| Jan 2025 | STEERING | When driving on the freeway. Car starts to wobble and the whole car starts to shake. The steering wheel trembles as well. Every time I hit a bump it starts to wobble more.. everyday it keeps getting worse as I drive it. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Recall 19a Jeep released a vehicle with a defective clutch assembly that required full replacement. Unfortunately, they "applied a software fix to a hardware problem". This still hasn’t solved things and is still very concerning. This fix is completely unacceptable. I have a 2023 Jeep with only 16k miles. The only acceptable solution would be a buy back. Someone needs to get involved. There are people with completely useless vehicles now. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | STEERING | The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at highway speeds, the vehicle started shaking violently and the vehicle was difficult to steer. The contact was able to bring the vehicle to a stop. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and the contact was informed that the vehicle had experienced the death wobble. The dealer removed the steering damper and completed the purge process and checked the torque of the lug nuts, and the tire pressure. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, Coastal Jeep Ram of Quincy (1724 W Jefferson St, Quincy, FL 32351); where it was diagnosed with the death wobble and found the star online publication case [XXX] for shimmy in front and confirmed that the failure was due to the steering damper and star online purge steering damper and performed a multipoint inspection. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, Tallahassee Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Fiat, where it was diagnosed that the steering damper needed to be replaced, and a multipoint inspection was performed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the local dealer. No additional assistance was not provided. The failure mileage was approximately 13,510. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | 13,510 |

| Jan 2025 | POWER TRAIN,STRUCTURE,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | jeep caught on fire while it was parked in the driveway there as a ecall on the battery as it s a 4xe i had an appointment with the jeep dealer on the 16th of december and they cancelled it few days before the scheduled appointment they said they didnt have any loaners as it was a 2 day job they would call to reschedule they did not and it blew up on the 27th of december | Crash: No Fire: Yes | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | The car lost all power while driving in traffic. Speed was ~30mph and at coming up to an intersection the car was acting erratically and the dash indicator lights all lit up. I went to slow down and move out of traffic and the car lost all engine power and electrical power. I could not restart the vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Jeep and Dealers are failing to complete safety Recall NHTSA Recall Number24V-720. My vehicle was dropped off at the dealership ( Repair orders attached ) on Dec 11 for the recall . Jeep has launched the recall process which is a software update and a specific drive cycle. I have reasons to believe that the dealership did not properly followed the steps after the software updates. I have GPS logs to show. I had contacted Jeep support about that and I did not receive any positive help on this. Vehicle was sent out again on Jan 6th, but still I have no confidence that the steps were followed properly. Internet is flooded with how Jeep has poorly managed the recall process by over complicating the drive cycle and how dealers are negligent about the process. This is a safety recall and could cause fire/explosion and take lives. I strongly advise NHTSA to intervene and make JEEP/Dealers liable to ensure the process is followed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V720000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I went to Crowley dealership in Bristol CT for the 95B recall fix. I do not believe it was done correctly as my jeep had not been driven at all. I have a picture of the mileage upon drop off and it matched the mileage at pickup. Jeep and Mopar are also not recognizing the recall as being fixed and still shows it as active. It was also strange that I received a call to come get a loaner vehicle as my Jeep would not be ready (drop off Sunday night, call received for rental Tuesday afternoon) and as I pulled into the parking lot, I received a voicemail my Jeep WAS in fact ready for pickup. I am worried this was done incorrectly and being [XXX] with other children / people constantly in my car, I am worried for our safety. The 95B recall was process on December 19th 2024. The battery burned, no flames were visible, only chemical fire. | Dec 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | 2 incidents of loss of power with the electric motor at high speed. The hybrid electric motor unexpectedly lost power at 75 mph on the highway, alongside other vehicles moving at the same speed. This sudden loss of power caused the vehicle to drop to 55 mph, and not go above that speed, risking a potential collision from behind. Driving at 55 mph on Texas highways with a speed limit of 75 mph is very dangerous. The second time was exactly like the first but at 60mph. It has not been able to be reproduced. it has been inspected several time by the dealership. There was no warning of any kind. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | STEERING,SUSPENSION,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | On October 27th, my Jeep started shaking violently as I was driving on the highway. I brought the Jeep to the dealership, they test drove it, and the mechanic did not experience the shaking so I was told “that’s just what Jeeps do”. I then researched Jeep shaking and found the Death Wobble is a common problem among Jeeps and there are several ways to fix it. I took my Jeep back to the dealership, they once again test drove it and could not replicate the wobble. They said I could leave it there and they could continue to drive it daily to find the problem, as they cannot fix it if the mechanic cannot experience the wobble. I don’t have another vehicle to drive and cannot leave my vehicle there indefinitely. They did an alignment, and sent me on my way. The jeep continues to violently wobble, today forcing me to pull off on the side of the highway. This is not safe, I feel terrified to drive it over 60 mph, and feel this is totally unacceptable to be told “this is what Jeeps do” and “this is just your vehicle”. I expect to feel safe in a $40,000 car I bought brand new last year. