| Dec 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport. The instrument cluster on my Jeep had been flashing for awhile back in 2022 and finally went completely black in December 2022. I could not see my digital speed, gas, etc. I finally took it to the dealership in July of 2023 after saving money for the repair (since it was no longer under warranty) and it ended up being the instrument cluster that went bad. $1k + repair later and here we are with other Jeeps having the instrument cluster recalled when mine fell within the criteria but I have not received anything about a refund for the recall that we had to pay for. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | STEERING,WHEELS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | While driving on a freeway, going over 40mph if I hit a bump or do not grip to my steering wheel very very tight the steering wheel gets wobbly, and starts shaking violently for a long period of time until I slow back down to under 30mph. Luckily traffic wasn’t too bad and I was able to safely do so. But it’s dangerous to slow down that much on the freeway, especially not having complete control over the steering wheel. Has happened multiple times, not just this once. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | STEERING,SUSPENSION | When driving at freeway speeds, bumps in the road cause the "death wobble". This has occured on multiple occasions. The wobble remains until the jeep comes to a complete stop. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | My jeep tends to shake really bad when I get up to a speed of 70 mph and it’s scary. I think it’s called the death wobble and I believe I missed when there was a recall on it but no one really informed me much about it. I was hoping to please receive help. I have to drive it to get back and forth places for me and my son | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | The driver-side visor in my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL which has been repaired previously, continues to fall out of its bracket. This presents a significant safety risk while driving in bright conditions when the visor is unavailable to block/screen sunlight. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EXTERIOR LIGHTING | My Jeep wrangler required the instrument panel to be replaced due to failure. The entire console lighting went dark while I was driving. I had not information on my speed and it made me take my eyes off the road when I tried to figure out what happened I did not have an accident but my fear Jeep is not issuing a recall to all the vehicles affected. Notified them of the safety concern by in January of 2022. My vehicle was not issued in the recall and they would not cover the repair even though it was the instrument panel failure on my repair bill. I was unable to look at the mph. Submitted complaint to Jeep of instrument panel failure. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | ENGINE | The vehicle on multiple occasions has "lunged" forward while the driver had foot on the brake and the vehicle was near an idle mode. The most recent occurrence happened on/about October 21, 2024. The incident was report to Jeep Customer Service and they opened ticket number 91301121. Jeep advises to have the vehicle diagnosed but refuses to pay for the diagnoses of to verify the vehicle is safe to drive. I have advised them the vehicle is unsafe since this has occurred on multiple occasions. The latest incident involved the vehicle lunging forward 18-24" before the operator could gain control of the vehicle. The vehicle nearly missed the garage door framing and another parked vehicle in the garage. Had there been a person in front of the vehicle, they would have bee hit and the same could easily happen if a pedestrian was crossing the street in front of the vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | STEERING,SUSPENSION | During highway speeds when terrain changes during a slight turn or just terrain changes in road jeep starts to shake and vibrate violently lasting a minute untill slowing down finally stops it | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | I reported the instrument panel failure to jeep cares and my vehicle was not listed in the recall. I completed this repair 1/28/2022. I am concerned that all the jeeps affected were not included in the recall. I am not sure how fast I was going because there were no lights on the dash to allow me to see the MPH. Mileage was 52423. The instrument panel went dark several minutes while I was driving down the highway. It required replacement. [XXX] was notified on [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The instrument panel on this vehicle has failed and gone blank. Same issue as noted in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | POWER TRAIN,WHEELS | My vehicle had been experiencing loud acceleration as well as difficulty while driving. Upon taking the vehicle to the dealership where purchased they informed me the rear differential on the vehicle was starting to fail. They informed me they had ordered the part from Mopar with no recollection of when it would be in other than it stating it was on backorder. We have tried getting in touch with Mopar over expediting the piece to be told they also have no idea when it will be in, but they are working on it. The vehicle has been messed up for over a month and is worsening. I am having greater difficulty driving it and at points it begins to bounce while moving. It is getting to the point I am now starting to worry for my own as well as others safety because I am unsure when it will fully stop working. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I took my vehicle to a Jeep dealer because the instrument panel on my dashboard went completely dark. The technician advised that I would need a new Instrument ClusterPanel, part #68442288AE. He also advised that there is a safety recall on this part however my VIN did not fall into the recall range although my vehicle DID fall into the year, model and make of the recall. I am making this complaint because I would like my vehicle to be covered by this recall since I have encountered the very situation in the recall and my vehicle matches the year, make and model covered in the recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Instrument panel intermittently goes blank while driving. This has happened more than once. This is a known issue that has triggered a recall, but while I continue to check my vin for recalls, my vehicle is still not showing mine as being part of this recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | STEERING | Just purchased a 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited 4 door. At low speeds, the vehicle wanders a little on the road. At highway speeds, in traffic, the vehicle swerves towards passing vehicles. In heavy traffic, it becomes a white-knuckle experience trying not to hit or be hit by other vehicles. The steering is just so loose that it feels unsafe. Noticed online that many other Jeep owners complain of loose steering as well. Jeep has published a Service Bulletin # 08-074-20 to address the known issue but has not issued a formal recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | There is a current recall out for the dash panel failures. I have issues with my dash panel that would be described as a failure that I believe should fall under the recall for this issue, my make and model matches however my specific VIN # does not. I'm hoping to get that changed so I May be ble to get my dash panel fixed under the recall. The panel throws incorrect warnings and glitches to where you cannot see what's shown on the screen, as if it is completely dim all the time. The photo provided is when the dash first started glitching in april, you can see the colors are changed and PRN is dimmed. Now everything is completely gone | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Dealership diagnosed leaking fuel line to engine - exact same issue as Y10 Recall, but my VIN is not covered. I would like my VIN included in the Recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The sun visors on my Jeep wrangler are broken. I have reviewed several forums and believe this is systemic issue among Jeep Wranglers. Although not a major safety concern, I believe it could create a dangerous situation on the road. Apparently, these sun visors are not covered by warranty either. Because this is such a systemic issue, I believe that Jeep should issue a recall and fix all of these sun visors. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
