| Jul 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | We took our vehicle to Weber Chevrolet in Granite City, Il on June 26 for an oil change. My husband and I purchased the vehicle on [XXX] from this dealership. We asked if they could put a heavier oil in the vehicle due to this being as one of the remedial fixes for the recall. The service department manager informed us that they would not be able to do this due to it voiding our warranty. They could not give a general answer as to when they will address the recall. My husband and I have safety concerns about taking this vehicle cross country for a family vacation at the end of July. We have decided to trade the vehicle in for a different model due to the uncertainty of the recall. Appallingly, no dealership, including the Chevy dealership we bought it from , is willing to take our 9 month old truck as a trade. We were informed by three separate dealerships that the car is basically worthless and they are not willing to have it sit on their lots depreciating until the recall is complete. It is completely unacceptable that we, as consumers, are stuck with a vehicle that has a potential safety risk. The car has already depreciated by $10,000 according to Kelly Blue Book. We have filed a complaint with the BBB, Illinois States Attorney Office, and with General Motors. General Motors informed me on July 2 that they will not address the recall until an issue occurs. If an issue occurs then they will address it at that time. Furthermore , they are not willing to buy the vehicle back, attempt to see if the engine is fine, nor willing to allow us to trade for another GMC vehicle. We are at a loss as far as our safety, loss of investment, and lack of any help from General Motors. I am adding screen shots of my communication with the general manager from Weber Chevrolet, jimmy Mckechan. | Jun 2025 | ENGINE | 6.2 L engine around 7500 miles engine light came on, it was slow to startup, would shutter during idel. Driving home on the highway the truck turned off cruise control and front impact warning then it came back on about 5 miles down the road. At the same time the truck was shaking and shuttering. Took it into the shop the next day and so far is having at least one maybe 2 cylinders misfiring. Also, since I bought it the axle locks keep saying to service them, take the truck to the dealership and they can't find anything wrong with them. The only way to get the indicator to stop dinging incessantly is to active the axle locks and deactivate them and that will make it stop dinging for about a week. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jun 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Valve body needs to be replaced. The truck is still under warranty. I have taken it to the dealership, they ordered the part and told me it was safe to drive in limp mode. I've since been waiting a month for the part to come in without a replacement vehicle. I can't drive to work and am losing quite a bit of business. There is a valve body in stock 97 miles away and GM will not ship it to my local dealer or help me in any way. The truck will not make it 97 miles for the repair. The check engine light stays on for a few days and goes off. I can only drive about 10 miles before it goes into limp mode and the dash will tell me I have reduced acceleration and to drive safely. As far as the safety of me and others UNKNOWN. The dealer has confirmed there is an issue but insists I continue to drive it even though I'm damaging the transmission. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I purchased the Curt Triflex Next Trailer Brake Controller GM Part # 19435732 ( Although may be sold through several part #s) from Jim Norton Chevrolet as this is a GM recommended part through the GM parts catalog and is plug and play with included wiring harness making simple no wire splicing connection. The brake controller we need to tow or travel trailer it worked great for about a month maybe two , then I went to hook up our trailer and the brake controller would not function. So I had a electrician trouble shoot the power and all that checked out good. I contacted CURT for a warranty claim and they stated this is a known issue and they are sending me a new one and I did respond that's spooky what if I was towing and it stops controlling. this could lead to a serious safety issue. I unplugged and it and plugged back in and it started working then stopped again before the next weekend to pull my trailer. again Curt stated via email this is a known issue and sending me a new one when they are in stock , but I had not heard this until I contacted them for warranty claim and still have not received a replacement. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | On 7 or 8 occasions while navigating parking lots/driveway turnaround, i bumped the resume switch on the steering wheel and the truck took off accelerating rapidly from 2-4 mph speed until I disengaged with the brake. Someone with slower reactions or unaware of what is going on is going to get hurt by this. I believe it's tied to collision avoidance system and the adaptive cruise control mode. This system will allow cruise to stay engaged even as it slows you to a halt in, e.g. a rush hour slowdown, but if it slows you to some speed just greater than zero, and the traffic ahead speeds up, it will speed back up to the cruise setting. Similarly, when cruise is disengaged by brake action, but there is still a stored value in cruise control, if you accidentally hit resume at slow speeds the logic is treating it like a traffic situation. So the old 20 or 25mph minimum engagement speed no longer applies. As for why I inadvertently hit resume, it has to do with the raised momentary rocker switch at the 9 oclock position on the steering wheel. If you make a turn with your palm against steering wheel. For example, on a left turn, if the wheel is turning counterclockwise and your left palm is in the 9 o'clock position, it can rub against the raised cruise control rocker triggering the resume function, and off she will go! A flush or recessed button/switch would have been a better choice here. At this point, a software change would be the best solution to ignore the resume function below a certain speed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | POWER TRAIN | New police vehicle on the road for only two months with only 6030 miles on it. Check engine light came on vehicle lost all power, no reverse, transmission would not shift. | Jun 2025 | POWER TRAIN | My Silverado has what seems to be a known issue with recent model Silverados which is a broken/blown valve body at the transmission. The week of the failure, my truck began having rough shifting from first to second gear first thing in the morning, but would be fine after that. Two days later this progressed to all of the gears and nearly stranded me and my kids on the interstate due to not being able to maintain speed. I got the truck to the dealership where they looked up diagnosis code and told me it was the valve body and it would require replacing. Unfortunately, the part is on national backorder with unknown delivery time. Looking online, it seems this is a known issue and parts seems to be months (6+) behind. I am stuck paying for a rental car that GM says I will get reimbursed for, but we will see. To complete the questions above, I did not notice any warning lights or notices until it failed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The contact was aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); for which the VIN was included; however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. | May 2025 | POWER TRAIN | When in Normal Drive mode, an unexpected or accidental bump of the Transmission T-Handle shifter between the seats towards rear of vehicle while at a stop sign or parking lot, etc. will "Lock The Transmission in Low Gear 1 out of 10 available gears". If one pulls out into traffic without noticing this event, the engine will approach redline without shifting into the next gear until the situation is acknowledged and the T-Handle is one again pulled back to reset it into automatic drive mode. This is frustrating and potentially dangerous if the situation is not recognized quickly. I suppose engine damage could be at risk. There is "No save the engine by automatically selecting the next gear if this condition happens. There is also no lockout requiring the T-Handle Shift Button on the side requiring to be pushed to acknowledge the desire to set this mode". I tested similar settings on Honda Pilot and it DOES UPSHIFT even if in this manual mode to protect engine and occupants from this difficult situation. I personally will no longer allow any others to drive my truck until this situation is remedied. It appears to be dangerous to me and my truck for those who have no idea this can occur. Please try it for yourself. Vehicle must be similar to 2024 Silverado High Country w T-Handle shifter between the seats. My hope is an over the air update can remedy this situation. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

As I was driving it on the highway at speeds of 65 mph the vehicle started loosing power and shaking violently in the middle of driving it. Therefore putting my life and other life’s in danger. After a couple miles the Electronic stability control light came on and the traction control light came on. Also the check engine light came on. Vehicle only has 7500 miles and was driven daily without any mistreatment. The dealer confirmed that the vehicle had catastrophic damage. It had metal shavings inside the oil system. The dealer confirmed the next day that it was worse than when I took it in and they weren’t even able to move it to the engine bay. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
