| Mar 2026 | ENGINE | My GM Silverado 2022 with 68k miles was recalled at 60k miles for the P0016 failure code involving the internal components of the L87 6.2L engine. The truck was promptly scheduled for testing and taken into the authorized dealer. The truck passed inspection. A very short time later (approx 8k miles or less) the 6.2L engine had a CRITICAL ENGINE FAILURE WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, the truck lost power after alerting a "CRITICALLY LOW OIL PRESSURE, SHUT ENGINE DOWN IMMEDIATELY". The vehicle shut itself down and I was left in a very dangerous situation with traffic and other serious hazards. The truck lost oil pressure and shut down which is a major safety concern as this rendered my GM truck without power; engine shutdown occurred WHILE DRIVING. This is AFTER I was assured the vehicle was 100% ok and NOT defective. It is not only defective, itr had to be towed on a semi truck and left us stranded in an unfamiliar place, again safety is a major concern in this area in addition to the earlier safety issues presented for my truck. It did have the P0016 code, which was found out when towed to the dealer, who also stated that the oil filter was "absolutely full of metal shavings". The dealers shop foreman stated they were going to disassemble the engine and see how bad the damage is as he stated it was VERY SEVERE. So much so that the dealer ordered a completely new engine but have no idea of arrival or when the vehicle will be done/completed. I reported this to GM Corp. office and stated my valid safety concerns but was quickly denied any resolution even in the face oif evidence by the dealer and my repeated efforts to tell them that I do NOT trust this specific truck any longer because it is a safety hazard and has already placed me in harms way. GM is not working to resolve my extreme concern regarding safety of this specific vehicle that had passed the engine recall test yet had a critical engine failure and loss of power while driving. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The onstar module goes bad I have a 2022 with 60,000miles and they won't replace it and want to charge me $1,000 on a $80,000 truck. I'm not the only one I've seen multiple people with GM vehicles with the same exact issue. The people with super cruise (car drives itself) it will cause it to stop working. Not even the clock will work because onstar controls updating it I can't even connect to WiFi to have it fixed. If I manually set the time the next week it is 5 min behind the next 10 and within a month it's 20 mins behind. I'm pretty sure the SOS button won't work either | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | BACK OVER PREVENTION,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Since the truck was updated under the recal N242435631, the camera system guidelines no longer work, which is a feature that was sold as part of the the vehicle. This system no longer works and I fear there are other safety systems that may no longer work. GM is refusing to fix the software issues that were caused by this recall update. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Mar 2026 | ENGINE | While driving on interstate the screen said press button to start and the engine turned off on a steep uphill. After attempting to restart I tried to safely get to the shoulder without causing a wreck. This left us on the side of interstate for hours on a blind hilltop with trucks coming feet from us. After towing to the dealership they notified me that the engine was done and it fell victim to the recall that Chevy just had on the 6.2. Mind you I had already brought this truck in for the recall inspection and it supposedly passed | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES | The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado LTD 1500. | Feb 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | The truck is jumpy during stops. I get a low voltage code but the battery is fine I had it checked out. Reduced acceleration has been activated and after I turn the truck off it is fine. The check engine light comes on and turns off on it's on sometimes same day. I know there is a recall on certain 2022 Silverados but they told me this one wasn't on the recall. It did have one for the brake system they said. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Feb 2026 | ENGINE | I started my truck and was driving it started to shake and felt forced. Making a sound vibration . I received a message on dashboard " Reduce acceleration drive with care" it felt like I was going to loose power so I turned into the parking lot and had it towed to chevrolet dealership for service. The safety was good in the sense that I parked the vehicle into a parking lot to prevent accidents in the freeway. The dealership claims it's my engine needs replacement. