Mar 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The 3.5" screen on my jeep went out. Which prevented me from seeing speed, mileage and gas. They have recalled other jeeps from 2018-2024 but mine is not included because it has been in service for more then 24 months. We bought the jeep in 2023 with 20 some thousand miles on it. Why is there a time limit on a faulty part? Not everyone drives their cars 30,000+ a year, so problems with parts won't be known as early as 2 years. We replaced it and it cost $1600 plus a week of not having my car.

Mar 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER The instrument cluster has completely failed presenting a dangerous situation for driving. There are no warning lights, no speed indicator, no signal indicator, etc, etc. A simple Google search will show that this is a very widespread and well known issue with this vehicle, and a safety recall notice should be issued and the replacement should be covered by the manufacturer. The vehicle was inspected by the dealership and they confirmed it is the instrument cluster.

Mar 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER The instrument cluster is is not working. I am unable to see how much gas is in the vehicle nor am I able to see any critical warnings for the vehicle

Feb 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Wife’s 2020 Jeep Wrangler’s IPC above the steering wheel went blank. No speed, no fuel gauge, no odometer or warning lights, no turn signal indicators. Chrysler Safety Recall (30B) (NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 24V652000) states there is a problem with these including our year Wrangler, 2020. Dealer said we are out of luck because when they type in our vin number into their database, no safety recalls are listed. This problem is all over the internet 2018-2024 Wrangler (JL) models. What gives???? Don’t even know how much gas we have! 6 year old car should NOT have the IPC shut off! If that’s not a safety concern, don’t know what is????

Feb 2026 VISIBILITY/WIPER The driver and passenger side sunvisors have both failed. The piece that holds the visor in place is apparently plastic and breaks easily, causing the visor to malfunction. This sounds minor, but not in winter when the sun is low on the horizon and blinding to the driver. The first visor I replaced was in 2021 (on a 2020 jeep). You have to replace the entire assembly (not just the part). Both sides have failed repeatedly. After driving around for months with the visors bungee corded up, to keep them from hanging and flopping around, I have now had my mechanic install after market brackets. This is a well known problem among mechanics that work on newer Jeeps. This may sound minor, but I do feel its an accident waiting to happen when driving towards oncoming traffic when the sun is low. Note that this jeep is primarily driven on paved roads - it is not being driven repeatedly off road in crazy conditions.
Incident: Feb 2021
Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
Feb 2026 VISIBILITY/WIPER The attachment for the rear defrost failed. The wiring for the rear defrost was poorly attached (bad glue?) to the back window. With the lack of trunk, jeeps end up with lots of moisture spraying onto the back window and freezing. This poor design causes a hazard by limiting visibility to solely the side mirrors.

Feb 2026 FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE The contact owned a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that there were strong fumes coming from the vehicle, causing the contact to sustain severe headaches and nausea. The contact had gone to the Doctor's Office, where blood work was completed. The contact was informed that no issues were found, and the Doctor inquired whether the contact had been exposed to any chemicals. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that fuel was leaking from a cracked quick connect and was entering the high fuel pump. The dealer determined that the high-pressure fuel pump lines needed to be replaced. The dealer related the failure to an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The contact stated while driving approximately 10-20 MPH off a ramp, the contact noticed smoke in front of the vehicle. The contact looked at the instrument cluster, and upon looking up, the contact noticed fire coming from underneath the hood. The contact depressed the brake pedal and jumped out of the vehicle while the vehicle was still rolling. The contact had not pulled over. The contact did not sustain injuries from the fire. A nearby Police Officer notified the Fire Department and Emergency Services because the contact had jumped out of the moving vehicle without the cellphone. The fire was extinguished by the Fire Department. The front end and the hood of the vehicle were burned to the ground. It was unknown whether a Fire Department Report was filed. A Police Report was filed. The vehicle was towed and deemed a total loss by the Insurance Provider. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 134,959.

Feb 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument panel displayed a blank screen. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under warranty or recall. The contact referenced an unknown recall with a similar failure; however, the VIN was not under recall. The contact stated that the vehicle was unsafe to drive with the instrument cluster being inoperable. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Feb 2026 STEERING The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 MPH, the vehicle shuddered and was difficult to maneuver. No warning lights were illuminated. The failure had occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the steering damper, inner tie rods, adjuster sleeve, outer tie rods, and the drag link assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to a different dealer, Vallejo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (4325 Sonoma Blvd, Vallejo, CA 94589), where it was diagnosed and determined that the steering damper, inner tie rods, adjuster sleeve, outer tie rods, and the drag link assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 45,500.

Feb 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The cluster instrument panel stopped working. It is a part that has been recalled. It was taken to the local jeep dealer and they confirmed the issue. Apparently, my jeep has not been added to the recall list yet. I also reported the issue directly to Chrysler back when it first happened.

