| Jul 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,LANE DEPARTURE | Hi the two major issues that need to reported. 1. The vehicle would just shut down while driving at highway speeds. It would have trouble restarting and you would have to cost to the shoulder. This issue was random, we took it to the dealership and they drove it for a week until it left them on the side of the road. They kept it for just over a month and a star case had to be opened. 2. 2nd issue, The vehicle would shutter when accelerating and would shutter when braking. Extremely dangerous when trying to drive it back to the dealership. It had something to do with the vehicle not knowing if it wanted to be in electric or gas. this also caused the ac to stop working and the blind spot system not to work . This time they had it for just over a month to change the main battery. Both case the vehicle was unsafe to be on the road and could have led to a major accident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2024 | STEERING,SUSPENSION | In Jan 2023 my Jeep experienced the “death wobble” where I hit a bump at speeds above 60mph and the steering started violently shaking. The jeep was less than 2 years old and had less than 20,000 miles; all stock, never lifted and not used for offroad. I took the Jeep to the Gilbert AZ Jeep dealership who determined it was the steering stabilizer and replaced it. This week, in July 2024 the death wobble returned on the freeway going full freeway speed and I struggled to maintain control of the vehicle. I contacted the Jeep dealership and they said I could pay $200 to diagnose and if it was the steering stabilizer again all they could do was put a new one on. If it was anything else they would not cover as the jeep was 5 months out of warranty - but has only 29,000 miles on it. His suggestion was to buy an aftermarket part. He said this part fails frequently. This is unacceptable! Why has this part not been recalled or remade?? This is going to result in a violent accident or death. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | Hi, I am hereby, reporting that a clutch recall and software update was done on my 2021 wrangler jeep rubicon and the jeep would shut down when pressing the gas pedal and bogs down while driving. The jeep is still at the dealership since June 18 2024 and haven't heard anything from them so far and they won't give me a loaner vehicle. I don't have any other vehicle to drive. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2024 | POWER TRAIN | This is the third time I have experienced The truck being too hot and overheating the fan not stopping and me losing power when I’m on a highway. I nearly was killed when my car would not move during traffic. This happened three times now and Jeep is giving me a hard time about towing it getting it fixed they replaced the water pump twice and said it was a recall however, the water pump keeps breaking and I lose power before this happens and the antilock brake system then it starts becoming sluggish and then the water pump breaks and I lose power. I am afraid to drive this vehicle. This is the third time it happened. I read other people pages and this has a similar problem on other peoples jeep of a 2021 as well. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jul 2024 | POWER TRAIN | The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V116000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Our vehicle electrical components has been acting up since we bought it in 2021 (all lights flashing, stalling and not able to restart the vehicle). In 2023, the vehicle stalled in the middle of a 6 lanes busy highway and would not restart. Following this, recalls were performed (unknown if related to any issues). Again, our vehicle stalled and wouldn't start again even after all recalls were performed. Our dealer said it is unsafe to drive and will change the EV Battery but from reading online forums, this did not solve the major similar issues for other Jeep 4Xe owners. When issues occurred, all warning lights would turn on and the most recent issue, the engine light stayed on. The Jeep has been with the dealership for over a month. There was no accidents, luckily as other vehicles managed to avoid us luckily as this could haven been a tragic accident even fatal. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2024 | POWER TRAIN | I was just driving home from the park with my family and my Wrangler wouldn't accelerate and the motor would stutter with a complete loss of power. It then gave me the error message on the dash of "e-save mode unavailable" and also "electric mode unavailable". I pulled over, turned it off for a few minutes, then turned it back on to drive home and it repeated the same loss of power and error messages as before. Luckily I was only a mile away from home and it let me drive very slow and limp home. I used my scan tool and found fault code P0A3F which I cannot find any info on google about this code relating to a wrangler 4xe beyond that the recall that I had fixed is still having issues: [XXX] . My VIN is [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | I was driving on the highway and loss of power warning appeared on the dashboard just before the entire vehicle shut off. I was able to safely cross 3 lanes of traffic and waiting for a tow truck. When the vehicle shut off there were not issues with the Jeep, very little warning and the vehicle eventually was able to start back up. The dealership was not able to diagnose the issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jul 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE | My jeep quit while driving down [XXX] . I was the only one in the vehicle and was in the left lane. | Jul 2024 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | While climbing a mountain pass between 2000' and 2500' MSL and passing some vehicles at approximately 70 mph, the vehicle suddenly lost power and multiple warning lights illuminated. These included: Service Electronic Throttle Control, Check Engine Light, Automatic Emergency Brake system failure, Adaptive Cruise Control system failure. After the initial power loss, the engine seemed to partially recover and could be driven below 60 mph until the vehicle was shut down and restarted. There were no signs or warnings of any impending failure. The coolant, engine oil, and transmission temperatures were well below the published limits. The danger was the power loss was sudden, unexpected, and at a critical time when passing large trucks and in the vicinity of heavy traffic with no emergency parking available. This reported event is the fourth time it has occurred. The vehicle has been taken to the dealer to repair it, and the dealers have attempted three times to fix it (all three times dealer fixed something different). All three times they reported the issue had been fixed, yet it has re-occurred after each time. It is currently scheduled for a fourth dealer visit. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Vehicle was in the Jeep Dealer Garage 3 times within first 6 months of purchase. It would not start, it wouldn't turn over. Absolutely nothing. First time in they said my wife must have done something wrong because the next day it worked fine. Next time it happened to me, again I must have done something wrong because next day it was fine and they couldn't find a problem. Third time they found something (not sure what) but assured us problems were over. Next incident was January 2024, car now out of warranty and I was told it needed 2 new batteries at a cost of $800. Next incident is now, Vehicle wouldn't start and I had to get a jump to drop it off at dealer again. Next day they tested batteries and said they were good. Vehicle is still there 4 days later because they don't know. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | After charging my vehicle, I received a “Service Charging System” followed by a check engine light. I tried to shift gears from P (parking) to R (reverse) and it wouldn’t let me. When I finally got it to drive, my vehicle was only throwing hot air and it wouldn’t accelerate. I was going about 20 miles per hour and it loss all the speed. When I got to the light and tried to accelerate again, it moved for like 10 seconds and I wasn’t able to accelerate again leaving me stopped at the intersection for about 30 seconds. Once I was able to move again, my vehicle would stall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2024 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated that the “Shift to Park and Restart" message was displayed. The contact's wife was able to pull the vehicle to the side of the road and restarted. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, but no failure was found. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 36,000 |
| Jul 2024 | POWER TRAIN | I took my 2021 Jeep Wrangler to the dealership for the clutch recall, which has been completed. However, my Jeep is now stalling and they cannot seem to figure out what the problem is. They repeatedly tell me that it is a "software issue" but there is not resolution to this software issue. My vehicle cannot be safely driven. Each time the clutch is released and the gas is engaged, the vehicle stalls. There was an announcement sent to dealerships to suspend the completion of the recalls on 2021 Jeep Wranglers as there is an issue. Additional communication was expected on June 27, 2024. The service manager at the dealership called me yesterday to inform me that the Jeep engineers are aware of the problem but there is no fix and there is not anticipated timeline on the fix. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2024 | POWER TRAIN | Jeep issued a recall number 19A in 2022. It's been two years with the company providing no solution or fix. The vehicle is designed for off-road use. The recall states that the failure could cause a fire. I would not like to be off-road and cause a fire in the forest. I've called the company multiple times. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2024 | POWER TRAIN | About a week ago the light for the rear axel locked activated while driving in 2H. It comes on and off while driving sporadically. I called the dealer and the earliest appointment they have is for Oct 2024 which I had no choice but to take the appointment. Yesterday 7 July 2024 I checked the sensor for the rear axel for damages and cleaning. Nothing seemed burnt or worn out except when I cleaned the connector coming out from the axel it had traces of fresh oil. Oil is coming out through the sensor. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2024 | POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | July 2024 – driving over 40 mph the Rubicon on a busy two-lane highway with my [XXX] and lost all acceleration. Interior warning lights started flashing with the warning, “Service Electric Throttle Control.” As this was up hill, there I nearly started going backwards and two vehicles swerved around me as I was able to pull over. As cars honked that drove by, I turned the vehicle off which was at this point, making a rattling/wobbling noise. I turned the vehicle back on and off at least three times, with hybrid vehicle working. As I was two miles from home, I was able to get back with the vehicle dropping acceleration (with no horsepower and no ability to go on gas mode) twice until I rolled back in basically neutral. We called USAA to have the vehicle immediately towed to Jeep Rairdon in Kirkland, WA. Jeep Rairdon said they would do an inspection three days later where they will assess if we can get a loaner. It’s sitting in their service lot with no info. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: Yes | Unknown |

| Jun 2024 | SUSPENSION | The front and rear driver side shocks were both leaking oil discovered by the local Jeep dealership service department. This looks to be a common occurrence as others with same make, model, and year have also experienced this problem with the leaking shocks. This failure in the shocks did cause a vehicle wobble at higher speeds while on the highway. Both shocks were replaced. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2024 | ENGINE | The contact leased a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while his daughter was driving 65-70 MPH, the wheels locked-up. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact's daughter was able to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and the dealer determined that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V865000 (Engine). The dealer performed the recall repair, and the wheels unlocked. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving 55 MPH, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where an unknown repair was performed; however, the contact declined to take the vehicle back due to safety concerns. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 18,000. | Crash: No Fire: No Towed | 18,000 |
