| Dec 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | My vehicle has under two thousand miles on it and it has randomly made a sound while driving 35 mph or below of rumbling sound underneath the truck. It sounds like I'm driving over rumble strips. I am attaching a link from a FORD forum where others are reporting this problem with the 2023 ford f150 xlt. I called FORD and they said to register the issue on this website. There is also a youtube video concerning the sound. | Nov 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,WHEELS | Tire monitoring system malfunctions after 30ish minutes of driving. Seems the issue is interference from the on board power generator referred to by ford as “pro power onboard”. After the tire monitoring system turns on, immediately turning off the pro power generator the tire monitoring system returns to normal. After researching this issue it’s very common and has been on going through multiple years with no fix. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,BACK OVER PREVENTION | The back up camera screen is constantly freezing up or the screen goes black. When this happens the driver has no control over any audio, navigation or other settings that are linked to the screen. The only way to get the screen to come back on or unlock the frozen back up screen is to turn the vehicle off and let it time out. This happens at least 3 or 4 times a week. When dealership was asked about it, was told they don’t have a fix for it and it’s a common problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES | My 2023 Ford F-150 keeps having an issue where the electronic parking brake will engage while I'm driving. The issue has happened to me at least five times. Luckily for me I was going between 5-10 miles per hour and did not have any vehicles around me. However, the issue can be dangerous if I vehicles behind me and the parking brake engages with no warning. Once the parking brake engages the only way to turn off the parking brake is to do it manually. There was a recall regarding the same issue for F-150s 21-23, but my vin number was not part of the recalled because my vehicle was probably manufactured after the Feb 25, 2023, listed on recall 23S35. I called Fort customer service, and they were no help besides telling me to take the vehicle to the dealership. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SEAT BELTS,SERVICE BRAKES | The dash cluster randomly shuts-off/restarts while driving the vehicle and when it did last time ford app sent 3 notifications of faults with antilock brakes, TPM, restraint indicator warnings. If there is an issue with these items and I have road emergency and my brakes and restraints do not work properly it could be a safety issue for all involved in accident (I would not know how fast i was going since dash cluster is off). I took the truck to dealership and they are passing it off on SSM 51757 (which my truck also has an issue with) and a loose pin connection. But this happens with no checking of trailer tire information. The speakers made a loud crackling noise and my phone disconnected from infotainment center just prior to the incident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | PARKING BRAKE | The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V509000 (Parking Brake) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | POWER TRAIN | Significant clunking in the transmission, purchased this 2023 brand new. Ford dealer tells me this is normal but it feels like this truck is going to break down at any moment. Disruptive shifting all over this place, very sloppy. I am also getting excessive exhaust smoke from the tailpipe, almost looks like the truck is on fire every morning when I start it up. Smells awful too. Dealer again states all of this is “normal”. Not sure what Ford is compensating dealers with but they are going to have a real issue here soon with upset customers if they keep producing trucks like this. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | This is my second F150 that has had severe vibration through the floorboard, steering wheel and gas pedal. The last one the torque converter and steering failed. Both trucks were brand new. This is a serious safety issue. My foot goes numb after about 15 minutes of driving from the constant vibration. Ford acts as this is normal, but this issue has been well documented in the Ford community. There have thousands of similar reports made to Ford Motor Co. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES | I was slowing down for a corner and was going approximately 5 mph when the emergency brake activated without any action on my part. The truck came to a stop with 3 or 4 jerking motions. I released the brake and continued with my drive. The truck had about 1500 miles on the odometer at the time and I have had no problems since. This week I heard of the recall which doesn't cover my truck. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | The morning of September 28th, weather conditions ranging from mist to torrential downpour. Between Glasgow, KY and Glendale, KY. Wipers were set between intermittent and fast, depending on conditions. On (5) occasions (it may have been six), when the wipers were changed from an intermittent position to fast, the wipers would malfunction. The wipers were in high speed. The wipers were about 1/4 way up from the rest position during the cycle and they STOPPED. The pause lasted between 0.5 and 2 seconds (my estimate). Then the wipers would go to full advance position and return to the home position in normal speed. Once the wipers passed the home position and started the next wipe cycle, they resumed high speed motion. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | Ac lines freezing. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | STRUCTURE,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | 1. Issue number one parking brake engages on and applies the brakes while the vehicle is moving. I had this issue happened to me at least three times; luckily I was not going very fast when it happened. Additionally, Parking brake light will come on at random times. (is not Auto Hold) 2. Multi-functions switch that controls turning signal gets stuck in the up or down position after engaging the switch to change lanes. When attempting to flip the turning signal to off the switch will get stuck and will only go back to off or neutral position after forcing the switch up or down. Additionally, when forcing the turning switch to the off position, it causes the high beams to turn on. 3. Pre-collision assist warning will come on at random times while driving. I have had this happen to me almost daily when I'm driving into work in the morning. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES | The contact rented a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to slow down as needed. The contact stated that multiple unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 300. | Crash: No Fire: No | 300 |
