Nov 2024 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Recall 95B. I have been given the runaround for months on the status of this recall from the FCA recall center and Jeep. I purchased a hybrid Jeep 4xE with the main purpose of being able to run both electric and gas. However, jeep is telling me not to charge the vehicle, do not park it in the garage, and to make sure that it’s not parked near any structures because of explosion/fire hazard! This is completely unacceptable to not have a resolution for such a major concern in a timely manner.

Nov 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VISIBILITY/WIPER Complaint Regarding Recall 24V720000 – Jeep Wrangler 4xe (2023 Model) I am filing this complaint regarding the recall of my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] - under Recall Number 24V720000, issued due to a potential fire risk. This defect represents a severe safety hazard that jeopardizes the safety of my family, property, and others. Details of the Issue: The recall was issued due to a defect in the hybrid powertrain that could result in a fire, even when the vehicle is parked and turned off. Jeep/Stellantis has advised owners to: •Refrain from charging the vehicle. •Park it away from structures and other vehicles. This advisory alone highlights the gravity of the issue, rendering the vehicle unsafe to use as intended. Steps Taken to Remedy: •I have contacted my dealership and Stellantis to schedule a repair; however, no remedy has been made available to date. •It has become clear that Stellantis is unable to provide a timely or effective solution to fix this safety-critical defect. Lemon Law Qualification: California Lemon Law, under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, provides protections for substantial defects that impair the use, value, or safety of a vehicle. The following criteria are met: 1.Substantial Safety Defect: A fire risk qualifies as a substantial defect that threatens the safety of occupants and property. 2.Reasonable Repair Attempts: Despite the recall, Stellantis has not resolved the issue, and the vehicle remains unusable for its intended purpose. 3.Unresolved Issue: My vehicle has been effectively out of service due to safety concerns, and Stellantis has been unable to provide a timeline for resolution. Request for Buyback: Given the seriousness of this defect and the inability to remedy it, I am requesting that Stellantis initiate a buyback under California Lemon Law. A fire risk is not an issue to delay or hope for a fix—it demands immediate resolution. I have kept detailed records of all communication INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Nov 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER On Friday, [XXX] I was driving my jeep to work in the early morning hours. I was about ½ mile from getting on the highway when my jeep completely shut down. Everything inside of my jeep went black and I was completely horrified. I managed to get the jeep started and was able to drive to work. When I got to work I immediately called Ourisman Jeep in Bowie Maryland and explained the problem to them. I brought the jeep in on Monday, October 7th and my Jeep has been there since then. After Ourisman having the jeep for two weeks, I was informed that my Jeep was part of a newly released recall involving electric jeeps with no projected resolution date. I no longer feel safe driving my Jeep and I have asked for a “swap” of sorts. I have requested another vehicle that is exactly the same as my current vehicle just NOT ELECTRIC. I was been advised that my request needed to be escalated but after many many conversations there is still no resolution to my request. I am absolutely disappointed with the way this situation has been handled. I cannot help but think of the deadly repercussions had I been on the highway when this incident occurred. I did not ask for this inconvenience that is totally exhausted me financially and emotionally. I am driving a rental car that I am paying for wit the understanding of reimbursement once I return the vehicle. This issue is not one that I created but rather a failing on the corporation to provide a swift and satisfying resolution. While I’m sure this may cause Jeep to lose significant revenue, I find it completely disgusting that they would put corporate dollars before the safety of its owners. As of today 11/22/26 I have no resolution, no car and paying close to $400.00 per week for a rental car! INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Nov 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the safety recall issued for my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) under Recall Number 95B/NHTSA 24V-720. The recall highlights a critical defect in the High Voltage (HV) battery, which poses a severe risk of fire due to internal cell damage caused by defective components. While I understand that FCA US LLC is working on a remedy, I have not been provided with a clear timeline for repairs, leaving me in a highly unsafe and uncertain situation. The fact that the recall advises against charging the vehicle and even recommends parking it away from structures and other vehicles emphasizes the magnitude of the fire hazard. This creates a significant inconvenience and renders the vehicle virtually unusable for its intended purpose. I no longer feel comfortable driving or even owning this vehicle, as the defect jeopardizes my safety, the safety of others, and my property. The lack of immediate resolution places me in a position where I am unable to confidently rely on this vehicle without fear of a catastrophic event. I urge the NHTSA to intervene and ensure that FCA US LLC provides a timely resolution, including exploring options for replacement or refund, as this defect makes the vehicle a danger to myself and the community. Given the serious nature of this recall, I feel that no consumer should be left waiting without an actionable solution while exposed to such a critical safety risk.

