| May 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Driving down a private dirt road, at about 8mph the dash went red, alarms went off and almost instantly the car slammed on its own breaks. Nothing and nobody around. It scared me but i continued on. Not even 2 minutes later it did the exact same thing. Red dash, alarm, breaks. All before I could even register in my head what was happening. It was taken by rollback to the shop where we are being told “we can’t recreate the issue” Again, this was down a private lane no one and nothing around. I got out the 2nd time and observed under and around the car and there was NOTHING. If this were to occur on the road it could potentially put mine and my children’s lives in danger as they are almost always with me. I also have teens learning to drive and had this happened to them, it’s untelling what the consequences could have been. I am completely terrified to drive this car again. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

No warning lights except for fasten seat belt warnings. The obvious risk is to the driver not being able to wear a seatbelt. Took the vehicle to dealer today 4/17 as it is a safety item, but was told that unless they find something nothing will be done. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2023 | WHEELS | Swollen 2-part Lug Nuts | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2023 | POWER TRAIN | Just bought this car not even a month ago. Drove less than 80 miles. After doing my actual behind the wheel test w highway patrol in the car (Missouri) I noticed the car shifting and jerking into gear as I'd accelerate from a stopped or parked position. No warning lights displayed at that time. Husband drove it this morning to work and did the same thing and now the wrench light is displayed. Being towed to the dealership on Monday since everything I've read says do not continue to drive. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Feb 2023 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | When I’m driving all the sudden my braking system will say collision warning and slam the brakes on, the car pump the brakes and stop moving. It just does it at random times out of nowhere. Seems like most times I’m going at slow speed but I’m afraid I’m going to get rear ended. I’ve already taken it to Ford once and the reset code to system telling me Ford knows about this error but has not recalled it yet! This is very scary while driving and dangerous… plus I have children in the car! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Oct 2022 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The parts involved were lug nuts. I had a flat tire and was unable to remove/replace the flat because the lug wrench supplied with the car would not fit the nuts. Fortunately I had other tools available that I was able to use to remove the lug nuts otherwise I would have been stranded. When I went to a Ford service center I was informed that the lug nuts were swollen. They told me that this was a well known issue with Ford and that the lug nuts would have to be replaced. The cost to replace these lug nuts was over $200. Attached fine pictures of the lug nuts and receipt for work done. All the lug nuts were damaged by the service center in their efforts to remove them. The pictures attached are of the worst damage. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Oct 2022 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY | On 10/22/2022 while driving on a highway at the posted speed limit, without warning the Panorama Sun Roof exploded showering shards of glass on Myself and My Wife. The glass sunroof was properly closed but the inside headliner panel was open to enjoy the sun. The moderate average temperature outside at this time was approximately 68 degrees. This vehicle currently has approximately 12,250 miles on it. When the sunroof suddenly exploded, my wife sustained cuts to her hand and both of us were covered in shredded glass, including tiny glass shards embedded in our scalps. The explosion was so sudden and loud I nearly lost control of the vehicle. Fortunately, there was minimal traffic on the road at the time of the explosion with no vehicles immediately in front of us. Research has revealed many incidents of exploding sunroofs on various Ford models, with an exceptionally high incident rate for the Ford Edge model. It was further discovered that this exploding sunroof issue in various Ford models has been ongoing since 2008 with the Ford Motor Company being made aware of this defect. Research has further indicated to date, Ford has failed to issue a recall for this serious and dangerous defect. If our grandchildren had been rear seat passengers (which is often the case), this incident could have been tragically much worse. Not only did the exploding sunroof cause a serious, dangerous and injurious safety threat to us as passengers, getting the vehicle off the road (with the interior headliner panel closed) caused a safety threat to any nearby drivers as we could hear and see the remaining shattered glass flying off the vehicle into the roadway. | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 1 | Unknown |
| Jul 2022 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The contact owns a 2020 Ford Edge. The contact stated while she was depressing the brake pedal to slow the vehicle down in order to park but the brake pedal traveled the floorboard. The vehicle failed to stop and crashed into a wall where it came to a stop. The contact mentioned that the Forward Collision Avoidance/Emergency Automatic Braking failed to detect that the wall was in front and prevent the collision. The contact sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed, and they stated that no failure was determined. The manufacturer was contacted and advised she will receive a call and to contact the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 17,015. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Injuries: 1 Towed | 17,015 |
