| Sep 2025 | ENGINE | Vehicle has used an abnormal amount of oil since new Now uses 1 quart of oil every 500 miles Have been trying to get recall inspection done for three weeks with no response from dealer or manufacturer | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Got Engine Light and Reduced Power Message. Took To My Chevrolet Dealer Engine Codes P0700 and P0747 Which are Transmission Control System Malfunction and Pressure Control Solenoid A Stuck On. When this happens the truck stalls but keeps running in Limp Mode. I was told by Chevrolet Dealer it was a common problem with the 10L80 Transmission and it needed a New Valve Body installed. Because it is a common Problem it could take 2 weeks to 2 Months to come in and would be covered under warranty and DRIVE THE TRUCK UNTIL IT COULD BE REPAIRED, | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I have contacted a dealer on 3 occasions to help me with an unrepaired recall. I contacted GM directly regarding the recall. They won't look at my truck to determine what needs to be done. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC) | The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds in inclement weather, the ESC warning light illuminated. The contact stated that while making minor steering adjustments or turning to the right or the left, the vehicle skidded. The contact was able to make an adjustment to the steering wheel to regain control of the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle was idling roughly and was vibrating noticeably while stopped at a traffic light or while slowing down for traffic. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. Recently, while driving at 45 MPH, the vehicle shuddered and unexpectedly downshifted to first gear. The check engine warning light illuminated, and the RPMs elevated to 4,500 RPM. The contact pulled over and stopped the vehicle, and the vehicle was turned off and restarted. The vehicle was revving abnormally and failed to shift out of first gear. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer but was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V797000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 92,000 |
| Sep 2025 | ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING | The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended and lost motive power. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the side of the road. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine had thrown two rods and the crankshaft, and the engine had seized. The dealer replaced the engine; however, the vehicle was difficult to start for two days after it was picked up from the dealer. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a harness connection failure. The vehicle was repaired; however, the vehicle made an abnormally loud squeaking sound at startup. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with idle pulley failure. The vehicle was being repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000. | Crash: No Fire: No Towed | 80,000 |
| Sep 2025 | ENGINE | I am writing to formally report a serious issue with my 2022 Chevy Silverado which I purchased brand new. Within just a few months of ownership, during a routine oil change, I was informed by the service technician that there was an oil leak. I took the truck to the dealership, and they claimed the issue was resolved by replacing the oil pan. However, the oil consumption continued, without knowing and still, no warning lights ever appeared. As the engine is the heart of any vehicle, this ongoing issue posed a serious safety risk, especially while driving on the highway. Eventually, after the warranty expired, the engine issue worsened. I contacted GM and the dealership again, but I was told that GM could only offer minimal assistance toward a new engine — despite the fact that this engine exhibits the same oil consumption problems reported in other V8 engines currently involved in lawsuits and recalls. I believe this is a manufacturer defect that should have been properly addressed under warranty. The failure of the engine so early in the vehicle’s life, with a known issue that matches recalled engines, is unacceptable. I am seeking a fair resolution, including full coverage of the engine replacement. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | AIR BAGS,STRUCTURE | Safety Concern and Costly Repair – 2022 Chevy Silverado Rear Window Leak. I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding a known defect in the 2022 Chevy Silverado involving the sliding rear window. The window is prone to leaking, and in my case, every time it rained or I went through a car wash, the headliner above the rear seats became saturated. Upon consulting with the dealership, I was informed that this is a documented issue and that a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) has been issued. They advised immediate repair due to the risk of water intrusion damaging the electrical wiring associated with the airbag system. This poses a significant safety hazard, as compromised wiring could result in airbag malfunction or failure to deploy during an accident. Despite this being a known manufacturing or design flaw, I was charged over $800 for the necessary repair. Given the potential impact on critical safety features, this issue warrants urgent attention and accountability. It is deeply concerning that such a defect could jeopardize passenger safety and yet result in a substantial out-of-pocket expense for the owner. I strongly urge a review of this matter and consideration for reimbursement or broader corrective action to ensure customer safety and trust. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING | See attached document for complaint. When contacting my local dealership, Dick Hannah Chevrolet located in Sandy Oregon the Service Representative BXXXXX explained to me that they could not complete service in the form of inspection. BXXXXX recommended that I defer my request for a month. This is an example of Chevrolet, and the local dealership combining in a course of action meant to deceive their customers. While on the one hand they indicate an interest in activating the recall on the other hand they refuse to provide service. The customer, me, is left in no mans land with a serious recall condition unable to seek resolution. My request, investigate both the Company, Chevrolet, and the dealership and pursue resolution as the recall is intended. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I was slowing down when coming upon another vehicle. When I accelerated there was no power and I realized the engine had stalled. I was in the outer lane of 3 lanes of heavy traffic and was able to coast into a parking lot and stop. Luckily I was in the outer lane and in the right place at the right time to be able to get out of traffic. I got a text message instantly from OnStar saying to have the engine and transmission serviced immediately. The engine would not start. I called my dealership and told them what happened. They gave me a phone number for a tow service who towed the truck to their dealership garage. I had no prior messages or symptoms that the engine was going to fail. The dealership removed the faulty fuel pump module and replaced the fuel pump control module. I feel very fortunate that my wife and I were at a place where we could exit the highway and get help quickly. