| Date | Component | Summary | Severity | Mileage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jan 2023 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | Wipers in slow and fast speeds seam to go to intermediate on their own, the only way to get them back into full wipe mode is to go back and forth between slow and fast speeds! | Crash: Yes Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2023 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | With the wipers in the continuous on, high speed setting, the wipers will operate as expected for approximately 30 to 40 seconds. After that time, there will be a delay between wipes that becomes progressively longer until the wipers are only occasionally wiping the windshield. When this occurs during rainy conditions, visibility deteriorates considerably. Manually switching the wipers into a different setting, then back to continuous on will cause the wipers to operate as expected for another 30 to 40 seconds, at which point the progressive delay occurs again. There are no warning lights or other symptoms that are related to this behavior. The vehicle has not yet been inspected or serviced by the manufacturer for this issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2023 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Was stopped at a red light. On green light, accelerated. Vehicle stop in the middle of the intersection. Would not initially restart. After waiting a bit. Vehicle restarted. Very busy intersection. Dangerous situation. Vehicle has 2,700 miles on it. 2 Error messages through Ford app. 1, vehicle has reached its lean limit. 2, Fuel pressure regulator or associated parts issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | During moderate to heavy rain when the windshield wipers are on constant low speed or high speed they will operate normally for 60 to 90 seconds then go into an intermittent wiping mode. This cause very poor visibility increasing the chance for an accident. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership (Newberg Ford in Newberg Oregon) for warranty repair and was advised this is normal operation. The dealership staff provided me with Ford Technical Service Bulletin SSM 50692 and said there was nothing they could do. The bulletin states that the wiper speed could be reduced if the windshield is dry or obstructed to prevent damage to the wiper motor. I continue to have the wipers reduce speed on a WET windshield with no obstructions. I have video to demonstrate this. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | Unknown- t he wipers on the bronco do not stay at the correct speeds for severe rain or snow. If I have them on high they work for a bit and then start to slow down and make it hard to see so I have to turn them off and on again to keep the speed at a pace where I have visibility. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | The wipers will slow down when operating at low, high, or intermittent. Ford claims these are "Smart Wipers" I believe there is an issue that requires a feature correction or re-flash of the related program to correct. I have to continually adjust the wiper control knob to re-set the wipers to the proper speed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | Wiper blades slow down or stop working when raining. Have to constantly adjust the wiper control. Only have 500 miles on the car | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | POWER TRAIN | 2022 Ford Bronco that I've owned for about 2-3 weeks. Started it up and went to drive off this morning, and I received a '"Check 4x4" error, followed by "Service Vehicle Soon". This ultimately has locked the vehicle into 4WD-High and makes it not only more difficult to drive, but is also prematurely wearing tires as it's driven and adding a lot of unnecessary stress to the vehicle as corners are taken. I've taken it to the local Ford dealership, where they weren't able to pull any useful codes or information for a quick fix unfortunately. As I've researched into this further, this sounds like a frequently occurring issue; wherein a problem with an axle solenoid or a powertrain control module seems likely blames. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | If windshield wipers are placed in normal or fast mode they start out fine, then get slower and slower until they stop completely. I needed to toggle between normal and fast just to keep them working. (I verified I’m NOT in interment mode). | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | When the windshield wipers are set to normal operation (not intermittent), the wipers would slow down and sometimes stop completely after a few wipes. There is no a automatic wiper mode. This is a safety defect on a new car. The wipers would stop during heavy rain. It does not matter if the vehicle is moving or not. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | The windshield wiper will not stay on continuously. It malfunctions every time I have it on continuous low or high speed. I was driving in heavy rain with the windshield wiper on high continuous speed. After about 30 seconds it goes into intermittent mode, only cleaning the windshield every 3-4 seconds or so. It makes driving very difficult in the rain and dangerous as I cannot see the road. Same thing happens on the regular continuous speed setting. It is reproducible every time I use the wipers rain or shine. I checked on the Ford Bronco Forum website, and it is a common complaint. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | There is an open recall on my vehicle for possible poor adhesion between the windshield and body (violation of federal motor vehicle safety standard FMVSS 212). I took my vehicle to a Ford dealership on 12/5/22 for this repair, as well as the repair other minor issues. I received a call on 12/7/22 from the dealership to inform me that they would not perform the recall fix due to the fact that my windshield has a crack across the middle and could possibly break during the removal. They said that I need to have the windshield replaced at my own cost, then bring it back in so that they can remove the new windshield and perform the recall fix. Nothing in the recall notification says that the windshield must be in "like new" condition in order to be eligible for the repair. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | POWER TRAIN | The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact stated while driving approximately 5 MPH and attempting to shift the manual transmission from first to second gear, the transmission failed, and the clutch went to the floorboard. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had the vehicle towed to a local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the clutch had burned, and the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 4,500. | Crash: No Fire: No Towed | 4,500 |
