Jan 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER "When driving on Interstate 15 in Draper/Bluffdale, external electronic interference forcefully disconnects the vehicle's infotainment and safety displays. This causes the main screen to go black, reboot, or freeze while moving at highway speeds (70+ MPH). This creates an immediate distraction hazard and disables navigation instructions during high-speed traffic flow. The vehicle's shielding is insufficient to protect the driver from this predictable external interference, leading to a recurring safety hazard in a known dead zone."

Jan 2026 POWER TRAIN I am reporting a failure of the manufacturer to provide a timely and safe remedy for Safety Recall 25V512. My local dealer, Springdale Ford in Springdale, Arkansas, officially advised me NOT to drive the vehicle on December 12, 2025, after a routine oil change, citing it as unsafe and at risk of a crash/rollaway. However, Ford has not provided a loaner or rental vehicle and has no ETA for parts. I am currently being forced to choose between driving an unsafe vehicle and being without a vehicle. They are considering giving me a rental vehicle, but the rental company they partner with does not allow their vehicles to tow RV trailers, which is why we purchased the Ford F-150. I am making monthly payments on the Ford truck and our RV travel trailer, plus insurance for both and storage fees for the RV, all while unable to drive our newly purchased vehicle of 6 months. Ford is failing to fulfill its obligation to remedy this safety defect in a reasonable manner. To compound this setback, they have asked us to increase our monthly payment by $200 to trade in our truck for a comparable vehicle, as if this were our fault.

Jan 2026 SERVICE BRAKES After the vehicle sat parked for 12 days, upon initial startup, the vehicle experienced a total failure of the Electronic Brake Booster (EBB). The dashboard displayed multiple critical fault codes including "Brake System Failure," "Service AdvanceTrac," and "Check Brake System." The vehicle software triggered a safety interlock, refusing to shift out of Park, rendering the vehicle completely disabled. This failure is a direct match to the defect described in NHTSA Campaign 25V488 (Ford Recall 25S77). Ford’s official filing for that recall admits the EBB module is "susceptible to normal but infrequent voltage disturbances" which causes the EBB motor to enter a "faulted state" or shut down. My 2023 Lightning is currently excluded from this recall despite experiencing the exact same "voltage disturbance" failure mode upon waking from a sleep cycle. This is a critical safety defect that resulted in a total loss of power braking assist and vehicle immobilization. Ford is currently refusing to cover the $2,800 repair cost under the recall, despite the identical nature of the failure

Jan 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER I first received notification from Ford concerning this Safety Recall but despite calls to numerous dealers throughout the area no parts as as yet , January 5th, are available to make the repairs. It has been 8 months since the Safety Recall was sent out. This is well past a reasonable time for Ford to have the parts available.

Jan 2026 POWER TRAIN To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally document and complain about the ongoing and unresolved issues with my vehicle, which has been subjected to repeated repair attempts without a successful or lasting resolution. What began as a single repair concern has escalated into an extended, exhausting process involving multiple failed repairs, continued warning indicators, and a complete lack of confidence in the vehicle’s safety and reliability. Since owning this vehicle, it has been brought in for service numerous times due to recurring mechanical issues. The most recent and most serious issue began as a rear differential leak. That initial diagnosis led to a rear end replacement, which then spiraled into additional repairs and complications. As of now, the vehicle has undergone eight separate repair attempts related to this issue. After the most recent repair, I was explicitly informed by the dealership that the vehicle was fully repaired and ready for pickup. However, upon arriving and taking possession of the vehicle, I immediately observed active warning lights on the dashboard, including: •“Service Now” •“Service Rear Differential” This occurred at the time of pickup, indicating that the vehicle was either not properly repaired, not properly inspected, or knowingly released in an unresolved and potentially unsafe condition. I was forced to return the vehicle immediately, continuing a cycle that has become unacceptable. This pattern demonstrates a serious breakdown in diagnostic accuracy, repair quality, and accountability. Eight repair attempts without resolution is excessive by any reasonable standard and has resulted in: •Significant inconvenience and loss of time •Ongoing uncertainty about the vehicle’s safety and mechanical integrity •Loss of trust in both the dealership’s service department and the product itself Adding to this frustration, I was directly told by the dealership owner that my only option at this point was to sue.