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | When I bought the truck it was working fine. Went through Chevy and got all the inspections done before buying the truck and it worked fine. About 2 months later my front collision automatic breaking, lane keep and assist, and automatic high berms stopped working. I’ve talked to many other Silverado owners and this is happening to them too. Even when trying to reset it. With the amount of times this has happened to all these Silverado’s a recall should absolutely happen because having to pay for this is crazy when it’s happening to so many vehicles | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | My forward collision light what on sp i took the vehicle in to have it fixed under warranty. Upon having that part replaced the dealership informed me my OnStar module (unsure of technical name) was bad and that the vehicle would be inoperable until it is replaced. The part is on backorder with no ETA. My safety is a major concern as this module controls several safety braking features and with me unaware of its malfunction a collision would have caused severe injury or death. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,SERVICE BRAKES | While towing a camping trailer, the brakes for the trailer kept issuing a warning saying "connected" then "not connected - check trailer brake wiring". Then "trailer brake not connected". After a while the brake system stopped working entirely. The 30 amp fuse that controls the trailer braking system blows out. This fuse is not a common fuse and not available at some auto parts stores (not really convenient while towing away from home). Evidently there is a problem with the brake control module that is factory installed. The module does not like the charging system on the trailer battery. I have spent hundreds of dollars and many hours in different shops trying to trace down this problem. It is very unsafe to have the trailer brakes not work while driving. This faulty module needs to be recalled. Part # 23306694 | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Code p0307 misfire on cylinder 7. Have gotten code 3 times in last month. Lights on dash and reduced power. Less than 50k miles when first occurred. Turn off and back on all lights gone except for engine light which goes off in a day then runs fine. Dealer quoted $3k+ to replace injectors. $60k+ for a new vehicle it should last more than 2 years and 50k miles. 5 yr 60k mile engine and power train warranty but they pick and choose what components to cover. After looking online I see many owners with same issues. Some with hardly any miles. Other recalls done with different motor sizes. HELP!!! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES | The trailer brake controller goes off and on. A message in the truck reads trailer brakes off, trailer brakes on, check wiring. Repeats every 45 seconds or so. You never know when you have trailer brakes or not. Did not have trouble prior 3 years with a different truck? I saw 2022 trucks had a safety recall but my Vin was not included, which it should have. Very dangerous. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | fuel pump control module failure Very dangerous truck stalled in middle of road and was almost hit by 18 wheeler Internet is full of module failures Someone is going to get killed | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING | The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle was jolting and slamming, but the brake pedal was not depressed. The engine made knocking and screeching sounds. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed by an independent mechanic, who determined that the engine had failed. The dealer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 25,000 |
| Aug 2025 | ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING | The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the contact was informed that parts were not available. In addition, the contact was advised not to drive the vehicle because of the unrepaired recall. The contact was informed that if he continued to drive the vehicle after being advised of the risk, the manufacturer would not cover the repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue but provided no assistance. The contact had not experienced failure. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | GM is recalling the Fuel Injector Flow Rate system but is unwilling to fix damaged parts from the Flow rate being off. My Engine has Misfiring, pitted Cam, camshaft lobe wear, valves and needs a new head stemming from the Fuel Injector Flow Rate being off. GM is refusing to support their product. This is a known issue GM is having with these engines. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | POWER TRAIN | The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle lost motive power. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that on two different occasions, while in the middle of the road, the contact was able to restart the vehicle, and the vehicle operated as intended. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the transmission valve body needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and was working with the contact to address the failure. The failure mileage was 93,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 93,000 |
| Aug 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | My front passenger side turn signal goes into hyper flash and doesn’t work and my back driver side turnsignal and brake light does the same thing, so when I’m turning other divers have no clue that I’m turning that way which is dangerous, I’ve looked online and seen a lot of other drivers with this same issue and seems to not been resolved yet. I’ve paid a lot of money for this truck and I shouldn’t have this problem, what do I need to do to get this resolved without spending my money for a problem that I did not cause? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | ENGINE | General Motors has identified a problem and will not fix or replace the car or engine. I have asked multiple times and there is no answer as to when this recall will be fixed. This is unsatisfactory, it explains that this can cause engine failure and still no answers from GM about this. They owe every single vehicle a replacement motor before someone gets hurt. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Complete transmission valve body failure. 27,000 miles on truck. Unacceptable. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I was driving down the road at speed when the gauge cluster lost power and reset, the truck jerked violently. A couple days before the truck lost all electrical power (lost gauges, door locks, interior lights, door locks and ignition) while idling. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | ENGINE | Dealer (Bob Howard in Edmond Oklahoma) has failed to address Recall N252494000 for over 90+ days now after several inquiries from owner. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