Nov 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM This message/complaint is regarding NHTSA Recall Number 24V-720 (Manufacturer Recall Number95B). The recall was issued on 9/27/2024 and a remedy is still not available. I specifically bought this Jeep because of the hybrid option. The recall is preventing me from using hybrid mode. Due to the recall, I am also not able to park my car in my garage. My safety is put in risk due to the fact that my car could catch on fire.

Nov 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER Open 95B recall. High voltage battery safety issue, can cause fire. Advised not to charge, not to park indoors, and away from structures. There is no root cause, no parts, no firm timeline and I the manufacturer has been unresponsive. Initial contact was 10/31, and I have not yet received any follow-up from them (though I have contacted them proactively 3+ times). This is a leased vehicle with 13K miles and the dealer is not helpful, the manufacturer is not helpful, and quite frankly this level of concern is unnerving, and escalated in terms of anxiety and fear for what 'could or might happen'. To top it off not only do we have one of these vehicles, but two of them, both impacted.

Nov 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE On August 18, 2024 after charging the vehicle it showed a 95% charge instead of 100%. Immediately after attempting to drive the car, it began to stall and multiple warning laps/messages were on the dash board including “service charging system, check engine, red plug light, red battery light, red wrench with lightning bolts, red lightning bolt with backwards parentheses)(.” Car was not able to be driven more than a few miles per hour and a few feet before it stalled. During an attempt to drive the car and move it to a secure parking spot, the car stalled and large amounts of smoke came out of the exhaust smelling like burning. Car was towed to dealership. Car was unable to be towed onto the tow truck, tow truck driver had to just start the car 3 times and drive it up the tow truck ramp with jumper pack attached to car battery. This situation was unsafe for myself as the driver, surrounding cars/pedestrians, and for the tow truck driver who drove the car in order to tow it. When the dealership was diagnosing the vehicle problem, the replicated the problem. Initially the tech states the car is drivable and all set. When I questioned that a similar issue occurred when the vehicle was brand new and the plug needed to be changed and the whole hybrid system was disabled for 5 months while waiting for the part, the tech/manager continued to assess the car and stated the hybrid battery needs to be changed and the car cannot be driven. It took 4 weeks to receive and replace the part. The car and charging was working perfectly fine until I received the recall on the replaced battery of fire risk and not to drive it charged, park inside or near cars and buildings. This continues to be a threat daily to myself as the driver, cars around me and where I park. Such guidelines cannot be avoided and this car continues to have issues with the hybrid component that are not only unsafe but a complete waste of money for the consumer.

Nov 2024 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE While driving on [XXX] to upstate NY in heavy traffic on [XXX], my Jeep Wrangler 4xe lost power and showed the error message "Put vehicle in Park and shift gear" while at highway speed. I had no ability to accelerate but steering was still enabled and allowed me to pull over to the side of the road to investigate. Fortunately I was being followed by another member of my family and they provided a bit of a roadblock to allow us to navigate the traffic. At the time power was lost, the console had several warning lights including the check engine light, multiple battery system lights and others. After shutting the Jeep off, it started up again normally as if nothing had happened. I called the dealer who basically said they couldn't reproduce the issue but it had happened to others and clears on its own. Additionally, up to this point, the Jeep had several times been unable to charge in the warm summer weather with error messages Check Charging System and the Check Engine Light which I was able to clear with an OBDII scanner. Oct 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM The safety of this vehicle is a ticking time bomb. We are instructed not to park in or near a structure, near other vehicles, or charge it. Even if I don’t not charge it how am I supposed to park at my own home? How am I supposed to park at work? You are putting several lives at risk not to mention others vehicles, houses, businesses. I do search and rescue and have my k9 with me pretty much at all times. I am told it can ignite at anytime but it’s ok to leave my dog in? Where is the safety and concern over my highly trained k9 let alone family pet. I will never feel safe with this car again. I asked if they even replaced the battery if they could tell me it wouldn’t happen with the new battery and I could park back in my garage and they said no they couldn’t say it wouldn’t happen again.
