| Date | Component | Summary | Severity | Mileage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jun 2024 | SUSPENSION | Freeway speeds are around 65 MPH. The Jeep has a vibration that was confirmed not to be tire balance-related. When on uneven roads, the jeep can sometimes wobble so severely that it's hard to control. The dealer replaced a steering damper and could not offer any other remedies. The issues still exist. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES | While driving my vehicle in four-wheel-drive low, with no lockers engaged I noticed that the rear wheels at different times were dragging, I could also hear and feel the ABS module actuating. During these events I would have diminished breaking capabilities and no ABS warning lights. it was doing it under 5 miles an hour at first and then higher speeds. I got a service ABS, service traction control, service stability control, four-wheel-drive unavailable, service four-wheel-drive system Messages all of a sudden, and i disengaged the four-wheel-drive lover back to 2 Wheel Drive. At this point the brake pedal was hard and would not move, my back left wheel was completely locked. I shut the vehicle down waited a few minutes and restarted it, all of the lights were still active but I was able to move the vehicle. I began traveling forward and the rear wheels alternated locking up. I started backing up to move to a safe position, the brake pedal became hard and I was unable to stop causing my vehicle to collide with a wall, speed was below 5 miles an hour but still caused damage to my left rear quarter panel and fiberglass top. After we assessed the damage, I put the vehicle in 2 Wheel Dr., disconnected the battery for 30 minutes, and was able to drive the vehicle to a parking lot in 2 Wheel Dr. After this point and not having phone service, use a satellite communicator to call a local off-road recovery nonprofit that I volunteer for, they were able to assist in bringing a trailer out to tow my vehicle home as it is unsafe to drive and my children were with me. Unloading the vehicle off the trailer all the lights were gone with the exception of a check engine light is now on. The vehicle is currently sitting in my driveway and will be requesting a tow to the local dealership for them to troubleshoot . | Crash: Yes Fire: No Towed | Unknown |

| May 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY/WIPER | Drivers sun visor broke off while driving on November 2023 on a 2021 Jeep. I was driving at a residential area going 30mph. Dealership fixed it and assessed it as a safety issue. I brushed off the incident and considered it as normal wear and tear. Then in April 2024 the passenger sun visor broke off. I was on the interstate driving 70mph. I seldom carry passengers and when I do it's mostly after sunset. In both cases, we simply flipped visor down and it broke off. The roads were smooth both times. I went online to search for recalls but instead found many forums experiencing the same issue and suggesting to buy a 3rd party sun visor repair kit. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | The contract owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V787000 (Electrical System), where the high voltage battery pack software and other updates were updated. The contact stated that after receiving the repair the vehicle started to run rough while driving at various speeds. The contact stated that the charging indicator was fluctuating, the RPM was fluctuating, and the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle also ran rough while attempting to accelerate. The power would fail, and the vehicle would restart while driving at various speeds. The vehicle had been taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the battery had failed. The dealer performed more software updates; however, the failure persisted. The dealer stated that the battery pack assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired due to the dealer waiting for parts to be available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 34,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 34,000 |
| Apr 2024 | POWER TRAIN | There has been an open recall 19A/NHTSA 23V-116 on my vehicle's CLUTCH since February of 2023. Last summer (2023) a dealer told me they didn't know when the part would be available. Last week another dealer told me the same thing and that he had seen some clutches on the JL Wrangler fail. This is a significant risk to me because I take this vehicle on off road trails with features require frequent and sometimes prolonged use of the clutch. The manufacturer, Stellantis/FCA, has exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall remedy What's incredible to me is that in July 2015 NHTSA issued a consent order because FCA was failing to address over 20 recalls in a reasonable amount of time, and here they are doing the same thing! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2024 | SUSPENSION | When I encounter a bump in the road or uneven pavement at highway speeds, the jeep begins to wobble violently (being shook like a bag of popcorn). I have to release the gas and slow down for it to stop. This has happened numerous times over the past 2 years. I didn't report it previously as I thought it was just a jeep thing and poor manufacturing. Now that I have become aware that it is prevalent in the Wrangler for years and most likely a part (suspension damper or bushings) issue, I am reporting it. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2024 | STEERING | The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH over a bumpy road surface, the vehicle experienced a death wobble. The contact stated that the front end of the vehicle was wobbling violently from side to side and pulling toward the opposite lane. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring while driving and exceeding 40 MPH on bumpy road surfaces. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the steering shock absorber system needed to be upgraded to a double steering shock absorber system. The dealer informed the contact that the repair could not be covered under the warranty. The contact declined to pay for the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they were waiting for the dealer to submit a claim with the diagnostic report. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 10,000 |
| Apr 2024 | POWER TRAIN | NHTSA Recall # 23V-116 has been active since February 23, 2023 but the status is "Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available". The recall has been active for almost 14 months with no solution. I do not consider this to be reasonable amount of time for a safety recall to be incomplete with no remedy. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V116000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Apr 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The clutch pressure plate was recalled in February 2023 and they still have not repaired. Seems unreasonable to have a recall for 13 months with no remedy | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2024 | STEERING,SUSPENSION,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Jeep death wobble. Same problem as the 2018/2019 models. Over 45 mph and/or hit a bump and the Jeep wobbles uncontrollably and won’t stop until you slow to almost a stop. Incredibly dangerous for highway driving. There are no warning signs before it happens. This happened to me on a congested and fast moving highway. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
