| Nov 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Driver side rear frame next to tailgate has some holes at the welding site that allowed water to get in between the frame and the interior of the car and have fried the power tailgate module. I have had to purchase a new power tailgate module due to this | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Tailgate issue. Unable to open the automatic tailgate door. Quick search on the internet showed this is a common problem, yet it is not part of the recall and customers are expected to pay out of pocket. This appears to be either quality control issue or bad design. This should be a recall fix. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I've a recall 2019 Odyssey Fuel Pump Mtr Saf Recall Exp1 related to my Honda Odyssey. I can't start my vehicle on 09/10/2024, which I have paid $1200 for the delear to repair. I highly suspect that the reason that I can't start my engine is because of this recall, as "can't start the engine" is one of the symptom. To date, I still have trouble getting this recall repair at Honda authorized dealer, as they are running out of parts. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. | Nov 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Out of nowhere... a bunch of warnings lights have appeared and disabled a lot of the safety features on the vehicle. Adaptive Cruise Control Problem Lane Keeping Assist Problem Collision Mitigation System Problem Road Departure Mitigation System Problem Auto High Beam Problem The car drives fine but the safety features do not work, along with the cruise control. | Nov 2024 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | approximately one year ago a safety recall was issued by Honda on 12/18/23 re Honda Odyssey fuel pump issues. Yet one year later it is not appear urgent enough to Honda or NHTSA because it still cannot be repaired/replaced. Does NHTSA really care about driver safety? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE | All the advanced driver assistance system fails intermittently. This causes 5 different warnings to come on and all of the safety features to stop working. This is an ongoing issue that I had taken to the dealer for on numerous occasions with no remedy. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | My odyssey will intermittently refuse to respond to pressure on the accelerator. If I push the pedal to quickly gain speed, from stopping, it will lag for 2-3 seconds before suddenly leaping forward and squealing my tires. This is very unsafe because it has caused me to be in several near collisions. The dealer confirms that other customers have experienced this issue, but Honda has not made a diagnosis or fix available. I have experienced this problem intermittently for several years, beginning around 50,000 miles, and my husband has also noticed it. All maintenance is current, and we have had the fuel system cleaned to try to fix it. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE | All of a sudden every ADAS system went down. When starting the vehicle I get numerous errors displayed - all having to do with the ADAS. The forward facing camera is the cause of this and it is a known systemic issue within Honda. All safety features are now disabled and the vehicle has the original camera and windshield. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | ENGINE | Received the letter for the recall. Noticed that the vehicle does occasionally hesitate during acceleration (sometimes at lights at intersections which is super dangerous) I have have multiple people who don't know about the recall asked me what's wrong with my car, why is it hesitating. Called 2 separate Honda dealerships total of 4 times to see if I can get the resolved. They all said they know about the recall but do not have parts. (this happened throughout the duration of 1+ year after the initial recall started) Called Honda USA, they say they can not do anything, but if I pay for the inspection (without telling the dealership about the recall) and they found something wrong, they would then do the repairs) Even though the recall says if we experience issues (hesitation is listed) I paid for the inspection, and of course they did not find anything wrong. So now I am out inspection fee, a car that I don't feel safe to drive my family in, and total distrust of entire Honda brand. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,STRUCTURE | The power lift gate would not open with the button on the dash, the button on the door, or the button on the key fob. The only way I could open it was to crawl in the back of the van, remove the access panel for the lock mechanism, and use the lever to unlock the door. Upon troubleshooting the problem, it was determined that the power lift gate control module needed to be replaced. That fixed the issue, however Upon inspection on the old module, which is located inside the vehicle, behind the driver rear quarter interior panel, there was obvious signs the failure was due to severe water damage intrusion into the module. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Passenger sliding door will not open manually or close. “Door open” warning comes on while driving and door pops open but not all the way. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The camera that controls all the advanced driver assistance system fails intermittently. This causes 5 different warnings to come on and all of the safety features bases on this camera to stop working. This is an ongoing issue. An internet search shows that there are multiple Honda vehicles with this problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist, Automatic Braking, Auto Beam functions stopped working. