| Oct 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I am writing to express my serious concern regarding the unresolved safety recall 95B affecting my Jeep Wrangler. As a parent, my children’s safety is my utmost priority, and knowing that the battery—a component at risk due to this recall—is positioned directly under their seats has made me extremely uneasy. I no longer feel confident or safe driving this vehicle with them inside. Despite the recall, I have been informed there is currently no remedy available. This lack of a solution leaves me without a secure vehicle and heightens my concerns over the risks associated with continuing to drive it. Additionally, my request for a buyback has been denied, which is disheartening given the absence of an available remedy and the potential safety hazards involved. I am seeking immediate assistance and a resolution that prioritizes the safety of my family. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Oct 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] Oct 21 2014 National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) 1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE West Building Washington, DC 20590 Subject: Urgent Safety Concern and Financial Loss Related to 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe – VIN: [XXX] ] Dear NHTSA, I am writing to formally report a significant safety concern and financial hardship I have experienced as a result of owning a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe, VIN: [XXX] ]. On [XXX], while the vehicle was charging at [XXX], it caught fire. The vehicle had no pending services or recalls at the time of the incident. To my further dismay, in October 2024, Jeep issued a global recall for this model, citing battery issues. This only confirms my suspicion that the fire in my vehicle was the result of a manufacturing defect. Given the timing of the recall, I believe my incident is directly related to this defect, and the issue raises significant safety concerns. The total cost of my vehicle was approximately $78,454, and I have only driven it for about 15,000 miles. After filing an insurance claim, I was offered $45,215, which does not adequately cover the financial loss I have incurred. This leaves me at a significant financial deficit. Additionally, I have been renting a car for the last six weeks due to this incident, which has further cost me approximately $36,000. I have contacted Jeep’s customer support and created a case (number: [XXX]), but despite my efforts, I have yet to receive any meaningful response or resolution from Jeep. This situation has caused not only significant financial strain but also immense mental stress. I urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue thoroughly and ensure that Jeep takes responsibility for their defective vehicles. I am seeking compensation that appropriately reflects the financial losses I have suffered, ideally in the form of either a replacement INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: Yes | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | My vehicle was impacted by NHTSA Recall 24V-720. FCA has done nothing to fix the problem and has no forecast for the parts or repairs. Meanwhile, I cannot charge my $60K vehicle, or park it at my house. I have been trying to reach FCA for 3 days now and nobody answers their phone calls either. This is the worst customer service on a safety issue that I have ever seen. I know most Jeep owners are just continuing to drive and charge their Jeeps because otherwise, you have no vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The High Voltage battery pack in my vehicle may have been built with cells that are susceptible to separator damage. Separator damage, combined with other complex interactions within the cells, may lead to a vehicle fire. A vehicle fire can result in increased risk of occupant injury and/or injury to persons outside the vehicle, as well as property damage. Vehicle risk is reduced when the battery charge level is depleted. Accordingly, owners are advised to refrain from recharging. Out of an abundance of caution, FCA US is also advising owners of these vehicles to park away from structures or other vehicles until the remedy is obtained. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. There is an open recall on the defect, however there is no remedy currently available. Due to the severity of the defect and the inability to use the vehicle as intended, including safely parking the vehicle or recharge the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, I believe the terms of my lease agreement have been breached by Chrysler and I wish to return the vehicle and terminate the lease without penalty. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Oct 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The dealership states there are NO active recalls on the vehicle. I’ve taken it in multiple times for the same complaints but they always say they “cannot reproduce” the issue and brush me off. This vehicle seems to have something wrong with the transmission and is often jumpy during acceleration and often times struggles with the braking process. It almost seems like it’s getting a burst of acceleration that I have to fight against while braking. It has been quite scary at times. I have stopped charging the vehicle bc the charger gets incredibly hot near the handle, even when I use public chargers. One time the vehicle died while I was driving at approximately 55 miles per hour. The dealership stated it was bc I was “low on gas” and blew it off as user error. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Sep 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | On July 15th , July 30th and August 11th 2024 the gas pedal on my less than 2 month old Jeep Wrangler 4xE did respond / engage while driving and pressing on the pedal. It felt like the car was dying. This happened at three different speeds, 65mph on the highway, 30mph on a side road and around 40mph on a state road. In addition to the gas pedal not working/ vehicle not moving forward the vehicle also seemed to slow it self down, like i was breaking however i was not and as the vehicle slowed down it was shaking vigorously all 3 times. This is incredibly dangerous and unsafe. I contacted over 20 jeep dealerships and jeep corporate before I was able to get an appointment - this vehicle was looked at by a dealership and I have been told they 'have no codes' and 'everything is fine' In addition to the loss of power, gas failure, non responsive gas pedal I have counted over 10 incidences where this vehicle has a delay in acceleration of 3 - 8 seconds before lurching and jerking forward at various speeds, some of the times vehicle has also shaked other times the jerking is so severe if feels like you've been rear ended. Jeep is not taking these concerns seriously, I am reporting in hopes that you will and maybe others have reported similar issues and we can get some answers and repairs figured out as this car is unsafe and I do not want me or my children to be a statistic of a horrible accident that should have been a recall / fix issued by jeep. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