Feb 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER Shortly after leaving my house I glanced at the digital readout for my speed and noticed that the instrument cluster was blank. I pulled over, stopped my Jeep, then restarted it to see if that would correct it, which it did not. I took it to a reputable auto/electrical garage who at first noticed a master fuse block blown and replaced the fuse block. That didn't correct the instrument cluster however but they did find a recall 30B for 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I called Stellantis (1 800 334 9200) today, Feb 16th . I was told by 3 different people in 3 different departments that even though there is a safety recall on 2020 Jeeps my VIN# isn't included. I asked why not and was told that it depended where the Jeep was made. They also told me that the repair will be at my expense. This doesn't seem fair to me because the recall is a safety issue to replace the instrument panel cluster free of charge. Just because my Jeep VIN# wasn't included doesn't mean it wasn't going to fail like the others that were included!! I have no readouts on my dashboard and am sure it won't even pass inspection now because of that, let alone serious safety concerns without warning lights. I have to ask you, SHOULDN'T MY JEEP BE INCLUDED IN THIS SAFETY RECALL AND BE CORRECTED BY THE MANUFACTURER?!?! Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter! Feb 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The instrument cluster has failed. I am unable to see critical warnings for my Jeep. I am unable to determine the milage. Fortunately, the speedometer is separate and I am able to see the speed. I see there is a recall for 2020 Wranglers but, for some reason my VIN is not included. I'm being told by the dealer that the repair will cost $1600. Reading online, this issues seems to be a problem with Wranglers.

Feb 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The instrument panel cluster went totally dark, I only have 53,000 miles on this vehicle. I can't see any warning lights, digital speed, and most dangerously how much gas I have in the vehicle. The dealer wants $2000.00 to replace it but this seems to be a common issue with Jeeps and the 7.0 cluster should be recalled along with the 3.5 cluster. I have the 7.0 that has not been recalled yet.

Feb 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM My instrument cluster has failed. I can't see any vehicle information. No gas or oil gauges. No information what so ever. I can't see my speed or if may my be overheating. This is basic safety issues I should be able to see. There has been a recall for 2020 Jeep Wrangler's so other people have has the same issue. I can't drive without the basic safety instruments working. I don't even know how many miles are on my Jeep

Feb 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the instrument cluster failed to operate as designed. The contact stated that the instrument cluster was black at start-up, preventing the gauges or safety features information from being displayed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 119,000.

Feb 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Instrument control panel does not function. It is a dark/blank screen not allowing driver to see vital functions and information about the vehicle. This vehicle had an alternator issue but could not be determined without extra tooling and labor to diagnose the problem. Safety is of paramount concern. Vehicle was taken into a dealership for inspection and determined that the "ICP" had failed and needed to be replaced for approximately $1600. This was before recall #30b had been initiated. The recall seemed to include this vehicle given the year and model listed in the recall order. Strangely, it is not included for this particular vehicle which is exhibiting the exact symptoms listed in the recall order.

Jan 2026 POWER TRAIN I was driving on the highway with my daughter with dry normal conditions approximately 65-70mph when all of a sudden the jeep downshifts into 1st gear causing an extreme deceleration almost to a complete stop. I had a dead gas pedal and could not accelerate to get to a safe area or shoulder. The problem stopped after I came to a complete stop. My Jeep has been in the shop many times with unrelated issue. I did notify dealer they just brushed it off. It is in the dealership now with oil leak and mentioned transmission issue occured again and this time I made sure they wrote down exactly what happened and I feel extremely unsafe driving this car.

Jan 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM My instrument cluster failed on My 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I can't see any of my vehicle information. This makes safety a real concern for me. There is an existing recall for 2020 Jeep Wranglers. My vin is not included? Could it be evaluated please.

Jan 2026 STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Steering wheel electrical failure. Melted wiring inside steering wheel. Potential airbag and steering safety failure. Serious safety defect. Fire risk! While getting ready to leave a retail parking lot with heated steering wheel on, we became overwhelmed with fumes. Noticed the steering wheel was hot. Immediately shut off the car and opened the doors. When the fumes subsided, started the car and made sure the heated steering wheel was off. It no longer worked at all, when car was re-started. This could have been life threatening had we been traveling on the highway and not in a parking lot. Took vehicle to our dealer- Central Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge for repair. Dealer service advisor unable to diagnose exact cause due to extent of damage. Also commented shock that we didn’t experience a fire that could have caused the airbag to explode as well. Service advisor stated steering wheel heating element short and steering wheel wiring to clock spring melted due to excessive heat in circuit. I requested photos. I received one photo. I do not believe there were further inspections. Repairs were completed at my expense. Both dealership and Stellantis refuse to cover the cost of repairs citing I had no warranty coverage. I believe this goes beyond normal wear and tear. I did smell something mild, like sugar burning earlier in our errands yet it dissipated quickly and I assumed it was outside, in the air. It wasn’t until the overwhelm of fumes upon starting the car in a retail parking lot that we became aware there was a serious problem and immediately turned the car off.

Jan 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,BACK OVER PREVENTION The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument cluster displayed a black screen. The vehicle was taken to the independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with instrument cluster failure. The contact was informed that the instrument cluster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was advised to contact the dealer for assistance. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the contact was informed that the repair was not covered under a recall. The contact referenced an unknown recall howeve,r the VIN was not under recall. In addition, the contact was informed that most likely the failure was the result of rodents chewing on the wires, and that the repair was not covered under the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 49,272.
