| Mar 2023 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | Both driver/passenger side adjustable sun visors broke while driving the vehicle, causing the visor to smack me in the face, and almost veering into another street lane without intention to do so. Now that they are both broken, it is ineffective to use in order to block the sun from blinding the driver while operating the vehicle. This presents a very unsafe driving condition, as they are constantly dropping from the fastening arm. Before I attempt to purchase new replacements, I feel this should be replaced at cost by the manufacturer cause there is intricate wiring inside the arms which have detached from the fastener. The contact stated that after parking the vehicle, the air ride suspension system malfunctioned, causing the frame of the vehicle to be lowered. The contact stated that the failure sometimes occurred on one suspension, and at other times on all the four suspensions. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. After retrieving the vehicle, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 300. The contact stated that they have taken their vehicle to the dealership several times in an attempt to get it repaired but with no luck. | Mar 2023 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | The last 3 times I tried to fill my fuel tank the fuel would trickle in to the tank and the pump would shut off. The last time when the tank was finally full, after 10 plus minutes of fueling, the pump did not shut off and gas splashed back at me. It is not the pump because the fill ups were at different gas stations. There has been a Service Tech Bulletin but when I contact RAM they gave me the impression that I would be responsible for the cost of the repairs. Started to proceed when light turned green RPMs went to 6000 and the gas pedal became mush no power, had to put truck back in neutral and then drive. That fixed the problem. Rear window replaced multiple times. rear window leaked this time causing an electrical short draining my battery and cause certain electronic parts of the truck not to work properly. The contact then stated that he noticed that the rear windshield was cracked, and water was leaking through the crack. The vehicle was taken to J Auto Ranch where it was diagnosed that the windshield plastic seal had cracked from the inside and the windshield needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. This was caused by a leak in the rear window allowing water to gather behind the rear seat resulting multiple issues including loss of control of navigation system, heater and radio. | Feb 2023 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I was made aware of this recall in October via mail, and since then have tried to make contact with the dealership. I purchased from Carmax and bought the MaxCare warranty, but seeing as this is a recall I took the vehicle to RAM after receiving the recall notice. I told them how this is a serious recall and the fact that there is no remedy was unsafe for me to continue driving. They assured me that RAM was working on it. They offered me the option of purchasing my truck for less than I owed on it and to roll over the remaining balance into a new loan. I declined. On February 3, 2023 I was driving and my vehicle jolted and shut off. Upon starting it up again my check engine light came on. I drove half a mile to a Big O Tires shop to run the code. On a Solis Ultra reader it ran 088 - High Pressure in Fuel Rail. So i took the vehicle straight to the RAM dealership where they offered me the same resolution as last time. I declined and went to Carmax and stated that I am paying for a vehicle that I now cannot drive due to safety and since I have MaxCare that I should be entitled to another vehicle of equitable value since there is currently no remedy. I was told to go back to RAM and talk to manufacturer. I spoke with RAM care and opened a claim and was advised that a remedy is expected in quarter 2 of 2023. After several calls to many different case managers, I was advised that I would have to get a rental out of my own pocket and would hopefully get reimbursed, and that I would have to wait after the weekend to hear anything else. The service rep told me that since there is no remedy currently, the best they can do is look at it and if there are no issues to put the fuel pump back in. This is an unsafe vehicle, and I refuse to continue paying for something that does not work due to the manufacturers fault, nor am I willing to rollover another vehicle loan payment since they are not open to equitable trades. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jan 2023 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | The visor on the driver’s side has had a complete fail which causes the visor to fall down and block the driver’s vision. This is a significant safety hazard as it blocks the driver’s view and it takes two hands to push the visor back up so that it is not blocking the driver’s view. The same thing happened to the passenger side less than a year ago and the dealer had no problem replacing it. For some reason they won't honor fixing the driver side. Even though it is widely known that this is an issue with Ram trucks. The dealer has inspected the vehicle and determined the part is broken but extended warranty told the dealer that I needed to pay for it myself. I don't have an extra $300 to spend on a visor that was made inadequately in the first place. Internet reports suggests this is a widespread problem with the Dodge Ram. Having a malfunctioning component that causes the visor to block the driver’s view poses a significant risk that a driver could be in an accident because he or she cannot see the road ahead and cannot clear the field of view without taking both hands off the steering wheel. I coasted safely into the left turn lane and kept the brake on. The truck was completely unresponsive to restarting and there was no function of the start button. There was power in the battery but the engine and dash computer were non functioning. They told me to bring it in, they would get to it in a few weeks. I researched to find there is not a recall on my truck for this problem but other 1500. My truck is having the same issue. | Dec 2022 | POWER TRAIN | After driving in a few inches of wet snow for about 20 minutes enough snow built up around the transmission that when I went to shift it into park it failed to do so. The dash displayed that there was an error with the transmission and it was unable to determine what gear I was in. The truck was not able to fully turn off and was stuck in accessory mode as a result. After changing gears multiple times with no luck I was finally able to shift it to drive and get moving again. I then proceeded to get it scheduled by the local dealership in my area to see if they could figure out what the problem was. after inspecting it they informed me that there was snow buildup on my transmission that caused the park/neutral switch to get stuck/not work. They removed the snow and said that everything was operating normally, but informed me that it was a self-inflicted issue and not a fault of the design or manufacturer.
