Dec 2024 STRUCTURE I was in Albemarle, NC on Nov 24-25 and my car was parked outside. My mirror was not cracked when I parked it Sunday night and there was not a vehicle parked next to me. It was 36 degrees outside that morning and there was frost on the car. I drove my car approximately 2 miles and it was cracked. There is no other damage to the car or mirror. I contacted my local Honda dealer to have them fix the issue but they told me this was not a warranty issue and I needed to make a claim on my insurance, which I refuse to do because it was not involved in an accident or incident. I've also filed a complaint with Honda Corp directly. This issue of the side mirror cracking in cold weather appears to be an issue with a lot of 2024 CRV's according to internet searches. The mirror view is now distorted and makes it difficult to view things.

Dec 2024 STEERING,AIR BAGS The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact's daughter attempted to make a left turn while at a stop light; however, the steering wheel failed to operate as needed. Due to the failure, the contact's daughter lost control of the vehicle and crashed into an electrical pole. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. While the contact's daughter suffered emotional distress due to the accident; she did not sustain any physical injuries. A police report was filed. Due to the accident, the vehicle was initially towed to an independent tow lot; the contact then called the dealer who referred the contact to an independent body shop. The vehicle was towed to the body shop where the contact was informed that the steering gearbox worm wheel was defective and was given an estimate for the repair. The contact was later informed that a recall had been placed on the vehicle for NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V744000 (Steering). The independent mechanic referred the contact to the dealer for assistance; however, the dealer offered no assistance. The contact was then referred to the manufacturer and was given a case number. The contact had made numerous attempts to reach the manufacturer about the failure but had yet to receive a response. The vehicle remained in the possession of the independent body shop and had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,500.

Dec 2024 VISIBILITY/WIPER The 2024 Honda CRV windshield wiper do not fully wipe rain water on the driver side, leaving 3" 1/2 on driver pillar that is untouched by the windshield wiper. This reduces driver visibility during rain. Due to this concerns my wife do not feel safe driving this vehicle in the rain or snow.

Dec 2024 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Summary American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (Honda) is recalling certain 2023-2025 multi-model year Honda vehicles. Due to improper production of the high-pressure fuel pump, cracks can form at the solenoid core component of the fuel pump. As a result, a fuel leak can occur in lower mileage vehicles when the high-pressure fuel pump is in operation. Safety Risk If a fuel leak occurs in the presence of an ignition source, the risk of a fire, crash, or injury are increased. However, for this safety risk recall, corrective action is not in place and there is not available part. There is no readily available good part to replace defective high pressure fuel pump and need to wait one month for order by dealers. Who is going to be liable and responsible if anything happens until the part is available? Honda is not addressing my concern and are not willing to deal with it

Dec 2024 SERVICE BRAKES,BACK OVER PREVENTION,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE I leased a 2024 CR-V Sport Hybrid in April 2024. And in early October I backed out of a parking spot. When I applied the brakes there was no response and I back into a parked car. No damage was done to it but I had an estimate of $2000.00 to mine since it was on the hatch back door. I didn't report it because I thought it was my fault. But on Friday Nov. 29, 2024 as I was parallel parking I reversed into the spot and straighten out my vehicle. I put it into gear and started moving forward about six feet slowly. When I went to apply the brakes nothing happened again and I hit my wife’s car in front of me. The CR-V Owners Club has reported a similar incident.

Nov 2024 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE When driving along using the cruise control, the vehicle will suddenly act as it is avoiding a collision. The collision warning will show on the dashboard and the car will suddenly slow down to a stop or near stop until I disengage the cruise control and hit the gas pedal. This has happened multiple times while I was driving along a paved road with no other cars or obstacles visible ahead of me. Fortunately, so far, no vehicle was following me at close range but my car stopping in the middle of the road without warning could easily cause a rear end collision or other severe accident.

The driver noticed a vehicle driving at approximately 50 MPH from the rear and attempted to avoid a collision however the vehicle failed to drive and remained at a halt. As a result, the vehicle was involved in a rear-end collision. No warning lights were illuminated. Nov 2024 POWER TRAIN I took my vehicle in for its' first service. The code displayed was A 1 6 indicating the new to change the oil and change the transmission fluid. I thought it was strange that I needed to change the transmission fluid so soon. After the dealer inspected my vehicle, they found that the manufacturer improperly routed/attached a hose that caused the transmission to leak fluid. The transmission fluid level was LOW on a brand new vehicle with only 10,000 miles at first service. I am curious if this is a common assembly issue.

Nov 2024 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM There’s a recall for a faulty fuel pump. Potential fuel leak. It’s been out for almost a month and no remedy. Not sure if there’s an urgency by Honda but a fuel leak sounds like this needs to be fixed asap.

Nov 2024 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM The fuel injector in my 2024 Honda CR-V malfunctioned, causing severe shaking upon startup, with the "Check Engine" and "Emission System Problem" lights appearing. This incident posed a safety risk, as the engine seemed unstable and power was reduced, potentially affecting vehicle control. The problem has been confirmed by a dealer, who recommended replacing the fuel injector. No other parties (such as insurance or police) have inspected it. These warning indicators first appeared a few days before I took it to the dealer.
