Apr 2026 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM I was driving to work when my vehicle’s check engine light illuminated, accompanied by a warning message stating, “Low oil pressure—turn vehicle off.” I immediately followed this instruction and shut the vehicle off. When I attempted to restart it, the engine cranked repeatedly before finally starting, but the same warning message reappeared, prompting me to turn it off again. A few months prior, I had the vehicle inspected at the dealership, where I was informed that it passed the 6.2L engine national recall inspection. On April 9, 2026, the vehicle was towed to the dealership for further evaluation. On April 10, I was contacted and informed that technicians could hear a metallic noise coming from the engine. However, they stated that the readings from the PICO test were not high enough to meet the criteria for engine replacement. The dealership recommended replacing the camshaft position sensor but could not confirm whether this repair would resolve the issue. They also indicated that I would be responsible for all associated costs. Despite the presence of concerning symptoms, including abnormal engine noise and repeated warning messages, I was advised that General Motors would not approve an engine replacement unless the engine either completely seizes or fails both required diagnostic tests. At this time, my vehicle has only failed one of the two tests. As a result, I have been left without a reliable and safe vehicle, which is significantly impacting my ability to commute to work. This situation places me at risk of financial hardship and potential job loss. I am seeking a resolution that ensures my vehicle is properly diagnosed and repaired so that it is safe to operate.

Apr 2026 ENGINE 16 year old was driving down the interstate, Truck stopped accelerating out of no where and lost speed while in the middle lane. Steering wheel locked up, Car showed Oil pressure issue. Was told to shift to Neutral and restart. Barely made it to the shoulder. App showed only a battery issue and no other alerts. Thankful we did not get hit as cars were flying by on either side on the interstate. Could have been a serious accident. The dealership confirmed that the engine needed to be replaced. Truck had full 50,000 Mile service recently. Also, had passed the GM recall and were told the engine wasn't effected 9/20/25. No warning lights or issues prior. Completely out of the blue.

Apr 2026 ENGINE We were driving down the interstate at speed and the Engine shut off unexpectedly. The truck flashed a notification on the dash asking to turn it back on. Pressing the on button would not turn the truck on. The tow truck company also couldn't get it to shift into neutral so he had to drag it up the tow truck After getting towed to a dealership they told us they had no one to look at it that day so we got a hotel room 5 hours from home and in the morning they said the engine is siezed and will need to be replaced.

Apr 2026 STEERING,POWER TRAIN,ENGINE This is separate for VIN 3GTUUDEL5NG657492 I had to change dealerships because Beck & Masten South / GMC would NOT provide me with a loaner after being told I was on the list and I was next in line. I waited a month and drove to them and spoke with the girl who oversaw loaners. I explained I had severe safety issues such as front-end wobble which is related to transmission issues. And the oil consumption issue and oil light. Once again, I was re-assured the loaner program was indeed still active and I would be put on priority. Again to no avail I had wasted too much time with Beck & Masten. After months of this I found out I did not have to take it to the dealer I bought it from. So, I took it to Monument Chevrolet. I explained my concerns related to the front-end wobble which was very intermittent. And the oil consumption issue which I was very concerned with due to the year model and mileage of the truck. Also, the 75,000.00 price tag was really has me extremely upset... Monument Chevrolet treated me well. I had actually brought it in and called about the steering which was greatly affected by the severe front end wobble more than one time. I was told at first the oil consumption was pretty normal. Until I told them how much I had to add between changes. I have attached two work orders to this complaint. These work orders show what was done at 18017 miles and 18323 miles. The later work order was when the PICO test was done. Also, an oil consumption test was started once I picked the truck up. After I had driven it for 2077 miles and was bringing the vehicle back to Monument Chevrolet, as instructed for the oil consumption results, when a loud squeeling, then hard knock, power loss and I pulled over. I called Monument and was instructed if I could get it to start and bring it. I drove it to them while knocking and rough running. It has been in the shop for over 2 months for an engine replacement. 2077 miles after recall work! REFER TO: COMPLAINT 11729716

I had previously filed a complaint (NHSTA Tracking# 11728418.) regarding the OnStar and Internet quitting on me. Which was the Serial Gateway Module. I had reported that I was put off many times regarding a loner vehicle so i could get back and forth to my Oncologist for treatment of Head and Neck Cancer. And years of follow-up appt. with specialists Gastrointerologists and Cardiologist for serious issues incurred from 168 intense radiation treatments and Chemo. I had also taken my truck in for all scheduled maintenace intervals specified by the dealer and the manufacturer. "REPAIR ORDER GCCS504610" I had to leave it in the shop for 30 days for a defective Exhaust System, Radio, Charging Port, Remote Key Fob not able to unlock the truck so i could get in. And some other warranty/recall issues regarding my A/C blower and Seat cushion blower motor and Trailer Brake Switch, Fog Lamps running while daytime running lights were on - All Safety issues, My truck was @ Beck & Masten GMC for 30 days during these repairs, recalls and warranty. Will attach INVOICE 123532 to show consistant sheduled maintenance per GMC guidelines. Waited while this service was performed. "REPAIR ORDER / INVOICE 140542" Again my truck was back at Beck & Masten GMC (19 days) for the Serial Gateway Module and Radio not working AGAIN! Again, no OnStar, No Internet, No GPS. And, I reported the oil consumption and Add OIL light coming on; which was dismissed as idling too often (. I had to add 2 qts of oil between scheduled oil changes(The truck had only 13754 miles at this time) The LAST time I had anything to do with Beck & Masten GMC South was when I spent over months waiting on a loaner vehicle because I needed them to please look into still having an oil light coming on. And slipping and front end wobble just before the slipping/clucking and high RPM's that were dangerous- accident!!

