Feb 2023 POWER TRAIN Recently had recall performed for loss of motive power. Now when shifting between gears, it is often firm or jerky and has vibrating/shuddering during acceleration.

Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
Feb 2023 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE The vehicle's engine will randomly shut off and not turn back on. It has been to dealerships over 10 times for the same issue. They all attribute it to the start/stop battery, but it happens even when that feature is turned off. The vehicle's engine will shut off while driving and you cannot shift it into park. The only warning is a check engine light and "service auto start/stop system". There is no warning before the vehicle does it, and I have broken down in intersections, highways, and other dangerous locations. The vehicle duplicated the issue on the dealers lot, but they claim " no codes, no repair".

Feb 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL When driving a faster speeds if I hit a bump my car starts shaking rapidly feeling like my tires are gonna fall off and doesn’t stop until I pull over, took it to the dealer while under warranty and they told me there was nothing they could do about it or find the issue
Incident: Nov 2021

Feb 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION When I accelerate over 55 mph, the front end of my jeep shakes violently, so violently I can barely hold onto the steering wheel. When driving in the fast lane on the freeway, going 65-70 mph, it shakes so badly that I almost lose control of the vehicle. I am fearful that one day, I will crash and hurt (or kill) myself, my occupants, and/or other persons in surrounding vehicles. I have reached out to my dealer and they tell me that Jeep has known about this issue, they even call it the "death wobble" - yet they do not have the parts to fix it. My car is still under warranty and I am getting no help from the dealer, they tell me it will be 2-3 months before the part comes in and there are multiple people in line ahead of me so the wait to fix it could be even longer. There are no warning lamps or messages. The symptoms began approximately 6 months ago and continue every day.

Feb 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION while driving on highway at 70 mph speed limit hit a pothole and vehicle started shaking violently had to slow to under 30 mph for it to stop. Took to dealer they said they would replace steering dampener. Waited 2 months for part to come in took to work following morning hit another pothole at 70 mph and shook so bad it blurred my vision had to slow to under 30 to get it to stop. At that point almost got rear ended by semi he swerved to avoid hitting me.

Jan 2023 STEERING,UNKNOWN OR OTHER On Jan. 27, 2023, I was driving my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (31,440 miles on the odometer) on the interstate, going about 65-70 mph in high volume traffic. Suddenly my right front tire started wobbling like it was going to fall off! I have never experienced anything like this. I was extremely frightened, fearing I might have a wreck or cause someone else to wreck if control of my Jeep were lost. My heart beat sped up, my hands clinched the steering wheel. I was able to slow down and the wobble went away but my anxiety did not go away. It happened about 4 more times that day on the interstate. I was traveling and concerned about my safety and that of others. I was also concerned about what was happening with my Jeep, how could I fix it, COULD it be fixed, and how was I going to pay for it. I thought the front end of my Jeep needed to be re-aligned so I took it to the dealership I bought it from, they inspected it and said it did not alignment. Said the Jeep had developed a "wobble." I was told that parts to fix this issue were not available in the U.S. and they had no ETA on when/if a part would be available. They took my phone number and said they would call if something changed. Now I have a Jeep that I am afraid of - actually terrified of. I only drive on the city streets and stay away from the interstate. My life has been limited in so many way because of this issue. I was not issued any paperwork on this problem.

Jan 2023 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES The car has been shutting down since its inception. It's gone to the dealership over 4 times. From the loss of power to the complete shutdown during the highway at 65/70 mph with my kids inside. This vehicle is not safe to drive at all. It took the fun out of moving and owning a Jeep. The 4xe is a disaster in the making. Even after the dealership looks into the car over four times, they fixed, patched, software updates, and issues keep happening, which shows that they don't have an answer to this vehicle. The car lasted the last time it went in, over a month in the dealership. If you can't go Electric, don't do it. This car is an issue for families. Highly don't recommend it. It only has 15,980 miles! Brand new car, and it's been more in the dealership than any car I've owned in my life, and I've owned plenty!

Jan 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION I have had my 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe for approximately 14 months and have a little over 16,000 miles. My vehicle is now experiencing what is commonly known as the "Jeep Death Wobble". The vehicle will begin to shake violently, especially at higher speeds. It has become nearly impossible to control and is an ongoing issue. My local dealership has been unable and unwilling to fix the problem rapidly.

Jan 2023 STEERING,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL While turning at low speeds (pulling into a parking spot) and the cruise control is turned on the "set cruise" button is elevated and can be accidentally hit. If the speed of the vehicle is under 20mph it will automatically set the cruise speed to 20mph causing the vehicle to accelerate. This elevated "set cruise" button actives the regular cruise and not the adaptive cruise. This has happened to me over a dozen times. I am lucky it has not caused a wreck.