| Jul 2022 | SEAT BELTS | 3 children were in the back of the car. Child sat in the middle put seatbelt in the incorrect lock mechanisms. The seatbelt would not disconnect and it jammed. The seatbelt locked so my daughter could not loosen the seatbelt to climb out and started to panic so we had to cut it to get her out. This was a major safety concern. If this had happened in an accident my daughter would have been stuck. Why do the rear seat belts allow a person to clip in, if it won’t allow you to clip out. This is a huge concern | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2022 | POWER TRAIN | Vehicle transmission bucks, jerks, and shutters when accelerating from 0-35 mph. This issue does not allow adequate acceleration when taking off from stop. Slippery road conditions can impact this problem. Problem was confirmed by Dick Smith Ford of Columbia SC on 8 July 2022. Dealership conducted an adaptive transmission learning software reset for $224.00. Issue has not been inspected by any other entity. There were no warning signs or lamps illuminated during this issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2022 | ENGINE | While sitting at a traffic signal light that had just changed I removed my foot from the brake and put it on the gas pedal. Suddenly the car lurched forward without any pressure being applied to the gas pedal. This could cause a serious accident if it accelerates at the wrong time. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2022 | STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | Have had issues from day one. Lane centering hugs middle line, back up camera is black at times, when in drive screen is blank, all tools on steering have went out including turn signals, cruse control, collision avoidance flashes when no one is in front of me, brakes due to collision avoidance malfunction etc. in November 2021 car was in park ( know that for sure it was in park and not moving as fed ex came for delivery and walked around back of car to get package before accident) and rolled to front pinning me and breaking pelvis and back. During this incident the safety failed in park, anti collie on failed, 9 days in hospital and months of rehab. Again coming back from doctor lost steering controls. 7 weeks in shop and many calls to dealer and ford motor they replaced main wiring harness stating to me in an email and in person this was the cause of all issues including the roll over. Just got car back on 6/17/22. Shall see if this fixes problem but I don’t even want to drive this car anymore! Total miles to date 17,000 | Crash: Yes Fire: No Injuries: 1 Medical attention | Unknown |
| Mar 2022 | BACK OVER PREVENTION,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | VEHICLE transmission while in park failed to remain and moved backward on its own. My safety was at risk as a tractor trailer pulled into rest stop and had to brake b4 colliding with the said vehicle, also if anything was behind me it could have been at risk. unknown unknown NO there was NO warning lamps or messages of this problem, however there were indications on the dashboard lights that stated Blind Spot System Fault AND Cross Traffic System Fault at 45478 miles and Prior | Crash: Yes Fire: No Injuries: 1 Medical attention | Unknown |
| Jan 2022 | AIR BAGS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | We were driving my 2020 Ford Edge when my vehicle and another vehicle collided. The entire front end of my Ford was smashed in due to the force of the impact. We had to be extracted by the fire department, because we could not open the doors. My pre collusion alert system did not sound off; nor did the airbags deploy despite the rate of speed from the other car as we both entered the intersection. As a result of the airbags failing to deploy, my wife suffered injuries resulting in a trip to the ER. She is still treating with medical providers. Prior to this incident we had no indication of any safety features failing. No warning lights, messages or other symptoms. The manufacturer has been made aware of the incident but has not yet inspected the vehicle at the time of this report. It is currently being held at an auto repair shop. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Injuries: 2 Towed Medical attention | Unknown |
| Dec 2021 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | On 11-16-2021 I put my 2020 Ford Edge in park, got out, and it rolled away. After I put the Edge in park, I opened my door and was moving a trash can, when the Edge rolled forward pinning me. | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 1 Medical attention | Unknown |
| Nov 2021 | SEAT BELTS | BUCKLED THE CENTER REAR BELT INTO THE RECEIVER BUCKLE OF THE RIGHT SIDE IT WOULD NOT UNBUCKLE . THE MALE BUCKLES ARE THE SAME ON THE LEFT AND CENTER THE ONE ON THE RIGHT IS DIFFERENT. THE RIGHT MALE BUCKLE WILL NOT FIT THE CENTER FEMALE RECEIVER BUT THE CENTER MALE BUCKLE WILL GO IN THE RIGHT FEMALE RECEIVER, BUT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RELEASE IT. THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE PERSON (SCARED, SCREAMING,CHILD) OUT WAS TO CUT THE BELT. THIS WOULD BE VERY UNSAFE IN THE CASE OF A CRASH. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
