| Jan 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | My engine had to be fully replaced @ 28k miles due a crankshaft bearing failing and sending metal shards through my engine. Stranded me on the side of the highway for three hours. Was able to get to the shoulder before it seized up.Also my entire wiring harness and ECU had to be replaced shortly after the engine. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Two separate but related incidents: 1. Sudden complete loss of power on a busy highway interchange. I had to pull over in an unsafe merge point. The truck would not start and had to be towed to a dealership. The tow driver was eventually able to start the truck and load it on a flatbed. The dealership had the vehicle for 3-4 days and replaced the starter and a fuse. 2. Second incident happened approximately 24 hours after getting truck back from the first incident. Sudden loss of power coming up a large hill. Truck completely died and would not start again. Tow truck driver could not get the truck started and therefore could not get the truck in neutral. Tow truck driver had to drag the truck on to a flatbed and tow to a dealership. Dealership reported metal in the oil filter and requires complete engine replacement. The incident happened on December 16th, 2024. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | ENGINE | Complete engine failure at 20k miles due to common lifter issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | ENGINE | Our check engine light came on 12/17/24 for a oil pressure sensor issue. We promptly brought the truck to the shop where they changed out the sensor, completed an oil change and manually checked the oil pressure. They advised us that the truck was good to drive and there was no indications of any further issues on 12/20/24. 3 hours into our drive on 12/21/24 our engine sized going 80MPH with no warning at 64,000 miles. We got the truck towed to the closest GM dealer where they let us know that the engine had seized. We still have yet to get a clear answer as to what caused the engine to seize other than that it is a "known issue". There were mentions of the lifters as well as storage issues by GM (i.e. their engines were stored in sheds where they may have gotten wet prior to install). GM offered a good will warranty at 60% coverage. They have ordered that engine but no timeline has been given (other than "months" followed by a laugh) because they are on a nationwide backorder. They also have yet to give us any documentation of what occurred and what is being offered by GM even though it has been requested 5 different times. Seems that if you're having a big enough problem to be on a backorder on the engine that this should be pushed to recall and we should be receiving 100% coverage. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | ENGINE | I experienced rod bearing failure in my L87 6.2L engine at 27k miles. Luckily it didn't seize up while driving, but they did fail as I was driving home. Decided to report this after reading that it is becoming a common problem, but not a recall issue yet. GM is going to replace the engine, but there is no time frame whatsoever. I've seen people complaining about not having their repairs done for months at a time. I'm currently on week number two & counting. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | -Bearing Failure -My Safety was put at Risk due to the vehicle instantaneously Stalling in the middle of a 4 Lane interstate without any prior warnings. -The vehicle has been diagnosed by 2 dealerships which both state that receiving a new engine is near to impossible due to this exact issue to be happening to a lot more of the same vehicles at the same time. So unfortunately they cannot confidently give me an ETA or anything in regards to my vehicle even being fixed. -Yes by 2 GM Mechanics -No Warnings at all, the major concern is that there were no warnings at all. As well as leaving me stranded in the middle of a busy Interstate. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jan 2025 | ENGINE | GM has issue with Part restriction on the bottom end of the motor and rocker bearings going bad. No recalls on this just TSB. With that being said the motor blew a rod through the block because of the part restriction on the bottom end of the motor. GM wont fix it because it just a TSB. GM states that this is an issue the customer needs to fix and to look out for these issues. Even though the bottom end of the restriction is a catastrophic failure when there motor fails. I was 20 MPH when the rod in the motor went through the block. Now I got a 50000 dollar paper weight I cant drive because GM refuses to fix there issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

Second incident caused $6,500 body damage & $2500 in towing fees. I told GM the truck was unsafe to drive, which they failed to help. Any other vehicle in my path would have caused a major accident involving injury or death. The Ally warranty covers 150K miles. Dealer only covered mechanical repairs, not the body damage or any towing. All work has been serviced & inspected by the dealer: Upstate Chevrolet in Attica, NY 14011. No warnings or lights appeared.
