| Sep 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I have been trying to get the turn signal recall fixed on my truck for the past year. After I make a left turn, the turn signal only turns off about 1/2 of the time. The first 4 times I spoke to them both in person and over the phone, they said they were waiting on the part. When I spoke to them last week, the parts guy said he had the part, but I would have to pay for it since the system showed the recall had been fixed. No one has ever even worked on the turn signal, other than to test it, which was at the end of 2024. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I bought a 2023 Ram 1500 brand new off the lot and the vehicle is only less than 3 years old. I was hoping the with me buying a brand new Ram that I would not have a major issue such as the fuel pump failing which caused me to pay $1809.64 out of pocket cost on a practically new vehicle. The fuel pump and the control module were both faulty with the dealer findings. With only 1000 miles over warranty, I think that this does not make since for such a major issue with a practically new vehicle that is not cover under the powertrain warranty. The vehicle has been taken in for regular maintenance. I would appreciate a refund of the amount paid to cover my loss | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | STRUCTURE | Truck sways alot with high winds. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL | The contact owns a 2023 Ram 1500. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle and shifting into reverse(R), the rear-view camera failed to display an image. Additionally, the contact stated that the instrument cluster failed to display pertinent information. The contact stated that occasionally, only the A/C and heating controls and a section of the GPS map were displayed. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the dealer requested that the vehicle be left for three days for additional diagnostic tests. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 17,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 17,000 |
| Aug 2025 | LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES | The contact owns a 2023 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and towing a trailer, there was an abnormally loud sound coming from the vehicle. The contact drove the vehicle to the shoulder of the road and inspected the vehicle. While inspecting the vehicle, the contact became aware that the tailgate had independently unlatched. The contact stated that the tailgate had fallen onto the crank. The contact stated that there were damages to the tailgate and the paint due to the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the contact was informed that the repair was not covered under recall or special programs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact referenced an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 22,550. | Crash: No Fire: No | 22,550 |
| Aug 2025 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | When it is raining, even a moderate amount, the air flow from driving down the road blows/directs the water from the windshield across the drivers window. Making it extemely difficult to see out the window for on coming traffic or to use the drivers side mirror. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Truck did an emergency shut down while backing out of the driveway, would not move out of intersection for over 30 minutes. left blocking road. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES | Factory trailer brake controller does not work as it should. Trailer brake controller has 4 settings in owners manual they are as follows: Heavy over electric, Lite over electric, heavy over hydraulic, lite over hydraulic. My truck only has lite over electric and does not save the trailer as it should in the radio. The radio, BCM and Trailer brake control module has been replaced by Mopar under warranty to see if this fixes the problem. It has not fixed the problem. The dealership has checked all of wiring to see if this is a problem. it has not been to the dealer 8 times still has an open ticket on it. My truck is capable of carrying a load of 10,650 lbs. and needs the heavy tow brake system. I do not understand why Mopar cannot fix this issue. Dealership said that they are not going to do any more work to the vehicle for me to go get a second opinion on this problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Ran over tripod laying in road it flipped up slicing a hole in fuel tank. Tank has no metal cover to protect from road hazzards such as metal striking plastic tank resulting in a hole in fuel tank | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Motor stalled while moving. Transmission automatically went into park , emergency brake was applied all before it came to a full stop. Took to dealership and code P032F came up . When serviced dealership said they can’t find anything wrong.Ram had the same problem with the V8 and came up with a update. Nothing available for the 3.6 L | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2025 | STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | experienced the exact same failure mode as Ram Recall 24V-729 and my truck and model year fall into the affected vehicle models however my VIN # was not included in the recall. My blinkers do not work as exactly described in 24V-729 and Ram refuses to take financial responsibility of this known issue and make me pay for this safety concern especially when its a known safety recall this year and model truck. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2025 | STEERING | Steering column control module went out. Right blinker will not stop and left doesn't work at all. Even in the off position right stays on so I have to put it down to the not working left to stop that but any movement and its starts again. It is a traffic hazard and even though 165,000 Rams were recalled this past year they say its VIN specific and will not cover my $400 repair. My truck is unusable until they repair this. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Driving down the freeway, with no previous issues at 80MPH. Next thing the truck stalls and won't restart. Vehicle jumped and runs when connected stops immediately once unjumped. Replaced battery at 51,000 miles and vehicle runs fine. Concern is the alternator is not strong enough to power the vehicle if the battery dies for mysterious reasons. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | AIR BAGS | The truck has been to the dealer on multiple occasions because I continue to receive airbag system alerts. When the alert comes on a warning displays on the console that the airbag system has malfunctioned. The dealer states the clock spring needs to be replaced. I’ve been waiting since November 22, 2024 for the part. It is now June 27, 2025 and still don’t have the part. I experience the alert on my console at least 3-5 times a week. