The collision warning will show on the dashboard and the car will suddenly slow down to a stop or near stop until I disengage the cruise control and hit the gas pedal. This has happened multiple times while I was driving along a paved road with no other cars or obstacles visible ahead of me. The contact stated that his girlfriend was driving at 65 MPH when the collision avoidance activated and stopped 40 feet before reaching the vehicle in front. The driver noticed a vehicle driving at approximately 50 MPH from the rear and attempted to avoid a collision however the vehicle failed to drive and remained at a halt. As a result, the vehicle was involved in a rear-end collision. No warning lights were illuminated. I thought it was strange that I needed to change the transmission fluid so soon. After the dealer inspected my vehicle, they found that the manufacturer improperly routed/attached a hose that caused the transmission to leak fluid. When driving 65 to 70 mph with cruise control engaged and passing an 18 wheeler, the car randomly suddenly slows to about the speed or the truck when it is about 10 feet from being nose to nose with the truck.