Jan 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Regarding EV Battery Failure – 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning”} To Whom It May Concern, NHTSA I am writing to formally file a complaint against Ford Motor Company regarding a serious and ongoing battery issue with my electric vehicle, which remains unresolved despite multiple attempts to obtain warranty service. Vehicle Information: Vehicle: 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning VIN: [XXX] Mileage: Approximately 38000miles Warranty Status: Vehicle is still fully covered under the manufacturer’s warranty Description of the Problem: The vehicle’s battery is not functioning properly. After a full charge, the vehicle only drives approximately 50 miles, after which the battery becomes completely dead. Ford advertises a range of approximately 230 miles per full charge, which my vehicle has never achieved. The battery warning and error messages appear repeatedly on the dashboard, clearly indicating a battery-related issue. Despite this, no effective repair has been performed. Issues with Ford and Authorized Dealers: Ford Motor Company repeatedly refers me to authorized dealers. Each time I visit a dealer, I am charged approximately $140 for inspection, and the dealer claims that the battery is “fine” without providing any real fix. The problem continues exactly the same. Ford refuses to take responsibility and continues to redirect me back to dealers. Many local dealers do not even have qualified technicians capable of replacing or repairing EV batteries. They only perform basic checks, collect money, and return the vehicle without resolving the issue. This repeated back-and-forth between Ford and dealers has caused me financial loss, extreme inconvenience, and mental stress. The vehicle is unreliable and unsafe for regular use. Requested Resolution: I respectfully request the following: 1.Immediate replacement of the defective battery under manufacturer warranty, or 2.Assignment to a qualified EV service facility that can properly diagnose and replace the battery, a INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Dec 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE I was driving and all of the dash lights came on simultaneously and I lost power braking ability while on the interstate. I was able to pull over and the truck shut off. I had to call a tow truck because it would not start back up. The AAA servicer reprogrammed the battery which turned all of the warning lights off except for the "push brake to start" warning and the truck will still not start because of this. The tech with AAA advised there is a recall related to this issue but my VIN search returns no results.

Dec 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The instrument cluster on my vehicle has failed intermittently and/or completely, resulting in loss of speedometer visibility and loss of critical warning indicator information. This includes safety-related alerts necessary for driver awareness, such as warning lights and vehicle status indicators. Due to this failure, the vehicle is unsafe to operate because the driver cannot reliably monitor speed or receive safety warnings required for safe driving. A repair order was opened at a Ford dealership to address this issue. The vehicle is covered by an extended warranty provider, which approved a repair request related to the instrument cluster failure on December 16, 2024. The warranty provider further confirmed approval for instrument cluster replacement on December 22, 2024. These approvals confirm the defect was acknowledged and authorized for repair. Despite the safety defect remaining unresolved, the dealership closed the repair order. Ford corporate customer service has confirmed that the repair order shows as closed on their end, even though the instrument cluster failure has not been corrected and the vehicle remains unsafe to operate. Closing the repair order disrupted manufacturer responsibility tracking and reimbursement eligibility while the safety defect persists. As a result, I have incurred out-of-pocket expenses including towing, rental vehicle costs, and related transportation expenses. This instrument cluster failure constitutes a safety-related defect under DOT and NHTSA guidelines because it prevents safe operation of the vehicle. I am requesting manufacturer accountability and corrective action to ensure this safety defect is properly addressed and tracked.

Dec 2025 POWER TRAIN,WHEELS I purchased this vehicle from Ford about 2 months ago and brought it in for service over 4 weeks ago. The service department inspected the hub bolts and declared the vehicle unsafe to drive until the recall is completed due to sheered bolts. Although the recall says the parts are available, that is apparently not accurate. This is a huge safety issue and Ford put my family at risk when they decided to sell me this vehicle with the bolt issue and no parts available to remedy the situation. Dec 2025 POWER TRAIN The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 20 MPH, the vehicle violently jerked while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal while coasting the vehicle to the shoulder of the highway. Despite the failure, the contact placed the vehicle in 4WD, and the vehicle resumed normal operation. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where a diagnostic test determined that the driver’s and passenger’s side rear axles had broken and caused the failure. The contact was then notified about NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V512000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact was provided a repair number by the dealer and was instructed to contact the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was notified several times about the recall, and the contact was later provided a case number. The vehicle was not repaired and remained with the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.

Dec 2025 EXTERIOR LIGHTING,LANE DEPARTURE Rear Taillight assembly filled with water due to a crack. The water caused the bulb to burn out. Dealer tried to get Ford to cover the taillamp and the manufacturer denied the claim stating the crack was not a flaw in manufacturing. The dealer also said that they have seen several of these where the manufacturer wont cover this component under the bumper to bumper warranty. This assembly has never been tampered with, the truck has not been in an accident. The failure of this taillight is likely caused by over torqueing at ASSY at the plant. Besides being costly this is a safety hazard when brake lights and taillights fail. Also..this assembly I find out houses the module for the blind spot monitor.

Dec 2025 EXTERIOR LIGHTING The driver side headlamp did not work. I noticed both left and right headlamps had moisture inside. I took my truck to the dealership and they told me I would have to get an appointment for them to take digital images of the headlamps to send to Ford Motor. So they sent me home with only one headlamp in working order. I made the appointment. It took 2hrs to get the digital images. A crack appeared at the bottom of each headlamp at the exact same spot. I left the dealership the second time with only one headlamp working. 24 hours later, Ford Motor told the dealership they believed it was caused by an outside collision and would not be covered by the bumper to bumper warranty. The dealership offered to replace at cost and suggested I contact the State Attorney General’s office and try to mediate Ford’s decision. I made an appointment to replace both headlamps after the weekend at their earliest opening. I have kept the faulty headlamps. I believe Ford Motor is trying to mitigate cost of a faulty product at the expense of public safety. The States Attorney General attempted to mediate. However, a Consumer Affairs Legal Analyst from Ford wrote that the warranty was denied because the headlamp was damaged in a car accident. It was not.
