Date Component Summary Severity Mileage
Dec 2024 POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM The vehicle has been occasionally stalling starting early 2024, maybe sooner. I had the fuel pump recall done recently. The vehicle is still stalling, and it seems to be getting worse. The stalling happens when driving at speed, even over 70+ mph. No warning lights. But rpms drop to almost zero for a few seconds and accelerator is unresponsive. Then it comes back after a few seconds. This is dangerous. Especially on busy highways.

Dec 2024 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Fuel injectors failed. Exact same issue that was recalled in the 2018 and 2019 Oddysey. Confirmed by local mechanic that referred me to a Honda dealership since it was a known recall. Dealership confirmed it’s the exact same issue that has been occurring. Opened a case and Honda did nothing. Because my vin wasn’t included in the recall, yet. Looking to get the recall extended to other vins because it’s the same issue.

Dec 2024 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM I received a safety recall notice from Honda which is informing me that the parts for the fuel pump recall are now available. However, the second sentence of the letter states that the recall applies to 2018-2023 CR-V vehicles and I own a Honda Odyssey, not a CR-V. The letter is confusing since I do not own a CR-V.

Dec 2024 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM On May 20, 2024, I brought my Honda Odyssey to the Wesley Chapel Honda location to address the fuel pump recall. My vehicle had been exhibiting symptoms consistent with the recall, including hesitation followed by delayed acceleration, which almost caused a collision. This occurred twice at an intersection and another time while changing lanes, among other times that fortunately were not close calls. Both times at the intersection I was going straight, the vehicle turning left coming from the opposite direction assumed I was not paying attention or letting them go due to the hesitation, when the vehicle jolted forward as I was still attempting to accelerate. I was informed that a diagnostic fee would apply if the issue was found to be unrelated to the recall. I received a call stating the problem did not appear to be the fuel pump. Instead, I was advised to proceed with a throttle body cleaning and fuel induction service at a cost of $550.51 but that it would correct the issue. I either had to complete this service, or deny it, however, still be charged. After picking up the vehicle, the stalling and hesitation persisted. Within 48 hours, the issue reoccurred while my learner-licensed daughter was driving, and it has continued since then. I immediately reported this to the service advisor but have been reluctant to return to any of your locations due to concerns about incurring another diagnostic fee or undergoing unnecessary repairs. I recently received another notice about the fuel pump recall and the offer of a free repair. However, my confidence in Honda's ability to resolve this issue is nonexistent after my prior experience. I had requested a refund for the previous repair, as it failed to address the problem. Had I known it would not resolve the issue, I would not have consented to the service. At this point, I believe that American Honda or the dealer has failed to remedy the defect in my vehicle without charge and within a reasonable amount of time.

Dec 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE I took my van to the dealer and they told me that the sensor inside of the front mirror is faulty, causing the following lights to continue to cycle if the car is on: Adaptive cruise control problem (ACC); Auto high-beam problem (A); Road departure mitigation system problem; collision mitigation system problem; lane keeping assist problem (LKAS); brake system lights. I am unable to engage or disengage any of these systems, including when I am driving. This seems to be a major security hazard and I am aware of others that have experienced this with this exact year, make and model (across different packages) of Honda minivan. I just wanted to report this in case this becomes a major concern for other consumers.

Dec 2024 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE The whole ADAS system went down and a brake system light came on. Van isn’t in warranty but isn’t old either. Just out of warranty. Lots of safety items disabled because of a faulty camera that’s too expensive to replace on our own, so now we operate a mini-van without all the extra safety items that ADAS gives you. Guess ADAS was never intended to improve safety if it only works for a couple of years.

Dec 2024 AIR BAGS The "Airbag System (SRS) Problem" warning appears too often. We have brought it several times to (different) mechanics and each time they find something else wrong. After several thousand dollars spent (whether it is replacing the module, airbags, wires, etc.) the warning light eventually comes back on. In speaking with other 2019 Honda owners it seems this is a known issue. At this point, we do not know what else we can do to fix it and if it indeed is a danger to drive it.

Dec 2024 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Honda has not completed the recall in a timely manner. I was notified in February of 2024 about the fuel injector recall. I have called multiple times and also requested the recall be performed when my vehicle was in the dealer’s shop. However, I was always told the parts are not available or my model is not the highest priority. The dealer kept pushing the time out for when I could have the recall performed. Currently, they are saying April of 2025. Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
