-15 secs the steering wheel releases with a loud pop, and spins the opposite direction in which I’m trying to turn, leaving the wheels one way and the steering the other. At that point I’m able to regain control of the steering wheel and continue my turn and start driving but on many occasions it has caused me to almost be T-boned by other vehicles when this happens at an intersection or or hit from behind. We have taken the Vehicle to 3 different Hyundai service centers in 2 different states in the last 23 months. All claim they’re not able to replicate the issue and to bring it back if it continues which we have. It’s currently in service and has been for 2 1/2 weeks. They informed me that they plan on replacing the steering column but it’s unknown if this will fix the issue. I may still have the same issues which will further put my family at risk of harm or death if it continues and we are hit. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | SEAT BELTS | The contact’s employer owns a 2024 Hyundai Palisade. The employer received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V607000 (Seat Belts); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted and informed that the owner that parts were on backorder. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were on backorder. The owner had not experienced a failure. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Sub-freezing temperatures caused car not be able to start. The battery in this vehicle is less than 3 years old as it was purchased in October of 2023. It displayed a "Check ESC" message, flashed all the lights and I could not hear the engine crank / turn over at all. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | SEAT BELTS | I am submitting this complaint to report a serious safety issue involving the driver’s seat belt buckle in my vehicle. While driving, the driver’s seat belt buckle failed. Specifically, the buckle un latched and it was then unable to re-latch after that. Making it impossible to be securely buckled while driving. There was no previous warning that the seat belt would fail. This occurred while the vehicle was in operation and created a significant safety risk. The failure of a primary safety restraint is extremely concerning, as it compromises the driver’s ability to operate the vehicle safely and increases the risk of serious injury in the event of a collision. This issue appears to be a defect in the seat belt buckle mechanism, not the result of misuse. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | STRUCTURE,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | 1. On several occasions while braking over uneven surfaces, the vehicle would not come to a complete stop, the brake pedals and steering wheel shook violently, and the vehicle continued to propel forward although I had the brakes engaged. This almost caused me to collide with other vehicles. The dealership could not replicate the issue and said it was a normal response. No, that is wrong; This is abnormal and dangerous. But at any rate, there was a safety recall recently to address the same issue that I have been complaining about so I hope it fixes the problem 2. Also, the paint on the roof rails and the door handles are flaking off. The coating and paint on the roof rails is splotchy, rough, and uneven, and the door handles continue to peel horribly. The dealership said corporate and parts denied my warranty request deeming the issue as normal wear and tear when the dealership said it was a paint and workmanship defect. No new vehicle should be losing its paint like this. Me simply opening a door and driving a car should not cause handles and roof rails to peel. It id getting worse. Also in conducting research on the issue, it is found to be a problem others have complained about as well. I have filed several complaints and claims in attempt to get my truck fixed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | POWER TRAIN | Hyundai Palisade fails to shift gears from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd coming from a stop. Engine RPMS continuously shoots up until I put it in park causing a very unsafe environment since I had would be forced to stop in moving traffic. Brought car to Hyundai dealership and upon inspection they found internal transmission failure where they removed and replaced with a refurbished transmission. This also causes some concern and have noticed already replication of this issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,SERVICE BRAKES | I just purchased the new 2024 Palisade. We were traveling about 15-20 mph when approaching a stop sign when I pressed the brakes the ABS braking system went on and I could not stop the car. The car seemed to learch forward while the ABS braking was going on and the car did not stop in time and we traveled into the middle of the intersection. Good thing the driver coming from the cross street slammed on his brakes and did not hit us. The road we were traveling on was a little rough and bumpy at the point the ABS engaged when I was breaking. The braking after the incident seemed to be normal operation. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | SEAT BELTS | The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Palisade. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V607000 (Seat Belts); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that upon further inspection, the second-row seat belt buckles failed to latch closed as intended unless excessive force was used, and the seat belt occasionally independently unlatched. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 35,000 |
