Apr 2024 EXTERIOR LIGHTING What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Turn signal indicator has malfunctioned. When the left turn signal indicator is set, it will not reset after making a full left turn (90 degree). Also the left turn signal will not stop after putting the turn signal lever back into the middle position. The only way to disable to turn signal is to put the turn signal lever into the right turn indicator position and in this position the right turn indicator no longer works. After making a right hand turn the turn indicator lever will reset and make the left blinker come on automatically and stay on. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Being unable use my turn signal correctly has caused people to almost crash into me. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? I have not scheduled the vehicle for service with the dealer because its not covered under warranty or recall. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning or check engine lights.

Mar 2024 UNKNOWN OR OTHER While driving on 3/29/24 I pulled the drivers side sun visor down to stop the glare from the sun. In doing so the post for the sun visor broke causing it to fall down into the line of view while traveling approximately 70 mile per hours. This caused an issue that could have caused a catastrophic accident causing injury to myself or others. A review of the internet shows that numerous people have had the same issues with the sun visors breaking. This issue need to have a recall issued to it to prevent someone from being seriously injured or even killed. A tooth pick had to be placed into the rod area to hold the visor up so that I would be able to move the vehicle safely. Thanks for you attention in this matter.

Mar 2024 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM The gas tank on the 2020 Ram 1500 Classic for some reason causes false fuel pump stoppages as if the tank was full. This causes fueling times to sometimes last 10 to 15 minutes and also causes a considerable amount of spillage due to the blowback of fuel. This creates a safety issue due to the possibility of fuel spraying back onto the driver. This is a known and recurring issue as I've seen it appear on several forums and pages numerous times from other Ram truck owners. Mopar should make this gas tank issue a recall as soon as possible.

Online research is showing a lot of the same complaints of cracks and water damage. I do not see a recall though? I've only owned the truck for 8 months and this has happened within weeks.

Mar 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Truck won't start or move from park new battery was drained in one afternoon. Now vehicle won't start .
Incident: Mar 2024
Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
Mar 2024 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Inside cab is getting moisture in it. Prior to noticing this we had battery drainage that causes truck not to turn on. They replaced radio they found it was drain battery. We continued to have battery drainage where it wouldn’t turn on after a full charge overnight. The truck would go to turn on but would only make clicking noises and wouldn’t shut down for 20 minutes even though wouldn’t start. Other times we’d turn off truck and it wouldn’t turn off. Now our truck is molding inside and front and rear windshield drip of moisture. The moisture drips onto dash and down the console. This could affect electrical components. There is less then 10,000 miles on it. We’ve had brakes jam up on us when we back up and there is nothing even close to us.

Mar 2024 POWER TRAIN,ENGINE I have a 2020 Dodge Ram that has 75,000 miles on it. It has already broke down requiring a new transmission ( Jan of 2023 at 61,349 miles) and on [XXX] at 83,000 miles I, again, broke down and found it to be a valve spring. I have inquired as to the frequency of these occurrences in other Rams and a was told neither one of these occurrences should have happened. I jumped the hoops of the warranty and have put out almost $1,000 for the warranty company to "inspect" the engine, valve spring & tranny items that I should not have had to deal with in the first place. At first, the warranty company was willing to discuss possible retribution of some sort given the rarity of the break downs that occurred. I had a caseworker and now I cannot get anyone on the phone to even discuss this with any longer. Always being told "In a meeting", "Not available". With my last call being today and told SOMEONE was going to call. I have received emails noting "it is being investigated" and also told someone would reach out. NOW I have developed anxiety over this truck as, I travel. I'm terrified that I will be stuck in the middle of no where in the middle of the night. Both occurrences happened at night while alone! I am a [XXX]! Perhaps that's why ? I have been without a vehicle since that time and even the auto repair place had a very hard time in getting warranty company to pay. Truck is home now but now Im afraid to drive it anywhere. This was my dream truck and Im heartbroken at the total disrespect that has occurred for my safety and for anyone else who has had to go through this - I do have invoices but it wouldn't let me download them. I can send them via email. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Mar 2024 UNKNOWN OR OTHER To Whom It May Concern, The issue I am reporting is that the drivers side of my cargo bin on my 2020 Ram Rebel is opening on its own. This has occurred many times while I was driving and most times, items inside the cargo bin have fallen out on the road. This issue is also taking place when the vehicle has been parked and locked, as I come out in the morning or return from an errand and the ride side drivers cargo bin is wide open. I have also had items stolen because of this. This shortcoming is now also killing my battery all the time, since after I jump the vehicle, I can hear the locking mechanism attempting to lock and unlock on its own. I feel this is a huge liability since the contents of the bin are sometimes landing in the roadway behind my truck. I contacted Crown Dodge in Ventura, Ca and they have stated they have never heard of this situation before. When I look on-line for similar complaints, many people are saying the exact same thing as their drivers side cargo bins are opening due to an electrical wire loom shortcoming. Some of these individuals have taken their trucks to their local Dodge dealers and they are changing the wire loom and adding additional weather protection to it to correct the issue. This situation, if not addressed will cause damage to vehicles behind the trucks if not accidents as the contents of the bin can immediately become unsecured and effect all vehicles behind it. I have now opened the top of my bin and disconnected the leads powering the lock switch and it seems to be working as the bin is locked all the time and I will now need to use my key to unlock it. This has also kept my battery from draining, but I feel the dealer should step up and correct this very dangerous situation on their own before the liability for accidents and/or damage is directed to the truck owners themselves. Feb 2024 VISIBILITY/WIPER While driving at highway speed with the sunvisor down, the visor suddenly became loose and hit me in the head blocking my vision. As I reached up to move the visor around, I realized that there was no tension on the swing arm and the visor would swing from the driver side window all the way to the windshield, this caused me to keep one hand on the visor when the sun was coming through the driver side window, and only one hand on the wheel.

Feb 2024 VISIBILITY/WIPER Hi, we own a 2020 Dodge Ram 1500. Went to drive our truck during a snow storm. The driver's side wiper arm stripped its splines. Dealership says tough luck. You're on your own. A 2020 Dodge Truck. This is ridiculous. We have 2 small kids, and can't drive our new truck when it rains. Never heard of a new vehicle stripping the splines of a wiper arm, because of ice and snow. No one ever touched the wiper arm. We used remote start to warm up the vehicle, only to find out the arm was stripped when we tried to drive it. I've owned many vehicles, never had this happen before. No one I've talked with, has had this happen, even in the worst weather conditions. This is a Major flaw, and a huge safety issue. Thank you. VIN - [XXX] .
