|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dec 2024 | AIR BAGS,STRUCTURE,SERVICE BRAKES | Product recall caused multiple accidents in vehicle resulting in permanent injuries | Crash: Yes Fire: No Injuries: 1 Towed Medical attention | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | When I attempt to fill my 2022 Ram 1500 (55,000 Miles) with gas the valve at the base of the tank (part of the evap system) prevents it from taking gas. The dealership told me it was a safety issue (no kidding) and I needed a new fuel tank. As it turns out this is a really common issue with these Rams and when they pulled the spare tank they had in stock, it had a broken fuel nipple at the top of the tank (which also seems unsafe). Is anything being looked into regarding these gas tanks? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES | ABS stability control alarm. Truck went into limp mode. Took for ever to get up to speed. Recall nationwide for 1.5 million vehicles reported in September 2024. There is still no fix. Nor have I been contacted. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC,ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC) | The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving at various speeds and depressing the brake pedal, the brake pedal gradually travelled down while vibrating, and the vehicle failed to respond as needed. The contact stated that upon depressing the brake pedal harder the vehicle responded as needed. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V653000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Electronic Stability Control (ESC); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 15. VIN tool confirms parts not available. | Crash: No Fire: No | 15 |
| Dec 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY/WIPER | My sun visor detatched and fell on my head while driving causing me to swerve into the median. I took it in and was told it's a common issue for RAMs, The dealership called MOPAR to file a clain, MOPAR insists the sun visor is a trim and not a safety related vehicle component designed to keep the driver from being blinded by the sun. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | POWER TRAIN,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | At a stoplight waiting for best turn available, truck tells me to shutoff vehicle and restart. THe e-brake was engaged so I was sitting in middle of intersection while event occured. Could not proceed or disnegage ebrake until after shifting truck into park, restart the vehicle and then disengage ebrake. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Automatic braking system has came 3 different time with out anything near the vehicle. First two times it happened I thought maybe something ws there I did not see, the third time I had two people witness the event and verified there was nothing behind the vehicle when the automatic braking stopped the vehicle abruptly. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | While towing, the cluster presented "Service Electronic Throttle" warning, lost the ability to accelerate (limp mode), and also lost electronic skid control. Code P00AF was stored. The turbocharger is now being replaced. This is a serious safety issue that is being reported by hundreds of owners of FCA products with this engine across their brands. The same repair is being applied regardless if it is Ram or Jeep, replacing the turbocharger. There is clearly a safety issue and it seems that nobody is doing anything about this widespread safety issue. It is far from isolated and someone will inevitably become seriously injured as a result of this no known flaw if it remains unaddressed by the NHTSA and FCA. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,AIR BAGS,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | From day one when entering a roadway it would start to move putting me into traffic then just refuse to go leaving stranded for about ten seconds then move again, the whole time it would shudder and shake by engine and the transmission and it was like the system were all fighting for control. Next when entering a freeway I pulled on to the on ramp and immediately got up to 50mph and started to merge and it bogged down like it lost fuel and again I was almost hit by traffic but they avoided me. There are numerous problems with the infotainment system to the point of distraction, most of these problems are transient but on going, they fixed some of them with software updates but then a new crop will pop up. I have not been able to trust the truck since I’ve owned it so I have had to cancel all the plans I made when I bought it. I think two years is long enough to wait to use what I paid for. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | ENGINE | On 3 separate occasions, each involving a stop light that changes from red to green as the vehicle has come to nearly a complete stop, I pressed the accelerator and the engine died. The vehicle responds by automatically shifting the transmission into park and setting the emergency brake. Two of these times there has been a car behind me who narrowly avoided rear ending me. The vehicle has restarted each of these times but auto start/stop does not seem to work for a while afterward. I now disengage auto start/stop each time I start the vehicle and have not experienced the problem with it disengaged. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I am writing to formally express my concern and dissatisfaction regarding the safety recall repair on the tailgate latch of my 2022 Ram 1500, which was completed on January 8, 2023. Despite the repair being marked as “completed,” I have continued to experience issues with the tailgate latch, indicating that the recall was not fully effective. Given that this recall was issued for a critical safety issue, I am concerned about the ongoing risk it poses and the failure of the repair to resolve the problem. I would like to request that the issue be addressed as soon as possible, and that the vehicle be inspected to ensure that the recall repair is truly complete and functional. Please provide me with guidance on the next steps to ensure that this safety concern is fully resolved. I look forward to your prompt response and a satisfactory resolution to this matter. Thank you for your attention to this urgent issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | I keep getting a check engine light because of voltage issues related to the etorque system. Also receive a battery icon and volt gauge shows 11v. The code says everything from overcharge to under charge and all kinds of electrical codes. I have been to dealer multiple times. At first they did nothing but last visit they did a control module software update. Code did not appear for a few weeks and last weekend it came back. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | STRUCTURE | The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the driver’s side sun visor was lowered; however, the sun visor lowered more than normal, blocking the view of the highway. The contact used force to place the sun visor back into the up position. The contact stated that the force needed to put the sun visor in place caused concern that the sun visor attachment point to the roof might become fractured. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 40,000 |
| Nov 2024 | BACK OVER PREVENTION | Rear parking sensors do not pick up objects or sensor will beep very delayed. If a child was behind my vehicle I doubt it would detect. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Nov 2024 | ENGINE | On November 19, 2024 I was driving my kids to school this morning. It was a clear morning and the roads were dry and clear as well. I was still in our subdivision. I put my blinker on to make a right hand turn and slowed down to a stop. After confirming there were no cars coming, I intended to make my right turn and my engine stalled. I pressed the gas pedal to confirm and the vehicle engine did not respond at all, it just coasted. The message on the dash instructed me to put the truck in "park." As there was another vehicle behind me wanting to turn as well and to avoid any accidents, I put on my hazards to allow the car behind me know I was not moving so they could go around. I then pressed the brake, put the truck back in park. And then I had to restart it again. This is a very scary issue and the dealership's advice was that since there was no actual recall "yet" they would charge us about $200 to do a diagnostic first and then see what the issue was. Our vehicle is a 2022 Ram. I only drive this vehicle to do school drops off/pick ups and I work from home. We've already had to replace the starter assembly at 39.093 miles. And now the engine is stalling while the vehicle is in motion at only 43,000 miles right now. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

The contact stated that while the vehicle was driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact depressed the brake pedal, and he was sitting at the stop light when the ABA warning light illuminated. In addition, the contact stated that whenever the vehicle was stopped and sitting for a period of time, the ABS warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The dealer was made aware of the failure, however the contact was informed that the parts were unavailable. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V653000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Electronic Stability Control) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. | Nov 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I have had multiple incidents of my 2022 Ram 1500 ETorque, when coming to a stop the auto start stop system engages and when I let my foot off the brake to take off the truck will not start the engine back. It will engage the parking brake and shift into park, sometimes will start back with the start button depressed. I have had at least 4 different incidents where it leaves me sitting in heavy traffic in a dangerous spot. The CEL has come on twice, other times the "Service Start/Stop System" and "Service Charging System" have come on. I have had it to my dealer in Fayetteville, Arkansas 4 times. They have reprogrammed the ECM, the Hybrid Module, and the Motor Generator Unit, with no improvement in issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | ENGINE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | On three occasions within 72 hours, and while towing a vehicle up an incline, the vehicle presented the "service electronic throttle" malfunction indicator. The vehicle lost power and would not accelerate. The design of the road that I was travelling upon during two of the events, had no shoulders. The third location where the error presented was on heavily travelled two lane highway. In all three circumstances the failure presented risk to my personal safety losing substantial ability to operate the vehicle in a predictable and reliable manner. This failure is not anecdotal. There are literally hundreds of unique instances being reported across just one owner's forum alone. Hundreds more on others. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | As I was driving up my driveway preparing to stop in front of the garage, the Ram accelerated out of control, as if someone else was driving the truck. I could not stop it, even with my foot on the brake, until the truck crashed into my house. Even stopped, the engine was revving/racing until I turned the ignition off. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Towed | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | While coming to a stop, the vehicle shutdown on its own and caused the auto parking break to enable. This caused a disruption in surrounding traffic. There were no warning lights or other indicators either before or after the incident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
