| Jul 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES | GM is recommending that I replace my brakes for the 3rd time within 30,000 miles but cannot explain the irregular wear. I am confident that there is a larger issue causing this is the brakes failing are just a symptom of a larger issue that have failed to address after 6 dealership visits, escalating (twice - due to first advisor never getting back to me) to GM customer care, emailing an executive, regional service manager, and countless hours to fix the safety issue of my brakes (and the larger root cause issue). GM Customer Care Case #[XXX] - BRAKE SAFETY ISSUE 2024 GMC Sierra AT4 (VIN: [XXX]) - 46,000 miles Nov 2023: 1st visit - Brake squeal at 25K. Pads replaced, GM denied warranty. Early 2024: SAFETY ISSUE RETURNED at 30K miles. May 2025: 2nd visit - Worsening brake noise. Dealer couldn't replicate despite video evidence. Recommended $500 repair. Manager acknowledged "irregular/abnormal" wear. June 2025: 3rd & 4th visits - Tech found unexplained "weird line" on pad. Manager Kyle confirmed unusual wear but no root cause identified. June 10: Opened GM case #[XXX] after dealership failures. July 7: GM failed to coordinate promised appointment. July 14: 5th visit - Les Stanford Buick GMC, Ferndale. Tech rode with me, CONFIRMED BRAKE SAFETY ISSUE but offered no solution. CRITICAL SAFETY CONCERN: Recurring brake defect with abnormal wear patterns acknowledged by multiple technicians. Same brake failure pattern occurring 3 times in 18 months poses serious safety risk. Despite 5 dealership visits, video evidence, and confirmed defect, GM refuses warranty coverage while acknowledging the problem exists. Issue remains unresolved - I've exhausted all customer remedies. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jul 2025 | STRUCTURE | 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. While driving approximately 75 MPH, the front chrome grille deflector came loose from the passenger side of the vehicle and started flapping. Before I could safely pull over it became detached and flew over the hood of the vehicle striking the front windshield before nearly hitting another moving vehicle behind me. This caused damage to the hood, the other driver did not stop. While the 2024 model vehicle is not listed in NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V060000 (STRUCTURE) recalled on the 2022 model, GM lists the same part number for the 2022-2024 models, therefore the recall should include these years as well. The failure mileage was 27,500. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2025 | POWER TRAIN | There is an active recall regarding the safety of my vehicle. NHTSA: 25V274 Manufacturer: N252494000 I contacted GM and was told to see a dealer to have my engine replaced. The dealer is refusing to remedy the recall and pointed me back to GM stating that "GM told us not to service this recall because there isn't yet a remedy". I'm stuck with a very unsafe vehicle that is less than 1 year old and the manufacture is refusing to honor their own recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jul 2025 | ENGINE | I recently purchased a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. On July 14, 2025, I was informed of a recall involving the L87 engine and a risk of loss of propulsion. This is a major safety concern that can cause the vehicle to suddenly lose power while driving. I was advised not to drive the truck due to safety reasons, but GM has not released a fix or repair solution for this recall. This issue puts my safety and the safety of others at serious risk, as the vehicle could lose power without warning on the road. I contacted the dealership (Findlay Chevrolet, Las Vegas) and GM directly, but no timeline or resolution has been provided. I am now stuck with a vehicle I cannot legally or safely drive and no support from the manufacturer to resolve the issue. There were no warning lamps or prior symptoms before the recall was issued. The problem has been acknowledged by the manufacturer but remains unresolved. The vehicle has been inspected and the recall confirmed by the dealership, but they stated there is no fix currently available. I am requesting that NHTSA take this seriously and put pressure on GM to either provide a safe solution, a loaner vehicle, or a buyback program until the recall can be resolved. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2025 | ENGINE | Dealership is unable to remedy issue stated on recall notice in a timely manner, I stopped by today and they told me they can’t do it right now and they have no idea when they will be able to so in the meantime drive it, to which I stated just drive it and if the engine fails on me then oh well? And they said yes there’s nothing we can do right now. Ridiculous putting my family’s safety at risk if the engine fails and they won’t even do the inspections | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jun 2025 | ENGINE | I received the vehicle recall from GMC and contacted my dealership to inform them I was having a lagging issue with power in my truck. I inquired if I can bring the truck in to have it looked at under the recall, but was informed that no remedy was provided, and I also have to wait until my VIN# came up for inspection which no date or time frame was available. The next question I ask was can I get a loaner vehicle based on the recall which can cause an accident with engine propulsion failure. The local dealership and GM failed to provide a loaner vehicle which I feel unsafe driving my current vehicle. I also asked the dealership if GM is willing to buy the vehicle back from me and yet again, no response. Local dealership is Heritage Buick GMC of Rockwall Texas. