Dec 2024 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM I received several recall notices for the fuel pump impeller. I understand that there are no parts available to fix the vehicles’s faulty issue. However, all notices indicate a safety risk of crash or injury. I just received another notice and I can see that this recall was first reported in December of 2023. I feel that I am at risk, based on the information provided on the recall notices. Is there a limitation on the amount of time that it takes The dealership to make the necessary repairs? One year seems excessive, when a safety issue has been identified.

Dec 2024 LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE Faulty front camera sensor resulted in all ADAS systems to not work. (Auto braking, auto high beams, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control). Forums have shown that this is an issue across platforms of the HRV, and happens at different mileage of vehicle. Mine happened at around 70k miles. Repair is $1800-$2500.

Nov 2024 UNKNOWN OR OTHER I have had an issue with my 2019 Honda HRV Sport. Black display on the odometer/fuel/oil gauge at start up, then went to gibberish then to display as normal once the car warmed up. Sometimes it would flash or not come back at all. I live in the Northeast and it started when temperatures started getting cooler. This is the first year. Dealer (Keeler Honda) says they have heard of this and wanted to charge me $1800 to replace it. They said they’ve heard of it happening in the HRV and the Fit. It’s dangerous when you can’t see how much gas you have. Also wondering if accurate mileage is being calculated.

Nov 2024 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM I was told about a recall on my car back in May. I was told the part would be available in the Fall. I just called and the fuel pump part is still not available with no date in sight. My car is definitely feeling the affects. Not sure why this part is taking forever to come in. Recalls are serious.

Nov 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Electrical component that controls that stereo and dashboard are going out, almost $2000 to replace this. It controls what indicates the quantity of gas and any safety related information, such as the check engine light, to me as the driver. Without this, I could put people at risk by completely losing gas, since I can’t even track my milage either, as well as possibly causing a safety risk to myself and my family if the car has any safety issues going on, as I wouldn’t know until I took it to the shop.

Nov 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Vehicle fuel gauge intermittently operates to the point where the fuel gauge goes completely blank, the issue worsens with the onset of cold weather. Dealer will not repair as a defect and estimated a 1500.00 repair price. This condition can become especially dangerous when operator unable to ascertain fuel level, especially on high speed roadways where vehicle can become disabled due to low fuel levels and vulnerable to being struck by other vehicles. A web based search reveals this is a common customer complaint for this vehicle.

Oct 2024 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM A recall was issued in 2023 for a problem with the fuel pump which can cause a serious accident in the event of a failure. I've received two notices for the recall, however the dealer where I purchased the vehicle has not yet been able to obtain the parts from the manufacturer. I'm very concerned because of the potential consequences of failure of the fuel pump and would like to have the recall remedied as soon as possible.

Oct 2024 FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE,ENGINE The contact's daughter owns a 2019 Honda HR-V. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving 35 MPH, the vehicle shut off unintendedly, and occasionally the vehicle failed to start. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. Sep 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER 8/9/24 was the first time we noticed the gas/mileage gauge disappearing. It would do this almost everyday for no apparent reason leaving the driver (usually my teenage daughters) not knowing how much gas they had left. This particular disappearance happens on a regular basis which is quite concerning not knowing how much gas you have left. Also on 8/23/24 a light came on that said check fuel cap along with the yellow check engine light, yellow parking brake and flashing park symbol. These lights stayed on minus the fuel cap light for about 3 weeks. They have disappeared with now with only the issue of the disappearing fuel/mileage gauge remaining an off/on issue (but as stated above usually on a daily basis.) We replaced the fuels cap in case there was an issue and also took it to a Honda dealership on 9/27/24. They didn't check diagnostics as the other icons had turned off, but the gas gauge was still missing. They said it wouldn't show codes since the icons were missing. I also called the Honda corporation regarding this safety issue as there are multiple reports of this happening to others on several Honda forums with Honda HRV ranging from 2016-2020. It usually happens in this manner with the fuel gauge disappearing first then other icons coming off/on.
