Feb 2023 ENGINE My Palisade 2022 was only on 10k miles when the coolant tank is completely empty. I can see coolant on the engine bay floor as well as my garage floor. There is definitely a leak which drained the coolant. This is an urgent situation since my engine could stop working on the road anytime. Checking the Palisade forum, there are numerous incident like this so this is a systematic design failure on the cooling system.

Feb 2023 SEAT BELTS In the passenger side second row captain seat, our son who is in a high back booster seat has buckled his seatbelt. We had heard the click. The seatbelt warning light has indicated the seat belt was buckled. About an hour into the ride we hear the warning bell that a seatbelt has been unbuckled. He had not unbuckled it or touched it. It just undid itself. Was it not fully locked to begin with ? Would it have come out if we had gotten into an accident??? Why was there no warning light if it was indeed not fully locked? This has happened twice now and concerned if the seatbelts are reliable. The most recent time occurring this past week, 2/10/23

Feb 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER At just over a year old, I have experienced a CRACKED WINDSHIELD. I believe this was caused by a small pebble hitting the windshield but I do not believe that should have caused a cracked windshield on such a relatively new car.

Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
Feb 2023 VISIBILITY Driving on a highway on 1/13/2023 and suddenly the sunroof exploded! It sounded just like a gunshot when it happened. Nothing at all hit the vehicle or sunroof, just a spontaneous explosion with glass going everywhere. Luckily there were no injuries to the driver from falling glass and we did not go into oncoming traffic on a two lane highway. It was extremely startling! This car only has about 8,000 miles on it, we bought it new in November 2021. I contacted the dealer where it was purchased. Fortunately they saw fit to repair it free of charge to us, and provide us with a loaner car.

Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
Jan 2023 VISIBILITY Driving on the freeway and heard a loud noise coming from the ceiling of the vehicle. I opened the sunroof shade and saw that my glass was spontaneously shattered!! There was no trees or anything over the vehicle, I was driving in an open area.

Jan 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER If the weather is snowy, or there has been snow built up on the windshield the windshield wipers fail to operate until you pull over and clear the windshield cowl of 100% of snow in that area. This happens while driving and while parked. Imagine driving down the road in a severe snowstorm and having your windshield wipers just stop working on a whim, and you have to pull over to the side of the road, where there may not even be a shoulder to pull off to, so that you can clear the wiper sensor. Then 5 miles later you have to do it again because heavy snow built up.

Jan 2023 STRUCTURE,VISIBILITY Two days ago, my husband took our vehicle to the car wash. At the other end of the car wash, it was discovered that the closed panoramic sunroof was completely destroyed during the process. Shards of glass were everywhere. We have contacted Hyundai and they have told my husband there is no class action suit about this problem. Even though it is under warranty, as it is a 2022, they refuse to take responsibility to take care of the damages. I have found through my research, that this was a class action lawsuit, which was closed in 2017, but continues to be a very bad problem for not only Hyundai but many other vehicles using a particular type of glass. we are now unable to get the parts to repair it, as the glass company cannot get a part from Hyundai, and Hyundai refuses to comply comply.

Jan 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated while driving during a snowstorm, the front windshield wipers became inoperable, creating a visibility hazard for the driver. The contact indicated that snow buildup inside the wiper motor had caused the failure. The failure was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The local dealer and manufacturer were not yet notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10,900.

Jan 2023 SEAT BELTS Multiple times while I am driving the drivers seatbelt comes unmatched. This does not happen during a specific time like hard breaking. It just randomly comes out and the alarms start going off. It has occurred 3 times in the last 2 months. They are unable to fix the problem for 3 weeks

Dec 2022 UNKNOWN OR OTHER When driving down the road with my 7 year old in the vehicle, the single moonroof spontaneously exploded. No warning signs whatsoever, the vehicle is garage kept and there was no impact to the roof of the vehicle. The glass exploded outwards. The safety issue this creates is the glass particles. The loud is incredibly startling which could cause an accident. This was confirmed to have happened before by a buyer at the servicing dealership.

Dec 2022 VISIBILITY Yet again the wipers failed to operate with a small amount of snow buildup on the wiper arm. I see a recall for the 2020 and 2021 Hyundai Palisades but not for my 2022. I feel this is extremely dangerous and needs to be remedied ASAP. Having to pull over on a busy snowy highway to clear the snow buildup just to get the wipers to work is a catastrophe waiting to happen.

Dec 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM While in operation speedometer was not working. Zero indication on mph gage and needle. Erratic operation. On sometimes, off zero sometimes. Both gages. The contact stated that upon attaching the trailer to the tow hitch of the vehicle, the tow hitch failed to operate as needed as there was no indicator lights that the trailer was hitched to the vehicle. The contact stated that he replaced the electrical wiring of the trailer himself; however, the failure persisted. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V633000 (Trailer Hitches). The dealer removed the tow hitch fuse as an interim repair. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Nov 2022 UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY I started the car this morning and literally saw a crack develop and run approximately 10” in the front wind shield. The car was stationary, and had not been driven in the last couple of days.

Nov 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM This vehicle was recalled due to an electrical issue with the towing wiring harness. I took it in to a dealership for the repair and over a month later, learned it wasn't actually repaired. They simply took the fuse out and reported it to the manufacturer. I wasn't told this wasn't being repaired or that the wiring was being disabled. I towed a small boat a few weeks later and as it got dark, figured out the lights weren't working. I called them today to let them know the repair wasn't done and this was when i learned they didn't actually repair it. I also was not notified by the manufacturer of the recall. I was told about it by a relative. When i contacted them, they said they weren't responsible for notifying me.

Oct 2022 VISIBILITY The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the sunroof glass exploded. There was no impact on the sunroof to have caused the sunroof glass to shatter. The sunroof screen prevented the glass shards from entering the cabin of the vehicle. The contact did not sustain any injuries. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the sunroof glass needed to be replaced; however, the replacement part was not covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. Oct 2022 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Our vehicle was purchased and taken home on 04/29/2022. On 05/06/23 we took the care in for an alignment issue, as the car drives right off the road, to the right. Dealership said it was off, at 200 miles only. They realigned and gave it back. It happens again, right after leaving the dealership. Car was taken back again on 05/06/22 for realignment yet again. Dealership rotated tires and realigned. This did not work again. So the third time, 06/23/22 we received another rotate and realignment. Again, this did not help, and a new front strut was ordered. The would drive right off the road, to the right, every time. Creating a major safety issue for our two toddlers, and family. The front strut was installed on 10/12/22. The dealership has been frustrated due to not being able to fix the alignment. Mind you, brand new car, 2022 Palisade. Front strut put on, but the vehicle is veering right again. Even the driver who picked the car up said he noticed the problem. Cooperate said we must get a second opinion from a Hyundai dealership before they can intervene. We have taken this brand new car to the same dealer at 200 miles, 1,000 miles, 5,000 miles and most recently for the strut. We’re going to get into an accident and Hyundai beats around the bush.