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Intermittently there isn't any sound from informational center speakers, this includes not sound of the turn signal indicators working. No sound from any vehicle component, vehicle has the current software release from GM. the only way I've found to get sound again is to leave the vehicle set not running for some period of time, short off then back on doesn't seem to clear the issue. I've check with the dealer and from what I understand this is a known issue with 2024 & 2025 GM informational centers. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jun 2025 | ENGINE | I am filing a formal complaint against GMC and R.B. Fries GMC regarding a catastrophic engine failure that occurred in my 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali just over a month after purchase, with only 1,188 miles on the vehicle. The engine completely failed and had to be fully replaced. I contacted GMC and submitted a claim seeking a buyback or replacement under the Lemon Law and warranty protections. My claim was rejected, and I was offered no resolution, despite the seriousness of the failure and the fact that it occurred under normal use and well within the warranty period. This alone was unacceptable, but the situation has worsened. The truck is now experiencing additional issues, and I have scheduled an appointment with Eynon GMC (earliest available: June 23, 2025, scheduled through Karen). In the meantime, I am reaching out to other GMC dealers in hopes of getting service sooner, as I no longer trust this vehicle at all. This has been the worst automotive experience I’ve ever had. I expected a reliable product and proper customer support for a brand-new truck, especially one marketed as premium. Instead, I am left with serious concerns for my safety and financial loss. All communication is attached, and I do have witnesses for my claims including phone conversations with service and sales. As of today, I was again told by a phone call from GM that they will offer me nothing. The dealer I purchased it from has not responded. The Truck if I can find someone to take it on a trade (as most are refusing-even GMC dealers) are offering over 10K less than paid. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Subject: Urgent Safety Complaint Dear GMC Customer Service, I hope this message nds you well. I am formally reporting a serious safety issue with my GMC vehicle. The car has experienced multiple dangerous incidents due to likely electrical or software faults, losing power suddenly on two occasions while driving. This is especially concerning given the low mileage of 20,000 km and that the vehicle is still under warranty. Vehicle Information: • Model: GMC Sierra SLE, 2024 • VIN: [XXX] • Current Mileage: 20,000 km Description of the Problem & History: 1. First Incident (At 3,000 km): o The vehicle completely shut down due to an electrical or system software issue while driving. o The vehicle was towed to the dealer and held for over two weeks for repairs. 2. Second Incident (Recently): o The vehicle again lost functionality; the gear was stuck in 1st gear, and I was unable to manually shift. o This occurred while driving, creating another unsafe situation. o The vehicle was again taken to the dealer for repair, and to date, I have not been informed of the root cause. Actions Taken: The vehicle was brought to Sarhan, UAE (Sharjah), Al Ghandi Auto after the rst incident. Despite inspections and repair attempts, the issue has recurred, indicating it was not resolved. And I am prepared to provide photographic or video evidence if necessary. Additional Context: • The vehicle is less than one year old and has been regularly serviced on time at authorized centers. The recurring issues strongly indicate an underlying reliability or manufacturing defect. Due to the severity and recurrence of these failures, I refuse any further repair attempts. I formally request either a full refund or a replacement vehicle, as this is unacceptable for a new car. Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint promptly and advise on the next steps for a swift resolution. | Jun 2025 | ENGINE | I received a recall notice for my 2024 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate (6.2L engine), related to defective lifters that can cause engine damage. My truck was built in April 2024, and I've been told by some sources that certain 2024s may have the updated lifters, but neither my dealership nor GMC will confirm whether my truck is affected or safe. I’ve asked multiple times for VIN-specific confirmation of the engine components — no one has been able to tell me if my vehicle has the faulty parts or not. I was told to just keep using the oil they recommend or wait for a diagnostic tool GM hasn’t even released yet. That’s not enough. I’m planning to take my family, including my grandchildren, on a long road trip soon, and I don’t feel safe putting them in this truck without answers. For a vehicle that cost over $85,000, I shouldn’t be left guessing whether the engine could fail on the road. I’m filing this complaint because GM is not giving me a straight answer, and I think this is a serious safety concern. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
