| Dec 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Twice while driving this vehicle, a large number of warning lights activated simultaneously, and I lost the ability to accelerate the vehicle. Essentially, every ADAS warning triggered at once during these incidents, causing me to lose acceleration and creating a dangerous situation. The first incident occurred on the highway during heavy traffic. The sudden activation of all ADAS warnings was alarming and highly distracting. Fortunately, I managed to pull over safely. After shutting the vehicle off and restarting it, most warnings disappeared, but a few related to the brakes remained, which was very concerning. Despite being able to drive afterward, I was worried about brake safety. Later, when I started the car again, no ADAS faults were present. The second incident happened as I was leaving my apartment complex, forcing me to stop in the middle of the road due to the same issue. After the first highway incident, I took the car to Honda, as it was still under warranty. They inspected it but dismissed the problem, stating all they saw on the code reader were “junk codes” and that nothing was wrong. I plan to return to Honda after the second incident, but I fear they will give the same explanation. Online research reveals that many others have experienced almost identical issues. This is an extremely dangerous flaw in the system that requires immediate investigation and a recall before someone gets seriously hurt. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE | The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V763000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE | While driving the vehicle on a very busy highway, it completely stalled and several warning lights appeared: "Brake System problem SEE DEALER, Check Engine Light, TPMS, etc. I have attached a picture of the warning. Another vehicle behind me slammed on his brakes but ended up bumping my back bumper (no visible damage). Thankfully the driver was alert and was able to slam on his brakes to avoid a disaster on highway 270 (near Washington, DC). I was able to restart the vehicle after a few minutes, the warning lights remained on, and I was able to drive 8 miles to the dealership. According to the work order: "The technician pulled multiple codes, followed the diagnostic tree, cleared codes." I do not feel safe driving this vehicle and have seen other complaints regarding the same issue on a Honda Website. Please research and assist as best you can. | Crash: Yes Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Remedy for Fuel Injection Problem(NHTSA 24V-763) is still not available. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I went to dealer and i am affraid to drive vehicle unsafe might expold my anxity is up the roof due to that my honda should give a loaner or something in that matter .I asked to no avail . | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | When driving my 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid sedan, several warning lights came on, including the brakes and tire pressure. Then the accelerator didn’t work well. I pulled over to the side of the road and restarted the car. A message saying there was a problem with the braking system appeared. It also said braking performance could be reduced. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | car slammed on the brakes with no apparent obstruction in the path of the vehicle. Braking caused hand injury from the grip of the steering wheel. nearly caused rear-end collusion with vehicle follow behind us. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | On three separate occasions (the most recent of which was on Saturday), my vehicle’s dashboard lit up with various alerts, including “Brake System problem”, “TPMS problems”, and “Vehicle stability assist system problems”. At the same time, the vehicle’s accelerator completely stopped working. The issue would only resolve itself (and the alerts would go away) after I pulled over and restarted the vehicle twice. This issue happened on Saturday (on a highway), in March 2024 (driving out of a parking lot), and in February 2024 (on the highway). This is a safety issue because not being able to use the accelerator on the highway could potentially have lead to a serious crash. The dealers have been unable to replicate the issue. I've brought in the vehicle to dealerships on three occasions and have been told that because the alert wasn't actively visible when I brought it in after the fact. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | STRUCTURE | Both front door weather seals are constantly popping off along the top edge of the door above the window. I've have to press them back on 4-5 times in the 18 months I've had the car and it only has 27,500 miles. I had the dealer attempt to fix this at the last oil changes and it again came off afterwards. This seems like a design flaw since it keeps happening even after the dealer fix. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | While driving on the highway at approximately 65 mph, the car warning system beeped and displayed several error messages, including problems with the power steering, braking, and road mitigation systems. I was told to get my car to the dealer immediately. I also noticed that the car seemed to be losing acceleration power. As I was driving in traffic, my main concern was to get the car off the highway ASAP, so I was not able to note all the warnings. I did exit the highway, coasting off an exit ramp, having lost all or most power. After shutting off and restarting the car, all messages cleared except the warning of a potential brake failure, and I think the TPMS warning. I was now able to drive the car home with full power. The brakes, steering, and everything else seemed fine. After getting home, I shut off the car for about 30 minutes and when I restarted it, all errors had cleared. The car then drove fine and after the weekend, I took it to my dealer. They ran the error codes, and there were some codes, but nothing indicating a problem. They said it was fine to drive, but to let them know if I had additional problems. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE | The contact's son leased a 2023 Honda Accord. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V763000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that her son had noticed that there was a strong fuel odor coming from the vehicle. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available. | Crash: No Fire: No | 23,000 |