| Dec 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Automatic emergency braking. Vehicle has had several instances of slaming on brakes for no reason. Last time we were traveling about 35 miles per hour with a vehicle traveling behind us when system slammed on brakes locking them up and bringing us to a complete stop. We were traveling in the dark, in a rough road in a construction zone. No warnings lamps or messages. Scared us very bad. We are having the vehicle checked the next time we have in for service. Seat belts not fixed as of last service 10/25/25, per dealer no remedy available at this time. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | SEAT BELTS | Dealer advised us to continue driving with a defective seatbelt. Hyundai Customer Care disconnected the call when we attempted to discuss the safety risk and did not offer a loaner or temporary vehicle. Parts unavailable for months. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES | During a routine inspection at Ron Marhofer Hyundai in Akron, OH on November 22, 2025, the technician reported that both the front and rear brake caliper brackets on my 2024 Hyundai Palisade were “caliper bracket dry.” The inspection sheet also included the following warning from the dealership: “If not replaced, the brake caliper will fail, causing a dangerous condition where either the vehicle will not stop or will pull severely to one side when it does.” This was found on a 17-month-old vehicle with about 33,540 miles. Brake caliper slide pins and brackets should not be completely dry on a vehicle this new unless something was defective in the lubrication, assembly, or materials. The dealership confirmed the condition, provided photos, and gave a repair estimate. I contacted Hyundai Consumer Affairs and the case was escalated several times, but Hyundai ultimately declined to cover the repair, even with the dealer’s written statement that the calipers may fail and the vehicle may not stop. Based on the age of the vehicle, the dealer’s warning, and the nature of the problem, this is a premature brake system defect that creates a real safety risk to me and others on the road. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES | ABS system activated when I hit a bump of any kind and I'm slowing down, like a speed bump, a 1/2"edge on my curb as I enter my driveway a little faster than usual. Or exit a long drive at that is dry and lower than the sidewalk and tires flyi over the edge of sidewalk and it activates pumping the brages repeatedly. Dates have been recent and a while ago. 11-25-25 and I don't have exact dates but probably 2 months ago and 4 months ago and 6 months ago and even 1 year ago. I took to the dealer but they said they couldn't recreate it so the couldn't fix anything. That was early on. I thought I was going to hit my garage door because it prevented me from stopping faster. It disengages my ability to use the brakes. They don't activate when being slammed on just when the road is rough. I looked in forums and many others have this issue. Please got it I hate it and it makes me want to return the vehicle because I don't feel safe when it happens. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES | There has been several occasions where I am coming up to a corner or to a stop light and when I brake and, there is an area of 'washboard' or pot holes, the brakes stop working. I took the vehicle into the dealership (7/24/2025) and told them about the breaking issue and they were able to replicate the issue, but they do not have a fix for it. It is very disconcerting when this happens and the car doesn't stop right away. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES | When driving over bumps, potholes, or railroad tracks with the breaks being pressed, the brakes would pulsate and causing vehicle to stop at a further distance. Due to taking longer time to slow down and stop, I almost hit another vehicle in front of me. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | [XXX] stalling in the middle of the street multiple times with kids in the car on the highway INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | STRUCTURE | I was driving and the sunroof glass randomly combusted. Nothing hit it, and there were no other cars around. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | SEAT BELTS | The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Palisade. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V607000(Seat Belts); however, part to do the recall repair were not yet available. The contact stated that upon inspection, the contact noticed that the front driver side, front passenger side, rear driver side, middle row rear, and rear passenger’s side belts failed to latch securely as intended. No warning light was illuminated. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not repaired due to the costs. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 30,000 |
| Nov 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES | I have owned the 2024 Hyundai Palisade for 11 months. On average, I experience at least twice a month an issue with the braking system when coming to a stop. It appears mainly associated with uneven road or where loose gravel or asphalt maybe on the roadway. The vehicle's frontend vibrates and the brakes do not grab and hold. I have to release the brake pedal and then reapply the brakes, all the while my vehicle is continuing moving forward. Today, I was coming up to a stop light and almost went into cross traffic. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | SEAT BELTS | we have had the seatbelt come unbuckled twice in second row seat. I am being told by the dealer that there is "no remedy" for this problem. I am also being told to continue to drive my car even though the seat belt buckles may fail in an accident | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | VISIBILITY | The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH on the highway, there was an abnormal booming sound coming from the sunroof, and they discovered that the sunroof glass had shattered. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The sunroof was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer to be replaced. The approximate failure mileage was 14,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 14,000 |
| Oct 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES | ABS System failure at speeds below 30mph/rough surface. ABS system shutters and braking feels as if the vehicle will not stop. Other owners are reporting the same issue, plus no fix yet from Hyundai. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
