| Sep 2023 | ENGINE | The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled before accelerating. The contact stated that the failure had been occurring for approximately three years. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | SEAT BELTS | With just under 40,000 miles on the vehicle, first the front passenger seat belt started to fail to retract, then a few months later the front driver side seat belt began to do the same thing. The dealer says they are out of warranty so it's my dime to fix. I wouldn't be concerned except that this is a huge safety issue, if the belt doesn't retract correctly when put on, it would fail to hold me or my passenger in place during an accident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | SEAT BELTS | Driver’s side airbag does not retract | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The u connect screen laminating is bubbling, causing blurry screen and effects all vehicle's controls while driving. Read about this being a common problem with these screens but not yet warranted by Jeep. Seems to be getting worse and can cause major distractions while driving, especially while using GPS. Vehicle hasn't been inspected as of yet. Just mainly inquiring about any others having same issues being reported. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The radio in the car, which controls the whole car, started dialing people out of the blue, over and over again. I finally had to pull over and disconnect my phone from the system. This could have called an accident as the repeated dialing caused me to take my eyes and concentration off of the road. No doubt I was a distracted driver at this time - due to what they call "system bubble". Jeep/Stellantis knows of the problem but they refuse to correct this problem that causes drivers to become distracted. They need to fix the problem ASAP before someone gets killed on count of this. Further more, I now have to take my eyes from the road to my phone because I can't use the system to use the handsfree system. This is a violation of the State of Alabama law. We can no longer have our phones in our hands, while driving a car. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | AIR BAGS | The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the air bag warning light erroneously illuminated and remained illuminated for more than two weeks. | Jul 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | While driving, my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo began smelling like burnt plastic, then a red warning triangle came on in the speedometer saying, ‘stop safely vehicle shut off soon’. At the same time, the engine warning light, battery warning light, and skid warning lights came on. I pulled over and when the car was examined the red plastic housing around the terminal that can be used to jumpstart the battery had melted. The vehicle is being towed to the dealer for a repair. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | STRUCTURE | Driving 35-45 mph, heard a loud pop from the top of the vehicle. The glass from the sun roof popped and shattered. It put myself at risk because if the shade slide, that separates the inside of the car and the sunroof glass, was pulled back, the glass would have came in & injured everyone in the car. It also puts others near the vehicle at risk as the glass could have hit someone or another vehicle. The problem has not been confirmed by a dealer yet. The the vehicle has not been inspected yet. No warning signs prior to the incident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | While in Drive, accelerating from a complete stop the car will lag as if the engine is going to shut off. Additionally, the car will be at a stop and driver will attempt to accelerate and car will not recognize it is in Drive. The car will notify the driver on the dash to shift the car into Park. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES | Recall Z48 service was performed 02/09/23. Fox Jeep invoice #556304. Facility mechanic confirmed issue was present prior to performing recall as the brake lights remained on for several minutes after parking, shutting off, and exiting vehicle. Recall Z48 PCM update was completed. Vehicle continues to exhibit same issue with brake lights remaining on for several minutes after vehicle is parked / shut off / occupant exits. I believe Stellantis has a known issue with the ABS module in this vehicle and needs to replace the module with a properly functioning unit instead of attempting to conceal the fault through another PCM update. Attached copy of invoice from recall performed 02/09/23 @ 70,316 miles and photo of brake lights remaining on after exiting vehicle taken last week @ approximately 76,000 miles. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jun 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Radio/screen delimitation. Known issue by Jeep for years now; obvious safety issue, when the screen starts doing phantom touches it is very distracting to the driver. Also, as the glue melts, it leaks onto the wiring of all the components under the screen including the AC, all the parking sensor and traction control off controls. Phantom phone calls/cannot turn on/off heat. Radio does not just power “ radio”. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2023 | ENGINE | The Water Pump of my vehicle was leaking from the weld of the engine causing anti-freeze to leak. This caused an issue with possible overheating since it was not leaking from the weep-hole. It could have gone unnoticed and i would like to know if there is a recall for this issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Mar 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Yesterday, March 18, 2023, the sunroof in our 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee exploded while we were driving on the highway. The weather was sunny and mild (52 degrees.) We were driving in an open area (no trees) and we were not close behind a truck or other vehicle. The explosion was extremely loud and terrifying. We initially thought we'd been shot at. The driver (my husband), myself (in the passenger seat) and our dog (in the back seat) were showered with broken glass. The remainder of the glass blew out towards the car traveling behind us. We are fortunate that my husband was able to keep calm and get us safely off of the highway without further incident. As this occurred around 5pm on a Saturday, we will report this issue to our insurance and local Jeep dealership on Monday, March 20. There were no warnings or indication of an issue with the sunroof prior to this incident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES | I was sent a recall notice ( Z48/NHTSA 22V-426 ) and contacted the dealer to schedule. the recall is for the breaking system, and it took months to get an appointment, apparently bad breaks are not a concern? when I was finally able to get an appointment they claimed I had no recall? I described the issues to the service manager, and he said that I was experiencing the issue the recall was supposed to fix but they would not fix it as a recall, because they claim I do not have a recall despite getting more than 1 letter. the issue - the vehicle will not stop in and emergency situation. I have tried this at 25 MPH, and just slowed down, I have nearly hit other cars because I could not stop topping a blind hill. I have a long list of very scary examples. FCA says they will not add my vehicle to the recall list, so in case of a major crash or running over a child, I guess I will go public with legal backing. this complaint will also be noted that it was brought to your attention. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Mar 2023 | SUSPENSION,WHEELS | Loud creaking sound coming from both front tire areas when driving low speeds and turning the wheel. It sounds like it’s the shocks/ suspension in both front tires. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
