Oct 2023 POWER TRAIN This jeep has the dreaded "death wobble" in which the front end starts to shake violently from side to side as you are driving down the interstate, usually after hitting a pothole or beginning of a bridge. This issue also caused a malfunction of the cooling system which caused the jeep to overheat while idling or driving at cruising speeds. No warning messages have appeared other than when the jeep begins to overheat. The jeep is available for inspection.

Oct 2023 SUSPENSION,WHEELS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER I almost actually died twice on a road trip when i hit uneven pavement on major interstates and had to come to a complete stop in the middle of a major highway with semi trucks swerving all around me. This jeep has the death wobble and I can't get anyone to recreate the issue to get it fixed.

Oct 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER The sun visor at the attachment arm has broken twice now. When you go to move the visor while driving to block the sun which is impacting your vision, you now have a visor attachment break and visor is dangling by the wires in front of your face blocking your view and you get stunned that something has broken. There is no warning at all that is about to break. You have to immediately pull over and see if you can push it back up and get it to stay so you can have an unobstructed view. I search the web and there are many many many reports of this exact issue. The Jeep dealer fixed my visor so I thought I was good. Nope. It broke a second time 1 year later. This is going to be an ongoing potential safety issue if Jeep doesn’t fix the issue. I am concerned that I could wind up in an accident when this occurs.

Sep 2023 POWER TRAIN My 2020 Jeep is on its 3rd clutch recall however this recall is now over half a year old with no resolution in sight. The risk is a catastrophic failure of the powertrain, fire, and death. We cannot sell our cars due to the open recall and we have been given no updates on any solution. I'm not sure how a manufacturer can have cars on the road that may or may not catch fire at any time and have no solution available. I think Jeep should either fix the issue, recall the cars and offer buy backs, or pay for 3rd party clutch replacements and allow us to close the recall once those are installed. I'm hoping NHTSA or someone can force a solution here.

Sep 2023 ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Vehicle started to get extreme smell of gas fumes, interior and exterior, to the point it would make you nauseous. My vehicle was taken to a dealer where the tech noticed that a fuel pump was leaking and a fuel line behind the engine had a small hole in it and was leaking on the top and was unlikely debris hit it, to get at the line the whole motor has to get dropped. After reading the description of the fuel line/pump issues with the 2020 2.0 L, this seems that it would be related and part of the effected parts.

Sep 2023 STEERING,POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Randomly the check engine light will appear and the dash will display multiple messages about service needed for traction control, stability control, auto start stop disabled, service cruise control etc. Then while driving you will lose power steering and this almost caused my daughter to wreck while trying to finish a turn. Additionally when the messages appear the vehicle will not have the ability to shift so you can not reverse and once it shut off in the middle of the highway blocking traffic and almost caused multiple accidents. The dealership has replaced the battery sensor and said it was fixed. I was told to replace the primary and secondary battery to ensure it was not a battery problem and I did, however the issue still remains. Looked online for others with this issue and there are many with the exact problem. The Jeep will report the transmission temperature and oil temperature incorrectly with the gauge maxed out even if it has sat overnight. Additionally it also says to service the transmission.

Aug 2023 STEERING I have had to replace 2 steering dampers in my 2020 Jeep Wrangler that has only 24,000 miles. Whenever the vehicle reaches speeds over 50 mph the steering becomes very loose, needing to constantly steer left and right. If there is any change to the road surface such as a bridge, uneven pavement or bump in road, vehicle loses control in steering making the need for you to come to a stop to regain control.

Age 13,10,2 We were almost home and my daughter shouted from the back seat… “ there’s a fire .. there’s a fire” my self and my 13 year old son proceeded to look outside the car for a fire. We both kept saying where? My daughter then said “ right there look up” we both looked and the passenger side visor was in flames where it connects to the roof of the jeep. My son tried to blow it out but it sparked up 2 more times before he held the visor up before the fire went out completely. This was absolutely terrifying. Jul 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER The driver's side sun visor has broken at the attachment point to the frame of the vehicle, causing it to spontaneously swing out of place and obstructing the view of the roadway. There was no excessive force applied to this part, and there are numerous reports of this online from hundreds of other vehicle owners. Obstruction of the driver's view of the road could lead to a fatal accident, especially given that the obstruction can be sudden and without warning. The component has not been inspected since the defect occurred. There are no relevant warning lamps, or messages.

Jul 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM I was driving my 2020 jeep wrangler and I had a busy intersection and the engine stopped. I tried to restart the engine that did not work. I called AAA for a jump and they sent a technician and it still would not start. I had to have it towed to a local Jeep dealership. Everything electronically was flashing on the dashboard. My hazard lights would work on and off. The wipers started going, and I could not get the Jeep out of the park. After 2 1/2 hours in this busy intersection, the tow truck appeared. The vehicle is in the shop right now, and there was no warnings or messages that appeared.

I missed work that day and my car for like 2 months until it was completely fixed, this is a very danger situation people can loose their life with this problem.
