| Sep 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Faulty rear camera. After 2 days that I bought the car, whenever I put reverse mode, a blue screen comes up saying “camera system unavailable”. Rear camera won’t work. It works sometimes and sometimes the blue screen comes up, even after resetting the screen. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | SUSPENSION,POWER TRAIN,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | There is extreme vibration in this vehicle and it gets worse daily. I believe there is something terribly wrong with this Jeep and it's not due to poor alignment. I also experience very hard / stiff bounce back when on bumpy roads. Something that should not be so bad with this type of Jeep. I recently met a woman with a 2022 Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve who said she is experiencing the same exact things. I don't think this is a coincidence. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Making left hand turn through 4-way intersection. Car opposite of us also making left hand turn. Our Grand Cherokee collision system thought the two vehicle were going to collide and locked the brakes in the middle of the intersection almost causing a 4 car accident. This is the second time this has happened since purchasing 06/03/23. Driver neck injury sustained. Seeking medical attention. Jeep is currently at the dealership where they are trying to reproduce/diagnose with no success. Multiple online articles found showing complaints of this EXACT issue proving it's not isolated to our vehicle. | Sep 2023 | PARKING BRAKE | The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that after parking on an incline and activating the electronic parking brake, the electronic parking brake failed to disengage. The vehicle was later towed to the local dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the rear electronic parking brake actuator had failed due to water intrusion. The actuator was replaced but the failure later reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 17,000. | Crash: No Fire: No Towed | 17,000 |
| Sep 2023 | STRUCTURE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | As noted on the IIHS.org website, 2022 and 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee's built prior to April 2023 experienced a fuel tank rupture in the side impact test conducted by IIHS. Stellantis redesigned the underbody structure to correct this issue. This redesign was put in place on vehicles assembled after March 2023. IIHS originally tested a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee in October 2022 and identified the fuel tank rupture during the side impact test. However, IIHS did not post this information on their website until almost a year later when tests of the redesigned vehicle were performed, and the fuel tank leak issue had been corrected. Hence, 2022 and 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s built prior to April 2023 have a significant safety concern that IIHS did not inform the public about in a reasonable time frame and more importantly, Stellantis is aware of but has not issued a recall to correct the issue on vehicles that were built prior to the redesign. Please review the side crash results on IIHS paying attention to the 2022 test where the fuel tank ruptured. Brings back memories of the infamous Ford Pinto gas tank design. I am asking for NHTSA to assist in requiring Stellantis to issue a recall on vehicles built prior to the redesign to either modify the vehicle to address the fuel tank rupture concern, or if that is not possible buy back the vehicles. Please contact me by e-mail [XXX] ) of cell [XXX] if you require more information to pursue this issue. Thank you. | Sep 2023 | SUSPENSION | The vehicle had a recalled for the rear coil springs, took it in for inspection and they gave me a paper at the dealership saying it was placed correctly. After we took it for the inspection my family and I took a trip 6 hours away from home, 15 minutes to getting to our destination the Right Rear Spring detached from the vehicle while driving 45 mph. When the incident happened we all screamed because the vehicle went side to side and got scared even our dog got scared since he was in his kennel at the back of the suv. I’m so thankful nothing happened to us because if my husband would’ve been driving above 60mph we could’ve flipped and got injured. We drove it to the nearest Jeep dealership there was and left our vehicle there to get it fix. We are 6 hours away from where our SUV is at, I’m scared to drive it back home and the same thing happens. I don’t feel safe driving that vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Aug 2023 | SEATS | the program saving seat are never the same. it seems to be the random positions and constant adjusting of the seats . I took it to the dealer and they performed a re programming per a service bulletin. It didn't help. Took it back today and they can't find anything wrong with it. No codes and they confirmed the previous programming took and is up to date. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | STEERING,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE | We have a recently purchased Jeep L with 5200 miles on it. Never off road, just a family commuter. Today my wife was driving the car for the second time and the power steering went out completely and it was very hard to turn the wheel. A bunch of other likes came on like the adaptive cruise and active lane management and front collision icons. The dash was lit up with warning including a large steering wheel icon in red. We shut the car down and restarted multiple times and the issue was still there. After 15 minutes of being on the phone to get it towed to the dealer, the issue went away on the next start with just a check engine light remaining. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Gas gauge, miles to empty, and low fuel indicator are not correct. I ran out of gas (without knowing it) twice. There was no gad light that came on. Fuel gauge said almost 1/4 tank full and 68 miles to empty. The first time this happened I had it towed to dealership thinking the AEB system stopped the car. Dealership found no issues. It happened a second time and my husband thought about the gas gauges being inaccurate and put gas in. He was right, started right up after putting gas in. After I filled it, I drove 300 miles before the Full line on the gauge started to move down. The whole system is not right when showing fuel levels. You would think the gas light would at least come on if you were out of gas | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The spring coil has been recalled. Took vehicle to interstate dodge in West Monroe, LA and they stated they are only allowed to order one coil at a time per week, so it will take 3 to 4 weeks to get the parts. I need both coils replaced. This is unacceptable and puts me in danger every day I have to drive it to work or store. I’m suppose to drive 9 hours away in 3 weeks to take care of my elderly parents. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle independently accelerated at high speeds and the contact lost control of vehicle and drove off the road. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact drove over metal fragments on the roadway causing damages to the front driver’s and passenger’s side tires before the vehicle came to a complete stop. The vehicle was towed to a Collision Center. The dealer was contacted but no assistance was provided. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 11,000. | Crash: No Fire: No Towed | 11,000 |

| Aug 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | While turning left, vehicle hit brakes on its own, driver and two passengers experienced neck pain. Two vehicles behind both screeched to a halt. There is dash cam video, but won’t let me upload. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The uconnect system on this vehicle locks up, glitches and is unresponsive. This makes the hands free function for cell phone use unreliable at best, as well as all touchscreen functions inoperable. The problems with the uconnect systems make driving the car very distracting and potentially unsafe at times. These problems have been inspected by the dealership service department and confirmed not to be normal. The dealership service technicians have attempted to fix these problems four times by replacing two radios, a touchscreen and reloading software. None of these attempts have been successful. The uconnect system has had these issues starting the first week of ownership Nov 2022 | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Brand new car purchased on July 12, 2023, with 84 miles. In 19 days the car has been in service for 3 days to date, left stranded with all the listed issues. 1.Navigation screen randomly goes blank/black while driving 2.Audio Bluetooth connection randomly not allowing me to hear or be heard by caller 3.Rear AC system is not blowing air, even when front AC is set to lowest setting 4.Cell wireless charging blue light, but there is no actual charging happening 5.USB plugin not actually charging 6.Driver Assist lanes disappearing 7.Auto Drive setting stuck on D2 while driving 8.Acceleration became erratic, to the point where the car would not start 9.Randomly slow to break and accelerate. 10.Average MPG is between 15 and 16 11.Driver's dashboard becomes erratic, and dimly | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES | The vehicle while in cruise set at 70mph accelerated to nearly 90mph and would not disengage even when brake applied, had to turn vehicle off. It has done this twice almost causing an accident. Vehicle has also suddenly applied the brakes very hard while driving approx 55 mph, nothing in front of vehicle. Apparently vehicle was applying the brakes because when we reached home the brake rotors were glowing cherry red. Dealer has looked at it once and said in is probably our pedal getting stuck on the floor mats. I did not have foot on any pedal while in cruise. This last time no check engine light cam on. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VISIBILITY/WIPER,BACK OVER PREVENTION | -The front and rear camera work intermittently, and yes it is available for inspection upon request. - During the morning, afternoon, or during the night, the package that includes the security that the vehicle has about vision by cameras does not work, putting their own lives and others at risk by not seeing the blind and low spots from the Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 2023, causing a fatal accident. - The has been confirmed by a dealer because me personally and my wife have delivered the Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 2023 with the problem in its maximum expression to the dealer. - The vehicle has been inspected more than eight times, but the dealer technician and Chrysler technician don't know yet how to fix the problem. Non exist any warning lamp, messages, or other symptoms of the problem before the failure. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I bought this Jeep on Sept 2022 and by April my Jeep was already asking me for an oil change. I purchased a lease with 15 miles and in April 07 2023 for my first oil change. I went in to the dealer with 2,807 miles. Now I am noticing from April 7 until todays date I am already at a 25% oil life with a 4,376 miles. It has only been 3 months. I believe there is a default with my oil tank. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | SUSPENSION | It might be comparable to the Jeep recall that is now in effect, except it might be in the front. The noise is coming from the front driver's side and am experiencing the exact same problem. Every time I reverse, do a three-point turn, drive straight, or make a left or right turn. My Jeep produces a cracking sound as though it's ready to break. In addition to hearing it, I can feel it on my feet and steering wheel. I don't feel protected and I do have 2 little girls. When I took it to the dealership, they weren't sure if it was covered by the recall or if it was something else entirely. I drive no faster than 40 to 45 mph out of fear of colliding with someone not drive on the highway. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | AIR BAGS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Airbag requiring service light came on at 100 miles. Then the SOS call button was stuck lit up with an error message on the touch screen every time vehicle was started. Then the AEB system went off while driving (not in danger of being in a crash) and brought the vehicle to a stop and put itself in Park and shut off. Vehicle would not start again after that. Had to get it towed | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