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Oct 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | My family and I had just gotten on the parkway and the car wouldn't downshift. I noticed the "Drive" light kept blinking and then the dashboard lit up with so many different warning messages. "Emmissions system problem" was the message that stayed on. All of a sudden the car started shifting on its own into neutral, while we were on the parkway. Thank goodness there was an exit approaching and we were able to get off before we were injured in an accident. I have been having battery issues ever since I got this car. Even when it was brand new, sometimes it just wouldn't start. If I wait a little bit, eventually it starts, but I have already had to replace a battery at 30,000 miles because of this. It has been happening again, but when I bring it to Honda and my mechanic, the battery is normal. After doing research, it appears there was a recall on the 2019 Honda Odyssey with an issue relating to the battery connection that causes that transmission to reboot while driving and shift on its own. Honda claims my car was not part of this recall, but this is exactly what happened to me, and I have a 2019 Odyssey. They have had my car for three weeks now and can't find answers to fix the problem. When I first brought the car in, they said the technician was finding "A LOT of stuff." Fast forward two weeks, and they called to say it's not happening anymore so they are ruling it an "intermittent issue" and to come get the car (not fixed). I told them I do not feel safe with my children in that car. I need answers. I contacted Honda Corporate who said that Honda told them the transmission fluid was the reason, and to start with that and see if it happens again. I asked them about that recall and they said "well your car doesn't come up with it." Is it just a coincidence that the same thing has been happening to my car? I asked if they were able to find out why the car doesn't start "intermittently" and they said, "no, it hasn't happened while here." | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The Tailgate Control Module failed on three different occasion on my 2019 Honda Odyssey mini van causing the tailgate to fail to be opened by fob or manually. This was caused by water leaking through the roof rail where there was a failure by the manufacturer to properly seal the area between the roof and body.I have two of the failed TCMs in my possession. On 2 different occasions the tailgate flew opened as I was driving at approximately 55 mph.At that time the tailgate could not be closed entirely and caused my battery to run down entirely. The problem has been confirmed by the local Honda dealership and another independent service center.A warning and beeping noice came on as the first sign of the problem.I have photos of the crack and what was done to try to remediate the problem. This problem has been recognized and occurred to many other owners of 2018 - present day Honda Odyssey mini vans. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | SUSPENSION | Noticed clunking noise from rear of car when going over sharp bumps. Inspecting rear suspension revealed the rear driver side coil spring is broken near the bottom of the coil. Judging by amount of rust on the broken ends this has been broken for some time. Searching online this is a common issue for this generation Odyssey, and Honda do not have replacement springs in stock, with estimated wait time for parts of many months. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The radio stopped working when looked into online it’s a known issue with the cords behind the radio coming loose on its own causing the radio backup camera climate control everything that that console is used for stops working the screen is black and does not come on after checking fuses the radio console is still out. with the cords coming loose on its own when i have no access to them honda should be held responsible for this repair. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE | The contact owns a 2019 Honda Odyssey. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | my odyssey falls under the dec 2023 fuel system recall. my van has the symptoms but no check engine light. ive made honda aware, but still no parts available to fix. ive been told they wont fix unless the check engine light is on, this is unacceptable especially when its a RECALL that has to be fixed. symptoms have gotten worse and im honestly ready to trade in the van if honda wont repair it. this is unacceptable, its almost a year since the recall was issued. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2024 | POWER TRAIN | Over the course of the 38 months that we have owned the vehicle, random transmission slippage has been present on this 2019 Odyssey. I mentioned the slippage to the service advisors at the dealership when taking the vehicle in for oil changes. The technician was “not able to replicate the problem.” The slippage was always a safety concern. The van is highly unpredictable on acceleration, making it dangerous to try to pull into traffic, for example, since the driver never knows whether the van will accelerate on demand or not. Other times, the engagement will occur gradually, causing the van to accelerate sloooooowly, despite the driver having significant throttle applied. The display now reads “Transmission System Problem” and WILL NOT shift out of park. I had it towed to the local auto repair shop to be diagnosed. The transmission needs replaced. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