| Dec 2022 | WHEELS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I am filing a complaint because as I was driving my new 2022 Ford Bronco Big Bend the front passenger wheel popped off. There was no previous warning signs to let me know something was wrong. It seems as though the bolts/ lug nuts just snapped as I was driving. The tire popped off rolled back hit the car causing it to bounce and then fall and drag for a bit before I was able to come to a full stop while the wheel rolled down the street. This caused a lot of damage to the car from body to suspension. Luckily I was traveling at low speeds so I was not injured and luckily no one else was near to be injured by the run away wheel. I had the car towed to AutoNation Ford in Katy where they and insurance representatives inspected it. AutoNation has had the car for over a month and they still have not fully repaired the vehicle. I do not fully understand what went wrong. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | The vehicle started leaking fuel from under the passenger front fender. We were able to get the vehicle off of the highway. When I opened the hood it appeared that the leak was coming from the top area of the engine. The vehicle was towed to a Ford dealership and we are waiting for the reason it was leaking. This vehicle is a bit over 6 months old and has less than a thousand miles on it. I am aware that Ford has a recall on the Bronco Sport model but mine is a regular Bronco with the 2.7 liter engine. There were no warning lights or buzzers prior to this incident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Inside above the rear seats is a metal bar and it’s invaded with plastic. At first the plastic where the screw is at cracked all around the bar in 2 places. Now the plastic is completely off of the bar . Ford is saying it’s normal wear and tear and it’s NOT… | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2022 | ENGINE | The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact stated while starting the vehicle he heard a rattling nosing coming from the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that after the vehicle warmed up, the sound went away. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the mechanic confirmed the abnormal sound coming from the vehicle, but no failure was found. The manufacturer was contacted and advised the contact to reach out to the NHTSA Hotline and file a complaint. The failure mileage was 12. | Crash: No Fire: No | 12 |
| Nov 2022 | SEAT BELTS | Front passenger seatbelt buckle will not engage the latch plate. Vehicle was inspected by dealer after customer complaint. Dealer informed customer that seatbelt buckles were all inspected and working normally. This issue is still occurring on intermittent basis. Was told by dealer that it would not "accept a video showing the problem." | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2022 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | Bronco has less than 43 miles. Took vehicle on highway and went to go pass a semi and the vehicle lost all power. This could of caused a wreck if there was someone behind me trying to pass the semi as well. Took back to the Dealership and the turbo failed on my brand new Bronco. Please see Bronco6G for someone who is logging a list of other members that had similar issues. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/2-3-2-7-failed-turbo-list-7-counting-slowly-working-on-list.59162/ | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2022 | ENGINE | Brand New Bronco Black Diamond Edition. Driven 1000 miles and now engine will not accelerate. Loud noises coming from engine with multiple warnings from the app: 1) powertrain / 4 wheel drive fault 2) transmission Control module / electrical fault with transmission sensor and it’s associated wiring 3)power train control module has detected one of the transmission speed sensors readings is operating outside of the expected range for the vehicle | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Nov 2022 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Randomly the following takes place while vehicle is in motion at various speeds… Hill assist warning followed by (in rapid succession) pre collision assist not available, antilock brake fault Then the brakes momentarily give out then come back in non-powered mode which dangerously locks up the wheels when stopping System then resets itself Bronco6g forums have reported similar issues | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2022 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | We received a recall notice letter from our dealer, AutoNation Ford Bellevue, with instructions to call their service department. We cross checked our recall status by entering our vehicle's VIN on the NHTSA website's Recalls page and verified that there is indeed a recall associated with our vehicle. However, when we called the dealer, the dealer claimed that there is no recall for our vehicle in their system and refused to perform repairs. In our second attempt to contact the dealer, the service representative forwarded our information to an advisor, claiming that recalls with this campaign number must be scheduled by an advisor, but the advisor never called us back. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2022 | SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Vehicle reported Anti-Brake Fault. Vehicle reported Pre-Collision Fault. Vehicle reported 4 different hill start Assist Failures. I noticed the Pre-Collison feature did not work because the breaks never activated when there was a sudden merge into my lane going 65 miles per hour. The car says that the pre-collision feature is enabled but did not respond to a vehicle that came close to causing a wreck. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2022 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked and not driven for more than 30 minutes, the headlights turned on independently. The contact stated that the failure had been intermittent however, the frequency of the failure had increased. The contact stated that the headlights warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the four-position headlight dial could be rotated beyond the point where the markers on the dial indicated the level of lighting. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer. The vehicle had not been diagnosed and had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA ID Number: 10214159 (Exterior Lighting). The failure mileage was 2,177. | Crash: No Fire: No | 2,177 |