Mar 2026 STEERING,POWER TRAIN,ENGINE I reported problems with my truck to Beck and Masten South GMC. I was put off a number of times with ridiculous excuses. My vehicle sat in the shop for a month to get my OnStar safety equipment repaired. I also had arguments with them regarding the oil light coming on and it burning excessive amounts of oil. I was told this was normal. I know better. Also, I needed to get it back into the shop for service and inspection for a squeeling noise under the hood. And to have them check the oul consumption. I was told it idle too often, and this was the reason oil was dissapearing. I was told they would put me on the loaner list so I could have means to get to my oncologist for cancer care. Well, I called numerous times because they never furnished a loaner for these issues I was told a third, then forth time I was next in line for a loaner so I could drop it off for repairs and recall work. After 8 months of these lies I finally went to Monument Chevrolet. Beck and Masten never intended to help me. Total I had tried and was told by newer service advisors, the manager, and GMC this would be remedied over 10 times in over 6 months. I finally gave up and moved on to never return to this dealer I had purchased two brand new GMC 1500 trucks from in a two year time frame. I did get my OnStar gateway repaired by replacement. It had stopped working again, shortly after getting it back. I kept getting put off. They stated it needed another Gateway for OnStar. I kept calling, and was told they would contact me ince it came in. I ended up troubleshooting the entire modem/router assy. I found inconsitant configuration parametrs. So, I reconfigured it all from start to finish after clearing the memory by taking battery cables off and allowing it to power down and clear memory. Then I did perform a reconfiguration and username/password change as well. I repaired it myself. The Onstar has never acted up again. These were my first issues. I had to take it to Monument Chevrolet for service

Mar 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE The contact owns a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the driver's side seat vibrated, and the automatic high beam feature disengaged, and the lane change indicator became inoperable. The message " Crash Sensor System Inoperable" was displayed. The dealer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to temporarily disconnect the battery. The contact followed the instruction; however, the failure recurred a day later. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that there was a glitch in the crash sensor system. The dealer determined that the system needed to be updated. The vehicle was repaired out-of-pocket. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact that the failure was a maintenance issue, and the repair was at the owner's expense. The failure mileage was approximately 51,000.

Mar 2026 ENGINE The truck currently has 48000 miles. The 6.2L L87 engine was replaced at 17000 miles. A few weeks ago, I parked it, went to a ballgame, came back 4 hours later and started the truck. Drove it approximately 500 feet and lights started flashing on the dash. It was running rough, had loos of power, and sounded like a diesel. I immediately shut it off and had it towed to a dealer. The lifter on the number 3 cylinder stuck and bent the pushrod. The dealer replaced all lifters on that side of the engine. This all happened after it was checked for the recall and the thicker oil was put in.

Mar 2026 ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM The failure involved the engine (6.2L L87 V8), specifically suspected internal components such as the crankshaft and/or connecting rods, as identified in a current recall. The vehicle is currently located at Dennis GM in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and is available for inspection. On March 9, while driving the vehicle normally on a main highway, the engine suddenly lost all power without warning. The accelerator became completely unresponsive and the vehicle rolled to a stop in the middle of a main highway. The engine would not restart. Due to the electronic gear selector, the vehicle could not be shifted into neutral, leaving both the truck and trailer immobilized in a live traffic lane. This created a serious safety risk to myself and other motorists, especially as I was in an area without cellular service and could not immediately call for assistance. The problem has not yet been formally diagnosed, as the vehicle remains at the dealership awaiting inspection. However, the symptoms are consistent with known failures described in the recall affecting these engines. The vehicle had previously undergone recall inspection on September 1, 2025 and was cleared at that time. The vehicle has been inspected previously by an authorized GM dealer as part of the recall process, but no defect was identified. It has since been towed to Dennis GM following the failure and is pending further inspection. No police or insurance inspections have been conducted. There were no warning lights, messages, or prior symptoms before the failure. The engine failure was sudden and without any indication of an issue beforehand.

Mar 2026 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE A few weeks ago my adaptive cruise stopped working, as well as the automatic high beam system (not sure the technical name). As there was a warning light displayed, I brought it into the dealership to have them check it out. The technician jumped in really quick, made some changes within the control panel, and the light came off. As I drove out and tried to use the adaptive cruise control, it didn't work and I almost went into the back of a truck. That all being said, I brought it back into the dealer last week for them to diagnose the problem as a failed front windshield camera. I find it hard to believe that this camera can fail at 50k miles, and the repair with parts and labor costing approximately $1000. This is an advanced system designed to improve the driver experience and heavily marketed. Considering this is tied to safety in some capacity, shouldn't GM cover this repair? I quickly googled the issue and found others have had the same failure. The camera system combined with the control panel covers so many applications, I would be concerned about other issues with the truck. Not to mention the massive recall of my L87 engine and water pump failure that I have also dealt with. I appreciate you taking the time to read my rant. Not sure if this will do anything, but it would be nice to have some sort of relief from the OEM due to the issues I have already experienced owning this truck.

Mar 2026 ENGINE While driving at 72moh, the engine started to knock/tick and then shifted into neutral indicating to press the start button again. Once I coasted to a stop, the truck shifted into park by itself and indicated to hit the start button again at which point it was completely locked up and inoperable. The vehicle had an engine replaced at 13,000 miles and currently has 54,000 miles on it. It now needs another complete engine replacement. The vehicle also had the recall inspection done in DEC/2025 and found no issues.