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Feb 2026 | POWER TRAIN | My wife borrowed my truck and went to Costco, after backing out of the parking spot the truck sputtered and stalled in the lane of travel. The truck would not start and more importantly she was not able to get it into neutral. The truck would simply state "shift conditions not met" and would stay in park. There is no options listed in the manual to get the vehicle into neutral manually. This "shift conditions not met" bricked my truck in the entrance / exit of a busy Costco. What would have happened if this happened on a main road or a freeway? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | My vehicle lost reverse. It can not reverse what so ever. I was in traffic when it happened thankfully someone where there willing to help. I was told I needed a valve body, after spending 3k plus I was then told the transmission has to be replaced. And its a common thing with these vehicle losing your ability to reverse while driving is very very dangerous. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Feb 2026 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I own a 2022 Chevy Silverado with a 6.2 liter engine. I had the original engine up until approx 80k in mileage when it failed, I was on a dark country road doing approximately 50mph and the propulsion system failed and the truck shut off, being a country road, I had minimum breaking and minimal steering. I had my [XXX] son in the car, we ended up in a culvert and I scraped either a large rock or a piece of concrete that sometimes line culverts, it did damage. At the time, until recently, I had no idea I should report this. I did know that GM had issued a recall and I believed the engineer would be covered, which it was. I never reported the damage to insurance as I didn't want my ins to go up anymore, so I have not fixed it yet. My [XXX] old was scared beyond belief. Anyhow, Williams Chevy in Elkton, Md replaced the engine free of any cost. I believe the dates are approx to be 9/26 to 10/25/ 2025.On or about 11/25 or 26th 2025, with approx 2k miles on the newly installed 6.2 liter engine, while traveling with my [XXX] son, I experienced another catastrophic engine failure. This time we were traveling on 896 in Delaware and rt 40. While crossing over, the car cut off completely again while traveling at 50mph. We barely avoided a collision on the other side of the intersection with merging traffic, I applied the Manuel breaks along with the power steering was out too. My spouse was angry that GM is still doing this knowing this could be the result.Upon the 2nd installation, I dropped the truck off on the above date. It took until 1/5/26 bor approx 1/9/26.On approx 2/12/26 I had the oil changed at a local jiffy lube. This was conducted at 3400 miles, less than the manufacturer suggests with the new 40w oil. Anyhow, yet again, my truck had zero rewarding on the dipstick. I have paperwork for both engine installs and the jiffy lube paperwork documenting the no reading on the dip stick.I am a disabled veteran and this is an unsafe and unreliable fix from GM. | Feb 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,LANE DEPARTURE | Truck went into limp mode. Would not shift. Stayed in one gear and would not back up. The truck basically downshifted from 8th to 2nd gear, causing me to lock up the brakes and almost lose control. Several warning lights on the dash. It's been at a transmission shop for over 3 weeks. They are having issues being able to get parts from GM. They are having problems fixing it. The blind spot lights will turn on for no reason. The lights opposite of the vehicle comes on. I've almost wrecked multiple times. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | they did the pico test they said the engine was good they upgraded the oil months after that 3 time back to the dealer do to loss of Propulsion its in a GM dealer SHOP waiting for the new long block as of 02-16-2026 | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | The raido screen glitches randomly and wont let you use it. The engine has a bad shudder while driving. When the engine shudders the RPMs go down. It has hard shift most of the time after sitting over night and starting driving in the morning. It has been doing these issues for at least 6 months. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | SEAT BELTS,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Loud chatter/rattle noise under acceleration and idle loss of power with no engine lights on dash metallic shards in oil. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ENGINE | I had the GM 6.2L motor recall test, it passed. Catastrophic engine failure at 50mph roughly 6000-7000 miles later. Luckily I got off the road safely. Confirmed by GM dealer, new engine has been ordered. No warning lights. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ENGINE | The engine coolant control valve went out on my vehicle. It is an 2022 LM2 engine. I found that that part frequently goes bad prematurely on this model. I also determined that this should be covered under N252508341. I was told by GM customer support that based on my vin it is not covered and they would not give me any further information. This is outrageous as this is the same defective part covered on their extended warranty. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