| Oct 2024 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Car stopped/hit the brakes on its own without anything in front of it. The collision detection warning went off while traveling at 25 mph, hit the brakes and stopped the car. I have a dashcam and can provide video proof of it. | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 2 | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES | All of a sudden, the accelerator pedal stopped working --- all I really know is that the car wouldn't accelerate, regardless of how much I pressed on the pedal, and the car had to roll to a stop. A bunch of warning lights came on about the brakes malfunctioning, but I don't remember if the brakes actually stopped working (I was more focused on the fact that I couldn't accelerate --- this happened right as I was starting to move after a red light turned green). Thankfully this happened when I was going slowly in a residential area --- if I had been on the freeway and unable to get over to the shoulder before the car came to a halt, this could have caused a serious/fatal accident (or if the brakes really had stopped working, even in a residential area I could have crashed into something/someone). The car remained unresponsive until I turned the whole thing off and on again, at which point it started working like normal (although still with the warnings). I took the car to my dealership and they ran diagnostics, but they couldn't find anything and couldn't reproduce the problem when they drove it around, so they just shrugged and said I should "keep an eye on it and see if it happens again". So unfortunately I don't know what caused the problem or what to inspect (but I'm certainly not going to keep driving the car and risk this happening again). | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | SERVICE BRAKES | “Brake system problem” was shown on the dashboard along with tire pressure problems and other messages. After the message, I couldn’t accelerate nor brake my vehicle. It happens randomly for 3 times and they fixed it for 2 times. The second fix last 5 months before I have this issue again in October 2024. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | STEERING | Steering rack making noise when turning steering wheel either direction. Something is not right! The steering rack should be recalled. My vehicle is too new to be having issues. Actually, so many people are having issues with this. This should be recalled ASAP. Definitely a SAFETY issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | STEERING | The contact's son owns a 2023 Honda Accord. While the contact's son was driving at highway speeds, the steering wheel seized with an unknown message displayed on the instrument panel. The contact's son used excessive force to steer the vehicle off to the shoulder of the highway. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where the mechanic discovered that the power steering gear box was defective; and the steering gear box was replaced. Recently, the contact's son stated that there was an abnormal tapping sound coming from the steering wheel. There was no warning light illuminated. The dealer was notified, and an appointment was scheduled. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 12,906. | Crash: No Fire: No | 12,906 |
| Sep 2024 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES | I was pulling out of a parking lot when suddenly the car reported a problem with the braking system along with a number of other warnings. I lost all acceleration as I entered an intersection. I power cycled the car a couple of times before it returned to normal, and I was able to continue driving. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Power system failed. Vehicle will not start. Error message appears “Power System Failure.” Vehicle will only start after 10-15 minutes of repeated attempts to turn on. No battery issues or other mechanical failures are indicated. Incident has happened 2-3 times in a six month timeframe. If my vehicle won’t start, I am unable to get out of potentially dangerous situation (ie: being held up at gunpoint, weather situation, medical emergency, bears, train, etc). | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I was stopped and car completely shut down felt a lurch like I was hit and all systems shut down. I was able to coast to the side and restart car after apx 30 sec. Continued to state take car to dealership braking malfunction. Per dealership car went into limp mode and needed a software update. Safety would be extremely at risk if I had been driving on the freeway | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2024 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE | Today I was driving my 2023 Honda Accord Touring hybrid with 8k miles on it. Out of the blue, a bunch of warning messages / lights came on ("Brake System Problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer."; also tire warning symbol). Car automatically decelerated (wouldn't accelerate). This would have been very dangerous happening on a freeway. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2024 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The car stalled suddenly with hand brake pulled automatically while driving at a slow speed at a parking lot. The information center shows brake indicator flashing in red with description statements that include the brake might have reduced power and how to restart the car. Was able to start the car after releasing the hand brake and drive without issue. Sent the car to dealer’s service department but they couldn’t recreate the symptom and was told there is no recall for this issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,HYBRID PROPULSION SYSTEM | The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power. The driver pulled over to the shoulder of the roadway; however, the vehicle failed to restart. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the hybrid charging system, resulting in a depleted hybrid battery. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 10,000. The VIN was not available. | Crash: No Fire: No Towed | 10,000 |
| Aug 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Traveling on the expressway at approximately 70mph the dashboard/instrument panel started lighting up with warnings regarding tires, braking, engine, etc, and the car/power started shutting down, could not accelerate, steering and braking became difficult, fortunately I was able to access an off ramp at which point the car was stopped with multiple cars and semis behind me. The emergency flasher did work which most likely saved us from being rear-ended. We turned the car off and then turned it back on twice and then it started up again. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2024 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | On 6/25/2023, my vehicle’s gas pedal and acceleration system completely stopped working mid-drive without warning. The car coasted to a stop. After shutting off the car and restarting, the gas pedal worked again. I brought the car to my dealer, Bernardi Honda in Natick. They found “loss of communication codes,” but since they couldn’t replicate the issue, no repairs were made and I was given the car back. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2024 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | On [XXX], my vehicle’s gas pedal and acceleration system completely stopped working mid-drive on an interstate highway without warning. The car coasted to a stop. After shutting off the car and restarting, the gas pedal worked again. This was the second time this occurred (the first was on [XXX]). I brought the car to my dealer, Bernardi Honda in Natick, as I had done before. They found “loss of communication codes,” and “updated the ECU management system” but since they couldn’t replicate the issue they didn’t know if that would resolve the issue. It did not. They gave me the car back. This would happen a third time on [XXX] and I submitted a report about that, too. I believe my car should be included in recall campaign number 23V588000.
