| May 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I bought my brand new 2024 CRV EX-L in March 2024. From day one the driver side mirror has vibrated at speeds of 40 or over. When I’m on the highway at 65-70 it moves so much it blurs the image. It is very difficult to look at the mirror while it moves and at night it is even more dangerous. I took it to the Service Center at Hamilton Honda in Hamilton, NJ and they said they noticed a slight vibration. However, they were not concerned because I could still see through the mirror. It was obvious they were aware and had likely heard of the issue before. Since they had no solution, they made it seem as if it was not a big deal and I should just live with it. Quite a disappointing experience from a serve department. I’ve had Toyotas and a Mazda and was always treated very well by their service departments. Frankly this experience with Honda was the worst. It seems that Honda has had the mirror issue with other vehicles in 2020-2022 and recalls were issued. | Apr 2024 | STEERING,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Honda has all these controls on their steering wheel that can accidentally be turned on, even while driving, and have any of those adaptive functions suddenly start working. For example, twice already I was driving and somehow the "Lane Keeping Assistance" turned on. My steering wheel was shaking and I couldnt control it, get it to stop. It frightened me & the first time I pulled over on the side of the road thinking my cars tie-rods have broken. It did it again last night and I was really frightened. My husband reached over & turned it off. He said I must have turned it on while holding the steering wheel. I had another function "Lane Depature warning" turn on when I was trying to switch lanes. I was fighting with the steering wheel. The paddles on the wheel are also a hazard. I reached for the turn signal & hit a paddle. I dont know what the hell these do & I was freaking out thinking what did I just turn on now that we make me lose control of the car. These functions should not be something that can be turned on once the car is started. I have never had any issues with cruise control on any car I own. I really do not like this car. I'm scared. I will need to drive my husbands mercedes because I fear the Honda CRV. I cant return the car. How many people have been in accidents or killed because they functions can turn themselves on without the driver knowing they did. This is not a nuisance, this is a accident waiting to happen. | Apr 2024 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | Honda CRV Hybrid, 6 months old, purchased new from the dealer. The car was parked on level ground. I started the car, shortly after I shifted it into reverse. Reverse camera turned on and the audible reverse sound turned on. I let go of the brake, car drove forward. I applied the brake, shifted into drive, then back into reverse. When I let go of the brake I had the same issue, the reverse camera turned on and the audible reverse sound turned on but the car moved forward. The steering was stiff as well. The adhesive has failed causing the hood to flutter when you go over bumps or when you are on the highway. I am not sure but if the conditions are right, can the hood become detached from the supports and peel back or rip away from the vehicle? The dealer inspected the vehicle and replaced the hood. When this happens it also seems like you have to constantly make small adjustments to steering. This mostly seems to happen after we have been on the road for a while. It first happened 3 weeks ago on a longer drive. Then it happened again last week, again on a longer drive. Also on a shorter drive a couple of weeks ago, but the speeds were higher than in-town, around 50 mph. I took it to the dealer yesterday. I noticed the catching on the drive down, but it was not continuous, as it was the other times.
