Feb 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION,POWER TRAIN Vehicles tires and steering wheel begins to shake violently at speeds in the 50+ mph range on the highway. Condition occurs after hitting a small bump on the highway. The condition becomes so violent, I have to slow the vehicle from 60+ mph to about 40 mph to stop the shaking. I have taken it in and they replaced the steering dampener and it did not resolve the issue at all.

Feb 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION,UNKNOWN OR OTHER While driving on the highway I drove over a bridge bump and the truck started to wobble uncontrollably forcing me to slow down to 30 miles per hour before it stopped. This happened two times. We brought it to the dealership who replaced the steering damper and it happened again so they adjusted the camber of the alignment and said it should fix the issue. I have an email from the dealership where we purchased the jeep and the sales manager emailed us back indicating that what the dealership did to correct the issue is correct, but that it is not a permanent fix and that they know of the issue and are not sure how to correct it.

Feb 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION,UNKNOWN OR OTHER My Jeep steering is extremely loose, and very difficult to keep between the lines on the road. If the wind is blowing, it is nearly impossible. My biggest concern however, is the wobble that occurs when on the expressway. This has now happened to me five times while traveling on the expressway at around 70-75 miles per hour. The Jeep begins to wobble back and forth and you literally loose all control of steering. The only way to get it to stop is to push on the brakes and decelerate, but it is terrifying.

Feb 2023 POWER TRAIN my jeep moves forward by itself when the transmission is in neutral. took to dealer to be checked twice. they put the car on the lift shifted it into neutral and the back tires started spinning. they took mine out went and got a brand new jeep and put it on the lift started and put in neutral. same thing happened back wheels started spinning. while i know about this problem and can hopefully avoid any problems. what about the person who does not know. puts their vehicle in neutral and runs someone over. there are no lights or warnings.dealer is dragging their feet. this has been going on since last september i believe.searched jeep creep in neutral on google and there are other cases. i just wonder how many people have this problem and do not know. i just hope this gets fixed before someone gets run over.

Feb 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION When you drive the Jeep on the highway, if you hit a bump, crack or pothole, the vehicle violently shakes, through the steering wheel and tires. The entire vehicle begins shaking uncontrollably and pulls me to the right and off the road. Have had into the dealership for 7 times, and they held vehicle for over 30 days, still not resolved. Very dangerous

The contact pulled over on the side of the roadway to check for a tire blowout. The contact found no failure with the vehicle or the tires. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the mechanic stated that the vehicle had experienced the death wobble, but the vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. Feb 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION,WHEELS Driving own I95, heading south in Maryland, hit a bump and vehicle started shaking/wobbling, almost lost control and had to slow down until vehicle stopped wobbling. Feb 2023 POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM My 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe died while driving down the road. Luckily I was able to coast to the side and cycle the engine off/on in order to regain power. This was the exact same issue that is described in NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V865000, however, this time (2/3/23) was after the ZB7 recall was completed. Even after the recall work was completed and Jeep told me the vehicle was safe to drive, it still failed in the exact same manner. The recall procedure did not work and this vehicle is not safe to drive. Additionally, during the period after the recall was completed and before it died again while driving, the battery range has decreased dramatically (less than 50% of what it was prior to the recall work).

Feb 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION The jeep has what people refer as “ the death wobble” When hitting a bump at freeway speed the steering wheel and front end shakes violently. The jeep has 13k miles and has not been off road. Jeep has been notified. Does not sound like the have a solid fix. You have to pull off the highway and stop to regain control of the vehicle.

Feb 2023 STEERING The steering is loose and has a lot of play. I can be driving 25 miles per hour or 65 miles per hour and I constantly have to adjust the steering wheel to the point that my right arm actually gets tired from over correcting the steering. If I go over a bump, I have to correct the steering even more. I took it to a dealer to have it checked. The dealer confirmed there is a lawsuit regarding the steering but they are not allowed to fix it.

Feb 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION JEEP WOBBLE When driving at normal highway speeds the jeep starts shaking uncontrollably if there is a bump in the road. It is difficult to steer and to make it quit shaking I have to slow way down or come to a complete stop. This is very dangerous on the interstate during rush hour. Almost got me rear ended. Jeep is currently at the dealer who tried to tell me at first that it is because I don’t rotate my tires - I showed receipts where I do have them rotated and had just had it balanced twice within a couple weeks. Then they tried to say the tires were worn, but I also have proof from tire shop that they are good tires. Finally they ran out of excuses and admitted it was the common jeep wobble and had to order the part that is now on back order because they have had to change so many.

Feb 2023 STEERING My Jeep has the infamous death wobble with violent shaking of the front end when the Jeep gets up to 50 mph or more. I have to pull over every time to stop the front end from shaking. The shaking is so violent it is very hard to control, and I've had other vehicles looking at my Jeep as if it going to blow up. This is ridiculous for a new Jeep and since Chrysler has known about this problem for years. I didn't know about it until I bought a Jeep and have ahd to deal with it.

Feb 2023 STEERING The death wobble has happened 2 times in the past month traveling under 45mph. It’s dangerous as the steering wheel is all over the place and the only way to stop it is to slow down all the way. Very scary!

Feb 2023 SUSPENSION Death wobble. It's been doing this for a few months now. Does it at any speed. Dealership claims there is nothing wrong. Blames it on uneven worn tires but I just bought these winter tires last winter. They look fine to me and there is no way they are bad already. I have a different set I use in the summer. Jeep just hit 30,000 miles.

Feb 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION Vehicle steering vibrates uncontrollably at speeds generally over 50 mph. This only subsides if you slow the vehicle down and or bring the vehicle to a stop on the side of the road. This has done this since approximately 5,000 miles. I was told that there was no problem found. After contacting “Jeep Customer Care Service” to get them involved as we will NOT continue to put our young son and ourselves in danger of this faulty vehicle. I have been getting the runaround as to a rental vehicle. I was told by the customer service representative to take it to a dealer for the issue again. I told her that this vehicle is unsafe and the primary driver is my young son and that it was unsafe! The representative Melissa, told me to just don’t drive it on the interstate etc. After telling her that we have purchased 6 new vehicles from their parent company in the last 4 years, this would be the LAST!!! Only then she offered to start a case file for our complaint. We are still getting the runaround.

Feb 2023 STEERING,SUSPENSION Death wobble: extreme vibration, uncontrollable shaking from side to side when going high speeds and hitting bumps, but also happening at lower speeds now and not large bumps. It will only stop by coming to a close stop, slower than 10-15mph. It is happening much more frequently, and the Jeep only has 26,000 miles and has never been off-road. I bought this Jeep brand new. Ordered it myself. Dealership supposedly fixed it on 02-03-23, but it continues to do it and is getting worse.

Feb 2023 STEERING My Jeep has has experienced the death rattle over the last 6 months. Originally it would only happen every month or so when I got over 75 MPH. However in December after I put in an order with my service center for the part to fix it (which took 6+ weeks to arrive), the rattle got so bad that it would happen every time I got on the highway and would sometimes happen under speeds of 50. There was one time that I drove 45 each way to the airport and rattle happened over 10 times.
