| Oct 2024 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | There has been an open recall on my vehicle for 10 months but the carmaker and dealerships are refusing to fix it. They are claiming "parts availability" but it has been 10 months now and they are selling the part online for profit. They are also using parts to sell new vehicles for profit before addressing the safety issue for existing owners. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Sep 2024 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The front facing monocular camera of the ADAS system has failed on this 2019 Honda Odyssey with approximately 50,000 miles. The failure of this camera has rendered the ADAS systems inoperable including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assistance. This appears to be a common complaint/failure mode amongst many similar Honda models 2018 - 2022. | Sep 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The following message suddenly appeared one day and since then, they kept coming back on every time starting the car: ACC problem, Collision Mitigation Problem, Lake Keep Assist Problem, Auto High Beam Problem, Brake Problem, and sometimes Transmission Problem as well. After research online, many other owners of the same vehicle had the same issue and which may be caused by faulty connector or faulty front camera component for the hardware issue; or software issue which was on the previous recall for the multi-media issue on the Odysseys. There is a HONDA SERVICE BULLETIN 18-006 for the 2017-2018 CR-V models of the same issue/symptoms: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2024 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Car hesitates upon acceleration passing through approximately 2000 rpm. Does not duplicate every time. Dealer will not replace high pressure fuel pump. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The transmission stalls and does not shift into gear from an idol. When this happens, it is a safety issue that creates a 2 - 5 second lag in acceleration, then a lurch forward as the RPMs rev and the vehicle finally shifts into gear. This is a known problem to Honda through multiple complaints filed with them, and is a commonly known and discussed problem on many online forums. The first time we took it into Honda they denied that there was any issue, charged us for a transmission diagnosis, and were very dismissive towards my wife. When i called to inquire about this issue several months later to set up a subsequent appointment, the service coordinator informed me that this issue is known to Honda but they will do nothing to remedy the problem because there is nothing “physically wrong” with the transmission. He went on and on about how I needed to file complaints in order to pressure Honda to do something about this because it is dangerous and he personally knew of other vehicles with the 9-speed transmission that had been involved in accidents because they could not accelerate in intersections. He emphasized that Honda WILL NOT FIX the problem. Not only is this awful customer service, but it is putting my family’s lives at risk. There have been several close calls for my wife when trying to turn left across oncoming traffic, merging into moving traffic, and navigating in smaller spaces. The transmission does not shift into gear for several seconds when trying to accelerate from a stop or from a rolling idol. It is dangerous to us and other drivers on the road. This is a known issue to Honda. They refuse to do anything about it. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2024 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | car will randomly display warning lights for all systems listed above. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2024 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | My 2019 Honda Odyssey was involved in a total loss car accident recently on Aug 20 2024. The cause was delayed acceleration due to a fuel pump recall by Honda Motor Corp from Dec 2023; and to date they have failed and neglected to provide the part to repair. For over a year I have experienced delayed acceleration issues with this auto. I purchased this auto new from the local dealer in 2019 and have constantly experienced, reported and paid thousands to repair and address transmission and delayed acceleration issues. Now this resulted in my inability to accelerate from a stop position resulting in another vehicle directly crashing into mine. Researching similar issues reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration it appears I'm not alone. In our case - we were in fact "T-boned" | Crash: Yes Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2024 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Fuel pump died while driving on highway causing the engine to stall and vehicle to shift into neutral at highway speed. Also lost power brakes while attempting to pull over to shoulder due to stall. Further, when tow truck arrived we could not shift vehicle into neutral to place it on truck bed as the gear shifter is electronic and requires engine to be on to shift out of park. No check engine lights were on prior to this event. When the event occurred, the vehicle cycled through multiple warnings on the dash. This was extremely frightening as our whole family was in the van and we could have been killed if we lost control or if we were unable to pull over where we did. Thankfully we were in a spot where we could pull off the highway. Fuel pump was previously replaced within the last couple of years as part of a recall. New pump should not have failed this early. Dealership confirmed faulty fuel pump and replaced under extended warranty on 9/4/2024. It is unknown if they kept the faulty part. I am now afraid to drive the vehicle as the fuel pump may fail again. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Aug 2024 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | 2019 Honda Odyssey - Camera Assembly Monocular Honda (36160-THR-A81) Safety LKA, Collison avoidance Camera failed. Multiple owners report issue with this failing. Our van was parked with system having functioned normally since purchase new. Upon starting vehicle, brake system warning lights turn on, and multiple safetey warning appear on notification screen indicating safety feautres not available. We are not only owner that has this saftey component fail on this model of the Honda Odyssey. Repair parts are in excess of $1400 and only available from dealership that indicates they have replace many of the same parts on other owners vans. | Aug 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | While driving my car I have felt it stalling at take off or while slowing down and trying to resume speeds. I cannot fill my gas tank up fully, and now my car will not start. We researched and found that we can tap the fuel relay under the steering wheel to start the car. We’ve taken the car in to the dealership and they will not even check the fuel pump recall because they do not have the parts. They tell me my battery is bad. But when we take the battery to replace it is good. I am now without a working vehicle because the dealership will not resolve the issue of the recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | 5 warning lights on dashboard for lane keeping assist, auto high bean, automatic breaking, collision mitigation and adaptive cruise control. Honda is saying it is the front sensing camera which is disabling these safety features. None of these features are working. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The camera system intermittently was cutting out. After researching it is apparently a known issue. I took it to my mechanic and what is "common" is a loose wire. This is not the case with my vehicle. It is a broken wire connection. Therefore neither my camera display or hands-free communication system work, they have no power. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2024 | SUSPENSION | Driver Rear suspension coil spring broke in half while vehicle was parked. I just got out of the van and there was a loud nose and the van dropped a few inches If I was driving at the time I could have lost control and crashed. Has not been inspected Is unavailable for inspection because no replacement part available from Honda part is on back order Multiple reports online of the same part breaking sooner. Has not been confirmed by the dealer as dealer doesn't have the part to replace it with | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I have a 2019 Honda Odyssey. I have been having trouble with my transmission for quite some time. The car pauses when I try to accelerate. I took it to a Honda service center in when the car was 4 years old. They plugged it into the electronic system for an update and to look for problems. The entire system crashed. Which required me to replace the entire transmission control module. Even after this, I am still having trouble with the car pausing when I try to accelerate, which can be unnerving. My 15 year old has his learner's permit and is very nervous while driving my car. We have had some close calls. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2024 | FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE | The contact owns a 2019 Honda Odyssey. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving 30 MPH, the vehicle failed to accelerate upon depression of the accelerator pedal with several warning unknown lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that a diagnostic test needed to be performed to determine the cause of the failure. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The failure mileage was approximately 79,000. Parts distribution disconnect. | Crash: No Fire: No | 79,000 |