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | POWER TRAIN | When cold, the vehicle will shift hard and/or delay shifting both causing the vehicle to jerk or lunge forward. This happens between 3 & 4 gear. One dealer was not able to recreate the issue and another was able to. No repairs were made as Stellantis stated because there are no service lights on they are no mechanical issues. The problem continues to get worse. This appears to be a common problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Manufacturer Recall Number95B NHTSA Recall Number24V-720 Recall StatusRecall Incomplete Summary In rare circumstances, a battery pack may contain cells with separator damage. Separator damage, combined with other complex interactions within the cells, may lead to a vehicle fire. Safety Risk A vehicle fire can result in increased risk of occupant injury and/or injury to persons outside the vehicle, as well as property damage. Remedy FCA US will conduct a voluntary safety recall on all affected vehicles. Remedy is a software flash followed by a HV battery replacement if needed. ******* The above is the recall the was released in, i believe, October. I have been scared to drive the car since. I cant park it at my house because i only have driveway parking right next to my house. I am scared of this car. The recall fix is now available but all dealers within 40 miles either “dont have the fix”, “dont have any availability”, or “put you on a waiting list”. So after almost 3 months this deadly issue still is not fixed and cant be fixed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Dec 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Loss of power when driving with no warning. Jeep power cut out driving with D flashing. Safety risk was a car on the road driving with traffic then no power. Pulled over to the side to get off the road as far as I could. “Service Hybrid System” message appeared with blinking D. Started back up 20 minutes later. Dealer could not replicate. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,SERVICE BRAKES,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Jeep 4xe: after coming to a complete stop or just slowing down and entering a lower gear, has a 1-2 second delay in the accelerator. Has caused tires to squeal when accelerator started to respond. Have almost caused accidents when becoming unresponsive as the vehicle will move forward but lose accelerator power. This happens infrequently and spontaneously which makes it impossible to plan for/ drive defensively against, cannot replicate or force it to happen. Vehicle can be inspected upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Vehicle will move forward after stopping, such as an intersection, and suddenly does not increase for 1-2 seconds making me a hazard to traffic. This happens maybe 1-3x a week and is impossible to replicate. Have been almost rear ended many times as no brake lights appear when this happens. Have almost been t-boned by oncoming traffic because of the delay. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Vehicle has had engine repaired and inspected by dealership. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The fact that Jeep has a recall that is not repairable for what appears to be months now is completely unacceptable. I bought this hybrid for a reason. To drive it around town without having to use gas. Now I can't charge my Jeep or park it in my garage? Then calling customer service is a joke. No buy back or gas reimbursement? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Dec 2024 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | My vehicle is waiting for a fix for Recall 24V720000 / 95B – It is totally unacceptable that Jeep has no time frame for a solution for this horrific safety issue however my vehicle is having another even more dangerous issue that Jeep refuses to acknowledge and I know I am not the only one with this serious defect. My vehicle (2023 4Xe with 5000 miles) losses acceleration power… This has happened at least 10x over the past 5 months. The check engine light often flashes on and off or stays on steady during this. When engaging the gas pedal at various speeds (30-65MPH) the gas fails to respond or output any power causing the vehicle to slowdown dramatically. SIGNIFICANT risk of being crashed into. It takes flooring the gas pedal and anywhere from it 10-25 seconds for the power to kick back in / engage and accelerate. I have been trying to get this fixed since August. One Jeep dealership (had my vehicle for 36 days) replicated the issue but got ‘no code’ therefore they could not fix. Since the 24V720000 / 95B was announced 2 months ago no Jeep dealership (I have contacted over 18) will even attempt to investigate or fix this issue as they claim its related to the battery recall 24V720000 / 95B. I urge you to investigate this loss of power before something catastrophic occurs. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The battery recall from Jeep still does not have any tentative timeline and no further communications from Jeep. At this point, Jeep has not offered any compensation towards the gas costs which otherwise could have been much less with electricity. Safety is my primary concern and I have to rent vehicles for the major trips especially during the holiday months. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the safety recall issued for my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) under Recall Number 95B/NHTSA 24V-720. The recall highlights a critical defect in the High Voltage (HV) battery, which poses a severe risk of fire due to internal cell damage caused by defective components. While I understand that FCA US LLC is working on a remedy, I have not been provided with a clear timeline for repairs, leaving me in a highly unsafe and uncertain situation. The fact that the recall advises against charging the vehicle and even recommends parking it away from structures and other vehicles emphasizes the magnitude of the fire hazard. This creates a significant inconvenience and renders the vehicle virtually unusable for its intended purpose. I no longer feel comfortable driving or even owning this vehicle, as the defect jeopardizes my safety, the safety of others, and my property. The lack of immediate resolution places me in a position where I am unable to confidently rely on this vehicle without fear of a catastrophic event. I urge the NHTSA to intervene and ensure that FCA US LLC provides a timely resolution, including exploring options for replacement or refund, as this defect makes the vehicle a danger to myself and the community. Given the serious nature of this recall, I feel that no consumer should be left waiting without an actionable solution while exposed to such a critical safety risk. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Second time we have had an issue with the battery. Unable to plug it is because of an unresolved battery recall, this time for over a month. We purchased the vehicle specifically for the battery and now we have to buy fuel. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | POWER TRAIN | My vehicle is currently under 95B recall from Jeep. I have spent more than 8 hours on hold, on the phone, via email, attempting a resolution as my Jeep is unable to be parked away from other vehicles or structures as I reside in a residential neighborhood, or away from structures at work, as I work at an elementary school with limited parking options. Jeep is completely aware of the situation and unwilling to provide a loaner vehicle as there are "not any available" at this time. With over 150,000 vehicles recalled, all vehicles at ANY Jeep dealer should be being offered as loaner vehicles at this time, as there is no fix for this situation in sight. My vehicle is at risk for bursting into flames at any moment. I cannot drive it using electricity which is why it was purchased. The vehicle is an ongoing threat to myself, my place of work, and my community, Jeep is aware, and they are not doing anything to resolve the issue. My Jeep only has 13,000 miles on it and is still under warranty. I have requested a buy back option as Jeep is unable to provide a safe location to store my vehicle or an alternative vehicle to drive, however have not heard back from their customer service team. I have emails, calls, and a contact log of all correspondence. The lack of customer service and solutions being offered to customers should be considered criminal as the risk of not just my 4xe, but all those under recall, are an immediate threat to the lives of others. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
