May 2026 STRUCTURE I had the recall performed to reinforce the upper grille deflector on my truck because there was risk of it flying off at highway speeds. Last week driving down the highway my grille deflector flew off and had the car behind me not swerved, they would have been struck by it. I have an appointment at my dealership tomorrow.

May 2026 ENGINE I have the GM 6.2 L engine in my 2022 Denali and had the recall Pico test performed August 20th 2025 and the truck passed, they changed the oil and cap and I was good to go supposedly. 5,000 miles later I had the oil changed again and everything looked fine, I drove the truck another approximately 1500 miles and the engine suddenly seized with no indications and no warning. That occurred on April 12th 2026. It is now May 3rd 2026 and I am still waiting for an engine.

Apr 2026 ENGINE I own a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4. The vehicle developed a clear engine knocking noise. I first brought the vehicle to the dealership while under 150,000 miles for inspection related to a recall. The dealership only performed a computer scan and oil change and stated no issue was found. No mechanical inspection was performed despite the noise. The issue continued and worsened. I returned to the dealership and the vehicle was kept for three days. During that time, the dealership again denied the existence of the noise and stated the vehicle was operating normally. When I picked up the vehicle, I immediately noticed the same noise and requested the technician to inspect it again. At that time, the technician acknowledged the noise and confirmed it was related to the recall. Despite this acknowledgment, General Motors declined to repair the engine and closed the case, offering only partial assistance toward purchasing a new vehicle instead of fixing the defect. The failure to properly diagnose the issue during the initial visit and the subsequent denial during the second inspection allowed a safety-related mechanical defect to worsen. This condition may result in engine failure or sudden loss of power while driving, creating a serious safety risk. The engine noise indicates a potential internal failure which could lead to sudden loss of power while driving, creating a safety risk. The initial failure to properly diagnose the issue may have allowed a safety-related defect to worsen beyond repair. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing excessive oil consumption. The messages "Put Vehicle in Neutral" and "Check Oil" were displayed. The failure occurred on several different occasions. The contact stated that the vehicle was serviced under an unknown NHTSA Campaign Number; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer, where it was determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 28,000.

Apr 2026 STRUCTURE Front chrome hood deflector detached while driving down the interstate. Had a recall on the deflector, recall was performed and the chrome deflector still detached. Tried to get GM to repair and they declined my recall claim. GM stated my 3 year bumper to bumper warranty had expired and they did not have to fix it. This is an extremely hazardous condition and should be covered.

Apr 2026 ENGINE our truck has the GM 6.2L V8 engine in it. We had the “recall” done where they recommended thicker oil. Despite that recall work we still had catastrophic engine failure and GM’s solution is terrible. A new engine that can have the same issue?

Apr 2026 ENGINE My 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X experienced an engine failure requiring full replacement under warranty. The vehicle was out of service for approximately 46 days. After replacement, the vehicle experienced additional electrical issues and unsafe operating conditions. The replacement engine has now failed again in under 8,000 miles. A dealership performed diagnostic testing (Pico scope) which failed immediately and recommended another full engine replacement. I have been advised not to drive the vehicle due to safety concerns. This appears to be a repeat defect that was not corrected by the initial repair.

Apr 2026 ENGINE I am reporting two separate stall/loss of propulsion events on my 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Limited (VIN: [XXX] ), which is subject to NHTSA Recall #25V274000 and GM Special Coverage XXX (L87 Engine Loss of Propulsion). INCIDENT 1 — April 16, 2026: While decelerating off a highway exit ramp, the vehicle stalled without warning. The dashboard prompted me to shift to neutral and restart. I performed a rolling restart successfully and continued driving. This stall occurred while decelerating on a highway exit ramp with vehicles traveling at highway speeds behind me. The sudden and unexpected loss of propulsion created a significant rear-end collision risk. INCIDENT 2 — April 17, 2026 (next day): While traveling at approximately 40 MPH and climbing a hill under load, the vehicle stalled a second time. The dashboard again prompted a neutral restart. This time the vehicle would not restart. All I heard was a single click from the starter, followed by a complete dash reboot. The vehicle lost all power repeatedly upon restart attempts. I was stranded on a narrow, high-speed rural road in Standish, Maine during rush hour, with vehicles passing at speed. I was in serious danger. The vehicle was towed to Weirs GMC in Arundel, Maine (the selling dealer), where it currently remains for diagnosis under RO# XXX. Both stall concerns are documented as Warranty Pay. Additional concern: Since the day after purchase (March 28, 2026), I have noticed a pronounced cold-start tick originating from the bottom end of the engine, confirmed by an independent mechanic as coming from inside the engine. This vehicle passed a Recall #25V274000 inspection on December 28, 2025 at 98,233 miles. The tick and stall events began after that inspection. I am requesting this be formally documented as a safety complaint tied to Recall #25V274000 and Special Coverage XXX. Apr 2026 ENGINE I was exiting a main highway and when I let off the accelerator the engine died unexpectedly with no prior signs of failure and would not turn over to restart, luckily I was able to coast onto a side street out of the way of moderate traffic. I called GM roadside assistance and had the vehicle towed to my local dealership. The service department confirmed that the engine was seized and needed replaced. My vehicle went through the L87 recall and passed inspection last fall at 29,400 miles, had another oil change at around 33,500 miles. The engine failed at 37,800 miles. I am the original owner and have always maintained the vehicle to GM standards. I feel that the recall is not solving this problem, because the engines are failing anyway. At this time my vehicle has been at the dealership service department for three and a half weeks, and is waiting on the replacement engine. The dealership has provided a loaner vehicle.

