| Oct 2023 | STEERING | "Stickey" steering. Produces momentary increases in steering effort while driving the vehicle. Happens at different speeds, especially on highways after driving for a certain amount of time. My vehicle currently has aprox. 12,000. This issue was noticed after 10K | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | STEERING | Steering feels "sticky, jerky", like it takes extra effort to turn, and seems to jerk while driving without me moving it. Worse at speeds above 40 mph. Turned off lane keep assist, and nothing changed. The EPS rack seems to be the issue, according to other owners with the same problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | STEERING | At highways speeds, steering becomes noticeably "sticky". Instead of remaining smooth, as you turn the wheel it poses some resistance, requiring a stronger nudge. This is worrisome as it causes you to inadvertently steer more than intended. The issue is present in slow speeds too, but not as perceptible because it seems to happen when the steering wheel is at rest. Since city driving requires frequent adjustments to steering direction, one has to pay more attention in order to notice instances where the wheel "sticks". | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | STEERING | We have a 2023 CRV with 5400 miles. I started noticing the problem at about 3500. Originally I only noticed it while traveling at highway speed on a relatively straight section of road. Now I feel it almost all of the time. It's like a little resistance hurdle you have to jump over to get the steering wheel to turn. Once over the hurdle, it steers normally. It can even happen at slower speeds in the middle of a long turn like a freeway entry or exit ramp. When the wheel is held in a given position for a second it takes some extra effort to get it out of that position. Yesterday I was driving in heavy rain in heavy traffic on the freeway. This extra effort required was almost making me oversteer into the car next to me. I'm [XXX] and in pretty good physical shape. I pity the poor 80 year old lady this happens to. There will be a crash and everyone will assume it was the driver's fault. I have taken it to one Honda dealer and they drove it and felt the issue. They checked their database and found nothing. I'm taking it to another dealer tomorrow and will be very insistent that they dig into the issue and replace whatever needs replacing. -Steering. Yes, available for inspection. -Sticky steering causing me to oversteer. This could be dangerous in heavy traffic at high speed. -One Honda dealer drove it and could feel the problem. I am taking it to another (closer) dealer tomorrow. -It has not been inspected yet. I guarantee you this is a problem that needs to be corrected. I have seen many posts of other owners with the same issue. -No warnings. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | STEERING | The steering seems to stick when making minor corrections. Is annoying but could be dangerous at highway speeds or in slippery conditions. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | STEERING | The vehicle has now began to have sticky steering with only 13,000 miles. You can feel the steering wheel fight against a you at really low speeds. It is worse on highway speeds and almost impossible to maintain your lane due to over correction on the steering wheel locking. The vehicle now does not feel safe to operate. I began to think it was wind on the highway or the lane assist working against me. These do not seem to be the issue. The issue comes from a faulty steering system. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | STEERING | Starting when the car had approximately 2,500 miles, the steering would become sticky or notchy. Steering would start off smoothly, then suddenly become sticky after driving a few miles. I need to apply excess pressure to the steering wheel, which doesn't allow me to keep the car placed in the lane where I want it to be. I can't steer smoothly and the car has more movement then I want it to have. I brought it to the dealer and they kept the car for 4 days and had several people test drive it. When they returned it to me, they agreed something wasn't right, but since they could not pinpoint the problem, they couldn't make a repair. They told me to bring it back if it happens again. It started to happen again when I drove it home from the dealer. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | STEERING | 2023 Honda CR-V purchased in Dec 2022. Has about 5000 miles. The steering started to feel like it was sticking. I thought it might be related to one of the safety systems, so I turned off Lane Departure and Lane Keep Assist. The sticking stopped for about a week but then returned. It is really noticeable on the highway at high speeds and makes it very hard to drive straight. This seems to be getting worse on non-highway driving. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | STEERING | The Honda Cr-V steering feels like it sticks for a couple seconds and then resumes control. Lane assist is not one. The problem is getting worse. At first I thought it was just uneven pavement, but now it's noticeable on smooth pavement, especially at higher speeds. Maintaining straight driving feels jerky. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Sticky steering making it difficult to keep the car going straight as the steering adjustments can't be gradual. This occurs in straight lines, gradual turns and around tight corners. Issue starts around 30 mph and gradually gets worse as speed increases. As of now, this is resulting in the dealer replacing the rack and pinion assembly. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | STEERING | With the lane assist TURNED OFF, the steering wheel is jerked one direction or another. It makes a constant working of the wheel for steering, particularly at highway speeds. You feel like you are constantly fighting the car’s steering. It is a jerk every few seconds that you have to fight to correct. 4031 miles on the new car purchased in May 2023. Definitely feels dangerous. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | STRUCTURE,VISIBILITY/WIPER | Hood shakes like crazy at sppeds over 60 MPH, brought to dealer and they said it was "Normal" and there is nothing they can do. it is shaking badly and I worry it will pop up and cause an accident. Not pleased with this at all. Second thing is it has developed a loud wind noise on passengers side "a" pillar near the windshield it seems. Going in to the dealer for them to look at that next week, as was not present when new, and we have now about 12,000 miles on it and it is about 10 months old. Other issue is the drivers side mirror shakes and vibrates lots at highway speeds making it difficult to use day or night, it is terrible. So far, not a happy customer. Lastly, the horn is really not loud enough, and also complained to dealer about that and they said "they are all like that" nothing they can do.. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | STEERING | The car has a very sticky feeling when steering. The car is very hard to steer at higher speeds and makes it very hard to maneuver in case of emergency The steering locks and gets super hard to turn at speeds greater than 20 mph. I have already been in a minor accident which I couldn’t swerve away from a car coming into my lane | Crash: Yes Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,BACK OVER PREVENTION | UNKNOWN Car horn/ insufficient sound/ volume. Parking sensors do not work intermittently. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Sep 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EXTERIOR LIGHTING,STRUCTURE | The reverse camera works poorly and is not clearly especially if it’s wet outside. Water smears on the camera more easily than other cars I have owned even if it’s not actively raining. My 2013 g37 and 2017 Mercedes glc300 never had visibility issues for the camera and the Infiniti is 11 years older. Honda states it’s normal. I think it’s a bad design that allows camera lens to hold water on it. It’s a potential danger when reversing during rain or if car is wet. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | This is the second occurrence of a similar problem. First problem occurred on Sept 14, 2023 and service slip is attached. While driving the car lost power but I was able to regain power but I got adaptive cruise control system problem, collision mitigation braking system problem, smart entry system problem -see dealer warnings. Pulled into a parking lot but when I shut car off got accessory mode on screen. Navigation system remained active and could not restart car or lock car doors. Called service and they jump started the car and I drove car to dealer. Dealer said car had water in fuse box. I did not drive thru any water and car was not in any flood area. I asked if this could be a problem with the electric transmission as I had seen info on the internet about this. No one seems to know the new recall I was talking about. Car is currently at dealer waiting for parts. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | As I was driving down the street at 45mph, with no one anywhere close in front of me, the warning brake noise and lights came on and the car quickly braked and brought the car to a stop. Thankfully the person behind me was not following too close, but it sure shook me up! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | While driving on a clear day on a relatively flat straight road the CMBS activated and applied the brakes abruptly. There we no objects in the road when the brake light appeared and the car abruptly applied the brakes. There were no apparent conditions that would warrant this action. This issue has only occurred once and the dealer has not yet inspected the car since this incident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | LANE DEPARTURE | I am really going through a very rough patch after buying the Honda CRV in May end 2023 EX-L model , 23/HONDA/CR-V/ AWD EX-L : Warnings Concerns / VIN: [XXX] . Following up from the 3 -month , I purchased the vehicle , but no respite from Honda Dealer & Honda Company, even filed the case with American Honda : Case # [XXX] but they are not providing any solution and referring to Honda dealer and Honda dealer referring to Honda company and I m missed as no body is taking the responsibility. I am seeing an unwanted warning, when I unpark my car, and there is no resolution at the Honda dealer and Honda company