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The turn signal does not reset. Which there is a recall for already. I have complained about this issue before the recall to Ram and now there is a recall. But on may 8, 2025 the dealership stated they could not recreate the issue so they closed the recall. Now on June 17, 2025, I brought my car in for a windshield wiper fluid issue and they asked me is there anything else they should check out. I chuckled and said yea, but ram won't fix it. I told them about the turn signal they said they would check it out. This dealership was able to recreate the issue but since the 1st dealership closed the recall out and marker "complete" i now have to pay for the the fix and try to submit a claim through mopar/stellantis. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The Connected Services system in my 2023 Ram TRX regularly displays large, full-screen alerts for emergency vehicles, tow trucks, and lane closures — often when there is no actual hazard present. These alerts are extremely distracting and dangerous. They: Block the entire screen, hiding navigation, camera, and HVAC controls and leaving the screen black until the user interacts with it multiple times to put it back on navigation. Require multiple presses to clear, forcing interaction while driving. Often reactivate within seconds, creating a loop of screen interference. Have triggered during merging, construction zones, heavy traffic, and when passing emergency vehicles or tow trucks, where focus is critical and lives are at risk. Occur falsely 80%+ of the time — no hazard is nearby. Cannot be disabled, according to Stellantis. These alerts violate basic safety interface principles by forcing unnecessary, repeated interaction in active driving conditions, forcing distracted driving. The system is overly aggressive, not user-configurable, and poses a significant distraction risk. Numerous owners on Ram forums have reported similar experiences, including repeated false triggers in the same areas. I am requesting NHTSA investigate this system. Stellantis should be required to: Offer a toggle to disable or limit alert pop-ups. Redesign the alerts to be non-obstructive and passive, or limit them to actual verified hazards. Until addressed, this is a serious safety issue affecting many drivers. I have video evidence of the issue occurring that I can provide. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | I have replaced, via warranty, 3 cylinders that have failed within 10,000 miles of the vehicle. This causes my truck to shutter and not accelerate properly. The shop tells me this has been an ongoing problem, however it is not being addressed by Stalantis. Not requesting to do anything for my situation, however it needs to be investigated. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES | On 3 separate occasions the truck has completely broken down while traveling 60-84mph. Each time, while in motion, the check engine and battery lights come on on the gauge cluster. Voltage starts rapidly draining from the battery indicator before systems start being shut down. Fiirst is entertainment, then climate, the ABS, then steering, and then all power and engine loss. I almost lost control the first time while trying to make it safely over to the soft shoulder. Each of the three times this had happened, the truck was completely dead in the side of the road and was towed to a dealership three times. The truck was towed to 2 different dealerships. The first two times to Imperial Dodge where they charged the battery the first time and did a software update the second time. Most recently the truck had been at DCH Temecula, for two weeks, where nothing has been done due to them not being able to recreate this issue. They recommended that I take video, while driving, as the issue happens live. This is a major safety issue in general but unacceptable that the manufacturer and dealerships only solution is for me to put myself and my family in jeopardy, and break California law, to diagnosis this massive unsafe vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | SEAT BELTS | Passenger side seatbelt unbuckles spontaneously while driving. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,STRUCTURE,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Tailgate unlatched one its own when I was backing up. It dropped and struck another vehicles bumper. Tailgate is smashed now. I was watching the back up camera and the tailgate was closed. It electronically opened itself and dropped down with me doing anything. | Crash: Yes Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | My left blinker randomly comes on but if I turn on the right signal the left goes off and right doesn't work and will eventually work normally again | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Related to auto start/stop. When coming to a stop, vehicle shuts off while still moving at 2-3 mph. Not just occasionally but EVERY time. Also, cannot park or put into reverse without vehicle shutting off too early, just to restart itself before going onto park or reverse. Took the vehicle in for recalls but did not change how auto start/ stop functions. Dealer could not replicate. Still to this day doing same thing. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2025 | ENGINE | There have been multiple failures from the injector in multiple cylinders resulting in hesitation and shaking in the vehicles. My understanding is that many of the maintenance shops have had to replace this exact component in many 1500's due to its failure. I was informed that Stellantis has been informed, however refused to issue a recall or redesign the unit. Also, they are not covering it under the power trane warranty, even thought the engine won't run without a fully functioning injector. Yes this is a safety issue because of the hesitation it causes, therefore putting you in harms way when pulling out in traffic. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I have a 2023 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 12” Uconnect/ infotainment/ telematics system. The system only works for a minute possibly 2 minutes if I am lucky. The whole system shuts off which takes away my bluetooth capabilities, backup camera, all sound systems. My ability to access all safety features on my vehicle. For the not so safety problems, the heat and cooling is just a guessing game. I have no access to use the heated seat or steering wheel features in a brand new vehicle (I lived where it gets -40 degrees fahrenheit when I got this truck.) It also does not allow my cluster gauge to show time, or temperature. This truck has been in and out of the dealership to be worked on for this specific problem more than 3 times. They have replaced the whole system 4 times and replaced a ton of other parts and pieces, and running many diagnostics on it. It has now been at the dealership for over 30 days with no success. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | This vehicle was built during the Covid 19 Pandemic. The windshield is leaking at a faulty windshield seal causing water to leak from the headliner onto the driver which will distract the driver causing a safety issue. This 2023 Ram was purchased in June 2024 and is under the 3/36 warranty. The Ram dealership confirmed the leaking seal gasket but would not honor the warranty. Dealership said any glass issues are only covered for 12 months. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