Jan 2023 TIRES We purchased our Jeep brand new in January 2021. Tire Details: Bridgestone Dueler A/T, Size 255/70R18, Load Index: 133T, Speed Rating: M+S, DOT/Tire ID#: 93XJ RHF 4820. In November 2022, we experienced a catastrophic sidewall blowout of the passenger side front tire while driving 75-80 mph in the high speed lane on I-75. We were instantly warned by the dashboard automatic tire pressure monitoring system. The tire pressure dropped from normal to zero in a matter of 100 yards. This warning saved our lives. To this day, I still don’t know how we got the Jeep safely over to the emergency lane on the right side of I-75 during high traffic. Key point to note – we only had approximately 30,000 miles on our tires at the time of the incident. We called Florida’s Road Rangers who put our spare tire on the vehicle. When we got to our destination, we took it to the Okeechobee Jeep Dealer. The Service Manager and Mechanic both said they had never seen a sidewall blown out like this tire. They recommended we contact Bridgestone to notify them of a safety complaint and possible monetary credit. At their recommendation we took detailed pictures of the blown tire. The Dealer pitched the blown tire as we had a car full of luggage. We purchased a new Bridgestone tire from this Jeep Dealer at that time as we did not want to ride around with no spare. We were not sure of the integrity of the remaining 3 tires. We contacted Bridgestone, Ref # 1387342. After talking to a series of Reps, they seemed indifferent about this unsafe event and said they could do nothing on the tire warranty since we did not go to an authorized Bridgestone dealer. A Rep said if we had the original tire they would warranty it, but the pictures would not suffice! I came away with the sense that Bridgestone does not have any concern about their tire safety. They never asked for the pictures or the DOT/Tire Identification number. They did not stand behind their tires from a warranty aspect.

Jan 2023 UNKNOWN OR OTHER After entering the highway and going 60MPH+ the vehicle began shaking like crazy. I thought maybe it was road construction causing the shaking. I switched lanes but the shaking continued. I slowed down and it stopped. I sped back up again over 60MPH and it continued. The seat belt locked so that I could barely move. After a search online, this is being categorized as “death wobble” and it’s stated it occurs once the car has a certain amount of miles. Despite this, I don’t see a recall for it. Since this happens only at a high rate of speed, it seems very unsafe and people should be warned.

Jan 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION “death wobble” - axle begins shaking at a very fast pace, causing the car to shake in an uncontrollable manner. If you are going over 45 and hit the slightest bump It feels as if we have little to no control over the vehicle when this is happening. I have taken it in many times but the part is on back over.

Jan 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION,UNKNOWN OR OTHER Jeep has a seriously dangerous issue when you hit a bump on the highway, other online call it a “death wobble”, extremely dangerous, started happened around 21000 miles on ours. Only way to get it to stop shaken is to stop the vehicle. I have several videos of this occurring and would be happy to send them, this app won’t allow videos to be uploaded. Jan 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION I was driving on a highway at between 60 & 65 mph, the wheels crossed an expansion joint in the highway and the steering started vibrating and violently and shaking from side to side. Jan 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving at speeds exceeding 70 MPH, the vehicle started to shake and vibrate violently. After reducing the speed to 55 MPH the shaking ceased and the vehicle operated normally. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. Jan 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION,WHEELS On the interstate, my Jeep developed the "death wobble" causing us to have to greatly decrease speed among other drivers. This issue continued after each small bump in the road that we hit at interstate speeds, causing the vehicle to shake violently and requiring me to decrease speed repeatedly among other fast-moving traffic. It eventually required me to have to move over to the slow lane for easy road departure if needed. After an attempted repair with a steering damper at the dealer, the issue returned 1.5 weeks later, and after 2 weeks, my vehicle remains at the dealer while they try to figure out how to correct this dangerous issue.

Dec 2022 STEERING I have a 2021 Sahara Wranger with only 11,000 miles and is only 16mths old, all stock. On November 11, 2021 is the first time experiencing the so called death wobble. I hit a divot from a recessed reflector that lines the yellow lines in the road. I was going only 55 when I only drove over two, when suddenly my steering wheel and while Jeep started shaking violently. I let my foot off the accelerator , letting the Jeep slow down to under 50 when it finally stopped. It was very frightening to me and my daughter and called the dealership immediately to report the issue and was very nervous to drive it again. After inspection at the dealership I was told they couldn’t find a problem so I took off feeling maybe it was just a freak thing. But then a month later the same thing happened, but this time I was coming down a steep grade around 60mph when there was a small divot that I ran over and again the steering wheel shacking violently and the whole Jeep shaking worse then the first time. I tried not to break and let my foot off the accelerator again, but this time the Jeep wouldn’t slow down by its self because I was going down hill. I thought I was going to loose control of the vehicle and crash. Shaking, I pulled over and called the dealership immediately. I told them I was afraid to drive the vehicle and I wanted it taken care of immediately. I had to have my husband drive it to the dealership for me, because I was to scared. After hours and hours or research on the internet, I don’t understand why this hasn’t been recalled. It is a serious safety issue and needs to be addressed. My Jeep has now been in the shop for three days, and I have not been given and information on what they are doing about it. I have read many many articles on how the dealership will just use a bandaid to fix it and it will happen again. I’m not sure if I can feel safe ever driving it again. This is a band new vehicle and everyone with this 2021 model should be contacted and told about this