itself. warnings which abruptly came when my new Honda CRV got unparked . Details as below "LKAS: lane keeping assist system problem. See your dealer.". "road departure mitigation system problem. See your dealer.", Please help me to reolve this issue, If we paid out what is the intended price, but we are not getting the benefits/comfort what is expected and causing us the multiple trips to Honda showroom and mental agony giving me sleepless nights, if I spend too much for a new vehicle, still getting these kind of discomfort and uneasiness. It seems that customers should be compensated for all these unnecessary troubles and unwanted warnings giving an illusion which makes the driver unformatable which can lead to accidents. | Aug 2023 | ENGINE | The contact owns a 2023 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while parked, the contact noticed an oil leak. The contact stated that the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the oil pan needed to be replaced. The oil pan was replaced. The failure reoccurred and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer where they replaced the oil pan again along with the crank case. The failure recurred and the remained with the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximate 3,950. | Crash: No Fire: No | 3,950 |
| Aug 2023 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES,BACK OVER PREVENTION | I was pulling into a parking space at my work parking lot, where I have been parking my car for the past 2.5 years. I was slowly parking the CRV, my foot was not applying any pressure on the gas, I was slowly easing into the parking space and as I was putting my foot on the brake to stop, it was very hard as if it was locked and the car kept going. I couldn't stop the SUV and it jumped the curb/went over the plants and crashed into a building/shattering glasses , frames, furniture and appliances as it hit the wall beam and stopped. to The Honda emergency brake system did not activate to stop the vehicle. I had no control of the vehicle as I frantically tried to brake- it was locked. I have reported a claim to State Farm insurance company and to Honda Claims. The Auburn, CA police came to the scene and completed a report. Honda just took the facts of loss and did not conduct any investigation. My insurance company has yet to inspect the vehicle or transfer the vehicle to a Honda dealership to rule out manufacturer defect. It is sitting at their preferred shop Caliber Collision of Rocklin, for the damage to be assessed. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Towed | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | On August 15, 2023, the rear windshield on my 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport Touring spontaneously shattered while parked in the garage. The shattered glass was primarily contained within the rear storage area, but also on the garage floor. After consulting with the dealer, I drove it to the dealership (Apple Tree Honda in Fletcher, NC) where it was examined by the service manager. There were no symptoms of failure prior to the spontaneous shattering. Resolution pending at this date. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | Driver side headlight stopped working, including low beam, high beam, turn signal. Dealer replaced whole headlight assembly under warrenty. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | AIR BAGS | Date of Accident: Wednesday, August 8th 2023 Time of Accident: 12:33PM Location of Accident: Intersection of 22nd St & Camelback Rd (in front of my office) in Phoenix, Arizona Phoenix Police Responding Officer: [XXX] #[XXX] Incident/Accident Report #: [XXX] Geico Claim Number: [XXX] Assigned Adjuster from Geico: [XXX] [XXX] I was t-boned and injured by a red light runner driving recklessly on Camelback Road headed east. He hit me in the intersection. My airbags did not deploy, his did. I am a very cautious/mindful driver. I was always scared of this, as our state is the worst for red light runners. I was diagnosed with a concussion and cervical sprain. I have severe pain on the right side of my neck. I was in shock and felt immediate burning/pinching sensation. After the accident I was woozy, had vertigo, nauseous, have had a migraine since the crash and severe anxiety/panic and barely any sleep and no appetite. The crash and what happened after keeps replaying in my head. I'm having nightmares of being hit and my airbags not going off and my neck snapping and paralyzing me. Due to my concussion, I am still having some cognitive issues with speech, sensitivity to light, short-term memory, and emotional regulation. My anxiety has been skyrocketing. Mr. [XXX] and I both have Geico automobile policies. Geico found Mr. [XXX] 100% at fault during their investigation. I also wanted to include that a witness (man) was trying to break into my car, hitting my window after I was hit, while I was sitting and crying in the middle of the intersection with my seat belt still on. Him and a friend were screaming at me to move, and cussing me out. The 911 operator asked what was going on and told me not to move and let the fire department come. It was so scary. I am severely traumatized. The nightmares won't stop, I am starting therapy this week to address. Please help me.