Apr 2026 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM I was driving to work when my vehicle’s check engine light illuminated, accompanied by a warning message stating, “Low oil pressure—turn vehicle off.” I immediately followed this instruction and shut the vehicle off. When I attempted to restart it, the engine cranked repeatedly before finally starting, but the same warning message reappeared, prompting me to turn it off again. A few months prior, I had the vehicle inspected at the dealership, where I was informed that it passed the 6.2L engine national recall inspection. On April 9, 2026, the vehicle was towed to the dealership for further evaluation. On April 10, I was contacted and informed that technicians could hear a metallic noise coming from the engine. However, they stated that the readings from the PICO test were not high enough to meet the criteria for engine replacement. The dealership recommended replacing the camshaft position sensor but could not confirm whether this repair would resolve the issue. They also indicated that I would be responsible for all associated costs. Despite the presence of concerning symptoms, including abnormal engine noise and repeated warning messages, I was advised that General Motors would not approve an engine replacement unless the engine either completely seizes or fails both required diagnostic tests. At this time, my vehicle has only failed one of the two tests. As a result, I have been left without a reliable and safe vehicle, which is significantly impacting my ability to commute to work. This situation places me at risk of financial hardship and potential job loss. I am seeking a resolution that ensures my vehicle is properly diagnosed and repaired so that it is safe to operate.

Apr 2026 ENGINE 16 year old was driving down the interstate, Truck stopped accelerating out of no where and lost speed while in the middle lane. Steering wheel locked up, Car showed Oil pressure issue. Was told to shift to Neutral and restart. Barely made it to the shoulder. App showed only a battery issue and no other alerts. Thankful we did not get hit as cars were flying by on either side on the interstate. Could have been a serious accident. The dealership confirmed that the engine needed to be replaced. Truck had full 50,000 Mile service recently. Also, had passed the GM recall and were told the engine wasn't effected 9/20/25. No warning lights or issues prior. Completely out of the blue.

Apr 2026 ENGINE We were driving down the interstate at speed and the Engine shut off unexpectedly. The truck flashed a notification on the dash asking to turn it back on. Pressing the on button would not turn the truck on. The tow truck company also couldn't get it to shift into neutral so he had to drag it up the tow truck After getting towed to a dealership they told us they had no one to look at it that day so we got a hotel room 5 hours from home and in the morning they said the engine is siezed and will need to be replaced.

Apr 2026 STEERING,POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM This is in addition to the first report regarding my 2022 GMC Sierra SLT with 10-Speed Transmission. I had previously filed a complaint (NHSTA Tracking# 11728418.) regarding the OnStar and Internet quitting on me. Which was the Serial Gateway Module. I had reported that I was put off many times regarding a loner vehicle so i could get back and forth to my Oncologist for treatment of Head and Neck Cancer. And years of follow-up appt. with specialists Gastrointerologists and Cardiologist for serious issues incurred from 168 intense radiation treatments and Chemo. I had also taken my truck in for all scheduled maintenace intervals specified by the dealer and the manufacturer. "REPAIR ORDER GCCS504610" I had to leave it in the shop for 30 days for a defective Exhaust System, Radio, Charging Port, Remote Key Fob not able to unlock the truck so i could get in. And some other warranty/recall issues regarding my A/C blower and Seat cushion blower motor and Trailer Brake Switch, Fog Lamps running while daytime running lights were on - All Safety issues, My truck was @ Beck & Masten GMC for 30 days during these repairs, recalls and warranty. Will attach INVOICE 123532 to show consistant sheduled maintenance per GMC guidelines. Waited while this service was performed. "REPAIR ORDER / INVOICE 140542" Again my truck was back at Beck & Masten GMC (19 days) for the Serial Gateway Module and Radio not working AGAIN! Again, no OnStar, No Internet, No GPS. And, I reported the oil consumption and Add OIL light coming on; which was dismissed as idling too often (. I had to add 2 qts of oil between scheduled oil changes(The truck had only 13754 miles at this time) The LAST time I had anything to do with Beck & Masten GMC South was when I spent over months waiting on a loaner vehicle because I needed them to please look into still having an oil light coming on. And slipping and front end wobble just before the slipping/clucking and high RPM's that were dangerous- accident!!