| Sep 2023 | POWER TRAIN | Front differential is bad. First broke it clanked and was banging. Now its a growl/grind under acceleration and deceleration. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | At 300 miles, air conditioner lines froze up. Took to dealer; wouldn't fix it. At 700 miles, air conditioner lines froze up again. In 100+ temps outside, this is a safety issue the dealer refuses to fix. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | While driving at approximately 45 mph my parking brake warning light and message on the instrument panel cluster came on, on several occasions. I also recently experienced an unintended activation of the electric parking brake while driving. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The center console lid (work surface style console lid), continues to fall closed due to the springs not being strong enough to support the weight of the lid in the open/up position. If you are not paying attention or holding the lid open/up, it will slam close/down without warning. Since the lid is open, you can assume the inside of the console is being accessed, thus the lid slams closed on hands/fingers. It is bad enough for adults, but is extremely dangerous to the small hands of children. I have reported the issue to my local Ford Dealership and to Ford Corporate. Currently there are no recalls or solutions to the issue. A quick search of the internet, shows how big an issue this is on the Ford F-150's | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Upon the first drive of a '23 Raptor, within 20 miles of driving the TPMS sensor warning lights up on the dash. This immediately caused a loss of data (no PSI data) on at least 2 tires shown on the truck's dash display. There is a loss of data on the FORD app also that corresponds with the dash display. This will only reset after the truck is off and parked for a reasonable amount of time. This occurs EVERY trip in excess of 20 miles. In the Ford Raptor Forums it appears this issue is persistent anywhere from 17-30 miles into a trip. This issue/error prevents the safe operation if it is unknown whether tire pressure is low, or there is another issue at hand. The truck has been at FORD at least 4 times in order to assess the problem. From "resetting" the system, replacing the ECU, replacing additional electrical components and still having the same issue. The issue has been replicated at the dealer level - hence the numerous attempts at a fix as mentioned above. Apparently a work-around is shielding the Pro-Power - the power chord is causing interference with the truck's electrical system. This problem is persistent with numerous 2023 F-150 Raptors, and it appears to correct itself TEMPORARILY if you turn off the Pro-Power...which of course turns off numerous electrical outlets in the truck. Again, this issue prevents the safe operation of the truck - the sensor is set off during every drive, and although its apparently caused by RF interference, we have no way of knowing if there is an actual anomaly in the TPMS system. Will it read correct if a tire is dangerously low - is unknown whether tire pressure is low, or there is another issue at hand. Is the Pro-power affecting RFI in other electrical/safety components??? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC | The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 30-36 MPH, he noticed that a vehicle had stopped in the middle of the roadway. The contact depressed the brake pedal to avoid crashing into the other vehicle, but the brake pedal went down to the floorboard, and the vehicle failed to respond. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact swerved off the road and ended up in a ditch. The contact turned off the vehicle however, the vehicle failed to restart when pressing the PUSH to START button and depressing the brake pedal, due to the brake failure. The vehicle was towed to the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist without a diagnostic test report from the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 10,020. | Crash: No Fire: No Towed | 10,020 |
| Jul 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Excessively loud speaker sound on B&O unleashed | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Reporting this after the second time this incident has occurred. Shortly after starting the vehicle, there was an extremely loud electrical/static pop coming from the speakers, followed by extremely load static noise which went on for several seconds. The noise was so loud, that it caused ringing in ears. The noise was not related to the volume control of the speakers, as turning the dial all the way down to zero, or turning the volume off, had no effect on the noise. To stop the noise, I turned the vehicle off. This occurred while I was in a parking lot, and fortunately not driving, but would have been a dangerous and disruptive situation if it had occurred while driving. Reading into this online, it sounds like this is not an isolated occurrence, and others are experiencing an even worse version of the problem that will not stop until the battery is disconnected. Also reports this is happening in the middle of driving. I'm nervous to drive the vehicle now. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | My truck features the B&O speakers and initially I heard a very loud pop on the passenger side of the vehicle. Radio and CarPlay was playing but no sound was coming from the speakers. Then an extremely loud static noise vibrated the entire truck through the speakers at full volume. I had family in the car and it scared everyone. Pulled over and shut the car off and the static persisted until the electronics fully shut off. Went back in the truck and turned it on and the static continued. On the 3rd try 5 minutes later the static finally stopped and everything worked “normal”. | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 5 | Unknown |
| Jun 2023 | POWER TRAIN | While sitting at a traffic light, the gear shift switched to park from drive with my family inside the vehicle. The vehicle would not move and the gear shift continued to switch back to park when I attempted to get out of the roadway, leaving me and my family in a dangerous spot. I have video of the gear shift moving to park. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2023 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Battery is bad. Drove truck 4600 miles without issue, went to start truck and battery was dead. Needed to jump start truck, drove for 30 minutes, parked it and measured 12.2V. Charged truck overnight, measured 12.6V. Drove to work 30 minutes, parked 10 hours, drove home 30 minutes, measure battery at 11.08V. I could not start the vehicle and get out of the area I was in. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2023 | STRUCTURE,VISIBILITY | Panoramic sunroof panel exploded while driving the vehicle. The sunroof was closed with shade extended. Less than 2 months new. No debris/ collision or object came in contact with the vehicle. No other vehicles were within either side of the road. The glass panel shattered completely with a very loud explosion noise , raining glass into the truck and onto myself(driver). There were no warning or reason or symptoms prior to the event. I drove the truck to the Ford dealership for a warranty repair after the explosion they ‘inspected’ and reported Ford would not cover this because the glass shattered. Dealer and manufacture are avoiding responsibility for my safety. Truck is at dealer. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
